DESCRIPTION

e TNE-Bx Diagnostic Slide-On® EndoSheath® System for the TNE-2000Bx Esophagoscope is specically designed for use with the
Vision Sciences® TNE-2000Bx Esophagoscope. e disposable EndoSheath® System (“e Sheath”) consists of a protective cover for the
endoscope that inc ludes a channel for air insuation a nd suction. e reu sable TNE-20 00Bx Esophago scope constr uction include s a
beropt ic image bundle, two ber optic illum ination bund les, and air/suc tion valve mech anism.

INDICATIONS FOR USE

e TNE -Bx Diagnostic Slide-O n® EndoShe ath® System for the T NE-2000Bx E sophagoscope i s indicated for us e in endoscopic access and
exam ination of the laryn x, esophagu s and gastro- esophageal junction . e Device may a lso be used to assist intubation.

WARNINGS

Slide- On® EndoSheath® systems wit h integrated c hannels have not been tested for laser compatibility.•
Aer the sheath is installed, do not touch the scope control body or eyepiece with the hand you use to manipulate the •
inser tion tube. If you must rotate t he diopter adjustment ring aer the s heath is inst alled, do so using a gauz e pad or replace
your glove prior to performing t he procedure. Fa ilure to follow instruc tions may cause p atient injury.
e TNE -2 000Bx Esopha goscope and Slide-On EndoSheath® Sys tem should not be used without a thorough review a nd •
unders tanding of the Owner’s Ma nual.
e TNE -2 000Bx Esopha goscope and Slide-On EndoSheath® Sys tem are designe d to be used as an integrate d system.•
Do not exp ose the interior or exterior of the sheat h to alcohol or other cleaning agents pr ior to use.•
Before in serting the Esophagoscope into t he Sheath, ensure that t he Insertion Tube is c lean and dry.•
e Diag nostic Sheath does not suppor t accessory tools. Do not attempt to pa ss any tool through the ch annel.•
Do not use t he System in the presence of a mmable anest hetics.•
e TNE -2 000Bx Esopha goscope has no removable par ts. Do not attempt to disassemble or uns crew.•
e steri le EndoSheath® System is designed for a single use only.•
e Esophagoscope and EndoSheath® System have no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt any repairs. If malfunction •
occurs, contac t the local di stributor.
Wear appropriate protective gear w hen using or clea ning the TNE-Bx EndoShe ath® System, including gown, gloves, f ace and •
eye shields.

ENDOSHEATH® SYSTEM INSTALLATION:

Double glove.1.
Place a 3M® Steri-Drape® 1010 or equivalent large towel drape over Installation Stand.2.
Check the EndoSheath® System pouch for any defects or damage.3.
Open package, remove the Sheath from the pouch. e Sheath should remain in the Protective Tube prior to installation.4.
Carefully remove Sheath from the Protective Tube. Place the Sheath into the Installation Stand with the Biopsy Port facing towards 5.
you. Once Protective Tube is removed, DO NOT reinstall on to Sheath, or Sheath damage may result. Discard Protective Tubing.
Take the Esophagoscope in hand and verify that articulation section is straight. e at side of the “D-shaped” Insertion Tube 6.
should align with the Accessory Port and face forward toward the Installer.
Gently slide the Insertion Tube of the scope into the Sheath, keep the at of the “D-shaped” Insertion Tube aligned with the 7.
Accessory Port and face forward toward the installer. DO NOT TWIST the Insertion Tube during insertion, doing so will cause
resistance.

IMPORTAN T NOTE: If there is resistanc e in loading the en doscope into the Sheath, verify th at Sheath Chann el is properly
aligned. If Channel is misaligned, straighten Channel before continuing scope insertion.

