Please follow the simple steps in this Quick Installation Guide to get your computer
quickly connected to your wireless network. For detailed operating instructions, please
refer to the User Manual on the installation CD.
Before you begin, please be sure you have the following:
• Minimum 300MHz processor and 32MB memory
• Windows XP 32-Bit, XP 64-Bit, Vista 32-Bit, Vista 64-Bit, Windows 7 32-Bit, Windows 7
64-Bit
802.11n or 802.11b/g Wireless Access Point

you can enter it when prompted at the end of the installation.
(If the network key is entered incorrectly your computer will not fully connect to your network
and will not be able to access the internet. The network key aka WEP-Key, WPA-Key or Password
is case-sensitive.)

Install Driver
Important Note: If you have Kaspersky Anti-Virus and/or Zone Alarm you must follow
these steps before installing this adapter:
Kaspersky:
• Double Click the "K" icon to open the Kaspersky Control Panel
• Select "Settings" at the top
• Select "Options" to the left
• Uncheck the box next to "Enable Self-Defense"
• Save and Close
• Then proceed to Step 2 of this installation
Zone Alarm:
• Completely Uninstall Zone Alarm
• (Uninstall the Medialink Adapter if have already attempted to install it)
• Then proceed to Step 2 of this installation
• You may reinstall Zone Alarm after you have finished installing the Medialink Adapter if
you so choose.

STEP 1. Insert Installation CD
into an available CD-ROM drive. The
welcome screen will appear. If this
screen does not appear, go to your
Start Menu, then My Computer and
then double-click “Medialink”.
