Sicherheitshinweise
• Jede Behandlung bzw. Diät bei Über- oder Untergewicht bedarf einer
qualifizierten Beratung durch entsprechendes Fachpersonal (Arzt,
Diätassistent). Die mit der Waage ermittelten Werte können dabei unterstützend sein.
• Kippgefahr!
Stellen Sie die Waage niemals auf einen unebenen Untergrund.
Steigen Sie niemals nur auf eine Ecke der Waage.
Stellen Sie sich beim Wiegen nicht auf eine Seite und nicht auf den Rand
der Waage.
• Rutschgefahr!
Besteigen Sie die Waage niemals mit nassen Füßen.
Besteigen Sie die Waage niemals mit Socken.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur entsprechend seiner Bestimmung laut
Gebrauchsanweisung.
• Bei Zweck ent fremdung erlischt der Garantie anspruch.
• Die Waage ist für den Hausgebrauch gefertigt. Sie ist nicht für den
gewerblichen Einsatz in Krankenhäusern oder sonstigen medizinischen
Einrichtungen bestimmt.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn es nicht einwandfrei funktioniert,
wenn es herunter- oder ins Wasser gefallen ist oder beschädigt wurde.
• Die Waage hat einen Meßbereich bis zu 180 kg, 396 lb/28.8 st. Überladen Sie die Waage nicht.
• Stellen Sie die Waage auf einen festen ebenen Untergrund. Weiche,
unebene Flächen sind für die Messung ungeeignet und führen zu falschen
Ergebnissen.
• Platzieren Sie die Waage an einem Ort, an dem weder extreme Temperaturen noch extreme Luftfeuchtigkeit auftreten.
• Halten Sie die Waage von Wasser fern.
• Gehen Sie vorsichtig mit der Waage um. Vermeiden Sie Schläge und
Erschütterungen der Waage. Lassen Sie sie nicht fallen.
• Versuchen Sie nicht, das Gerät zu zerlegen, andernfalls erlischt die
Garantie. Außer der Batterie enthält dieses Gerät keine Teile, die vom
Benutzer gewartet bzw. gewechselt werden können.
• Im Falle von Störungen reparieren Sie das Gerät nicht selbst, da dadurch
je glicher Garantie an spruch erlischt. Lassen Sie Repa ra turen nur von der
autorisierten Service stelle durch führen.
• Wenn Sie beabsichtigen, das Gerät längere Zeit nicht zu benutzen, entfernen Sie die Batterie.

Damit Sie den gewünschten Erfolg erzielen und recht lange Freude an Ihrer
MEDISANA Personenwaage PSL haben, empfehlen wir Ihnen, die nachstehenden Hinweise zum Gebrauch und zur Pflege sorgfältig zu lesen.
Bitte prüfen Sie zunächst, ob das Gerät vollständig ist und keinerlei Beschädigung aufweist. Im Zweifelsfalle nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und
senden Sie es an eine Servicestelle.

Verpackungen sind wiederverwendbar oder können dem Rohstoffkreislauf
zurückgeführt werden. Bitte entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigtes Verpackungsmaterial ordnungsgemäß. Sollten Sie beim Auspacken einen Transportschaden bemerken, setzen Sie sich bitte sofort mit Ihrem Händler in
Verbindung.

Voraussetzungen
für korrekte
Messergebnisse
Zuverlässige Messergebnisse sind nur unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen zu erreichen:
• Wiegen Sie sich stets unter den gleichen Bedingungen.
• Messen Sie jeweils zur gleichen Tageszeit.
• Stehen Sie aufrecht und ruhig.
• Führen Sie die Messung am besten morgens, nach dem Duschen oder
Baden, mit trockenen Füßen durch.
Mit den Messergebnissen ist, bei konsequenter Durchführung, eine zuverlässige Kontrolle der Entwicklung des Körpergewichtes möglich.

