• Die Waage ist nur für den Hausgebrauch bestimmt. Sie ist nicht
geeignet für medizinische oder kommerzielle Anwendungen; sie
ist nicht amtlich geeicht.

• Platzieren Sie die Waage an einem Ort, an dem weder extreme
Temperaturen noch extreme Luftfeuchtigkeit auftreten. Halten Sie
die Waage von Wasser fern.

• Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht der direkten Sonnenstrahlung aus.

• Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von hochfrequenten
elektromagnetischen Sendern, da diese die Gerätefunktion stören
könnten.

• Die Waage hat einen Messbereich bis zu 180 kg (396 lb). Überla­den Sie die Waage nicht, das könnte sie beschädigen.

• Gehen Sie vorsichtig mit der Waage um. Vermeiden Sie Schläge
und Erschütterungen der Waage. Lassen Sie sie nicht fallen und
lassen Sie nichts darauf fallen. Sollte das Gerät herunterfallen
und zerbrechen, besteht Verletzungsgefahr durch Splitter.

• Im Falle von Störungen reparieren Sie das Gerät nicht selbst, da

Vorausset­zungen
für korrekte
Messergeb­nisse

Zuverlässige Messergebnisse sind nur unter bestimmten
Voraussetzungen zu erreichen:

• Stehen Sie aufrecht.

• Messen Sie möglichst jeweils zur gleichen Tageszeit.

Mit den Messergebnissen ist, bei konsequenter Durchführung, eine
zuverlässige Kontrolle der Entwicklung des Körpergewichtes möglich.

Bevor Sie Ihre digitale Waage in Betrieb nehmen, legen Sie die 3
beigefügten 1,5 V-Batterien (AAA) in das Gerät ein. Öffnen
Sie dazu das Batteriefach auf der Unterseite des Gerätes 1 und
setzen Sie die Batterien ein. Achten Sie dabei auf die Polarität
(Abbildung im Batteriefach). Setzen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel
wieder ein und drücken Sie ihn an, so dass er hörbar einrastet.
Wechseln Sie die Batterien aus, wenn das Batteriewechsel-Symbol
«Lo» im Display erscheint oder wenn im Display nichts angezeigt
wird, nachdem das Gerät betätigt wurde.

Gewichtseinheit ändern

Drücken Sie kurz in die Mitte der Waagenoberäche. Im Display er­scheint «0.0». Sie können nun mit der Taste
Rückseite der Waage die gewünschte Einheit (kg - lb) auswählen. Drü-

cken und halten Sie die Taste!

Sprache ändern

Drücken Sie kurz in die Mitte der Waagenoberäche. Im Display er­scheint «0.0». Mit der Taste zur Einstellung der Sprache 3 kann
die gewünschte Sprache (Deutsch [DE], Englisch [GB], Französisch
[FR], Spanisch [ES]) für die Audioausgabe des Gewichts
eingestellt werden. Drücken Sie wiederholt auf die Taste!

Mittels des Einstellrades 2 kann jederzeit die Lautstärke der Ansage
eingestellt werden.

Wenn keine weitere Bedienung vorgenommen wird, schaltet sich die
Waage nach ca. 10 Sekunden automatisch ab. Sie ist nun für die
“Step-on”-Funktion (Wiegevorgang) bereit.

1. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Waage auf festem und ebenem Boden
steht. Wenn Sie sich wiegen möchten, die Waage aber unmittelbar
zuvor bewegt haben, müssen Sie die Waage zunächst initialisieren.
Drücken Sie hierzu mit dem Fuß kurz die Mitte der Waagenoberä­che. Im Display erscheint «0.0». Wenn sich die Waage abgeschaltet
hat, ist sie für die «Step-on»- Funktion bereit. Wurde die Waage
vorher nicht bewegt, entfällt dieser Vorgang.

2. Steigen Sie auf die Waage und bleiben Sie ruhig stehen. Das Gerät
schaltet sich automatisch ein.

3. Ihr Gewicht wird gemessen, auf dem Display der Waage angezeigt und
gleichzeitig akustisch wiedergegeben.

4. Steigen Sie von der Waage. Die Waage schaltet sich nach ca. 10 Sekun­den automatisch aus, wenn keine weitere Bedienung vorgenommen wird.

