Onderhoud gashaarden m-design. M-design gashaarden moeten om de 2 jaar
nagezien worden en een onderhoud krijgen. Dit ook om uw garantie te behouden.
Indien dit niet wordt nageleefd , vervalt de garantie. Neem contact op met uw verdeler

every 2 years and get a service. This is also to maintain your warranty. If this is not ob­served, the warranty becomes void. You can rely on your M-design retailer to make this

Openen en sluiten van de deur

Open and close of the door

Voor een eerste ingebruikname moet u het venster schoonmaken en vrijmaken
van elk stof en vetsporen. Dit is ook de enige onderhoudshandeling die door de
gebruiker mag uitgevoerd worden op het toestel.

For initial setup, you need to clean the window and clear the fireplace of any
dust and grease that is left behind. This is also the only maintenance action that
may be performed on the device by the user.

Open

Boven het glas ( onder de bovenlat ) zijn haken voorzien ( links, rechts en
midden ). Duw deze naar omhoog met u vingers. Het venster kan nu ge­opend worden.

Above the glass (below the upper frame) hooks are provided (left, right and
center). Push it upwards with your fingers. The window can now be opened

Dankzij een gepantenteerd systeem, kan de deur heel gemakkelijk ge­opend worden onder een hoek van 45° om een gebruiksvriendelijke
schoonmaak van het venster toe te laten

Thanks to a patented system, the door can be easily opened at an angle
of 45° to allow a user-friendly cleaning of the window

Sluiten

Close

Om te sluiten, slaat u voorzichtig ( maar toch niet te zacht )
het venster tegen de haken zodanig dat het lipje inhaakt.
Controleer dat alle haken ingehaakt zijn.

To close, push the door gently (but not to soft) against the hooks.
Make sure that all hooks are hooked.

1. Inleiding

1. General Remarks

Dit toestel is een inbouwhaard met een gesloten verbrandingssysteem en is ontworpen voor
sfeer en gezelligheid in uw woonkamer. Het is een efficiënte warmtebron en geeft het gevoel
van een echte openhaard.

Het gesloten verbrandingssysteem berust op het principe dat door de natuurlijke trek in de
haard, waarbij de verbrandingsgassen naar buiten worden afgevoerd, de voor verbranding
van gas benodigde lucht (zuurstof) van buiten het huis wordt toegevoerd. Dit gebeurt door
middel van twee concentrische kanalen. Het binnenste kanaal zorgt voor de afvoer van de
rookgassen en het buitenste kanaal voor de aanvoer van de verbrandingslucht. Het voordeel
van dit principe is, dat dit toestel geen zuurstof neemt uit de woonkamer en onafhankelijk van
het leefklimaat in huis functioneert.

2. Aansluiting

Het toestel dient aangesloten te worden door een erkend installateur volgens de laatst
geldende voorschriften. Gebaseerd op de specificaties van uw bestelling is dit een toestel
ontworpen voor aardgas of propaangas. Lees de instructies alvorens het toestel te installeren
en in gebruik te nemen. Controleer voor het installeren de geldende lokale voorschriften
(identificatie van de gascategorie) en of de regelingen van het toestel aangepast zijn.

LET OP
de haard moet op het type gas worden aangesloten
dat op het toestel is vermeld. Sluit dus nooit een pro­paanbrander aan op aardgas of omgekeerd !

De installateur dient rekening te houden met de volgende punten:

This is an appliance using the closed combustion system, designed for the atmosphere and
comfort of your living-room. It constitutes an efficient source of heat and gives the impression
of a real fire.
The balanced flue appliances are based on the principle of natural extraction from the firebox,
which eliminates flue gas outside and brings in air (oxygen) from outside the house which is
necessary for combustion of the gas. It uses to this effect two concentric pipes. The internal
pipe ensures the elimination of burned gases and the external pipe brings in combustion air.
The advantage of this principle is that the equipment works independently of the atmosphere
which predominates in the house.

2. Connection

This appliance must be connected by an approved installer in accordance with the most recent
regulations in force. On the basis of your order specifications, this appliance is designed for
natural or propane gas.
Read the instructions before installing and using this appliance. Before installing the appliance,
please check the local regulations about this type of appliance (identification of the type of
gas, etc.) and check that the furnace is adapted to your means of installation.

