1 Sicherheitshinweise

Bevor Sie den Netzadapter an Ihre Stromversorgung anschließen, achten Sie darauf, dass die auf dem Typenschild angegebene elektrische Spannung mit der Ihres Stromnetzes übereinstimmt.

• Schließen Sie den Netzadapter nur bei ausgeschaltetem Gerät an.

• Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von hochfrequenten elektromagnetischen Sendern.

Halten Sie das Netzkabel und das Gerät von Hitze, hei ßen Oberflächen, Feuchtigkeit und Flüssigkeiten fern. Fassen Sie den Netzstecker oder den Netzschalter niemals mit nassen bzw. feuchten Händen an oder wenn Sie im Wasser stehen.

Elektrische Spannung führende Teile des Gerätes dürfen nicht mit Flüssigkeit in Berührung kommen.

Damit Sie den gewünschten Erfolg erzielen und recht lange Freude an Ihrer MEDISANA Shiatsu- Massagesitzauflage MC 830 haben, empfehlen wir Ihnen, die nachstehenden Hinweise zum Gebrauch und zur Pflege sorgfältig zu lesen.

2.1 Lieferumfang und Verpackung

Bitte prüfen Sie zunächst, ob das Gerät vollständig ist und keinerlei Beschädigung aufweist. Im Zweifelsfalle nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und wenden Sie sich an Ihren Händler oder an Ihre Servicestelle.

Zum Lieferumfang gehören:

• 1 MEDISANA MC 830 Shiatsu-Massageauflage mit Gelkissen

• 1 Steuergerät

• 1 Gebrauchsanweisung

Verpackungen sind wiederverwendbar oder können in den Rohstoffkreislauf zurückgeführt werden. Bitte entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigtes Verpackungsmaterial ordnungsgemäß. Sollten Sie beim Auspacken einen Transportschaden bemerken, setzen Sie sich bitte sofort mit Ihrem Händler in Verbindung.

2.2 Was ist Shiatsu-Massage?

Zu den wichtigen Massagetechniken wie der manuellen Lymphdrainage und der Reflexzonenmassage gehört Shiatsu, eine Form der Fingerdruckmassage. Diese in Japan entwickelte Form der Körpertherapie ist aus der traditonellen chinesischen Massage hervorgegangen. Durch sanfte Berührungen und wohltuenden Druck wird die Lebensenergie geweckt und zum Fließen gebracht. Die MEDISANA Shiatsu-Massagesitzauflage MC 830 verfügt über vier rotierende Massageköpfe für die Shiatsu-Massage der drei Zonen “Oberer Rücken”, “Unterer Rücken” und “Gesamter Rücken”. Zusätzlich ist das Gerät mit einer 3-stufigen Vibrationsfunktion in der Sitzfläche ausgestattet. Gleichfalls zuschaltbar ist eine Wärmefunktion, die im gesamten Rückenbereich zur Wirkung kommt. 3.1 Anwenden

Die Anwendung der Shiatsu-Massagesitzauflage fördert das Wohlbefinden nach einem anstrengenden Tag. Bei der Bewältigung von Alltagsstress bietet Ihnen das Gerät zusätzlich angenehme Entspannung. Die Massagen unterstützen Sie sowohl bei Ihrem Einsatz für Wohlbefinden als auch bei Sport und Fitness. Die Massageköpfe aus hochwertigem Technogel®– made in Germany sorgen für eine sanftere und natürlichere Massage als herkömmliche Kunststoffmassageköpfe. Im Sinne der Shiatsu-Massage wird nur die Muskulatur stimuliert, Wirbelsäule und Hüftknochen werden geschont. 3.2 Betrieb

Inbetriebnahme

Platzieren Sie die Shiatsu-Massageauflage auf einem hohen Stuhl oder Sessel und befestigen Sie sie mit den Haltegurten an der Rückseite.

•

Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die Netzsteckdose. Achten Sie darauf, dass diese gut zugänglich bleibt.

•

Setzen Sie sich nun auf die Shiatsu-Massagesitzauflage und machen Sie sich mit den Funktionen des Gerätes vertraut.