Align the Esophagoscope Locking Knob with the slot on the EndoSheath® Connector, and slide the Scope in until the Locking Pin 8.
is fully seated at the base of the slot.
Rotate the Scope Locking Knob on clockwise 90° so that it rmly holds the Sheath in place against the Scope.9.
Connect the Air Insuation Tubing to the front side of the Control Valve Mechanism by depressing the front button and 10.
stretching the tubing against the tubing slot. When the tubing is seated in the valve, release the button. is will squeeze squeeze
the air insuation channel closed.
Connect the Air Insuation Tubing to the Vision Sciences APU-1000 (or APU-1001) Air Pump.11.
Connect the Suction Tubing to the rear side of the Control Valve Mechanism by depressing the back button and stretching the 12.
tubing against the tubing slot. When the tubing is seated in the valve, release the button. is will squeeze the suction channel closed.
Connect the Suction Tubing to a vacuum source.13.
Connect the Light Guide Cable with the Light Source.14.
Secure tubes to the Light Guide Cable with clips.15.
Inspect Sheath Window to assure scope tip is seated ush against it. If not, articulate scope until window seats properly.16.
Turn on the Air Pump, the Suction Pump and the Light Source. Verify system functions perform properly.17.
e system is ready for use.18.

SYSTEM REMOVAL:

SUCTION FLUIDS OUT OF SHEATH by depressing both control valve buttons simultaneously. Release the air button rst, then 1.
the suction button.
Wearing double-gloves, load scope into draped Installation Stand. 2.
Remove outer gloves. (DO NOT handle endoscope with contaminated gloves.)3.
Disconnect the Air Insuation Luer from the reusable air pump tubing BEFORE disconnecting the suction tubing.4.
Disconnect the Suction Connector from the suction source.5.
Remove the Air Tube from the Control Valve Mechanism by depressing the front button and pulling the tubing free.6.
Remove the Suction Tube from the Control Valve Mechanism by depressing the back button and pulling the tubing free.7.
Rotate Scope Locking Knob into the vertical removal position so it is aligned with the slot on the EndoSheath® Connector.8.
Hold the control body of the Scope with one hand. Using the hanging drape as a barrier between ngers and Sheath, gently grasp 9.
the window of the Sheath and slowly and gently withdraw the Scope from the Sheath.
Once Scope has been removed past the articulation section, release the window of the Sheath and slowly remove the 10.
Esophagoscope from the Sheath. Place Esophagoscope in non-contaminated area.
It is important to inspect the insertion tube and distal end portion of the Esophagoscope to ensure these areas are dry. If there is 11.
any moisture present, this indicates that there may have been a leak during the endoscopy procedure, providing the endoscope was
dry when the Sheath was installed.
If a leak is suspected, the Esophagoscope must be High Level Disinfected or sterilized following the recommended cleaning 12.
procedure per the TNE-2000Bx Owner’s Manual.
Dispose of the contaminated Sheath per hospital or oce policy.13.
Turn o the Air Pump, the Suction Pump and the Light Source.14.

RECOMMENDED ENDOSCOPE CLEANING AND DISINFECTION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Bec ause the possibility exists th at a Sheath could c ome into contact with conta minated surfaces, the user should develop and
follow a p rophylactic ro utine which includes exercisin g care when handling the sheathed and un sheathed scop e, and a cleaning routine
which inc ludes the foll owing steps aer each clinical proc edure:

Aer she ath removal, in spect the ins ertion tube an d distal port ion of the scope to ensure the se areas are dry. If th ere is no mois ture on

the ins ertion tub e, use the fol lowing clea ning and disin fection proc edure.

CLEANING PROCEDURE

Clean t he scope by gently w ashing al l external su rfaces wit h an appropriate i nstrument detergent.•
Rinse all su rfaces thoroughly w ith clean luk ewarm water.•
Dry the scope thoroughly aer rinsing.•

DISINFECTION PROCEDURE

Wipe the entire berscope with gauze soaked in 70% alcohol •
Ensure that al l external surface s of the scope are t horoughly dr ied prior to inst alling another sheath or stori ng the scope.•

Aer she ath removal fr om the scope, if t here is any moistu re present follow ing inspect ion of the insert ion tube this is an indication
that t here may have been a lea k during the endoscopy procedure, providing the endosc ope was dry whe n the sheath wa s installed. If a
leak is suspect ed, the scope mu st be disinfected (hi gh-level) or steri lized following t he manufacturer’s inst ructions.

