Wenn Sie das Gerät an Dritte weitergeben, geben

• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur entsprechend seiner Bestim­mung laut Gebrauchsanweisung.

• Bei Zweckentfremdung erlischt der Garantieanspruch.

• Benutzen Sie die Infrarotleuchte nur mit der dafür be­stimmten Infrarotlampe.

• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn das Gerät nicht ein­wandfrei funktioniert, wenn es herunter- oder ins
Wasser gefallen ist oder beschädigt wurde.

• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Kabel oder Stecker
beschädigt sind.

• Halten Sie Gerät und Kabel von heißen Oberflächen
fern. Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von
Wärmequellen auf.

• Im Falle von Störungen reparieren Sie das Gerät nicht
selbst, da dadurch jeglicher Garantieanspruch erlischt.
Lassen Sie Reparaturen nur von der autorisierten Service­stelle durch führen.

• Das Gerät ist nur für den privaten Haushalt und nicht für
den kommerziellen Gebrauch bestimmt.

• Überprüfen Sie die Anschlussleitung vor jeder Inbetrieb­nahme auf Beschädigungen. Sie darf die heiße Glüh­lampe nicht berühren.

• Bevor Sie das Gerät an Ihre Stromversorgung anschlie­ßen, achten Sie darauf, dass die auf dem Typenschild
angegebene Netzspannung mit der Ihres Stromnetzes
übereinstimmt.

• Stellen Sie das Gerät zum Gebrauch auf eine feste und
ebene Fläche, so dass es nicht kippen kann. Hängen Sie
es nicht an die Wand oder Decke.

• Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht unbeobachtet, während es
angeschaltet ist.

• Entfernen Sie feuergefährliche Gegenstände aus dem
Wirkungsbereich der Infrarotlampe, wie z. B. Textilien,
Brillen oder Kämme.

• Halten Sie mit der Infrarotlampe einen Mindestabstand
von 80 cm zu brennbaren Gegenständen.

• Betreiben Sie das Gerät nur, wenn es völlig trocken ist.

• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht im Freien oder in feuch­ten Räumen.

• Das Gerät darf nicht in unmittelbarer Nähe einer
Badewanne oder Dusche, über einem gefüllten Wasch­becken oder mit nassen Händen betrieben werden.

• Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit.

• Tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht in Wasser oder andere
Flüssigkeiten.

• Tragen, ziehen oder drehen Sie das Gerät nie am Netz­kabel und klemmen Sie das Kabel nicht ein.

• Das Gerät darf im erwärmten Zustand nicht ab- oder
zugedeckt werden.

• Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Stößen und Erschütterungen.

• Vorsicht, Verbrennungsgefahr!

- Die Lampe wird heiß.

- Berühren Sie die Infrarotlampe nicht und drehen Sie

sie nicht aus der Fassung, wenn das Netzkabel einge­steckt ist.

- Ziehen Sie stets den Netzstecker und lassen Sie die

Leuchte abkühlen, bevor Sie sie berühren.

• Schalten Sie das Gerät nach jedem Gebrauch, vor jeder
Reinigung und Pflege und bei Störungen während des
Betriebes aus, indem Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose
ziehen.

• Lassen Sie die Infrarotleuchte abkühlen, bevor Sie sie zur
Aufbewahrung verstauen.

• Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch Personen
(einschließlich Kinder) mit eingeschränkten physischen,
sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten oder mangeln­der Erfahrung und/oder mangelndem Wissen benutzt zu
werden, es sei denn, sie werden durch eine für ihre
Sicherheit zuständige Person beaufsichtigt oder erhiel­ten von ihr Anweisungen, wie das Gerät zu benutzen ist.

• Kinder müssen beaufsichtigt werden, um sicherzustel­len, dass sie nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.

• Therapien mit der MEDISANA Infrarotleuchte IRH
ersetzen keine ärztliche Diagnose oder Behandlung.

• Eine Behandlung nach Verletzungen bzw. Operationen
darf nur unter Aufsicht und Anleitung durch einen Arzt
erfolgen.

• Schmerzstillende und beruhigende Mittel verringern das
Schmerz- und Wärmeempfinden der Haut; das gleiche
gilt nach Einnahme von Alkohol. Fragen Sie vor der
Anwendung Ihren Arzt.

• Personen, deren Empfindsamkeit gestört oder beein­trächtigt ist, dürfen das Gerät nur nach Anweisung eines
Arztes anwenden.

• Das Gerät ist für wärmeunempfindliche Personen nicht
geeignet.

• Behandeln Sie keine Körperpartien, die Schwellungen,
Verbrennungen, Entzündungen, Hautausschläge, Wun­den oder empfindliche Stellen aufweisen.

• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn die Haut brennt
oder taub ist.

• Treten Hautirritationen auf, brechen Sie die Behandlung
ab und suchen Sie den Arzt auf.

• Im Zweifelsfall ziehen Sie immer einen Arzt zu Rate und
folgen seinen Therapieanweisungen.

• Der Abstand zur Leuchte sollte keinesfalls 40 cm unter­schreiten, sonst wird die Bestrahlungsintensität zu hoch
und die Wärme als schmerzhaft empfunden.

• Schließen Sie bei der Bestrahlung des Gesichtes stets die
Augen, um Verletzungen der Netzhaut zu vermeiden;
blicken Sie nicht direkt in das Infrarotlicht. Die Augen kön­nen auch mit einem Wattebausch abgedeckt werden.

• Die maximale Bestrahlungsdauer von 15 Minuten darf
nicht überschritten werden.

• Die Behandlung sollte angenehm sein. Spüren Sie
Schmerzen oder empfinden Sie die Anwendung als un­angenehm, brechen Sie ab und halten Sie Rücksprache
mit Ihrem Arzt.

Bitte prüfen Sie zunächst, ob das Gerät vollständig ist und
keinerlei Beschädigung aufweist. Im Zweifelsfalle nehmen
Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und wenden Sie sich an
Ihren Händler oder an Ihre Servicestelle.
Zum Lieferumfang gehören:

• 1 Gebrauchsanweisung

Sollten Sie beim Auspacken einen Transportschaden
bemerken, setzen Sie sich sofort mit Ihrem Händler in
Verbindung.

Achten Sie darauf, dass die Verpackungsfolien nicht
in die Hände von Kindern gelangen!
Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr!

Wie wirkt Infrarotstrahlung?

Wärme fördert die Durchblutung und unterstützt damit
den Heilungsprozess. Die Infrarotleuchte erzeugt eine
intensive Strahlung, die als Licht an den zu behandelnden
Körperbereich geführt wird. Diese Lichtstrahlung hat die
Eigenschaft, bis in die tieferen Hautschichten einzudrin­gen. In Gewebe und Muskeln wird die Strahlung in inten­sive und hochwirksame Wärme umgesetzt. Durch die so
erzeugte Wärme erweitern sich die Gefäße, die Durch­blutung wird gefördert und Blutkreislauf sowie Stoff­wechsel werden angeregt. Außerdem erweitern sich die
Poren der Haut. Deshalb ist Infrarotstrahlung sowohl für
eine therapeutische als auch kosmetische Behandlung
geeignet. Durch die Anregung des Stoffwechsels werden
die körpereigenen Abwehrkräfte gestärkt und die
Heilungsprozesse beschleunigt.

Therapeutische Behandlung

Die MEDISANA Infrarotleuchte IRH unterstützt die häus-
liche Therapie und kann medizinische Maßnahmen des
Arztes begleiten, z.B. bei:

• Erkältungen (Bei Fieber ist in jedem Fall der Arzt zu

konsultieren.)

• Verspannungen

• Verkrampfungen

• Muskelschmerzen

• rheumatischen Beschwerden

• der Behandlung von Hals-Nasen-Ohren-Erkrankungen

Kosmetische Behandlung

Die MEDISANA Infrarotleuchte IRH eignet sich z.B. zur
Unterstützung der Gesichts- und Schönheitspflege, insbe­sondere bei unreiner Haut. Entfernen Sie unbedingt
gründlich das Make-up vor einer Behandlung. Durch die
Wirkung der Infrarotstrahlung öffnen sich die Poren der
Haut. Eine bessere und wirksamere Tiefenreinigung der
Haut ist die Folge. Cremes und andere kosmetische
Wirkstoffe werden von der Haut intensiver und schneller
aufgenommen.
Bei Beachtung aller Sicherheitshinweise dieser Gebrauchs­anweisung sind für die hier genannten Behandlungen
keine Nebenwirkungen bekannt. Sollte nach mehrmaliger
Behandlung keine Besserung eintreten, setzen Sie sich mit
Ihrem Arzt in Verbindung. In allen anderen nicht genann­ten Fällen ist eine Therapie mit Infrarotstrahlung nur nach
Rücksprache mit dem Arzt durchzuführen.