ATTENTION:
The appliance must be connected to the type of gas men­tioned on the appliance. Never connect a propane burner
to natural gas or vice versa!

It is imperative that the installer sees to the following:

• het toestel moet gecontroleerd worden op dichtheid van gas en rookgasafvoer.

• het eventueel reeds aanwezige concentrisch kanaal moet op de juiste werking en dichtheid
worden gecontroleerd. Dit toestel kan dan ook geplaatst worden in woningen die mecha­nisch worden geventileerd en kierdicht zijn. Ook voor woningen die voorzien zijn van een
gesloten ventilatiesysteem is dit een ideale sfeerverwarming.

• De werking van de regelkraan, ontsteking van de waakvlam en hoofdbrander moet wor­den gecontroleerd.
Dit toestel is in de fabriek afgesteld en verzegeld. Verzegelde onderdelen mogen niet gewij­zigd worden.
De actieve zone van het toestel omvat het kadergedeelte van voorfront van het toestel (
venster )

•The appliance must be subject to an air tightness test of the gas and elimination of flue
gases.

•The concentric pipe, if already available, must be working correctly.

•The running of the control valve, lighting of the pilot light, the main burner and the
thermocouple must all be checked.
This appliance has been programmed and factory sealed. The sealed parts cannot be mo­dified. The appliance may therefore also be installed in airtight accommodation and accom­modation equipped with mechanical ventilation. It constitutes ambient heating even in accom­modation equipped with a closed ventilation system.

3. Installatie van de haard

Controleer eerst de haard vooraleer u met de plaatsing begint.

3. Installing the fireplace

After having checked the appliance, you are ready to install your appliance.
This is done as follows

3.1.1 Positioneren van de haard

Plaats de haard op een stabiele ondergrond en maak gebruik van de stelvoeten ( fig.1)
om de hoogte te regelen. Maak bout en moer los..

Nooit de haard rechtstreeks op de ondergrond plaatsen zonder
de voeten. De M-design gashaarden nemen convectielucht via
de onderkant van de haard

Regeling van de hoogte van het vuur van Min tot Max :
De voeten kunnen op twee manieren geregeld worden.
Eén regeling per 5 cm ( zie fig 1 ) en een fijne regeling via de schroefdraad ( fig.
2 ) . Dankzij deze fijne regeling kan u het toestel perfect waterpas zetten.

De minimale hoogte van vloer tot onderkant haard is 3,5 cm ( A min).
De minimale hoogte “C min” is dan 22.5 cm gemeten vanaf de vloer tot de
onderkant van de onderlat ( fig. 3 )
De maximale hoogte vanaf de vloer tot onderkant haard is 45 cm.

3.1.1 Positioning the appliance :

Place the appliance on a stable surface using the adjustable feet. Adjust the height of the
appliance turning the bolt ( pic 1 )

The appliance must not be placed directly on the floor as you need to
allow natural convection. The appertures for the air supply (IN) is situated
underneath the appliances

Regulating the height of the appliance :
This can be made in two ways.
A regulation by 5 cm ( pic. 1 ) and a fine regulation by screw ( pic.2 ).

The minimum height as from ground to the bottom of the appliance is 3,5 cm ( A min ).
The minimum height “C min” will be 22.5 cm, measured as from the ground to 4th side frame
( pic.3 ).
The maximum height as from the ground to the 4th side frame is 45 cm for LUNA DH and
max 35cm for Luna CL/CR/DC

3.1.2 De gasaansluiting

De haarden worden standaard geleverd met een Cu Ø12mm aansluiting ( fig. 1 ).Een vast gelaste kop­peling is voorzien met binnendraad 1/2” (1/2 duim ) volgens CE-keuring. De aansluiting bevindt zich altijd
aan de linkerkant van het toestel. Let er op dat er geen vuil in de gasleidingen blijft zitten voor u alles
aansluit. Het toestel wordt altijd aangesloten met een goedgekeurde gaskraan ( voor België een B.G.V.
gekeurde kraan ) en moet ten allen tijde bereikbaar zijn. Voorzie in de schouwmantel een deurtje om
aan de kraan , de elektrische aansluiting en de manuele bediening te geraken .

