Intended use
Intended use
The record player and digital converter is exclusively designed for playing and digitally converting standard long play records (LPs) and singles. Any other use is deemed as improper.
• The device is intended for private use only and not for industrial/commercial use.
Please note that we shall not be liable in cases of improper use:
• Do not modify the device without our consent and do not use any auxiliary equipment that we have not approved or supplied.
• Use only spare parts and accessories that we have supplied or approved.
• Heed all the information in these operating instructions, especially the safety instructions. Any other use is deemed improper and can cause personal injury or damage to the device.
• Do not use the device in areas where there is a risk of explosion. These areas include e.g. tank systems, fuel storage depots, or areas in which solvents are being used. It is also not permitted to use this device in areas where the air is contaminated with fi ne particles (e.g. fl our dust or sawdust).
• Do not expose the device to any extreme conditions. The following should be avoided:
• High levels of humidity or moisture
• Extremely high or low temperatures
• Direct sunlight

• Ensure that children do not play with the device by never allowing them to use the device unsupervised.
• This device is not intended for use by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or by those without experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or they have been instructed in its use by that person.

Packaging fi lm can be swallowed or used improperly. Therefore, there is a risk of suffocation!
− Keep packaging material such as plastic fi lm or plastic bags away from children.
Installation location
• Keep your device and all connected devices away from moisture and avoid dust, heat, direct sunlight and open fl ames (candles or similar). Non-compliance with these instructions can lead to faults or damage to the device.
• Do not use the device outdoors because external elements such as rain, snow, etc. could damage it.
• Avoid exposing the device to water droplets or spray and do not place any liquid-fi lled containers (vases or similar) on or next to the device or the power adapter. Liquids penetrating the device may impair the electrical safety of the product.
• The slots and openings on the device are for ventilation purposes. Do not cover these openings (risk of overheating, fi re hazard)!
• Position the cable so that it cannot be stepped on or tripped over.
• Make sure that there is enough clearance from the sides of the furniture unit. Ensure a minimum clearance of 10 cm around the device for suffi cient ventilation.
• Place and operate all the components on a stable, level and vibration-free surface in order to prevent the device from falling down.
Repairs
• Contact customer services if:
• The power cable is burnt or damaged.
• Liquid has penetrated the device.
• The device is not operating correctly.
• The device has fallen or the housing is damaged.
• Repairs to your device should only be carried out by qualifi ed specialists.
• If a repair must be carried out, please contact only our authorized service partner.

Ambient temperature
• The device can be operated at an ambient temperature of 32°F to +95°F with a relative humidity of < 80% (non-condensing).
• When switched off, the device may be stored at temperatures between -4°F and +140°F

Major changes in temperature or fl uctuations in humidity can cause moisture to build up within the product due to condensation – this can cause an electrical short circuit.
− After transporting the device, wait until the device has reached room temperature before switching it on.

Even when the power switch is off, some components of the device are live.
− In order to disconnect the power to your device or to completely isolate the device from voltage sources, disconnect the plug from the power socket.
• Only operate the device from an easily accessible and earthed 230 V~ 50 Hz power socket that is located near to the device.
• To disconnect the power supply from your device, disconnect the plug from the power socket.

There are live parts inside the device. There is a risk of an electric shock or a fi re if these live parts are unintentionally short circuited.
− Never open the housing of the device and never insert any objects through the slots and openings into the device!
• Do not place any objects on the cables to avoid damaging them.
• Keep the device at a distance of at least one meter from sources of high-frequency or magnetic interference (televisions, speakers, mobile telephones, etc.) to avoid malfunctions and data loss.

− Also remove the adhesive strips from the turntable so that it can rotate freely.
− Remove the wire fi xing the pick-up arm to the arm rest.
NOTICE!
The protective cover for the needle on the pick-up arm is not part of the packaging material. Do not throw it away!

Setting up the device
Place the device on a sturdy, level surface.
Connecting the headphones
− You can connect headphones with a 3.5 mm jack plug to the socket on the right side of the device. The speakers switch off automatically whenever the headphones are connected.
CAUTION!
Loud volumes when using headphones or earphones generate excessive acoustic pressure that can cause hearing loss.
Before putting on headphones, set the volume to a minimum.
Connecting the power supply
− Once you have made all the connections, connect the plug to an easily accessible power socket (100-240 V ~ 50/60 Hz.).
Switching the device on/off
− Switch the device on by turning the volume controller in a clockwise direction. The operating display will light up.
When the device has been switched off, it will continue to consume electricity. In order to switch it off completely, please disconnect the plug.
If you do not need to use the device for a relatively long time, please take it out of operation. Disconnect the plug for this purpose.
Connecting an external amplifi er
You can optionally connect an external amplifi er that takes over the sound output from the device.
− For the sound transmission, also connect an audio cinch cable to the of the plugs and sockets match.

Make sure that the record is free of dust. You can fi nd appropriate record-cleaning brushes and cloths in specialist retail shops.
− Select the desired speed with the speed controller 8:
• 33 rpm for LPs
• 45 rpm for singles
• 78 rpm for special singles
− Set the

− Move the pick-up arm record. The turntable 1 starts to rotate.

On some records, playback may stop before the record has completely ended. In this case, switch off the (

AUX IN operation
You can connect a device with a LINE OUT output or a headphone socket (e.g. a CD player or mobile telephone) to the device’s AUX INinput 11 using a cable with a 3.5mm jack plug.