• Beachten Sie die Sicherheitshinweise.

• Überprüfen Sie die Anschlussleitung

• Stellen Sie das Gerät mit dem Leuchtenfuß
festen und ebenen Untergrund.

• Die Infrarotlampe

• Das Gerät hat ein verstellbares Leuchtengehäuse

Um Verbrennungen zu vermeiden, fassen Sie die
Leuchte nur am Fuß an, wenn Sie die Position ver­ändern möchten.

• Schließen Sie den Netzstecker an, und das Gerät beginnt
sofort mit der Bestrahlung.

• Die Bestrahlungswirkung ist bei kurzem Bestrahlungs­abstand am größten. Wählen Sie ihn jedoch so, dass Sie
die Wärme als angenehm empfinden, mindestens aber
40 cm Abstand einhalten. Vergrößern Sie den Abstand,
wenn Sie die Wärme als unangenehm empfinden.

• Die Anwendungsdauer richtet sich nach Ihrer Empfind­lichkeit, maximal 15 Minuten.

• Ziehen Sie nach Ablauf der Bestrahlungszeit den Netz­stecker.

Reinigung und Pflege

• Vor jeder Reinigung und beim Auswechseln der Infrarot­lampe ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose und
lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen.

• Reinigen Sie das abgekühlte Gerät,
einem angefeuchteten Tuch und reiben Sie es anschlie­ßend trocken.

• Benutzen Sie keine aggressiven Reinigungs- oder
Scheuermittel.

• Tauchen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in Wasser.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass kein Wasser in das Geräteinnere
gelangt. Benutzen Sie das Gerät erst wieder, wenn es
vollständig trocken ist.

• Beachten Sie, dass als Ersatz nur Infrarotlampen des
gleichen Typs verwendet werden dürfen.

• Lagern Sie das Gerät an einem trockenen, kühlen Platz.

Infrarotlampe

Es darf keine Lampe mit höherer Leistung eingeschraubt
werden, als auf dem Typenschild angegeben ist. Ersatz­lampen können dort, wo das Gerät erworben wurde,
gekauft oder beim Hersteller direkt bestellt werden (Typ
angeben!).
Folgende Ersatzlampe muss verwendet werden:
Philips Infrared R 95E 100 W
Bei Glasbruch der Glühlampe ist sofort der Netzstecker
zu ziehen. Vorsicht! Verletzungsgefahr durch Glas-
splitter! Das Gerät abkühlen lassen. Den in der Fassung
eingeschraubten Teil der Glühlampe vorsichtig mit einer
Zange entfernen (Augen schützen) oder Gerät in eine
Fachwerkstatt zur Reparatur geben.
Die Glühlampe ist nicht Bestandteil der Garantie, es
besteht kein Anspruch auf kostenlosen Ersatz.

Garantie/Reparaturbedingungen

Bitte wenden Sie sich im Garantiefall an Ihr Fachgeschäft
oder direkt an die Servicestelle. Sollten Sie das Gerät ein­schicken müssen, geben Sie bitte den Defekt an und legen
eine Kopie der Kaufquittung bei.

Es gelten dabei die folgenden Garantiebedingungen:

1. Auf MEDISANA Produkte wird ab Verkaufsdatum eine

Garantie für drei Jahre gewährt. Das Verkaufsdatum ist
im Garantiefall durch die Kaufquittung oder Rechnung
nachzuweisen.

2. Mängel infolge von Material- oder Fertigungsfehlern

werden innerhalb der Garantiezeit kostenlos beseitigt.

3. Durch eine Garantieleistung tritt keine Verlängerung

der Garantiezeit, weder für das Gerät noch für ausge­wechselte Bauteile, ein.

4. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind:

a. alle Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Behandlung,

z.B. durch Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanweisung,
entstanden sind.

b. Schäden, die auf Instandsetzung oder Eingriffe

durch den Käufer oder unbefugte Dritte zurückzu­führen sind.

c. Transportschäden, die auf dem Weg vom Hersteller

zum Verbraucher oder bei der Einsendung an die
Servicestelle entstanden sind.

d. Zubehörteile, die einer normalen Abnutzung unter-

5. Eine Haftung für mittelbare oder unmittelbare Folge-

schäden, die durch das Gerät verursacht werden, ist
auch dann ausgeschlossen, wenn der Schaden an dem

Read the instruction manual carefully
before using this device, especially

Should you give this device to another person,
it is vital that you also pass on these instructions
for use.

• Use the device only according to its intended purpose as
specified in the instruction manual.

• The warranty will be invalidated if the device is used for
purposes other than those for which it is intended.

• Only use the infrared bulb with the infrared lamp for
which it is intended.

• Do not use the device if it is not working correctly, if it
has been dropped or has fallen into water or has been
damaged.

• Do not use the device if the cable or plug are damaged.

• Keep the device and cable well away from hot surfaces.
Do not place the device near sources of heat.

• Do not attempt to repair the device yourself in the event
of a malfunction since this will invalidate the warranty.
Repairs should only be carried out by authorised service
centres.

• The device is designed for private households only and
not for commercial use.

• Before using make sure that the connecting cable is not
damaged. It must not come into contact with the hot
electric light bulb.

• Before connecting the device to your power supply,
please ensure that the supply voltage stated on the
rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.

• Place device on a firm, level surface during use so that it
cannot tip over. Do not attach device to walls or ceilings.

• Do not leave the device unattended when it is switched
on.

• Keep flammable objects such as textiles, glasses and
combs away from the infra-red lamp.

• Keep the infra-red lamp at least 80 cm away from
flammable objects.

• Do not use the device unless it is completely dry.

• Do not use the device outdoors or in damp rooms.

• The device must not be used in the immediate vicinity of
bathtubs, showers or washbasins filled with water, and
must not be used with wet hands.

• Protect the device from moisture.

• Do not immerse the device in water or other fluids.

• Never carry, pull or rotate the unit by the mains cable
and never pinch the cable between other objects.

• Do not cover the device when it is warm.

• Protect the device from shocks and vibration.

• Attention, scalding danger!

- The bulb becomes hot.

- Do not touch the infra-red bulb and do not remove
with the power cord plugged in.

- Always disconnect the device from the power supply
and allow the lamp to cool before touching it.

• Always switch the device off after use, before cleaning
and care and in the event of malfunctions during opera­tion by disconnecting the plug from the socket.

• Allow the infra-red lamp to cool before putting it away.

• This device is not designed to be used by persons (inclu­ding children) with limited physical, sensory or mental
abilities, or by persons with insufficient experience
and/or knowledge, unless under observation by a person
responsible for their safety, or unless they have been
instructed in the use of the device.

• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the device.

• Treatment with the MEDISANA infrared lamp IRH can­not replace diagnoses and treatment by a physician.

• Treatment after injuries or operations may only be given
under the supervision and guidance of a doctor.

• Pain-killers and relaxants reduce the sensitivity of the
skin to pain and heat; the same applies to the con­sumption of alcohol. Consult your doctor before using
the device.

• Persons, whose sensitivity is disturbed or impaired may
only apply the device according to the instructions of a
physician.

• This device is unsuitable for persons who are insensitive
to heat.

• Do not treat any parts of the body that have swellings,
burns, inflammation, peeling skin, wounds or other sen­sitive points.

• Do not use the device on skin that feels painful or numb.

• If the skin becomes irritated, discontinue the treatment
and consult a physician.

• Always seek the advice of a doctor in case of doubt and
follow his instructions for treatment.

• The distance to the lamp must be at least 40 cm to avoid
that the intensity of radiation gets too high and the
warmth is felt as painful.

• Always close your eyes during radiation in order to
prevent retinal injuries; do not look directly into the
infra-red light. You can also cover your eyes with a swab.

• Avoid using the lamp for long periods, since this can
result in burning.

• Do not exceed the maximum radiation time of 15
minutes.