Gerät bedienen

Die Shiatsu-Massagesitzauflage MC 830 hat drei Funktionen für eine gezielte Massagebehandlung, Shiatsu-Massage, Vibrationsmassage und Wärme. Die Wärmefunktion kann nur zusammen mit der Shiatsu-Massage genutzt werden, wobei auch die Vibrations-Massage zugeschaltet sein darf. Wenden Sie das Gerät in Dauer nicht länger als 15 Minuten an. Nach ca. 15 Minuten schaltet das Gerät automatisch aus. Das Gerät ist mit einem Überhitzungsschutz ausgestattet, der das Gerät bei Gefahr von Überhitzung ebenfalls automatisch ausschaltet. Lassen Sie das Gerät stets erst völlig abkühlen, bevor Sie es wieder verwenden.

Mit den Tasten am Steuergerät bedienen Sie die Massageauflage:

Schalten Sie das Gerät ein, indem Sie die Ein/Aus-Taste

drücken. Die gelbe Betriebskontroll-

LED leuchtet.

Bei Druck auf die Taste für Massage “Oberer Rücken” leuchtet die grüne LED neben der Taste, und die Shiatsu-Massageköpfe fahren aus der Parkposition, die ganz unten in der Rückenlehne liegt, bis in den Schulterbereich, wobei Sie den Rücken kreisend massieren. Ist die oberste Position erreicht, schaltet die Drehrichtung der Massageköpfe um. Danach wandern sie bis zur Rückenmitte nach unten. Dort wird wieder der Wechsel der Drehrichtung vorgenommen, die Massageköpfe fahren erneut nach oben usw.. Drücken Sie die Taste während der Massage, wird die Funktion abgeschaltet, und die Massageköpfe bleiben in der aktuellen Position stehen.

•

Bei Druck auf die Taste für Massage “Unterer Rücken”leuchtet die grüne LED neben der Taste. Die Shiatsu-Massageköpfe



bewegen sich in der unteren Rückenhälfte kreisend hoch und runter.

In den jeweiligen Endpositionen findet der Wechsel der Drehrichtung statt. Drücken Sie die Taste



während der Massage, wird die Funktion abgeschaltet, und die Massageköpfe bleiben in der

aktuellen Position stehen.

•

Bei Druck auf die Taste für Massage “Gesamter Rücken”ist der Funktionsverlauf analog, wie beim Drücken der Tasten



und , nur über den ganzen Rückenbereich.

Der Shiatsu-Massagefunktion kann jederzeit eine Vibrationsmassage im Oberschenkelbereich zugeschaltet werden, indem Sie die Taste für Vibrationsmassage drücken.

Taste für Vibrationsmassage drücken. Die Stufenanzeige LED 1 über der Taste leuchtet, und die beiden Vibrationsmassagemotoren schalten sich ein. Sie beginnen mit sanfter Massage. Drücken Sie die Taste ein zweites Mal, verstärkt sich die Vibration (mittlere Massageintensität, LED 2). Drücken Sie die Taste ein drittes Mal, wird die stärkste Vibrationsstufe (höchste Massageintensität, LED 3) eingeschaltet. Nach einem vierten Druck der Taste schaltet sich die Vibrationsmassage ab, und die LED 3 über der Taste erlischt.

•

Die Wärmefunktion kann der Shiatsu-Massage jederzeit zugeschaltet werden, wobei auch die Vibrations-Massage zusätzlich eingeschaltet sein darf. Durch Drücken der Taste für Wärme schalten Sie die Funktion ein, die rote LED leuchtet. Die Wärme wird über die senkrechte Mittelachse des gesamten Rückenbereichs abgestrahlt. Gleichzeitig wirkt Rotlicht in den Shiatsu-Massageköpfen . Durch erneutes Drücken der Taste schalten Sie die Wärmefunktion aus, die rote LED erlischt.

Ausschalten des Gerätes:

•

Drücken Sie die Ein/Aus-Taste. Die gelbe Betriebskontroll-LED beginnt zu blinken, und die Massageköpfe werden in ihre Parkposition nach unten gefahren. Wenn diese erreicht ist, erlischt die gelbe LED. Wenn Sie das Gerät mit der Ein/Aus-Tasteausschalten, während eine der Massagefunktionen eingeschaltet ist, werden lediglich die Vibrationsmotoren und die Wärmefunktion sofort gestoppt. Die Massageköpfe werden erst noch nach unten in die Parkposition gefahren. Währenddessen blinkt die gelbe LED, danach erlischt sie.

•

Schalten Sie das Gerät nach jedem Gebrauch mit der Ein/Aus-Tasteaus und ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose. Bewahren Sie das Steuergerät immer in seiner Tasche auf.

