who should not use /contraindications
DO NOT use if you have epilepsy or light-induced seizures or chronic migraines.
The energy ashes might cause severe headaches and migraines.
DO NOT use if you have an active implant, such as a pacemaker, incontinence
device, insulin pump, etc. Use of the meˉ system has not been tested in
individuals with active implants, and, therefore, the effects are unknown.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. The meˉ should not be used by anyone or on
anyone under the age of 18. The use of the meˉ on or by children has not been
studied and could result in serious injury.

DO NOT use directly on parts of your skin where you have tattoos, dark brown
or black spots (such as large freckles, birthmarks or moles). These areas may
absorb too much light energy which can injure the skin.
DO NOT use on the ears, neck, nipples, genitalia or around the anus. These
areas may have more sensitive skin and using the meˉ there may cause serious
injur y.
DO NOT use on or around the eyes, eyebrows or eyelashes. Doing so can cause
permanent eye injury.
DO NOT use on a man's face, jaw or neck. Using the meˉ in these areas may
result in skin injury.

on any area where you may want your hair to grow back.

if you are sensitive to light (photosensitive):
- some diseases can be related to photosensitivity including porphyria,
polymorphic light eruption, solar urticaria and lupus
- some medications can be related to photosensitivity including: NSAIDS;
steroids; antibiotics; phenothiazine, thiazide, diuretics, sulfonyluraes,
sulfonamides, DTIC, uorouracil, vinblastine, griseofulvin, Alpha-Hydroxy
Acids (AHAs), Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHAs), Retin-A, Accutane and/or topical
retinoids
- undergoing radiation or chemotherapy treatments
These conditions can make the skin more sensitive to light and more
susceptible to injury. Consult your doctor.
DO NOT use if you have an active skin condition in the treatment area including
acne, sores, psoriasis, eczema, sunburns, herpes simples, open wounds or
a rash. These conditions can make the skin more sensitive to light and more
susceptible to injury.

DO NOT use if you have a history of skin cancer or areas of potential skin
malignancies. Use of the me
system has not been tested in areas with skin
cancer, and, therefore, the effects are unknown.
DO NOT hold the applicator window still over one spot on the skin and ash
multiple light pulses on the skin. Doing so may generate too much heat which
can injure the skin.
DO NOT use meˉ if you experience redness on your skin and it persists for more
than 24 hours after treatment. Contact your doctor or Customer Service.
DO NOT cover any ventilation slots during use, as they help to keep the device
cool during operation. Covering the ventilation slots could result in device
overheating.

1. Connect the power cord into the back of the base unit.
2. Connect the power cord to an electrical outlet.
Make sure that the applicator is placed inside its cradle.
3. Press the power button to turn the system on. Wait until the
indicator next to the power button turns green.
Now the system is ready for use.
setting up
skin sensitivity test
If you are using the system for the rst time or on a new body area, choose a
small area close to the area you intend to treat, for the purpose of performing
a skin sensitivity test.
1. Use the LOW eloˉs level.
2. Follow the pretreatment and treatment instructions below to treat the small
area you've chosen.
3. After the skin test, wait 30 minutes and check your skin for any reaction.
4. If the treated spot appears to be red please wait 24 hours and repeat the test.

how to use
preparation
• To prepare for your me treatment, rst shave the area that you want to treat.
Wipe clean and dry the area. This will ensure that the eloˉs energy is focused on
the hair follicles beneath the surface for optimal efcacy.
• If you have fair hair it is recommended that you wax or epilate immediately
before treating with the me
in order to get the best results.
• If you are treating the face, you can shave, wax or epilate before treatment.

• Press the power button to turn on your me system.
• Select your eloˉ s energy level (1). Always start on Low and
if you are comfortable move to Medium or High for even
greater efcacy. The device will not activate if you do not
select an eloˉ s level.
• Remove the applicator from the base.
• Press the eloˉs activation button located on the back of the
applicator. The button will turn blue and you will hear the
fan start inside the applicator (2).
If this is your rst time using the device, be sure to conduct the Skin Sensitivity Test
described on page 9.

• Gently place the applicator on your skin, so that the two
silver RF contact bars are in complete contact with the skin.
The applicator will emit pulses of bright white light - this is
the eloˉs energy at work. The applicator will not work unless
both silver RF contact bars are touching your skin (3).
• Glide the applicator over your skin in one continuous motion,
moving after each ash (4).
• Repeat until you have covered the entire area 2 to 3 times.
Approximate treatment times are outlined below. Individual
times may vary. You can treat all body areas during the
same treatment session.
• Do not hold the applicator window still over one spot and ash multiple light pulses
on the skin. Doing so may generate too much heat which can injure the skin.
• The applicator will turn itself off if it is not in use for 30 seconds. To turn the
applicator back on, press the eloˉ s activation button located on the applicator.
The device will go into stand-by mode after 3 minutes with no use, press the power
button to turn the device back on.

what to expect
• Turn off the system by pressing the power button on the base unit.
• Place the applicator in its cradle on the base unit.
• Unplug the electric cable from the electrical outlet.
• Clean the cartridge light output window with a non-alcohol based wipe or
soft tissue.
• Clean the outside surface of the me system using ONLY a dry soft cloth or
a non-alcoholic based wet wipe.
• Store the system in a cool and dry place AWAY from the reach of children.

You may feel a warming sensation during treatment. You should always start at
the Low elos level and, if you are comfortable, increase to Medium or High for
even greater efcacy. If your skin should appear slightly red after treatment, this
should disappear within 24 hours.
full protocol
For best results, treat the target area once a week for 7 weeks. Use your
temporary hair removal solution in between treatments as you normally would.
After your initial protocol, use your meˉ for touch ups of new hair growth as
needed.
Tips: When using the system on difcult to treat areas (e.g. underarm) apply the
applicator in 2 directions: left/right and up/down for full coverage.

how to replace your eloˉ s cartridge
• Make sure that the me system is turned off and the cable is
unplugged from the electrical wall outlet (1).
• Turn on the me system. A new cartridge will show 100% on
the control panel. If cartridge is not properly inserted, the
percentage indicators on the base will blink (5).
• Place the applicator in the cradle of the base unit before
turning on the me
system (4).
• Slide the new cartridge gently into the applicator until you
feel it “click” into place (3).
• Remove the used cartridge from the applicator by holding the
cartridge´s sides and gently pulling it out. Dispose of the used
cartridge safely (2). Take the new cartridge out of its protective
container. Avoid touching the glass. Fingerprints or oils from your
skin can interfere with light passing through the glass, and this
will reduce the treatment success.
When the cartridge life indicator light starts blinking on the base, that means
that you have 5% of the pulses remaining on your eloˉs cartridge. When the
indicator light is constant, your cartridge is empty and you need to replace it.

recycling or disposing of your base unit, hand piece or disposable cartridge. If
you have questions, please contact us at www.mepower.com/contactus.
If you don’t have a new cartridge, make sure you place the protective cap in
place of the used cartridge to protect the system inner parts.