• The treatment should be pleasant. Stop at once and
consult your doctor if you feel pain or if the treatment
seems unpleasant.

Scope of supply

Please check first of all that the device is complete and is
not damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use the

If you notice any transport damage during unpacking,
please contact your dealer without delay.

How does infra-red radiation
work?

Heat promotes blood circulation and supports the healing
process. The infra-red lamp generates intensive radiation
that is led to the part of the body that is being treated in
the form of light. This light beam has the property of
penetrating down to the deepest skin layers. The radiation
is then converted into intensive, extremely effective heat in
the tissue and muscles. The heat that is generated in this
way expands the vessels, encourages blood circulation and
stimulates the circulation and metabolism. The pores in
the skin also expand. Infra-red radiation is therefore
suitable for both therapeutic and cosmetic treatment. The
stimulation of the metabolism reinforces the body’s
internal defences and accelerates healing processes.

Therapeutic treatment

The MEDISANA infra-red lamp IRH supports domestic
therapy and can accompany medical treatment given by a
doctor, such as:

• Colds (Consult a doctor if you have a high temperature.)

• Tension

• Cramp

• Muscular pain

• Rheumatic complaints

• Treatment of ear, nose and throat complaints

Cosmetic treatment

The MEDISANA infra-red lamp IRH is suitable for assis-
ting facial and beauty care, particularly in the case of bad

Cleaning and maintenance

• Before cleaning and replacing the bulb of the infrared
lamp, unplug the equipment from the mains and allow
the device to cool.

• Clean the device after cooling,
cloth and then rub dry.

• Do not use aggressive cleaning and scouring materials.

• Never immerse the device in water.

• Please ensure that water does not penetrate the inter­nals of the device. Do not use the device again until it is
completely dry.

• Always replace the bulb of the infra-red lamp with the
same bulb type.

• Store the device in a dry, cool place.

Infra-red light bulbs

It must not be used one with a higher power as indicated
on the rating plate. Replacements for the light bulb can be
bought where the appliance has been bought or ordered
directly from the producer (indicate model!).
The following replacement for the light bulb has to be
used: Philips Infrared R 95E 100 W
In case the glass of the light bulb is broken immediately
disconnect the appliance. Attention! Injuring danger
due to splinters of glass. Let the appliance cool down.
Carefully remove the part of the light bulb which is
screwed in the socket with a pair of pincers (protect your
eyes) or have the appliance repaired by a service agent.
The light bulb is not part of the guarantee, it won’t be
replaced free of charge.

1. The warranty period for MEDISANA products is three

years from date of purchase. In case of a warranty
claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means
of the sales receipt or invoice.

2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed

free of charge within the warranty period.

3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty

period either for the unit or for the replacement parts.

4. The following is excluded under the warranty:

• Cet appareil n’est pas destiné aux personnes (y compris
les enfants) à capacités physiques, sensorielles ou
mentales réduites ou dépourvues d’expérience et/ou de
connaissances, sauf si elles sont surveillées par une
personne responsable de leur sécurité ou ont été in­struites de l’utilisation de l’appareil.

• Les enfants doivent être surveillés en s’assurant qu’ils ne
jouent pas avec l’appareil.

• Les thérapies avec la lampe à infrarouge MEDISANA
IRH ne sauraient en aucun cas remplacer le diagnostic et
le traitement médical.

• Après une blessure ou une intervention chirurgicale, le
traitement ne doit être effectué que sous la surveillance
et la direction d’un médecin.

• Les analgésiques et antalgiques atténuent la perception
de la douleur et de la chaleur au niveau de la peau ; c’est
vrai également de l’absorption d’alcool. Avant d’utiliser
l’appareil, demandez conseil à votre médecin.

• Les personnes souffrant de troubles sensoriels doivent
uniquement utiliser cet appareil conformément aux
instructions d'un médecin.

• L’appareil n’est pas destiné aux personnes ayant des
troubles de perception de la chaleur.

• Ne traitez aucune partie du corps présentant un gonfle­ment, une brûlure, une inflammation, des éruptions
cutanées, une blessure ou un endroit sensible.

• N’utilisez pas l’appareil en cas de brûlure cutanée ou si
la peau est insensible.

• Si la peau est irritée, interrompez le traitement et con­sultez votre médecin.

• En cas de doute, demandez toujours conseil à un méde­cin et suivez ses indications thérapeutiques.

• Afin d’éviter que l’intensité du rayonnement et la
chaleur soient ressentis comme trop forte ou trop dou­loureuse il faut impérativement respecter une distance
minimale avec la lampe de 40 cm.

• En cas d’utilisation sur le visage, fermez toujours les yeux
pour éviter toute lésion de la rétine ; ne regardez pas
directement la source à infra rouge. Les yeux peuvent
aussi être couverts d’un coton.

• Évitez les applications prolongées pour prévenir les
brûlures cutanées.

• Ne dépassez pas une durée maximale de 15 minutes
pour les traitements.

• Le traitement doit être agréable. Si vous ressentez des
douleurs ou bien si l'application est ressentie douloureu­sement, il convient d'interrompre et de prendre conseil
auprès de votre médecin.

Comment agissent les rayons
infra rouges ?

La chaleur favorise la circulation sanguine et améliore
ainsi la guérison. La lampe à infra rouge crée un rayonne­ment intensif qui est appliqué sous forme de lumière sur
la partie du corps à soigner. Ce rayonnement lumineux a
la propriété de pénétrer dans les couches inférieures de la
peau. Le rayonnement est transformé dans les tissus et les
muscles en une chaleur intense et extrêmement efficace.
La chaleur ainsi générée a pour effet d’élargir les vais­seaux, de stimuler l’irrigation et la circulation sanguine,
ainsi que le métabolisme. Les pores de la peau se dilatent.
Les rayonnements infra rouges peuvent donc être utilisés
aussi bien dans un but thérapeutique que cosmétique. La
stimulation du métabolisme renforce les défenses immuni­taires de l’organisme et accélère la guérison.

Traitement thérapeutique

La lampe à infra rouge MEDISANA IRH accompagne les
traitements thérapeutiques effectués à la maison et peut
être utilisée en marge de mesures indiquées par le méde­cin, par exemple en cas de :

• rhume (si vous avez de la fièvre consultez impérative-

ment un médecin) • tensions • crispations • douleurs
musculaires • problèmes rhumatismaux • traitement
d’affections ORL

Traitement cosmétique

La lampe à infra rouge MEDISANA IRH est par exemple
indiquée pour accompagner les soins du visage et cosmé­tiques, en particulier pour les personnes qui ont des pro­blèmes de peau. Éliminez impérativement tout reste de
maquillage avant de commencer le traitement. Le rayon­nement à infra rouge a pour effet de dilater les pores.
Cela permet un nettoyage plus efficace et plus en profon­deur de la peau. Les crèmes et autres produits cosméti­ques sont absorbés par la peau de manière plus intense et
plus rapide. Si vous respectez toutes les instructions de
sécurité énoncées dans ce mode d’emploi, aucun effet
secondaire n’est connu pour les traitements mentionnés
ici. Si vous ne notez aucune amélioration après un traite­ment répété, veuillez contacter votre médecin. Si votre cas
n’est pas mentionné dans ce mode d’emploi, il est néces­saire de consulter un médecin avant d’entreprendre un
traitement thérapeutique à infra rouge.

Fonctionnement

• Respectez les instructions de sécurité.

• Vérifiez l’état de la ligne d’alimentation

• Placez le pied
solide.

• La lampe à infra rouge

• L’appareil possède un boîtier réglable
de 0 ° à 45 ° permettent un positionnement personna­lisé selon les besoins.

•

Pour éviter tout risque de brûlure, ne manipulez la
lampe que par son pied lorsque vous souhaitez modi­fier sa position.

• Branchez la fiche d’alimentation : l’appareil commence
aussitôt à émettre des rayons infra rouges.

• Plus la distance de rayonnement est réduite, plus l’effet
est grand. Choisissez l’écart de manière à ce que la
chaleur soit agréable, en respectant une distance mini­male de 40 cm. Augmentez la distance si la chaleur est
désagréable.

• La durée d’utilisation varie selon votre sensibilité et ne
doit pas dépasser 15 minutes.

• À la fin de la séance, débranchez la fiche d’alimentation.