3 Betrieb
3.1
Batterie
einsetzen/wechseln
In Ihrer neuen Waage ist bereits eine Knopf-Batterie (Typ CR2032) eingelegt.
Bevor Sie die Waage in Betrieb nehmen können, müssen Sie den Isolationsstreifen aus dem Batteriefach an der Unterseite des Gerätes ziehen.
Wechseln Sie die Batterie aus, wenn das Batteriewechsel-Symbol "Lo" im
Display erscheint oder wenn im Display nichts angezeigt wird, nachdem
das Gerät eingeschaltet wurde. Öffnen Sie dazu das Batteriefach auf der
Unterseite des Gerätes und setzen Sie eine Knopf-Batterie (Typ CR2032) ein.
Setzen Sie die Batterie in das freie Fach ein (nicht in das Fach mit dem roten
Aufkleber)! Achten Sie dabei auf die Polarität (Plus-Pol nach oben; zum
Deckel weisend). Schließen Sie das Batteriefach wieder.

BATTERIE-SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
• Batterien nicht auseinandernehmen!
• Erschöpfte Batterien umgehend aus dem Gerät entfernen!
• Erhöhte Auslaufgefahr, Kontakt mit Haut, Augen und
Schleimhäuten vermeiden! Bei Kontakt mit Batteriesäure die
betroffenen Stellen sofort mit reichlich klarem Wasser spülen
und umgehend einen Arzt aufsuchen!
• Sollte eine Batterie verschluckt worden sein, ist sofort ein Arzt
aufzusuchen!
• Immer alle Batterien gleichzeitig austauschen!
• Nur Batterien des gleichen Typs einsetzen, keine unterschiedlichen Typen oder gebrauchte und neue Batterien miteinander
verwenden!
• Legen Sie Batterien korrekt ein, beachten Sie die Polarität!
• Batterien bei längerer Nichtverwendung aus dem Gerät
entfernen!
• Batterien von Kindern fernhalten!
• Batterien nicht wiederaufladen! Es besteht Explosionsgefahr!
• Nicht kurzschließen! Es besteht Explosionsgefahr!
• Nicht ins Feuer werfen! Es besteht Explosionsgefahr!
• Werfen Sie verbrauchte Batterien und Akkus nicht in den Haus
müll, sondern in den Sondermüll oder in eine Batterie-Sammelstation im Fachhandel!

Stellen Sie die Waage auf einen harten ebenen Untergrund. Dies garantiert
exakte Messergebnisse und ist Voraussetzung für ein sicheres Wiegen ohne
Verletzungsgefahr.
1. Wenn Sie die Waage bewegt haben, kann es vorkommen, dass dabei das
Display aktiviert wird. Wenn etwas anderes als "0.0 kg” angezeigt wird,
warten Sie ca. 30 Sekunden, bis sich die Waage automatisch ausschaltet.
2. Schalten Sie die Waage ein, indem Sie mit einem Fuß kurz die Standfläche anstoßen.
3. Im Display wird kurz "8888” und anschließend "0.0 kg” angezeigt.
Die Personenwaage ist messbereit. Steigen Sie nicht auf die Waage,
bevor "0.0 kg” angezeigt wird!
4. Stellen Sie sich auf die Waage und bleiben Sie ruhig stehen. Während Ihr
Gewicht ermittelt wird, bewegt sich die Anzeige. Wenn sich das Messergebnis stabilisiert hat, bleibt die Anzeige stehen. Ihr gemessenes
Körpergewicht, z. B. 65.1 (65 kg 100 g) wird für einige Sekunden angezeigt. Danach schaltet die Waage automatisch ab. Steigen Sie von der
Waage.
HINWEIS
Wenn Sie sich nach dem Einschalten nicht innerhalb von
10 Sekunden auf die Waage stellen, schaltet sich diese
automatisch aus, um Batterien zu sparen.
Sie können die Gewichtseinheit der MEDISANA Personenwaage PSL
umschalten. Drehen Sie die Waage um und wählen Sie mit dem schwarzen
Umschalter die gewünschte Gewichtseinheit KG, LB oder ST.

Fehlermeldungen
Folgende Fehlermeldungen können im Display angezeigt werden:
Lo Die Batterie muss ersetzt werden.
Err Die Waage ist überladen.
Sollte Ihre Personenwaage nicht wunschgemäß funktionieren, prüfen Sie
Folgendes, bevor Sie sich mit der Servicestelle in Verbindung setzen.
• Prüfen Sie, ob Sie die Batterie korrekt eingelegt haben.
• Prüfen Sie, ob Sie die richtige Gewichtseinheit ausgewählt haben.
• Prüfen Sie, ob die Waage frei auf einem festen und ebenen Untergrund
steht. Sie darf nicht an eine Wand oder sonstigen Gegenstand anstoßen.
• Wiederholen Sie das Wiegen und achten Sie dabei darauf, erst auf die
Waage zu steigen, wenn im Diplay "0.0 kg” angezeigt wird.