4.1 Reinigung und Pflege

• Bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen, vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet und der Netzstecker aus der Steckdose gezogen ist. Lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen.

Die Shiatsu-Massageauflage reinigen Sie nur mit einem weichen Tuch, das Sie mit einer milden Seifenlauge leicht befeuchten. Verwenden Sie keinesfalls aggressive Reinigungsmittel, starke Bürsten, Lösungsmittel oder Alkohol.

Tauchen Sie das Gerät zum Reinigen niemals in Wasser und achten Sie darauf, dass kein Wasser in das Gerät eindringt.

2.2 What is Shiatsu massage?

Shiatsu is a form of finger pressure massage and one of the most important massaging techniques along with manual lymphatic drainage and reflexology. This form of physical therapy was developed in Japan but stems from traditional Chinese massage. Gentle stroking and beneficial pressure application techniques are used to awaken life forces and encourage them to flow through the body. The object of the massage is not just to ease tension, but also to optimise the flow of life force and harmonise body and soul.

2.3 How does the MEDISANA Shiatsu massage seat cover work?

In the MEDISANA Shiatsu massage seat cover MC 830 you have a modern device for genuine Shiatsu style back massages.

The MEDISANA Shiatsu massage seat cover MC 830 has four rotating massage heads for Shiatsu massage of the three zones “Upper Back”, “Lower Back” and “Full Back”. The device is equipped with an additional 3-level vibration function in the seat and a heat function which works on the entire back area. The unique combination of intensive shiatsu and vibration massage with radiated heat makes the massage seat cover an effective and relaxing treatment. Their settings can be comfortably adjusted by means of the easy-to-handle control unit .

3 Operating

3.1 Usage

The use of the Shiatsu massage seat cover will improve your wellbeing after a stressful day. The massage effect is particularly useful for treating tense muscles and tired tissue. The unit provides pleasant relaxation for overcoming everyday stress. The massaging can improve your well-being, and is also useful in the sport and fitness areas. Massage heads made of high-quality Technogel®– made in Germany provide a gentler and more natural massage than conventional synthetic massage heads. In accordance with the principals of Shiatsu massage only the muscles are stimulated, the spine and hip bones are spared. For this reason the overall effect of the application is distinctly more be beneficial and relaxing

3.2 Operation

Start-up

• Place the

on a high chair or armchair and attach it to this by means of the

Ensure that the seat cover is supported over its entire area and has a

sufficiently high backrest.

Insert plug into the mains socket. Ensure that the power supply is easily accessible.

•

Take a seat on the Shiatsu massage seat cover and familiarise yourself with the functions.

Operating the unit

The MC 830 shiatsu seat cover has three functions for an effective massage: Shiatsu massage, vibration massage and heat. The heat function can only be used together with the shiatsu massage, during which the vibration massage can also be activated. Do not use the unit for more than 15 minutes at a time. After approx. 15 minutes, the unit will switch off automatically. Always allow the unit to cool down fully before you use it again.

Use the buttons on control pad to operate the massage seat cover:

Switch on the device by pressing On/Off button



. The yellow power LED illuminates.

•

When the “Upper Back” massage button is pressed, the green LED next to the button illuminates and the Shiatsu massage heads move from the “Park” position at the base of the backrest, up to the shoulder area, massaging the back in a circular motion whilst doing so. Once the uppermost position has been reached, the direction of rotation of the massaging heads is reversed. The heads then travel down to the centre of the back. Once the heads reach this point, the direction of rotation is reversed again and then travel up the back again. If you press button during the massage, this function is switched off and the massage heads remain stationary in their current position.

•

If you press the “Lower Back” massage button, the green LED next to the button illuminates. The Shiatsu massage heads travel up and down the lower half of the back in a circular motion. The reversal of the direction of rotation takes place when the respective end positions are reached. Pressing button during the massage, switches off this function and the massage heads remain stationary in their current position.

•

If you press the “Full Back” massage buttonthe function procedure is similar to pressing buttons



and , except that it is for the entire back.

•

You can enhance the shiatsu massage at any time with a vibration massage for your thighs by pressing the vibration massage button .