Ne dépassez en aucun cas une durée maximale de
15 minutes au cas où vous effectuez 2 traitements
par jour. Le rayon-nement infra rouge émis par
l’appareil n’est pas destiné au bronzage.

Nettoyage et entretien

• Avant chaque nettoyage et remplacement de la lampe
à infra rouge, débranchez la fiche d’alimentation de la
prise de courant et laissez l’appareil refroidir.

• Une fois que l’appareil a refroidi, nettoyez-le (
avec un chiffon humidifié, puis séchez-le en frottant.

• N’utilisez pas de produits de nettoyage ou détergents
agressifs.

• Ne plongez jamais l’appareil dans l’eau.

• Faites attention à ce qu’il n’y ait pas d’eau qui pénètre
dans l’appareil. Attendez que l’appareil soit complète­ment sec pour le réutiliser.

• Nous attirons votre attention sur le fait que seules des
lampes à infra rouge du même modèle doivent être
utilisées en remplacement.

• Rangez l’appareil dans un endroit sec et frais.

Lampe à incandescence à infra rouge

Il ne faut pas utiliser une lampe plus puissante. Vous pou­vez vous procurer les lampes chez votre revendeur ou chez
le fabricant en indiquant bien la référence de la lampe.
Utiliser la lampe suivante: Philips Infrared R 95E 100 W
En cas de bris du verre de la lampe à incandescence
débrancher immédiatement l’appareil. Attention ! Risque
de blessures par éclats de verre. Laisser l’appareil re­froidir. Eloigner prudemment avec une pince la partie de
la lampe à incandescence qui est vissée sur la douille (bien
se protéger les yeux) ou laisser réparer l’appareil par un
atelier spécialisé.
L’ampoule ne faisant pas partie de la garantie, elle ne sera
pas remplacée gratuitement.

1. Une garantie de trois ans à compter de la date d’achat

qualsiasi operazione di pulizia e manutenzione e in caso
di guasti durante il funzionamento, estraendo la spina
dalla presa.

• Prima di riporre la lampada a infrarossi, farla raffred­dare.

• Questo apparecchio non deve essere mai maneggiato da
bambini, né utilizzato da persone con discapacità fisiche,
sensoriali o intellettive o con esperienza insufficiente e/o
carenza di competenze sempre che, per la loro incolu­mità, non vengano assistiti da una persona competente
o non vengano adeguatamente istruiti su come impie­gare l’apparecchio.

• Assicurarsi e controllare che i bambini non giochino con
l’apparecchio.

• La terapia con la lampada a raggi infrarossi IRH di
MEDISANA non sostituisce diagnosi o terapie mediche.

• I trattamenti dopo infortuni o operazioni possono esse­re effettuati solo sotto la supervisione e le indicazioni
di un medico.

• Gli antidolorifici e i sedativi, nonché l'assunzione di
alcool diminuiscono la sensibilità al dolore e al calore
della pelle. Pertanto, consultare il medico prima dell'uti­lizzo dell'apparecchio.

• Le persone con sensibilità anomala o ridotta possono
utilizzare l'apparecchio solo su prescrizione medica.

• L'apparecchio non è adatto alle persone prive di sensi­bilità termica.

• Non trattate parti del corpo che presentano gonfiori,
ustioni, irritazioni, eruzioni cutanee, ferite o punti sen­sibili.

• Non utilizzare l'apparecchio quando la pelle scotta o è

Come agisce l'irradiazione a
infrarossi?

Il calore stimola l'irrorazione sanguigna agevolando la
guarigione. La lampada a infrarossi genera un'irradiazione
intensa che raggiunge le parti del corpo da trattare sotto
forma di luce. Le radiazioni luminose hanno la caratteristi­ca di penetrare negli strati più profondi della pelle. Nei
tessuti e nei muscoli, la radiazione viene trasformata in
calore intenso e altamente efficace. Grazie al calore così
generato, i vasi si dilatano e il flusso sanguigno, nonché la
circolazione e il metabolismo vengono stimolati. Inoltre, i
pori della pelle si dilatano. Per questo, l'irradiazione a
infrasossi è indicata per trattamenti sia terapeutici che cos­metici. Grazie alla stimolazione del metabolismo vengono
rinforzate le difese dell'organismo e accelerati i processi di
guarigione.

Trattamento terapeutico

La lampada a raggi infrarossi MEDISANA IRH coadiuva la
terapia domestica e può essere utilizzata in concomitanza
di prescrizioni farmacologiche del medico, ad esempio in
caso di:

• Malattie da raffreddamento (in caso di febbre
consultare sempre un medico)

• Contratture

• Crampi

• Dolori muscolari

• Disturbi reumatici

• Trattamento di affezioni dell'orecchio, del naso e della gola

Trattamento cosmetico

La lampada a raggi infrarossi MEDISANA IRH è idonea
per cure estetiche o del viso, in particolare in caso di pelle
impura. Prima del trattamento struccare accuratamente il
viso. Grazie all'azione della radiazione a infrarossi, i pori
della pelle di dilatano.Il risultato è una pulizia più profon­da ed efficace della pelle. Le creme e altri principi attivi
cosme-tici vengono assorbiti dalla pelle in modo più inten­so e rapido.
Non sono noti effetti collaterali dei trattamenti qui ripor­tati, purché vengano osservate tutte le norme di sicurezza
contenute nelle presenti istruzioni per l'uso. Se non si
riscontrano miglioramenti dopo ripetuti trattamenti, con­sultare il proprio medico. In tutti gli altri casi non riportati,
la terapia con irradiazione a infrarossi può essere effet­tuata solo dietro consiglio del medico.

Funzionamento

Non deve essere superata la durata max di
irradiazione di 15 minuti al giorno per applicazione.
L'irradiazione a infrarossi dell'apparecchio non
è adatta per abbronzarsi.

Pulizia e manutenzione

• Prima di ogni operazione di pulizia e in caso di sosti­tuzione della lampada a infrarossi, disinserire la spina di
alimentazione dalla presa e lasciare raffreddare l'appa­recchio.

• Pulire l'apparecchio raffreddato,
umido e successivamente asciugarlo.

• Non utilizzare detergenti o abrasivi aggressivi.

• Non immergere mai l'apparecchio in acqua.

• Accertarsi che non penetri acqua all'interno dell'appa­recchio. Utilizzare nuovamente l'apparecchio solo se è
completamente asciutto.

• In caso di sostituzione, è possibile utilizzare solo lampa­de a infrarossi dello stesso tipo.

• Riporre l’apparecchio in un luogo fresco e asciutto.

Lampadina a infrarossi

Non deve venire avvitata una lampadina che abbia la
potenza superiore a quella riportata sulla targhettatipo.
Lampadine di ricambio si possono comperare nel negozio
dove è stata acquistata la lampada o direttamente dal fab­bricante (Indicare il tipo di lampada).
Possono essere usate solo lampadine qui sotto elencate:

In caso di rottura della lampadina, staccare subito la spina
dalla preso di corrente e fare attenzione di non ferirsi
con il vetro. Lasciar raffreddare l’apparecchio e, facendo
attenzione, togliere ora con una pinza la parte rotta della
lampadina dall’incastonatura (riparare gli occhi) o portare
l’apparecchio in un laboratorio per la riparazione.
La lampadina non fa parte delle prestazioni di garanzia,
perciò non ha diritto ad un ricambio gratuito.

Smaltimento

Valgono le seguenti condizioni di garanzia:

1. I prodotti MEDISANA hanno una garanzia di tre anni a

partire dalla data di vendita. La data di acquisto deve

• Utilice el aparato únicamente conforme al fin previsto
por las instrucciones de uso.

• En caso de utilizarlo para fines distintos, ya no será
aplicable la garantía.

• Utilice únicamente la bombilla infrarroja con la lámpara
de infrarrojos adecuada para ello.

• No utilice el aparato si no funciona perfectamente, se ha
caído al suelo o al agua o se ha dañado.

• No utilice el aparato si el cable o el enchufe están
dañados.

• Mantenga el aparato y el cable alejados de superficies
calientes. No coloque el aparato cerca de fuentes de
calor.

• En caso de fallos, no intente reparar el dispositivo,
puesto que en este caso ya no será aplicable la garantía.
Hágalo reparar únicamente por el servicio técnico auto­rizado.