• Entfernen Sie die Batterie, bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen.
• Verwenden Sie nie aggressive Reinigungsmittel oder starke Bürsten.
• Reinigen Sie die Personenwaage nur mit einem weichen, leicht angefeuchteten Tuch. Verwenden Sie keinesfalls scharfe Reinigungsmittel oder
Alkohol.

Garantie- und
Reparaturbedingungen
Bitte wenden Sie sich im Garantiefall an Ihr Fachgeschäft oder direkt an die
Servicestelle. Sollten Sie das Gerät einschicken müssen, geben Sie bitte den
Defekt an und legen eine Kopie der Kaufquittung bei.
Es gelten dabei die folgenden Garantiebedingungen:
1. Auf MEDISANA Produkte wird ab Verkaufsdatum eine Garantie für drei
Jahre gewährt. Das Verkaufsdatum ist im Garantiefall durch die Kaufquittung oder Rechnung nachzuweisen.
2. Mängel infolge von Material- oder Fertigungsfehlern werden innerhalb der
Garantiezeit kostenlos beseitigt.
3. Durch eine Garantieleistung tritt keine Verlängerung der Garantiezeit,
weder für das Gerät noch für ausgewechselte Bauteile, ein.
4. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind:
a. alle Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Behandlung, z.B. durch Nicht-
beachtung der Gebrauchsanleitung, entstanden sind.

Reliable measurements can only be achieved under certain prerequisites:
• Always weigh yourself under the same conditions.
• Always weigh yourself at the same time of day.
• Stand up straight and stand still.
• Weigh yourself preferably in the morning, after showering or bathing,
and with dry feet.
It is possible to obtain a reliable indication of body weight development
from the results if measurements are carried out consistently.

Insert/replace
batteries
One button cell batterie (type CR2032) is already inserted in your new scale.
The insulating strip must be pulled out of the battery compartment on
the underside of the unit before the scale can be operated. Replace the
batterie if the battery change symbol "Lo" appears in the display or if
nothing appears in the display when the device is switched on. To do this,
open the battery compartment beneath the device and insert one cell
batterie (type CR2032). Place the battery in the empty compartment (not the
compartment with the red sticker)! Please note polarity (positive pole
upwards; facing towards the lid). Close the battery compartment again.
WARNING
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION

Do not disassemble batteries!
• Remove discharged batteries from the device immediately!
• Increased risk of leakage, avoid contact with skin, eyes and
mucous membranes! If battery acid comes in contact with
skin, rinse the affected area with copious amounts of fresh

Error messages
Place the scales on a hard, level base. This ensures accurate measuring
results and is the requirement for safe weighing without risk of injury.
1. If you have moved the scales, this may cause the display to be activated.
If anything other than “0.0 kg“ is displayed, wait approx. 30 seconds
until the scales switch off automatically.
2. Switch the scales on by briefly tapping the standing area with a foot.
3. “8888” will appear briefly on the display followed by “0.0 kg”. The
personal scales are ready to measure. Do not step onto the scales before
“0.0 kg“ is displayed!
4. Stand on the scales and remain still. The display moves while your weight
is being calculated. When the measurement has stabilised, the display
stands still. Your measured body weight, e.g. 65.1 (65 kg 100 g), will be
displayed for several seconds. The scales then switch off automatically.
Step down from the scales.
NOTE
The scales will switch off automatically to save batteries if
you do not step onto the scales within 10 seconds.
The measuring unit of the MEDISANA personal scales PSL may be changed
over. Turn the scales over and select the desired measuring unit KG, LB or
ST using the black changeover switch .
The following error messages may appear in the display:
Lo Replace the battery.
Err The scale is overloaded.

If your personal scales do not function to your satisfaction, check the
following before contacting a service centre.
• Check whether the batteries have been inserted correctly.
• Check whether the correct unit of weight has been selected.
• Check whether the scales are freestanding on a solid and even surface.
They must not be touching a wall or any other object.
• Weigh yourself again and make sure that you only step on the scales
when “0.0 kg“ has appeared in the display.