NOTE: Leak test the n asopharyngoscope a ccording to manufacturer’s in structio ns, prior to su bmerging the scope in any ui d.

MONTAGE DU SYSTÈME ENDOSHEATH® :

Gant double1.
Placez un drap 3M® Steri-Drape® 1010 ou une grande serviette équivalente sur le support d’installation.2.
Vériez la poche du système EndoSheath® pour détecter tout défaut ou dommage.3.
Ouvrez l’emballage, retirez la gaine de la poche. La gaine doit rester dans le tube protecteur avant l’installation.4.
Retirez soigneusement la gaine du tube protecteur. Placez la gaine dans le support d’installation avec l’orice de biopsie face à vous. 5.
Une fois le tube protecteur retiré, NE le réinstallez PAS sur la gaine, celle-ci pourrait s’endommager. Jetez le tube protecteur.
Prenez l’œsophagoscope en main et vériez que la section d’articulation est droite. Le côté plat du tube d’insertion en forme de D 6.
doit s’aligner avec l’orice pour accessoire.
Glissez doucement le tube d’insertion du scope dans la gaine, en gardant le côté plat du tube d’insertion en forme de D aligné avec 7.
l’orice pour accessoire. NE TORDEZ PAS le tube d’insertion pendant l’insertion, cela provoquerait de la résistance.

REM ARQUE IMPORTANTE : En cas de résistanc e lors du charge ment du scope dan s la gaine, vér ier que le canal de la gaine
est correctement aligné. Si le canal est mal aligné, redressez le canal avant de continuer l’insertion du scope.

Alignez le bouton de verrouillage de l’œsophagoscope avec la fente sur le logement de l’EndoSheath® et glissez le scope jusqu’à ce 8.
que la goupille de verrouillage soit entièrement logée au niveau de la base de la fente.
Faites tourner le bouton de verrouillage du scope dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre à 90° an qu’il maintienne fermement la 9.
gaine en place contre le scope.
Reliez la tubulure d’insuation au côté avant du mécanisme de soupape de régulation de débit en appuyant sur le bouton avant et 10.
en étirant la tubulure contre la fente de la tubulure. Quand la tubulure est logée dans la soupape, relâchez le bouton. Cela fermera
par pincement le canal d’insuation d’air.
Reliez la tubulure d’insuation à la source d’air Vision Sciences APU-1000/-1001.11.
Reliez la tubulure d’aspiration au côté arrière du mécanisme de soupape de régulation de débit en appuyant sur le bouton arrière et 12.
en étirant la tubulure contre la fente de la tubulure. Quand la tubulure est logée dans la soupape, relâchez le bouton. Cela fermera le

RETRAIT DU SYSTÈME :

ASPIREZ LES FLUIDES HORS DE LA GAINE en appuyant simultanément sur les deux boutons de la soupape de régulation de 1.
débit. Libérez le bouton d’air en premier, puis le bouton d’aspiration.
En portant des gants doubles, mettre le scope dans le support d’installation drapé. 2.
Retirez les gants extérieurs. (NE tenez PAS l’endoscope avec des gants contaminés).3.
Débranchez le raccord Luer du canal d’aération de la tubulure de la pompe à air réutilisable AVANT de débrancher la tubulure 4.
d’aspiration.
Débranchez le raccord du canal d’aspiration de la source d’aspiration.5.
Retirez le tube d’insuation d’air du mécanisme de soupape de régulation de débit en appuyant sur le bouton avant et en libérant la 6.