• El aparato sólo es adecuado para el uso doméstico y no
para el uso comercial.

• Antes de su uso asegúrese que el cable de conexión no

• Deje que la lámpara infrarroja se enfríe antes de
guardarla.

• Este aparato no está concebido para ser utilizado por
personas (niños incluidos) con capacidad física, sensorial
o psíquica disminuida o que no tengan la experiencia ni
los conocimientos necesarios para usarlo, a no ser que
sean vigilados por una persona responsable de su segu­ridad que les dé instrucciones de cómo manejarlo.

• Los niños deben estar vigilados para asegurarse de que
no utilicen el aparato como juguete.

• La terapia mediante la lámpara infrarroja IRH de
MEDISANA no sustituye el diagnóstico ni el trata­miento médicos.

• El tratamiento después de lesiones u operaciones debe
efectuarse sólo bajo la vigilancia y guía de un médico.

• Los agentes analgésicos y calmantes reducen la sensibi­lidad de la piel al dolor y al calor; lo mismo vale después
de la ingerencia de alcohol. Consulte a su médico antes
de utilizar la lámpara.

• Las personas que padezcan de alteraciones de la sensi­bilidad sólo deberán utilizar el aparato por prescripción
médica.

• El aparato no está indicado para personas insensibles
al calor.

• No aplique el aparato en partes del cuerpo con inflama­ciones, quemaduras, infecciones, erupciones cutáneas,
heridas o en zonas demasiado sensibles.

• No utilice el aparato cuando la piel arde o está en­tumecida.

• Si aparecen irritaciones de la piel interrumpa inmediata­mente el tratamiento y consulte a su médico.

• En caso de duda, tiene que consultar con su médico y
seguir sus instrucciones terapéuticas.

• La distancia hacia la lámpara no debe ser menor a los
40 cm, ya que la intensidad de la radiación sería de­masiado alta y llega a ser doloroso.

• Al tratar la cara, cierre siempre los ojos para evitar
lesiones de la retina; no mire directamente en la luz
infrarroja. También se puede cubrir los ojos con un tapón
de algodón.

• Evite una aplicación excesiva para no quemarse la piel.
No se debe exceder la duración máxima de una sesión
de 15 minutos.

• El uso del aparato debe producir una sensación agra­dable. En caso de experimentar dolor o una sensación
desagradable, interrumpa el tratamiento y consulte a su
médico.

Compruebe primero si el aparato está completo y si no
presenta daño alguno. En caso de dudas, no ponga el
aparato en funcionamiento y diríjase a su proveedor o
punto de atención al cliente.

En caso de que aprecie daños ocasionados por el trans­porte al desempaquetar el aparato, póngase inmediata­mente en contacto con su establecimiento especializado.

¿Cómo funciona la radiación
infrarroja?

El calor fomenta la circulación sanguínea y acelera los
procesos curativos. La lámpara infrarroja produce una
radiación de alta intensidad, que se transmite por una
forma de luz a las partes del cuerpo que se quiera tratar.
Esta radiación de luz puede penetrar incluso en las capas
más profundas de la piel. En el tejido y los músculos, la
radiación se transforma en un calor de alta intensidad y
eficiencia. El calor resultante dilata los vasos sanguíneos,
estimula la circulación de la sangre y mejora la circulación
sanguínea y el metabolismo. Además, se dilatan los poros
de la piel. Por lo tanto, la radiación infrarroja puede
aplicarse tanto en tratamientos terapéuticos como cos­méticos. La estimulación del metabolismo fortalece las
defensas del organismo y acelera los procesos curativos.

Tratamiento terapéutico

La lámpara infrarroja de MEDISANA IRH apoya la terapia
en casa y puede acompañar las medidas tomadas por
el médico, por ej. en el caso de:

• resfriados (si tiene fiebre, es imprescindible que
consulte a su médico.)

• tensiones

• contracciones

• dolores musculares

• dolores reumáticos

• afecciones otorrinolaringológicas

Tratamiento cosmético

La lámpara infrarroja de MEDISANA es indicada por ej.
para apoyar los cuidados de la cara y belleza, especial­mente de la piel grasienta. Es imprescindible que retire con

cuidado todo el maquillaje antes de empezar el trata­miento. Los efectos de la radiación infrarroja hacen que
los poros de la piel se dilaten. Por consecuencia, se puede
limpiar la piel a fondo y de forma más eficaz. La piel ab­sorbe las cremas y otros agentes cosméticos con mayor
intensidad y rapidez.
Si se observan todas las instrucciones de seguridad de este
manual de uso, no se han detectado efectos secundarios
de los tratamientos arriba especificados. Si no siente una
mejoría después de varias aplicaciones, contacte con su
médico. En todos los casos aquí no especificados, una
terapia con rayos infrarrojos debe realizarse sólo previa
consulta con su médico.

Funcionamiento

• Observe las instrucciones de seguridad.

• Compruebe el cable de conexión

• Coloque el pie de la lámpara
estable y plana.

• La bombilla infrarroja

Gracias a las 4 posiciones de ajuste entre 0 ° y 45 °, es
fácil encontrar una posición individual y adecuada.

Para evitar quemaduras, toque sólo el pie de la lámpa­ra si quiere modificar la posición.

• Introduzca la clavija en la toma de corriente, y el apara­to empieza a trabajar.

• Los efectos de la radiación son mayores con una distan­cia de radiación mínima. Sin embargo, seleccione una
distancia en la que el calor le resulte agradable, y man­tenga una distancia mínima de 40 cm. Aumente la
distancia si el calor le resulta desagradable.

• La duración del tratamiento depende de su sensibilidad,
siendo de 15 minutos como máximo.

• Retire la clavija de la toma de corriente una vez que
haya terminado el período de radiación.

INSTRUCCIONES IMPORTANTES

Si lo usa 2 veces al día, no debe superarse un
tiempo de irradiación de 15 min por cada sesión.
La radiación infrarroja del aparato no puede
utilizarse para broncear la piel.

Limpieza y cuidado

• Antes de limpiar el aparato o cambiar la bombilla infrar­roja, retire la clavija de la toma de corriente y deje en­friar el aparato.

• Limpie el aparato frío,
séquelo a continuación.

• No use detergentes agresivos o productos abrasivos.

• No sumerja nunca el aparato en agua.

• No permita que agua penetre en el interior del aparato.
No utilice de nuevo el aparato hasta que no se haya
secado completamente.

• Tenga en cuenta que se debe utilizar como repuestos
sólo bombillas infrarrojas del mismo tipo.

• Almacene el aparato en un lugar seco y fresco.

Bombilla infrarroja

No se debe utilizar una bombilla de mayor potencia sino la
que esta anotada en la placa del modelo correspondiente.
Para reemplazar la lámpara podrá adquirirse donde le
haya sido vendido el aparato o pidiéndolo directamente al
fabricante (indicando el Modelo).
La lámpara siguiente debe ser usado:

En caso de que si rompa la bombilla, desconecte inmedia­tamente la lámpara. Cuidado con los cascos de vidrio.
Deje que se enfrie el aparato. Quite cuidadosamente con
unos alicates la parte enroscada de la bombilla (protege
los ojos) o lleve el aparato al servicio técnico para que lo
reparen. La bombilla no forma parte de la garantia. No hay
derecho a una sustitución gratuita.

das instruções de utilização.

• Em caso de utilização não adequada, o direito à garan­tia perde a sua validade.

• Utilize o candeeiro de infravermelhos apenas com a
respectiva lâmpada de infravermelhos.

• Não utilize o aparelho quando o mesmo não funcionar
correctamente, cair no chão ou na água ou estiver dani­ficado.

• Não utilize o aparelho se o cabo ou a ficha estiverem
danificados.

• Mantenha o aparelho e o cabo afastados das superfícies
quentes. Não coloque o aparelho na proximidade de
fontes térmicas.

• Em caso de falhas, não tente reparar o aparelho, pois,
caso contrário, qualquer direito à garantia perde a sua
validade. As reparações apenas devem ser efectuadas
pelo centro de assistência autorizado.

• O aparelho destina-se apenas a uso privado e não a fins
comerciais.

• Antes de cada utilização, verifique o cabo de ligação em
relação a danos. Ele não pode tocar na lâmpada de
incandescência quente.