3.1.3 Elektrische aansluiting

Dit toestel is uitgerust met een radiografische afstandsbediening, daarom moet het toestel geplaatst
worden in de buurt van een 230V stopcontact met aarding. Zorg ervoor dat er zeker een aarding is.
Opgenomen electrisch vermogen 0,025 kW verbruik in A , frequentie 50Hz.
Bij het toestel is een scheidingstranformator meegeleverd. Deze moet tussen toestel ( stekker toestel
) en net ( stekker muur) geplaatst worden. Dit om geen storingen te ondervinden ten gevolge van
onstabiele netspanningen. In de zomer moet u de transformator uitschakelen ( 0-stand ).

3.1.2 Gaz conneciton

The appliances are standard delivered with a 1/2” gas soldered connection ( fig. 1 ). It is always
located on the left-hand side of the appliance. Make sure nothing remains in the gas lines,
since this may easely lead to blockage. An approved gas valve should always be connected to
the appliance, which must be accessible at all times .
For this you can use an access door ( pic. 1 next page ). This access door is also used to have
access at the potentiometer (manual controller) and electrical supply.

3.1.3 Electrical connection

These appliances are equipped with a radiographic remote control, making an earthened 220V
socket necessary. You should bear in mind that the appliance must be connected to all
electrical supplies for the purposes of service. It’s obligatory to connect an earth current.

3.1.4 Ombouw van het toestel aardgas - propaan (of omgekeerd)

De ombouw mag enkel gebeuren door de fabrikant of een erkend installateur. Een nieuw kenplaat
wordt voorzien.

3.1.4. Modification natural gaz to propane

La modification du foyer ne peut se faire que par le fabriquant ou un installateur aggréé. Une
nouvelle plaque signalitique est prévu.

4. Monteren van het concentrisch kanaal

4. Installing the chimney

Gebruik enkel concentrische buizen van het merk ONTOP-METALOTERM en dit beschreven volgens de
richtlijnen in de handleiding. Onze gashaarden zijn enkel getest met buizen van ONTOP-METALOTERM.
Bij het niet gebruiken van deze buizen, garanderen geen goede werking van onze gashaarden. Wij
verwijzen naar tabellen op pagina 8,9,10 en 11 voor een correcte aansluiting van het rookkanaal. Tussen
de buitenzijde van het kanaal en wand of plafond moet minimaal 5 cm ruimte gehouden worden. Zorg
tevens voor voldoende bescherming tegen een temperatuur van ongeveer 130 °C. De geveldoorvoer
moet met siliconenkit afgedicht worden op de buitenmuur.

Install the concentric flue duct as indicated by ONTOP - METALOTERM. The only authorised pipes
are ONTOP Metaloterm™. ONTOP-METALOTERM tested our appliances with their conduct and we
only guarantee a good working of the appliance with those. Between the external wall of the pipe
and the wall or the ceiling, you should allow for a clearance of at least 50mm and protection that is
suitable against temperatures of around 130°C. The passage of the front panel cowl in the external
wall must be filled in using silicone mastic.

Wanneer er richtingsveranderingen van 90° gebruikt worden bij een LUNA 1600/1900 , dan moet met een diameter
200/130 gewerkt worden. Indien de horizontale gedeelten +/- gelijk zijn aan de vertikale gedeelten dan mag een reductie
gebruikt worden na de laatste bocht.

When there are changes in direction of 90° used with a LUNA 1600/1900, you have to use a 200/130 diameter. If the

trek. Dus hou hier ook rekening mee
met het bepalen van de restrictiering.

Belangrijk : let er op dat elk horizontaal gedeelte niet naar beneden helt in de richting van de uitlaat .
Het is zelfs aangeraden indien mogelijk een lichte stijgende helling van 2° a 3° graden te geven, behalve op het
laatste stuk waar horizontaal uitmonding komt ( zie fig 1 ).

Important : Be carefull every horizontal part does not have a negative inclination in direction of the outlet. It is even
better, when possible to have a little inclination of 2 or 3 degrees ascending to avoid rain and condenstation in

5. Isolatie en afwerking

Nu de installatie voltooid is, kan het toestel worden ingebouwd. Vooraleer deze werken aan
te vatten controleert u eerst nog even de gasdichtheid. Ontsteek de haard en controleer de
werking van de haard, de dichtheid van de gasleidingen en het rookgasafvoerkanaal. Zijn
deze in orde, dan kunt u definitief de isolatie- en afwerkingswerkzaamheden aanvatten. Het
inbouwgedeelte van de haard wordt erg warm. Zorg daarom dat de haard niet te strak inge­bouwd wordt, maar dat er ruimte is om warme lucht af te voeren. Wij raden het gebruik van
de M-design isolatiekit aan om het toestel keramisch te isoleren . Andere isolatiematerialen
zijn ten strengste afgeraden. Tevens mogen geen brandbare materialen voor de afwerking
gebruikt worden.