Séchez soigneus ement le scope après le r inçage.•

PROCÉDURE DE DÉSINFECTION

Essuyez l’intégralité du broscope avec de la gaze trempée dans de l’alcool à 70 %. •
Assurez-vous que toutes les surfaces externes du scope sont soigneusement séchées avant d’installer une autre gaine ou de •
ranger le scope.

Après le ret rait de la gaine du scope, en c as de présence d ’humidité s uite à l’in spection du tube d’i nsertion, cela indiqu e qu’il peut y
avoir eu une fuite pendant la procédure d’endoscopie, à condition que l’endoscope ait été sec quand la gaine a été installée. Si une fuite

INSTALLAZIONE DEL SISTEMA ENDOSHEATH®:

Doppio guanto.1.
Collocare un telo 3M® Steri-Drape® 1010 o equivalente di grandi dimensioni sul supporto di installazione2.
Controllare che il sacchetto del sistema EndoSheath® non presenti alterazioni o danni.3.
Aprire la confezione e rimuovere la guaina dalla busta. Prima dell'installazione, la guaina dovrebbe rimanere nel tubo protettivo.4.
Rimuovere con attenzione la guaina dal tubo protettivo. Collocare la guaina nel supporto di installazione con la porta per la biopsia 5.
rivolta verso di sé. Una volta rimosso il tubo protettivo, NON reinstallare la guaina, in quanto potrebbe danneggiarsi. Smaltire il
tubo protettivo.
Prendere in mano l'esofagoscopio e vericare che la sezione di articolazione sia rettilinea. Il lato piatto del tubo di inserimento con 6.
sezione a "D" dovrebbe allinearsi all'apertura per gli accessori ed essere rivolto verso il basso rispetto all'operatore.

Disconnettere il luer di insuazione dai tubi riutilizzabili della pompa per l'aria PRIMA di disconnettere il tubo di aspirazione.4.
Disconnettere il connettore di aspirazione dalla sorgente aspirante.5.
Rimuovere il tubo di insuazione dal meccanismo a valvola di controllo del usso, premendo il pulsante frontale e tirando il tubo 6.

PROCEDURA DI PULIZIA

o riporre l’endoscopio.

Dopo la rimozione della gua ina dall ’endoscopio, se è presente d ell’umidità dopo l’ ispezione del t ubo di inser imento questo
indic a che ci potrebbe e ssere stata un a perdita dura nte la procedura d i endoscopia, a mmesso che l ’endoscopio foss e stato
asciut to al momento dell ’insta llazione della gua ina. Se si sospetta u na perdita, l ’end oscopio deve essere disin fettato (in modo
profondo) o sterilizz ato seguendo le istruz ioni del produttore .

besteht aus einer Sc hutzhülle für das Endoskop, in die ein Kana l für die Lu zufüh rung bzw. zum Absaugen int egriert ist. Das wie der
verwend bare TNE-20 00Bx Esophagoskop besteht aus einem Glasfaser-B ildübertr agungsbündel, zwei Glasfaser-L ichtleiterbü ndeln sowie
einem Lu zufuh r-/A bsaugventi l-Mechanismu s.

INDIKATIONEN

Das TN E-Bx Diagnostic Slide- On® EndoSheath®-Sy stem für das T NE-2000Bx E sophagoskop ist f ür die Verwendung b ei der
endoskopi schen Untersuchun g von Kehlkopf, Spe iseröhre und Ma geneingang gee ignet. Außerdem kann d ie Vor richtung zu r

MONTAGE DES ENDOSHEATH®SYSTEMS:

Doppelte Handschuhe tragen.1.
Ein 3M® Steri-Drape® 1010 oder eine entsprechend große Abdeckfolie über den Montageständer breiten.2.
Die Verpackung des EndoSheath®-Systems auf Beschädigungen prüfen.3.
Verpackung önen und den Scha entnehmen. Der Scha sollte bis zum Einführen des Endoskops in der Schutzröhre verbleiben.4.
Scha vorsichtig aus der Schutzröhre nehmen. Den Scha im Montageständer platzieren. Dabei darauf achten, dass der Biopsie-5.
Anschluss zu Ihnen weist. Die entfernte Schutzröhre NICHT wieder über den Scha schieben, da dies den Scha beschädigen
könnte. Die Schutzröhre entsorgen.
Das Esophagoskop zur Hand nehmen und überprüfen, ob der abwinkelbare Abschnitt gerade ist. Die ache Seite des D-förmigen 6.
Einführschlauchs sollte auf den Zubehöranschluss ausgerichtet sein und zum Montierenden weisen.
Den Einführschlauch des Endoskops vorsichtig in den Scha gleiten lassen. Dabei die ache Seite des D-förmigen 7.

Schakanal völlig gerade i st. Ist der Schakana l nicht gerade, m uss er gerade gebogen werde n, bevor das En doskop eingeführt
wird.

Den Sperrknopf des Esophagoskops auf die Aussparung im EndoSheath®-Anschluss ausrichten und das Endoskop einführen, bis 8.
der Sperrsti vollständig in der Basis der Aussparung sitzt.
Den Sperrknopf des Endoskops 90° im Uhrzeigersinn drehen, damit der Scha gut am Endoskop befestigt ist.9.
Den Luzuführungsschlauch an der Vorderseite des Steuerventilmechanismus anbringen. Hierzu den vorderen Knopf drücken 10.
und den Schlauch dehnen und über die Aussparung schieben. Wenn der Schlauch ordnungsgemäß auf dem Ventil sitzt, den Knopf
loslassen. Hierdurch wird der Luzuführungskanal zugedrückt.
Den Luzuführungsschlauch mit der Vision Sciences APU-1000 (oder APU-1001) Lupumpe verbinden.11.
Den Ansaugschlauch an der Hinterseite des Steuerventilmechanismus anbringen. Hierzu den hinteren Knopf drücken und 12.
den Schlauch dehnen und über die Aussparung schieben. Wenn der Schlauch ordnungsgemäß auf dem Ventil sitzt, den Knopf
loslassen. Hierdurch wird der Absaugkanal zugedrückt.
Den Absaugschlauch mit einer Vakuumquelle verbinden.13.
Das Lichtleiterkabel mit der Lichtquelle verbinden.14.
Die Schläuche und das Lichtleiterkabel mit Klammern sichern.15.
Im Schafenster prüfen, ob die Endoskopspitze plan daran anliegt. Anderenfalls das abwinkelbare Ende des Endoskops bewegen, 16.
bis das Fenster ordnungsgemäß sitzt.
Lupumpe, Absaugpumpe und Lichtquelle einschalten. Korrekte Ausführung der Systemfunktionen überprüfen.17.
Das System ist nun einsatzbereit.18.

ENTFERNUNG DES SYSTEMS:

FLÜSSIGKEIT AUS DEM SCHAFT ABSAUGEN. Dazu beide Steuerventilknöpfe gleichzeitig drücken. Zunächst den Luknopf 1.
loslassen, anschließend den Absaugknopf.
Doppelte Handschuhe überziehen und Endoskop in den mit der Abdeckfolie geschützten Installation Stand einsetzen. 2.
Äußere Handschuhe ausziehen. (Endoskop NIEMALS mit verschmutzten Handschuhen berühren.)3.
Den Luzuführungs-Luer-Anschluss vom wieder verwendbaren Lupumpenschlauch trennen, BEVOR Sie die Verbindung mit 4.
dem Absaugschlauch trennen.
Absauganschluss von der Absaugquelle trennen.5.

Bereiche trocken sind. Falls Feuchtigkeit vorhanden ist, kann dies ein Anzeichen dafür sein, dass Flüssigkeit während der
Endoskopie durch eine undichte Stelle eingedrungen ist (sofern das Endoskop beim Einführen in den Scha trocken war).
Bei Verdacht auf eine undichte Stelle muss das Esophagoskop gemäß den Anweisungen in der Gebrauchsanweisung zum TNE-12.
2000Bx desinziert (High-Level) oder sterilisiert werden.
Den verschmutzten Scha entsprechend den geltenden Richtlinien entsorgen.13.