• Antes de conectar o aparelho à sua alimentação de
corrente, tenha atenção para que a tensão eléctrica
indicada na chapa de identificação corresponda à da
sua rede eléctrica.

• Antes da utilização, coloque o aparelho sobre uma
superfície sólida e plana de modo a não poder tombar.
Não pendure a lâmpada na parede ou no tecto.

• Não deixe o aparelho sem supervisão enquanto estiver
ligado.

• Remova os objectos inflamáveis da área de acção da
lâmpada de infravermelhos como, p.ex., têxteis, óculos
ou pentes.

• A lâmpada de infravermelhos tem de manter uma dis­tância mínima de 80 cm para os objectos inflamáveis.

• Utilize o aparelho apenas quando este estiver completa­mente seco.

• Não utilize o aparelho ao ar livre ou em locais húmidos.

• O aparelho não pode ser operado na proximidade de
uma banheira ou duche, por cima de um lavatório cheio
de água ou com mãos molhadas.

• Proteja o aparelho da humidade.

• Nunca mergulhe o aparelho em água ou outros líquidos.

• Não transporte, puxe ou rode o aparelho através do
cabo de alimentação e não entale o cabo.

• O aparelho não pode ser coberto quando se encontra
em estado quente.

• Proteja o aparelho de embates e vibrações.

• Cuidado, perigo de queimaduras!

- A lâmpada fica quente.

- Não toque na lâmpada de infravermelhos e não a
remova do casquilho enquanto o cabo de alimentação
estiver inserido na tomada.

- Antes de tocar na lâmpada, puxe sempre o cabo de
alimentação e deixe a lâmpada arrefecer.

• Após cada utilização, antes da limpeza e conservação e
em caso de falhas durante o funcionamento, desligue o
aparelho retirando a ficha da tomada.

• Deixe a lâmpada de infravermelhos arrefecer antes de
guardar a mesma.

• Este aparelho não é adequado para ser utilizado por
pessoas (incluindo crianças) com capacidades físicas,
sensoriais ou psíquicas limitadas ou falta de experiência
e/ou conhecimentos, a não ser que sejam vigiadas por
uma pessoa responsável pela sua segurança ou que
tenham recebido instruções como utilizar a máquina.

• As crianças devem ser vigiadas para garantir que não
brincam com o aparelho.

• As terapias com a lâmpada de infravermelhos IRH da
MEDISANA não substituem os diagnósticos ou trata­mentos médicos.

• Um tratamento após ferimentos ou operações apenas
pode ser realizado mediante supervisão e instrução de

• Os anestésicos e calmantes diminuem a sensação de dor
e calor da pele, o mesmo aplica-se após o consumo de

• As pessoas, cuja sensibilidade está deficiente ou limi­tada, apenas podem utilizar o aparelho de acordo com
a prescrição de um médico.

• O aparelho não é adequado para pessoas insensíveis ao
calor.

• Nunca trate partes do corpo que apresentem inchaços,
queimaduras, inflamações, erupções cutâneas, feridas
ou locais sensíveis.

• Não utilize o aparelho quando a pele estiver irritada ou
anestesiada.

• Caso se constatem irritações de pele, interrompa o tra­tamento e contacte um médico.

• Em caso de dúvida, consulte sempre um médico e siga
as suas instruções de tratamento.

• A distância entre a lâmpada e a área a ser tratada não
deve ser menor que 40 cm, caso contrário, a intensi­dade da radiação torna-se demasiado alta e o calor é
sentido como dor.

• Durante a radiação do rosto, feche sempre os olhos para
evitar ferimentos na retina; não olhe directamente para
a luz de infravermelhos. Os olhos também podem ser
tapados com um pedaço de algodão.

• Evite as aplicações demasiado prolongadas para evitar
queimaduras na pele.

• A duração máxima da radiação de 15 minutos não deve
ser excedida.

• O tratamento deve ser agradável. Se sentir dores ou se a
aplicação for desagradável, interrompa o tratamento e
consulte o seu médico.

Como actua a radiação de
infravermelhos?

O calor estimula o fluxo sanguíneo e, deste modo, apoia
o processo de cura. A lâmpada de infravermelhos produz
uma radiação intensiva que e conduzida como luz até à
área do corpo a ser tratada. Esta radiação de luz possui a
característica de penetrar até às camadas cutâneas mais
profundas. No tecido cutâneo e nos músculos, a radiação
é convertida em calor intensivo e de elevado efeito.
Através do calor gerado, os vasos sanguíneos são dilata­dos, o fluxo sanguíneo e a circulação sanguínea, bem
como o metabolismo estimulados são aumentadas. Além
disso, os poros da pele são dilatados. Por isso, a radiação
de infravermelhos pode ser utilizada tanto no tratamento
terapêutico como no cosmético. Graças à estimulação do

Tratamento cosmético

A lâmpada de infravermelhos MEDISANA IRH destina-se,
p.ex., ao apoio dos cuidados de rosto e de beleza, em
especial, na pele suja. Antes de um tratamento, remova
todo o tipo de maquilhagem. Graças à acção da radiação
de infravermelhos, os poros da pele abrem-se. Como
consequência, obtém-se uma limpeza de pele mais pro­funda e melhor. Os cremes e outras substâncias cosméti­cas são absorvidos pela pele de forma muito mais intensa
e rápida.
Se cumprir todas as indicações de segurança deste manual
de instruções, não existem efeitos secundários para os
tratamentos aqui mencionados. Se não se verificar um
melhoramento após vários tratamentos, entre em con­tacto com o seu médico. Em todos os outros casos não
mencionados, a terapia com radiação de infravermelhos
apenas deve ser realizada após a consulta do médico.

• O efeito de radiação é maior em caso de distâncias de
radiação curtas. No entanto, seleccione uma distância
em que o calor seja sentido de modo agradável e nunca
inferior a 40 cm. Aumente a distância se sentir um calor
desagradável.

• A duração de aplicação orienta-se segundo a sua sen­sibilidade, no máximo, durante 15 minutos.

• Após o período de radiação, puxe a ficha de rede da
tomada.

NOTAS IMPORTANTES

O tempo da radiação de 15 min. com 2 utilizações
diárias não deve ser excedido. A radiação de infra­vermelhos não se destina ao bronzeamento da pele.

Limpeza e conservação

• Antes de cada limpeza e na substituição da lâmpada de
infravermelhos, retire a ficha de rede da tomada e deixe
o aparelho arrefecer.

• Limpe o aparelho arrefecido
humedecido, e em seguida, seque o mesmo.

• Não utilize agentes de limpeza agressivos ou abrasivos.

• Nunca coloque o aparelho dentro de água.

• Tenha atenção para que a água não penetre no interior
do aparelho. Volte a utilizar o aparelho apenas quando
este estiver completamente seco.

• Tenha atenção que só podem ser usadas lâmpadas de
infravermelhos do mesmo tipo.

• Guarde o aparelho num local seco e fresco.

Lâmpada de infravermelhos

Não é permitido utilizar uma lâmpada com uma potência
superior à indicada na chapa de características. As lâmpa­das de substituição podem ser directamente adquiridas no
local de aquisição do aparelho ou directamente encomen­dadas no fabricante (indicar o tipo!).
É necessário utilizar a seguinte lâmpada de substituição:

Se o vidro da lâmpada incandescente quebrar, puxe ime­diatamente a ficha de rede da tomada. Cuidado! Perigo
de ferimentos devido a estilhaços de vidro! Deixe o
aparelho arrefecer. Remova cuidadosamente com um ali­cate a parte da lâmpada incandescente aparafusada no
casquilho da lâmpada incandescente (proteger os olhos)
ou entregue o aparelho numa oficina especializada para
ser reparado.

Lees de gebruiksaanwijzing, in het
bijzonder de veiligheidsinstructies,
zorvuldig door vooraleer u het
apparaat gebruikt en bewaar de
gebruiksaanwijzing voor verder
gebruik. Als u het toestel aan derden doorgeeft,
geef dan deze gebruiksaanwijzing absoluut mee.

• Gebruikt u het apparaat alleen volgens zijn bestemming
volgens de gebruiks-aanwijzing.

• Bij oneigenlijk gebruik vervalt de garantieclaim.

• Gebruik de infraroodlamp alleen met de daarvoor
bestemde lamp.

