read this manual carefully before use (the design and specifications of the device and
accessories are subject to change without notice).

Initial Use of Sports DV

Charging the battery

There are two ways to charge the battery:

1. Charge with supplied charger.

2. Charge by using USB cable to connect the device with computer
The red indicator light is on during charging and automatically turns off after charging

is completed. The charging time is about 2 hours.

TF Card Preparation

TF card requirements: TF card capacity required by the device is 4GB and above, the
speed is CLASS6 and above.

TF card should be formatted before it is first used for the device. Formatting will
permanently delete all data stored on the card, including protected images, and can
not be restored. Therefore, please back up important data before formatting the card.

Sealing Your Sports DV

Waterproof housing allows your Sports DV to work under the water with a depth of
10 meters (30 feet). When using in the rain or humid environment, you have to use
PODZ DV seal your device in order to protect your Sports DV.

Ensure Right Installation of PODZ

1. Install PODZ behind the device and rotate clockwise until two points are aligned as
shown in the diagram.

2. Slide the lock catch of PODZ to lock it
Attention

1. Not correctly sealing your device will cause damage to the device. The water
damage caused by the user is not covered under warranty.

2. In humid or underwater environment, waterproof sealing rubber shield of PODZ
frame protects the device. You must keep sealing rubber clean, the damage caused by
hair, grains or sand can cause product leaking.

3. After each use of saline solution, you need to use pure water to clean the exterior of
the product, sealing rubber and dry out in the air. If not, the product will be corrosion
and can not be sealed, gradually being damaged.

Time Setup

Please build a usercfg.txt text document in the root directory of the card and fill in the
following time contents:

"DateTime = 2014/01/05: 18:21:00; YYYY / MM / DD-HH: MM: SS Rename " to
modify the date and time; and then set the date and time you need to modify, the setup
of date and time is completed after restarting.

Video

Before starting video, select 1080P/30FPS and 720P/60FPS by switching the
resolution switch.

There are two methods available to start the video recording function. When starting a
video recording, a short-time vibration shows that the video starts. In the video
process, the green light has been flashing.

1. Whether the device is on or off, you can start video recording by just sliding the
video key from STOP to REC.

2. When the device is turned off and video key is at one end of REC position, video
recording will automatically start after turning on the device by long-pressing the
power button and vibration for a short time. Video recording will be stopped by
sliding the video from REC to STOP. Green LED indicator light keeps on and then
enters the standby state.

Taking Photos

1. Long press the power button to turn on the device.

2. After the device is turned on, the resolution switch is in the STOP position, short
press the power button to take pictures. A transient vibration and once flashing of
green indicator light indicate camera operation is completed.

Note: When the device is recording, camera function is invalid.

WIFI Connection

In the video recording process, it can turn on or turn off the WIFI function by short­pressing the power button; the blue LED indicator flashes when WIFI is on, while
blue LED indicator goes off when WIFI is off.

After APP is connected to WIFI, blue WIFI LED indicator keeps on.

HDMI Output

After connecting HDMI output, it will automatically enter small icon browse interface,
switch play video or photo file with resolution switch, short press the camera key to
select the video or photo files that needs to play, stitch video seesaw switch to REC to
play the video or photo files, short press the camera key to stop playback function
when playing video files, automatically stop playback and return to small icon browse
interface when stitching video seesaw switch to STOP.

TV Output

When the video resolution switch is in the FHD mode, TV boots in video mode after
connecting it and function keys are normal video recording function keys at the
moment.

When the video resolution switch is in the HD mode, TV boots in playback mode
after connecting it and the specific operation is the same as the connection HDMI.

Device Reset

When the device appears the abnormal situation due to improper operation, it can
return to normal by pressing the reset key and restarting.

WIFI Function (Connecting with WIFI via Android platform or
Apple systems APP)

Hardware Requirements:

CUP: 1G dual core; RAM: 512MB and above.
The higher the level of hardware is, the better the fluency of video is.

System Requirements:

Android 4.0 and above

Software Installation and Update:

APP Download Update: Google play for Android system and App Store for Apple
system. Download Smart Cam! for installation and update.

WLAN Connection:

In the case that WIFI of Car Black Box is on, turn on the wireless LAN on phone or
plate and then find the corresponding network of Car Black Box to carry out
connection.

Click to enter setup mode; here, you can carry out WIFI setup, camera
parameters setup and languages setup.

WIFI Connection Setup

Here, you can modify user name and password of WIFI network of Car Black Box;
the modification will take effect after restarting the Car Black Box.

Control Car Black Box or APP Video and Camera:

Car Black Box Video or Camera: When the mode is in the state, taking

pictures or video recording are performed through WIFI controlling car black box.
File is saved in TF card of car black box.

APP Video and Camera: When the mode is in the state, taking pictures or video
recording are saved in the mobile phone or plate. The resolution of taking pictures or

video recording is QVGA (320 * 240). Video format is *. MOV.

File Management:

Click into file management mode; here, you can view files of car black box and
mobile phone terminal. You can also play back, delete, share these files as well as

download the files from the car black box to the phone.
Click camera or mobile phone icon to switch to the corresponding files of car

black box and mobile phone terminal.

z File Deletion:

File Deletion: Long press on the file you want to delete into multiple-selection state.
Select the file that needs to be deleted, click for deletion.

z File Download:

If you need to download the file on the car black box to the phone, you just need to
long press on the file you want to download into multiple-selection state, select the

file that needs to be downloaded and click to download.

z File-sharing:

File-sharing is just to share files on your phone; long press on the sharing files into
multiple-selection state. Select the desired sharing files, click into the lower

menu to upload files.

IV. Connecting the computer

Download Images and Pictures

1. After connecting the USB cable with computer, press the power button, green
power indicator light is on when motor is vibration, and the computer will
automatically recognize the TF card disk.

NOTE: Computer operating system: Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7, MAC OS x

10.3.6 above.

2. Use computers to browse and manage files.

3. Unplug the USB cable to turn off the Sports DV.
Note: When using this product, crash phenomena occurs due to improper operation,

the device will return to normal by pressing the reset key and turning on the device
again.