• The

vibration massage in the upper thigh area can be operated separately by pressing vibration

massage button



. The LED 1 right on top of the button illuminates and both vibration massage motors are switched on. They begin with a gentle massage. Press button again and the vibration level increases (medium intensity massage, LED 2). Press button



a third time and the

vibration level increases (highest intensity massage, LED 3). After button

is pressed a fourth time,

the vibration massage is switched off and the LED 3 above the button extinguishes.

The heat function can be activated at any time with the shiatsu massage, during which the vibration massage can also be activated. Press the heat button to activate the function; the red LED lights up. The heat is radiated across the vertical central axis of the entire back area. At the same time infrared light is at work in the Shiatsu massage cushion . Press the button again to deactivate the heat function; the red LED extinguishes.

Switch off the device

•

Press the On/Off button. The yellow power LED begins to flash and the massage heads travel back down to the “Park” position. When this position is reached, the yellow LED extinguishes. If you press the On/Off buttonwhen one of the massage functions is switched on, the vibration motors and the heat function just stop immediately. First the massage heads travel downwards to the “Park” position. The yellow LED flashes meanwhile and then extinguishes.

•

After each use, switch the device off using the On/Off switchand remove the plug from the mains socket. Always store control pad in its bag .

4.1 Cleaning and maintenance

• Before cleaning the device, make sure that it is turned off and the mains plug is removed from the socket. Allow the unit to cool down.

•

Only clean the Shiatsu massage seat cover with a soft cloth slightly dampened with a mild detergent (e.g. soap suds). Under no circumstances should you use aggressive detergents, strong brushes, solvents or alcohol.

•

When cleaning, never immerse the unit in water and make sure that no water gets into the unit.

• Wait until the device is completely dry before using it again.

• Undo any kinks in the cable.

• You should ideally store the device in its original packaging and keep it in a clean, dry place.

4.2 Disposal

This product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste. All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices, regardless of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a municipal or commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner. Consult your municipal authority or your supplier for information about disposal.

Warranty and repair terms

Please contact your supplier or the service centre in case of a claim under the warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and state what the defect is.

The following warranty terms apply:

1. The warranty period for MEDISANA products is three years from date of purchase. In case of a

warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.

2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge within the warranty period.

Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or for the replacement parts.

4. The following is excluded under the warranty:

All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non- observance of the user instructions.

b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorised third parties. c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to the consumer or during

transport to the service centre.

d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.

Avant de brancher l’appareil sur votre alimentation en courant, veillez à ce qu’il soit éteint et à ce que la tension électrique indiquée sur la plaquette signalétique corresponde à celle de votre réseau électrique.

Branchez l’adaptateur uniquement lorsque l’appareil est à l’arrêt.

N’utilisez pas l’appareil à proximité d’émetteurs électromagnétiques à haute fréquence.

Maintenez le câble d’alimentation et l’appareil loin de toute source de chaleur, surface chaude, source d’humidité et de tout liquide. Ne touchez jamais à la fiche secteur ou à l’interrupteur d’alimentation avec des mains mouillées ou humides ou lorsque vous êtes dans l’eau.

escomptés et de profiter longtemps de votre matelas de massage Shiatsu MC 830 MEDISANA, nous vous recommandons de lire attentivement les instructions suivantes relatives à l’utilisation et à l’entretien.

2.1 Éléments fournis et emballage

Veuillez vérifier si l'appareil est au complet et ne présente aucun dommage. En cas de doute, ne faites pas fonctionner l’appareil et adressez-vous à votre revendeur ou à un point de service après-vente.

Les emballages sont réutilisables ou peuvent être recyclés afin de récupérer les matières premières. 2.2 Qu’est-ce que le massage shiatsu ?

Le shiatsu, une des grandes techniques de massage comme le drainage lymphatique et la réflexologie, utilise la pression des doigts. Cette forme de thérapie développée au Japon provient de la médecine traditionnelle chinoise. Des contacts doux et des pressions bénéfiques réveillent et libèrent les flux d’énergie vitale. L’objectif du massage est d’éliminer les contractions ainsi que d’harmoniser le corps et l’esprit par l’harmonisation des flux d’énergie vitale.

2.3 Comment fonctionne le matelas de massage Shiatsu de MEDISANA ?

Le matelas MEDISANA MC 830 est un appareil moderne de massage shiatsu du dos. Le matelas MEDISANA MC 830 comprend quatre têtes rotatives de massage pour trois zones : « Dos supérieur », « Dos inférieur » et « Dos intégral ».