• Gebruikt u het apparaat niet, als het niet storingvrij
functioneert, als het op de grond of in het water geval­len is of beschadigd is.

• Gebruik het apparaat niet als kabels of stekkers bescha­digd zijn.

• Houd het apparaat en de kabels uit de buurt van hete
oppervlakken. Stel het apparaat niet in de buurt van

uit, door de stekker uit de contactdoos te trekken.

• Laat u de infraroodlamp afkoelen, voor u hem opbergt.

• Dit toestel is niet bestemd om door personen (inclusief
kinderen) met beperkte fysieke, sensorische of geeste­lijke capaciteiten of een gebrek aan ervaring en/of
kennis gebruikt te worden, tenzij ze door een voor hun
veiligheid bevoegde persoon gecontroleerd worden of
tenzij ze van deze persoon instructies kregen hoe het
toestel gebruikt moet worden.

• Kinderen moeten in het oog gehouden worden om er
zeker van te zijn dat ze niet met het toestel spelen.

• Therapieën met de MEDISANA infraroodlamp IRH
vervangen geen medische diagnoses of behandelingen.

• Behandeling na letsel c.q. operaties mag alleen onder
toezicht en onder leiding van een arts gebeuren.

• Pijnstillende en kalmerende middelen verminderen de
gevoeligheid voor pijn en warmte van de huid; het­zelfde geldt na consumptie van alcohol. Vraagt u voor
het gebruik uw arts.

• Personen met een gestoorde of belemmerde fijnge­voeligheid mogen het instrument alleen volgens de
aanwijzingen van een arts gebruiken.

• Het apparaat is niet geschikt voor warmteongevoelige
personen.

• Behandel geen lichaamsdelen die zwellingen, verbran­dingen, ontstekingen, huiduitslag, wonden of gevoelige
plaatsen vertonen.

• Gebruik het apparaat niet, als de huid brandt of doof is.

• Breek, in geval van huidirritatie, de behandeling af en
neem contact op met uw arts.

• In geval van twijfel consulteert u altijd een arts en volgt
u zijn therapieaanwijzingen op.

• De afstand tot de lamp mag in geen geval minder zijn
dan 40 cm. omdat anders de intensiteit van de straling
te groot wordt en u de warmte als pijnlijk kunt ervaren.

• Sluit bij bestraling van het gezicht altijd uw ogen, om
letsel aan het netvlies te voorkomen; kijk niet direct in
het infrarode licht. De ogen kunnen ook met een dot
watten worden afgedekt.

• Vermijd te lang gebruik, om huidverbrandingen te voor­komen.

• De maximum bestralingsduur van 15 minuten mag niet
worden overschreden.

• De behandeling moet aangenaam aanvoelen. Indien U
pijn ondervindt of de behandeling onaangenaam aan­voelt, dient U de behandeling stop te zetten en uw
geneesheer te raadplegen.

Hoe werkt infrarode straling?

Warmte bevordert de doorbloeding en ondersteunt zo het
genezingsproces. De infraroodlamp genereert een inten­sieve straling, die als licht naar het te behandelen
lichaamsdeel gevoerd wordt. Deze lichtstraling heeft de
eigenschap, tot in de diepere huidlagen door te dringen.
In weefsel en spieren wordt de straling omgezet in inten­sieve en zeer effectieve warmte. Door de zo gegenereerde
warmte worden de bloedvaten
wijder, de doorbloeding en de stofwisseling worden gesti­muleerd. Bovendien worden de poriën van de huid wijder.
Daarom is infrarode straling zowel geschikt voor thera­peutische als cosmetische behandeling. Door de stimule­ring van de stofwisseling worden de lichaamseigen afweer
versterkt en de genezingsprocessen versneld.

Therapeutische behandeling

De MEDISANA infraroodlamp IRH ondersteunt de thuis-
therapie en kan geneeskundige maatregelen van de arts
begeleiden, b.v. bij:

• verkoudheden (Bij koorts dient in ieder geval de
arts geconsulteerd te worden.)

• stijve spieren

• krampen

• spierpijn

• reumatische klachten

• de behandeling van hals-neus-oor aandoeningen

Cosmetische behandeling

De MEDISANA infraroodlamp IRH is b.v. geschikt voor
ondersteuning van de gezichts- en schoonheidsverzor­ging, in het bijzonder bij een onzuivere huid.
Verwijder beslist grondig de make-up voor een behande­ling. Door de werking van de infrarode straling openen
zich de poriën van de huid. Een betere en effectievere
dieptereiniging van de huid is het gevolg. Crèmes en
andere cosmetische ingrediënten worden door de huid
intensiever en sneller opgenomen.
Bij inachtneming van alle veiligheidsaanwijzingen in deze
gebruiksaanwijzing zijn er voor de hier genoemde behan­delingen geen bijwerkingen bekend. Als er na meermalige
behandeling geen verbetering mocht optreden, dient u
uw arts te consulteren. In alle andere niet genoemde
gevallen dient therapie met infrarode straling alleen na
ruggespraak met de arts te worden verricht.

Het gebruik

BELANGRIJKE AANWIJZINGEN

De bestralingsduur van 15 min. bij 2 behandelingen
dagelijks mag niet overschreden worden.
De infrarode straling van het apparaat is niet
geschikt om de huid te bruinen.

Reiniging en onderhoud

• Voor iedere reiniging en bij het verwisselen van de infra­roodlamp dient u de netstekker uit de contactdoos te
trekken en het apparaat te laten afkoelen.

• Reinig het afgekoelde apparaat,
bevochtigde doek en wrijft u het daarna droog.

• Gebruik geen agressieve reinigings- of schuurmiddelen.

• Doopt u het apparaat in geen geval in water.

• Let erop, dat er geen water in het binnenste van het
apparaat komt. Gebruik het apparaat pas weer, als het
geheel droog is.

• Let u erop, dat als vervanging alleen infrarode lampen
van hetzelfde type gebruikt mogen worden.

• Bewaar het instrument op een droge en koele plek.

Infrarood gloeilamp

Gebruik in geen geval een gloeilamp met een hoger
wattage dan op het typeplaatje vermeld staat. Ver­vangingslampen kunt u kopen bij de zaak waar u uw
apparaat heeft aangeschaft of kunnen rechtstreeks bij de
producent worden besteld (typenummer vermelden!).
Bij vervanging dient men de volgende lampen te gebrui­ken: Philips Infrared R 95E 100 W
Als het glas van de gloeilamp stukgaat, dient u direct de
stekker uit de contactdoos te trekken. Pas op dat u zich
niet verwondt aan glassplinters. Laat het apparaat
afkoelen. Het deel van de gloeilamp dat nog in de fitting
zit moet u voorzichtig met een tang verwijderen
(bescherm hierbij uw ogen) of breng het apparaat voor
reparatie naar de vakhandel. De gloeilamp valt niet onder
de garantie. Er kan dan ook aanspraak worden gemaakt
op kosteloze vervanging ervan.

van de aankoopbon naar onze klantendienst.
Voor garantie gelden de volgende voorwaarden:

1. Voor de producten van MEDISANA geldt een garan-

tietermijn van drie jaar vanaf de datum van aankoop.
Deze kan door middel van de verkoopbon of factuur
worden aangetoond.

2. Alle klachten, die het gevolg zijn van materiaal- en/of

fabricagefouten worden binnen de garantietermijn
kosteloos verholpen.

3. Een geval van garantie leidt niet tot automatische ver-

lenging van de garantietermijn, noch voor het apparaat
zelf noch voor de vervangbare onderdelen.

4. Uitgesloten van garantie zijn:

a. Alle schade die ontstaan is door ondeskundige

behandeling, b.v. het niet op de juiste wijze volgen
van de gebruiksaanwijzing.

b. Beschadigingen, die zijn ontstaan door reparaties

door de koper of een ander onbevoegd persoon.

• Älä upota laitetta koskaan veteen tai muihin nesteisiin.

• Älä kanna, vedä tai käännä laitetta koskaan verkkojoh­dosta äläkä aseta johtoa puristuksiin.

• Laitetta ei saa peittää, kun se on lämmin.

• Suojaa laite tönäisyiltä ja tärinältä.

• Varo, palovammavaara!

- Lamppu kuumenee.

- Älä koske infrapunalamppuun äläkä kierrä sitä irti

pidikkeestä, kun verkkojohto on liitetty.