Warranty and
repair terms
Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim under the
warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and state what the defect is.
The following warranty terms apply:
1. The warranty period for MEDISANA products is three years from date of
purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be
proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.
2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge
within the warranty period.
3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the
unit or for the replacement parts.
4. The following is excluded under the warranty:
a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-
observance of the user instructions.
b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or
unauthorised third parties.
c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to
the consumer or during transport to the service centre.
d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear (batteries etc.).
5. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are

3 Application
3.1
Insérer/changer
les piles
Votre nouvelle balance est déjà équipée d’une pile bouton (de type
CR2032). Avant de pouvoir mettre en marche la balance, vous devez retirer
la bande isolante qui se trouve dans le compartiment à piles sur la face
inférieure de l’appareil. Remplacez la pile lorsque le symbole « Lo » apparaît
à l’écran ou lorsque rien ne s’affiche après que l’appareil ait été mis en
marche. Ouvrez le compartiment à piles situé sur le dessous de l’appareil et
insérez une pile bouton (type CR2032). Insérez la pile dans le compartiment
libre (et non dans le compartiment avec l’autocollant rouge)! Veuillez tenir
compte de la polarité des piles (pôle positif vers le haut ; tourné vers le
couvercle). Refermez le compartiment à piles.
AVERTISSEMENT

Placez le pèse-personne sur un sol ferme et plat. Cela garantit des résultats
de mesure exacts et une pesée sûre sans risque de blessure.
1. Si vous avez déplacé la balance, il se peut que cela ait activé l’affichage.
Si quelque chose d’autre que «0,0 kg» s’affiche, attendez 30 sec.
environ que la balance s’éteigne automatiquement.
2. Allumez la balance en appuyant brièvement du pied sur la surface .
3. Vous voyez s’afficher brièvement à l’écran fois « 8888 » , puis
« 0.0 kg ». Le pèse-personne est prêt à l’emploi. Ne montez pas sur la
balance avant que «0.0 kg» s’affiche!
4. Montez sur le pèse-personne et restez immobile. L’affichage change
pendant que votre poids est déterminé. L’affichage ne change plus
lorsque la mesure s’est stabilisée. Votre poids de corps mesuré, p. ex.
65.1 (65 kg 100 g) s’affiche pendant quelques secondes. Puis la balance
s’éteint automatiquement. Descendez du pèse-personne.
REMARQUE
Si vous ne montez pas sur la balance dans les 10 secondes qui
suivent sa mise en marche, la balance s’éteint automatiquement
pour économiser les piles.
Vous pouvez commuter l’unité de mesure du pèse-personne PSL MEDISANA.
Retournez le pèse-personne et sélectionnez l’unité de poids de votre choix à
l’aide du commutateur noir (KG, LB ou ST).

Messages d’erreur
Les messages d’erreur suivants peuvent s’afficher :
Lo La pile doit être remplacée.
Err La balance est surchargée.
Si votre pèse-personne ne fonctionnait pas correctement, vérifiez les points
suivants avant de contacter le service après-vente.
• Vérifiez que la pile est correctement positionnée.
• Vérifiez que vous avez sélectionné la bonne unité de poids.
• Vérifiez que la balance est placée sur un sol fixe et plat. Elle ne doit pas
toucher un mur ou un autre objet.
• Répétez la pesée et assurez-vous de ne monter sur la balance que lorsque
l’affichage indique «0.0 kg».

• L’eau ne doit pas pénétrer dans l’appareil. Attendez que l’appareil soit
complètement sec pour le réutiliser.
• Retirez la pile de l’appareil lorsque vous ne vous en servez pas durant une
période prolongée. Les piles risqueraient de couler.
• N’exposez pas l’appareil aux rayons directs du soleil, protégez-le des
saletés et de l’humidité.
Cet appareil ne doit pas être placé avec les ordures ménagères.
Chaque consommateur doit ramener les appareils électriques ou électroniques, qu’ils contiennent des substances nocives ou non, à un point de
collecte de sa commune ou dans le commerce afin de permettre leur élimination écologique.
