CARROT-lll XL KIT - CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM
For Children with Special Needs
before using this
restraint system.

50mm Longer Metal Rods (pair)
Carrot-lll XL seat offers a larger seat to
meet the needs of children who have
outgrown the standard Carrot-lll
restraint system.
Always consult your doctor to make
sure that this restraint system is
suitable for your child.
Use only with occupants who weigh more than 36kg and less than
75kg with height between 140cm and 175cm. This child restraint system
has been successfully crash tested with a 75kg dummy, outside
Before assembling the XL seat, make sure all the parts are in the Kit.

Replace the standard seat with the XL seat
using the same backrest assembly.
1. Remove the Velcro tapes from the back
of the headrest, and detach straps from
the harness bracket (Fig. A & B).
2. Detach and remove the seat assembly
from the backrest by pulling and
releasing the D-shape ring on the back
(Fig. C, D & E).
NOTE: Lower Fixing Strap and a
pair of the seat depth adjustment
knobs (black screw knobs) from the
standard seat will be reused for XL

3. Using the seat depth adjustment knobs
(black screw knobs) attach the XL seat
metal rods to the either of holes
(seat depth: 380mm in the front hole
or 420mm in the rear) on each side of

IMPORTANT NOTE: When attaching the
metal rods, the ridges must be directed
and attached inward. If installed in wrong
direction, it will cause the height
adjustment feature not lock to (Fig F & G).
4. Put the lower fixing straps back on the
metal rods (Fig. H). Make sure it is not
twisted and the metal buckle of the strap
works properly.
Re-assemble the XL seat and the Backrest
Insert the 50mm longer metal rods thoroughly into the backrest while
simultaneously pulling the D-shape height adjustment ring on the back

6. Remove the end loops from the metal yoke (Fig. K & L).
7. Fold the loop end of the harness into a triangle to easily thread
through the front open slots located underneath the headrest and
pull out the back (Fig. M, N & O). Repeat on the opposite side.
8. Pull the comfort pad strap through the
same slot used to pull the H-harness
and attach to the back of the headrest
with the end of the Velcro strap.
Repeat on the opposite side (Fig. P).
NOTE: Make sure that the webbing is not twisted.

9. Re-attach the loop ends back to the
metal yoke and securely lock it on the
eight (8) hooks located on the yoke
(Fig. Q & R).
10. Remove slack of the
harness from the backrest
by firmly pulling the front
of the harness by the
buckle towards you (Fig. S).

11. The metal rods of the XL seat is longer by
50mm than one in the standard Carrot-lll.
Take the 50mm backrest extension from
the standard Carrot-lll and attach it to cover
the back gap (Fig. T).
NOTE: With this longer metal rods, you can use 50mm and 100mm
backrest extensions together at the same time in the XL seat.
After successfully converting your standard
Carrot-lll child restraint system into the
Carrot-lll XL seat, it is ready for use.

this restraint system.