- Muista aina irrottaa verkkopistoke ja anna lampun

jäähtyä ennen koskettamista.

• Sammuta laite aina käytön jälkeen, ennen puhdistusta
ja huoltoa ja toiminnon häiriötilanteissa irrottamalla
pistokkeen pistorasiasta.

• Anna infrapunavalon jäähtyä, ennen kuin laitat sen
säilytykseen.

• Tätä laitetta ei ole tarkoitus antaa sellaisten henkilöiden
käyttöön (mukaan lukien lapset), joilla on fyysisiä,
hermollisia tai psyykkisiä ongelmia tai joiden kokemus
ja/tai tieto ei riitä laitteen käyttöön, ellei heitä valvo
heidän turvallisuudestaan vastaava henkilö tai tämä
henkilö kertoo heille laitteen käytöstä.

• Lapsia tulisi pitää silmällä sen varmistamiseksi, että nämä
eivät leiki laitteella.

• MEDISANA IRH -infrapunavalolla annettu hoito ei
korvaa lääkärin diagnooseja tai hoitoja.

• Loukkaantumisen tai leikkauksen jälkeinen hoito vaatii
aina lääkärin valvontaa ja opastusta.

• Kipualieventävät tai rauhoittavat aineet sekä alkoholin
käyttö vähentävät ihon kivun- ja lämmöntuntemusta.
Kysy neuvoa lääkäriltäsi ennen käyttöä.

• Lääkärin ohjeita on kysyttävä, jos laitetta käyttää
henkilö, jonka herkistymiskyky on häiriintynyt.

• Laite ei sovi henkilöille, joilla ei ole lämmöntuntoa.

• Älä käsittele vartalon alueita, joissa on turvotusta,
palovammoja, tulehdusta, ihottumaa, haavoja tai arkoja
kohtia.

• Älä käytä laitetta, jos ihoa polttaa tai se tuntuu turralta.

• Keskeytä käsittely välittömästi, jos iholla tuntuu
ärtymystä, ja kysy lääkäriltä apua.

• Jos et ole varma, kysy aina ensin lääkäriltä neuvoa ja
noudata hänen hoito-ohjeitaan.

• Etäisyys valoon tulee aina olla vähintään 40 cm, muutoin
säteilyteho on liian suuri ja lämpö on ennemminkin
kivuliasta.

• Sulje kasvojen hoidon ajaksi aina silmäsi, ettei verk­kokalvo vahingoitu. Infrapunavaloon ei saa katsoa
suoraan. Silmät voidaan peittää pumpulilla.

• Hoidon ei saa kestää liian kauan, ettei iholle tule
palovammoja.

• Pisin säteilyaika ei saa ylittää 15 minuuttia.

• Käsittelyn tulee olla miellyttävää. Jos käyttö tuntuu
epämukavalta tai kivuliaalta, lopeta käyttö välittömästi
ja keskustele lääkärisi kanssa.

VAROITUS

Huolehdi siitä, etteivät pakkausmuovit joudu lasten
käsiin! On olemassa tukehtumisvaara!

Miten infrapunasäteily vaikuttaa?

Lämpö edistää verenkiertoa ja tukee siten parantumista.
Infrapunavalo luo tehokasta säteilyä, joka ohjataan valona
kehon hoidettavalle alueelle. Tämä valo voi tunkeutua
syvimpiin ihokerroksiin. Kudoksissa ja lihaksissa säteily
muuttuu tehokkaaksi ja vaikuttavaksi lämmöksi. Siten
syntynyt lämpö leviää suoniin, verenkierto paranee, mikä
edistää aineenvaihduntaa. Sen lisäksi ihohuokoset
laajenevat. Sen vuoksi infrapunasäteily sopii sekä tera­peuttiseen että kosmeettiseen hoitoon. Aineenvaihdun­nan parantaminen vahvistaa kehon omaa puolustuskykyä
ja edistää parantumista.

Terapeuttinen hoito

MEDISANA -infrapunavalo IRH tukee kotiterapiaa ja voi
olla lääkärin toimenpiteiden lisänä, esim:

• vilustumisessa (kuumeisen potilaan kohdalla on aina
kysyttävä lääkäriltä)

• jännitystiloissa

• krampeissa

• lihaskivuissa

• reumaoireissa

• korva-nenä-kurkku-sairauksien hoidossa

Kosmeettinen hoito

MEDISANA -infrapunavalo IRH sopii mm. kasvo- ja
kauneushoitoihin, erityisesti epäpuhtaalle iholle. Poista
ehostus huolellisesti ennen käsittelyä. Infrapunasäteilyn
ansiosta ihon huokoset avautuvat. Sen vuoksi kasvot saa
puhdis-tettua paremmin ja syvemmältä. Voiteet ja
kosmeettiset aineet imeytyvät ihoon tehok-kaammin ja
nopeammin.
Näiden mainittujen hoitojen yhteydessä ei ole havaittu
sivuvaikutuksia, kunhan vain turvallisuusohjeita
noudatetaan. Jos monen hoidon jälkeen havaittavissa ei
ole paranemista, ota yhteyttä lääkäriin. Muissa kuin em.
tapauksissa tulee infrapunasäteilyhoidoista aina keskustel­la lääkärin kanssa.

Vältä palovammoja tarttumalla valaisimeen ainoastaan
jalasta, kun haluat muuttaa sen asentoa.

• Liitä verkkopistoke ja laite aloittaa säteilyn.

• Säteilyn vaikutus on suurimmillaan lyhyellä etäisyydellä.
Valitse kuitenkin sellainen etäisyys, että lämpö on
miellyttävää, vähintään 40 cm. Suurenna etäisyyttä, jos
lämpö tuntuu epämukavalta.

• Käyttöaika riippuu herkkyydestäsi, korkeintaan 15
minuuttia.

• Kun säteilyaika loppuu, irrota verkkopistoke.

Puhdistus ja hoito

• Irrota verkkopistoke pistorasiasta aina ennen puhdistus­ta ja anna laitteen jäähtyä.

• Puhdista jäähtynyt laite,
kuivaa se lopuksi.

• Voimakkaiden ja hankaavien puhdistusaineiden käyttö
on kielletty.

• Laitetta ei saa upottaa veteen.

• Huolehdi siitä, että vettä ei pääse laitteen sisään. Käytä
laitetta vasta, kun se on kokonaan kuiva.

• Ota huomioon, että varalamppuina saa käyttää
ainoastaan saman tyypin infrapunalamppuja.

• Varastoi laite kuivassa ja viileässä paikassa.

Infrapunalamppu

Laitteeseen ai saa kiinnittää suuremman tehon lamppua,
kuin tyyppikilvessä mainitaan. Varalamppuja voi ostaa
samasta paikasta mistä laite hankittiin tai tilata suoraan
valmistajalta (muista mainita tyyppi!).
Voit käyttää seuraavia varalamppuja:
Philips Infrared R 95E 100 W
Irrota verkkopistoke välittömästi, jos hehkulamppu
rikkoutuu. Varo! Lasinsirpaleet aiheuttavat loukkan-
tumisvaaran! Anna laitteen jäähtyä. Irrota kiinnikkeessä
oleva hehkulampun osa varovasti pihdeillä (suojaa silmäsi)
tai vie laite huoltoon korjattavaksi.
Hehkulamppu ei kuulu takuun piiriin, varalamppua ei saa
maksutta.

huoltoon, ilmoita vika ja lähetä laitteen mukana kopio
ostokuitista. Tällöin ovat voimassa seuraavat takuuehdot:

1. MEDISANA-tuotteille myönnetään kolmen vuoden

takuu myyntipäiväyksestä. Myyntipäiväys tulee todistaa
takuutapauksessa ostokuitilla tai laskulla.

2. Materiaali- tai valmistusvioista johtuvat puutteet

korjataan takuuaikana maksutta.

3. Takuukorjaus ei pidennä takuuaikaa, ei laitteelle eikä

vaihdetulle rakenneosalle.

4. Takuun ulkopuolelle jäävät:

a. kaikki vahingot, jotka syntyvät asiattomasta

käsittelystä, esim. käyttöohjeen noudattamatta
jättämisestä.

a. Vahingot, joiden syyksi voidaan jäjittää ostajan tai

asiattoman kolmannen osapuolen suorittama kun­nossapito tai toimet.