Een heel belangrijk punt bij het opstellen van de LUNA GAS, is dat er rekening
moet gehouden worden met de afstand van de haard t.o.v. de afwerking ( marmer, gyproc,

....) . De Luna is voorzien van een lipje (fig.1) die dient als referentieafstand.Tot tegen deze lip

mag de afwerking aangebracht worden (fig 2 en 3 ).
Op die manier vermijdt men dat het toestel volledig ingesloten is aan de voorzijde, waar hij
zijn convectielucht moet nemen i.v.m. de afkoeling van de elctronica.

5. Insulation and finishing

Indien deze richtlijnen niet gevolgd worden, zal
de electronica oververhitten, waardoor het toe­stel in veiligheid gaat F02

Het metselwerk dient rond de haard opgetrokken te worden met een minimale
luchtspouw van 5 mm voor de haard en 4cm rondom de haard , dit om de
uitzetting van de haard toe te laten. Het is verboden het metselwerk op de
haard te plaatsen. DE HAARD MOET VOLLEDIG VRIJ STAAN. Rondom de
binnenkader dient een speling van 2mm gehouden te worden (zie ook p.17,
plaatsen van een binnenkader en pagina 37,38 en 39)

Once installation is complete, the appliance can be fitted. Before doing so, check the tightness
of the gas pipe one more time. Light the appliance and check that it is working: check the
tightness of the gas pipe and the smoke pipe. Once you have checked everything, you can
perform the final insulating and finishing operations.
The built-in part of the appliance tends to be very warm. Please check that the appliance
is not too narrowly fitted and that there is adequate space for the elimination of hot air. For
insulation of the appliance, we advise you to use M Design insulating plates. You are advised
against using any other insulation product. Inflammable materials as well may not be used for
the finishing.

A very essential point when setting up the Luna Gold is that the distance has to be respected
inbetween fireplace and the finishing material for the mantlepiece such as marble, gipsum,...
For this, a small bended metal sheet that is provided on the fireplace ( pic.1 ) , is to be used
as the minimal reference for the distance. The finishing can only go as far as this metal sheet (
pic.2 ). Don’t remove this ( pic.3 ) ! This allows you to take out the 4th side frame and to let the
airflow in the mantelpiece for natural convection

Indien deze richtlijnen niet gevolgd worden, zal de electronica over­verhitten en komt de haard in foutcode F02.

De opbouw van de haard moet worden voorzien van beluchtingroosters of openingen, zodat hier door
middel van convectie de warmte kan worden afgevoerd . Het is VERPLICHT om de haard van een con­vectiepakket te voorzien.

Dit systeem “geleidt” de warmte door flexibels (dia.150mm) de kamer in. Het is verplicht minstens 2 ope­ningen te voorzien. Voor de 1600H, 4 openingen en de 1900H 6 openingen .
Voor de installatie van deze kanalen, best om eerst min 1 m. verticaal naar boven te gaan om daarna een
richtingsverandering door te voeren, buig vrij breed om en vermijd het gebruik van uitgangsroosters met
een kleine doorlaat, want de veroorzaakte snelheidsverliezen verminderen de doeltreffendheid van de
warmeluchtuitlaten. M-design heeft hiervoor ideale warmerluchtroosters ontwikkeld met vele voordelen
( zie pagina 15 ).

De afvoerroosters zijn voorzien van 2 of 4 aansluitingen ( 2/4 flexibels op 1 rooster !). De twee gaten
tussen de aansluitingen dienen om de schouwmantel af te koelen.

De roosters voor de luchtaanvoer convectielucht mogen niet aangesloten worden met flexibes. Deze moet
altijd beneden geplaatst worden , zo laag mogelijk , ter hoogte van de onderkant toestel.

The enclosure of the appliance must be provided with ventilation grills or openings allowing for the
elimination of heat by convection. It is possible to have a convection kit fitted with the appliance. This
system directs the heat inside the room by means of flexible tubes ( dia. 150 mm).