Lo Die Batterien sind schwach und müssen ersetzt werden.
Err • Prüfen Sie, ob Sie die Batterien korrekt eingelegt haben.

• Prüfen Sie, ob die Waage frei auf einem festen und ebenen
Untergrund steht. Sie darf nicht an eine Wand oder sonstigen
Gegenstand anstoßen.

• Wiederholen Sie das Wiegen.

Prüfen Sie, ob Sie die richtige Gewichtseinheit ausgewählt haben.

O-Ld   Die Waage ist überladen.

• Entfernen Sie die Batterien, bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen.

• Verwenden Sie nie aggressive Reinigungsmittel oder starke Bürsten.

• Reinigen Sie die Standäche nach dem Gebrauch mit einem
weichen, leicht angefeuchteten Tuch. Verwenden Sie keinesfalls
scharfe Reinigungsmittel oder Alkohol.

• In das Gerät darf kein Wasser eindringen. Tauchen Sie das Gerät
nicht in Wasser. Benutzen Sie das Gerät erst wieder, wenn es völlig
trocken ist.

• Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht der direkten Sonneneinstrahlung aus,
schützen Sie es vor Schmutz und Feuchtigkeit.

• Nehmen Sie die Batterien aus dem Gerät, wenn Sie es längere Zeit
nicht benutzen möchten. Es besteht sonst die Gefahr, dass die Bat­terien auslaufen.

Dieses Gerät darf nicht zusammen mit dem Hausmüll entsorgt wer­den. Jeder Verbraucher ist verpichtet, alle elektrischen oder elek­tronischen Geräte, egal, ob sie Schadstoffe enthalten oder nicht, bei
einer Sammelstelle seiner Stadt oder im Handel abzugeben, damit
sie einer umweltschonenden Entsorgung zugeführt werden können.
Entnehmen Sie die Batterie, bevor Sie das Gerät entsorgen.

Garantie­und
Reparatur­bedingungen

Bitte wenden Sie sich im Garantiefall an Ihr Fachgeschäft oder direkt an die Service­stelle. Sollten Sie das Gerät einschicken müssen, geben Sie bitte den Defekt an und
legen eine Kopie der Kaufquittung bei.
Es gelten dabei die folgenden Garantiebedingungen:

1. Auf MEDISANA Produkte wird ab Verkaufsdatum eine Garantie für 3 Jahre
gewährt. Das Verkaufsdatum ist im Garantiefall durch Kaufquittung oder
Rechnung nachzuweisen.

2. Mängel infolge von Material- oder Fertigungsfehlern werden
innerhalb der Garantiezeit kostenlos beseitigt.

3. Durch eine Garantieleistung tritt keine Verlängerung der Garantiezeit, weder
für das Gerät noch für ausgewechselte Bauteile, ein.

4. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind:
a. alle Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Behandlung, z.B. durch

Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanweisung, entstanden sind.
b. Schäden, die auf Instandsetzung oder Eingriffe durch den Käufer oder
unbefugte Dritte zurückzuführen sind.
c. Transportschäden, die auf dem Weg vom Hersteller zum Verbraucher oder
bei der Einsendung an die Servicestelle entstanden sind.

d. Zubehörteile, die einer normalen Abnutzung unterliegen.

5. Eine Haftung für mittelbare oder unmittelbare Folgeschäden, die durch das

Gerät verursacht werden, ist auch dann ausgeschlossen, wenn der Schaden
an dem Gerät als ein Garantiefall anerkannt wird.

• Do not stand on the scale with wet feet.

• Do not stand on the scale wearing socks.

• Do not place the item on an uneven surface.

• Never step onto a corner of the scale.

• When weighing yourself, do not stand on one side or the edge
of the scale.

• Use the device only according to its intended purpose as speci-

ed in the instruction manual. The warranty will be invalidated if

the device is used for purposes other than those for which it is
intended.

• The device has been manufactured for domestic use. It is not suit­able for commercial use in hospitals or other medical institutions.

It is not ofcially calibrated.

• Do not use the appliance in a location where extreme tempera­tures or humidity may occur. Keep the scales away from liquids.