Anmerkung: Da die Möglichke it besteht, da ss der Scha mi t verschmutzten Oberächen in Kontakt kommt, sollt e der Benutzer
eine Pro phylaxeroutine entw ickeln und befolgen, di e zum einen den vorsichtigen Umgang mit de m Endoskop (mit ode r ohne
Scha) und z um anderen eine Reinigungsroutin e umfasst, die d ie folgenden Schritte n ach jeder klinischen Ver wendung aufwe ist:

Nach dem Entfernen des Schas den Einführschlauch und den distalen Teil des Endoskops überprüfen und sicherstellen,
dass diese Bere iche trocken s ind. Wenn der Einführschlauch kein e Feuchtigkeit aufwei st, das folgende Reinigungs- und
Desinfektionsverfahren anwenden.

REINIGUNGSVERFAHREN

Alle äu ßeren Flächen des Endoskops vorsichtig mit einem geeigneten I nstrumentenreinigungsm ittel abwaschen.•
Alle Oberächen sorgf ältig mit lauw armem Wasser abspülen.•
Das Endoskop nach dem A bspülen sorgf ältig abtrocknen.•

DESINFEKTIONSVERFAHREN

Das gesamte Endoskop mit Gaze abwischen, die mit 70prozentigem Alkohol getränkt ist. •
Sicherstellen, dass alle äußeren Flächen des E ndoskop vollständig abgetrock net sind, bevor ein neuer Scha •
übergezogen oder das Endoskop auewa hrt wird.

Fall s nach dem Entfern en des Schas vom Endoskop be i der Überprü fung des Ei nführsc hlauchs Feuchtigkeit bemerkt wird,
kann dies ein Anzeichen dafür sein, dass Flüssigkeit während der Endoskopie durch eine undichte Stelle eingedrungen ist
(sofern das Endoskop beim Einführen in den Scha trocken war). Bei Verdacht auf eine undichte Stelle muss das Endoskop
gemäß Her stelleranwe isungen desin ziert (High-Level) o der sterili siert werden.

Anmerkung: Das Na sopharyng oskop vor dem Eintauchen in Flüssigkeit gemäß Herste lleranweisu ngen auf undicht e Stellen prüfen.

El sistema de diag nóstico TNE-Bx Slide- On® EndoSheath® se ha diseñado especí camente para su uso con el es ofagoscopio TN E-2000Bx
de Vision Sciences®. El sistema desechable EndoSheath® (“La vaina”) se compone de una cubierta protectora para el endoscopio que
incluye u n canal par a el suminis tro y succión de aire. El esofagoscopio reutil izable TNE-2000Bx se c ompone de los siguientes elementos:
el sistema de imagen d e bra óptica, do s sistemas de ilu minación de br a óptica y mecanismo de vá lvula de su ministro/suc ción de aire.

INDICACIONES DE USO

El sistema de diag nóstico TNE-Bx Slide- On® EndoSheath® pa ra el esofagosc opio TNE-200 0Bx está indic ado para proced imientos
endoscópicos y de exploración de la laringe, el esófago y la unión gastroesofágica. El dispositivo también se puede utilizar en
proced imientos de int ubación.

ADVERTENCIAS

No se ha comprobado la compat ibilidad con láser de los sistemas Sl ide-On® EndoSheat h® con canales i ntegrados.•

No exponga el interior o exterior de la vaina al alcohol ni a otros productos de l impieza antes de su utilización.•
Antes de i nsertar el e sofagoscopio, asegúre se de que el tubo de inserción es tá limpio y seco.•

El esofagoscopio y el sistema EndoSheath® TNE-D no incluyen ning una pieza que pueda ser repa rada por el usua rio. No •
