Basic safety instructions
Avoiding danger of suffocation
Do not allow children to play with foil or other parts of the
packaging.
Keep the foil and other parts of the packaging inaccessible
to children.
Avoiding the danger of fire
Avoid using close to:
sources of heat, such as radiators,

Preventing electric shocks
Never open the casing of the device.
Only connect the power pack to a correctly installed
230 V ~ 50 Hz mains socket.
The socket must be freely accessible, so that you will be
able to separate the power pack from the mains network
simply and quickly in an emergency.
Lay the connection cable so that it is not wound around the
device or touching hot surfaces during operation.

Do not end or squash the connection cable.
Always detach the connection cable from the connection
socket of the device at the plug.
Detach the power pack from the mains socket if you will
not be using the device for a longer period or a thunderstorm is approaching.
Never subject the device to drops of water or spray. Do not
put any objects filled with liquid, such as vases, on or above
the device.
Detach the power pack from the socket immediately, if
foreign bodies or liquid have penetrated the device. Have
the device checked by qualified staff before bringing the
device into operation again.
Do not touch the power pack or the connection cable with
wet hands.
Moisture can condense inside the device if you take the
device into a warm room from a cold one. Wait about two
to three hours before bringing the device into operation in
this case.
You must have the device repaired by technicians before
you use it again, if the device, the connection cable or the
power pack is damaged.
Always leave maintenance to qualified technicians. You will
endanger yourself and other individuals otherwise.
Detach the device from the source of electricity in the case
of operational faults.

Avoiding the danger of poisoning
Batteries can contain poisonous substances. Batteries must
not reach the hands of children. Children could put batteries into their mouths and swallow them.
Preventing the danger of injury
Position the cable so that nobody is able to step on it or trip
over it.
Do not allow electrical devices to work unsupervised.
Never allow children to use the device unsupervised. Keep
the device inaccessible to children.
The remote has a Class 1 infra-red diode. Do not look at the
LED with optical devices.
Do not take hold of the display with unprotected hands in
the case of damage. Wash your hands with soap afterwards.
Pack the damaged parts and send them to your Service
Center for correct disposal.
Avoiding damage
Place the device on a firm, level surface, or attach it to a
sufficiently load-bearing nail.
Do not place the device on delicate surfaces.
Do not stand or sit on the device or put any heavy objects
on the device.
Clean the device regularly.
Do not use any hard objects when cleaning the device.
Always leave repair or maintenance to qualified technicians.
Do not subject the device to any dust, intensive solar radia-
tion, high humidity, high temperatures or strong vibrations.

Information about dealing with
batteries
DANGER!
There will be a danger of explosion in the case
of the incorrect handling of batteries!
Do not charge any batteries.
Never throw batteries onto a fire.
Do not dismantle any batteries.
Never short-circuit batteries.
DANGER!
There is the danger of burning because of leaking from empty batteries!
Rinse with ample water immediately and find a
doctor, if necessary, in the case of contact.
Remove the battery from the remote if you will
not be using the device for a longer period.
Remove an exhausted or leaking battery from
the remote immediately.
Clean the contacts before inserting a new bat-
tery.
Keep batteries away from children. Find a doctor immedi-
ately if a battery has been swallowed.
Only replace batteries with the same or an equivalent type.

Check whether the contacts in the device and on the batter-
ies are clean before inserting the batteries. Clean them if
necessary.
Pay attention to the polarity (+/–) when inserting the batter-
ies.
Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Direct intensive heat,
such as solar radiation, fire or similar, can damage the batteries. Do not subject the remote to any sources of intensive
heat for this reason.

Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children.
Check that all the parts have been supplied.

Placing the battery in the remote
You will have to place the lithium battery supplied in the remote before the first use. You will have to replace this battery
if the device reacts poorly to the remote or not at all. Proceed
as follows to do this:

Replace the battery of the remote only with the
same or an equivalent type.
Ensure that the battery is inserted with correct
polarity.

Press the stop lever (A) on the battery retainer (B).
Pull the battery retainer out of the remote (1.).
Dispose of the used battery in accordance with legal regula-
tions.
Insert a new CR 2025, 3V type battery into the retainer with
correct polarity (2.).
Ensure that the positive pole of the battery is pointing up-
wards.
Push in the battery retainer with the battery until it locks in
the remote (3.).