• Never place the device in direct sunlight.

• Do not use the unit in environments with high-frequent electro­magnetic radiation, as this could affect the functions of the device.

• The scales have a measurement range up to 180 kg (396 lb).
Never overload the scales, as this could lead to damages.

MEDISANA Personal scale with voice announcement PS 425 pro­vides successful results for a long time, we recommend that you read
carefully through the following notes on its use and care.

Please check rst of all that the device is complete and is not damaged

in any way. In case of doubt, do not use the appliance and contact your
supplier or your service centre.

The following parts are included:

• 1 MEDISANA Personal scale with voice announcement PS 425

The packaging can be reused or recycled. Please dispose properly of
any packaging material no longer required. If you notice any transport
damage during unpacking, please contact your supplier without delay.

• Always weigh yourself at the same time of day.

• Stand up straight and stand still.

It is possible to obtain a reliable indication of body weight development
from the results if measurements are carried out
consistently.

Before you start up your digital scale, insert the three provided 1,5V
batteries (type AAA) into the device. To do this, open the battery
compartment 1 beneath the device and insert the batteries. Make
sure the polarity is correct (as shown in the battery compartment).
Put the lid of the battery compartment back on and push it until it
clicks into place. Change the batteries when the battery change
symbol „Lo“ appears inthe display or when nothing is shown in
the display after the device is switched on.

Weighing /
„Step-on“
function

If you do not do anything else, the scale switches off after approx. 10
seconds automatically. It is now ready for the „step-on“ function.

1. Make sure the scale is placed on a rm, level surface. If you want to

weigh yourself but have moved the scale just before, you must rst

initialise the scale. To do this, shortly press your foot on the middle of
the surface of the scale. „0.0“ appears in the display. After the scale
switched off automatically, it is ready for the „step-on“ function. This
procedure is not necessary if you have not moved the scale.

2. Step onto the scale and stand still. The device switches on automatically.

3. Your weight is measured, is then displayed and announced acoustically
at the same time.

4. Step down from the scale. The scale switches off automatically after ap­prox. 10 seconds if you do not do anything else.

Lo The batteries are low and need to be replaced.
Err • Check whether the batteries have been inserted correctly.

• Check whether the correct unit of weight has been selected.

• Check whether the scales are freestanding on a solid and even

  surface. They must not be touching a wall or any other object.

• Weigh yourself again.

O-Ld   The scale is overloaded.

• Remove the batteries before cleaning the unit.

• Never use aggressive cleaning agents or stiff brushes.

• Clean the surface after use with a soft, damp cloth. Never use abra­sive cleaning agents or alcohol.

• Do not allow any water to get into the unit. Do not immerse the
device in water. Do not use the unit again until it is completely dry.

• Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight; protect it against dirt and
moisture.

• Remove the batteries from the unit if it will be unused for a longish
period. Otherwise there is a risk that the batteries might leak.

This product must not be disposed together with the domestic waste.
All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices, re­gardless of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a munici­pal or commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of in
an environmentally acceptable manner. Please remove the battery
before disposing of the equipment.

Please contact your supplier or the service centre in case of a claim under the
warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and
state what the defect is.
The following warranty terms apply:

1. The warranty period for MEDISANA products is three years from date of
purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be
proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.

2. Defects in material or workmanship will be corrected free of charge within
the warranty period.

3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the
unit or for the replacement parts.

4. The following is excluded under the warranty:
a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g.

non-observance of the user instructions.
b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or
unauthorised third parties.
c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to
the consumer or during transport to the service centre.

d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.

5. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are

excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.

• Introduisez correctement la pile en faisant attention à la polarité !

• Veillez à ce que le compartiment des piles soit parfaitement fermé

• Retirez la pile si vous n’utilisez plus l’appareil pendant 3 mois au
moins !

• Conservez les piles hors de portée des enfants !

• Ne rechargez pas les piles ! Risque d’explosion !

• Ne pas les court-circuiter ! Risque d’explosion !

• Ne pas les jeter au feu ! Risque d’explosion !

• Stockez les piles que vous n’utilisez pas dans leur emballage et