It is obligatory to open at least 2 hot air vents ( for the LUNA 1600 you must open 4) at the top of the
appliance. For the purposes of the installation of these ducts it is best to go vertically upwards first for
at least 1m and then to change direction, making a rather wide bend and avoid using a flue terminal
grid with a small clearance because the speed loss that this causes reduces the efficiency of the hot
air vents. Place all the fittings that you use at the same lengths and angles if possible, otherwise it is
possible that some grids give off more heat than others and, seeing that a hot air pipe functions in a
manner similar to a chimney, the one that is hot first has the most draught and therefore becomes hot
even more quickly.

Note: a circulation of hot air requires that no under-pressure be created in the room. A grid that is near
the floor (pic 2) sees to it that cold air can be drawn in.
M-design has developed its ideal hot air grids which have many advantages (pic. 1 & 2) and for
the elimination of hot air and the entry of warm air we advise you to use those Design grills made by
M-Design.

The apertures for the air supply “IN” (pic.2) is situated underneath the appliances. The stove may not
be placed directly on the floor to allow natural convection.
To simplify the mounting of the grids you can use the corner profile (a) which is furnished with the grid.
This profile is can be mounted on the side of the grid (two little holes and screws are provided).

OPGELET : Een huis mag nog zo stofvrij zijn, warmtebronnen geven een circulatie van

the flexible and air inlets and outlets using a vacuum cleaner regularly. The smell

caused by these dust particles will disappear after you have used the fireplace

again a few times. (This phenomenon is very common and can be compared to the

gray traces appearing above your radiators.) Optionally you can order design metal

lids to cover the inlets and outlets during the summertime .

Het is verplicht minstens twee openingen te voorzien bovenaan de haard.
Voor de luna 1600h moeten vier openingen voorzien zijn van een afvoer­kanaal ( flexibel). De inlaatopeningen voor de natuurlijk convectie bevinden
zich aan de onderkant van de haard. Plaats daarom nooit rechtstreeks de
haard op de grond zonder de stelvoeten.
Bij de 1900h moeten de 6 convectiegaten aangesloten worden.

Elke opening die gemaakt wordt moet aangesloten worden met een flexi­bel. De lucht wordt anders aangezogen via deze opening en gaat recht­streeks weg naar de bovenste roosters zonder het vuur af te koelen. Ge­vaar dat electronica oververhit ( foutcode f02 ). Zie foto’s hieronder.

Bij het plaatsen van de 3-zijdige kader, moet u eerst de standaard onderlat van 3,5 cm ver­wijderen door deze lichtjes op te heffen en uit te halen. Vervolgens haalt u de fijne bovenlat
weg door deze naar u uit te schuiven. Nadien schuift u de linker- en rechterlat naar u toe.
Neem de linker- en rechterlat van de 3 zijdige kader ( 3,5-7 of 10 cm) en schuif deze in de
uitsparingen ( volgens foto 4 ).
Eens deze latten op hun plaats staan, kunnen deze nadien nog van links naar recht verscho­ven worden en van voren naar achter, dit om nadien de kader mooi passend te maken
omrond. Plaats dan de bovenlat ( foto 5) en nadien de onderlat ( foto 6 ).

Before mounting the 3 sided frame, remove 4 sided frame ( lower piece ) by lift it carefully up.
Pull out the upper frame and in second way the left and right sideframes. Take the left and
right side of the 3 sided frame ( 3,5 - 7 or 10 cm ) and slide them in the notches ( see pic 4
). When those are placed in a good way, you can adjust the position to the left and to the
right and from the the front to the rear. In this way you can make the frame a good fit to the

9. De eerste keer branden

Een erkend installateur is vereist voor de installatie van het toestel en is ook vereist voor het
eventueel ombouwen van het toestel met een ander soort gas ( aardgas propaan of butaan )
Het metsel- en stucwerk bij een nieuw ingebouwde haard bevat veel vocht. Het vocht moet
eerst verdampen voordat de haard gebruikt wordt. Als dit niet gebeurd is, bestaat de kans
dat het stucwerk gaat scheuren of barsten. Overleg met uw schouwenbouwer welke periode
hiervoor in acht genomen moet worden. Laat de haard de eerste keer dat deze gebruikt
wordt rustig branden.
De eerste keren dat de haard brandt kan er een vervelende geur ontstaan. Deze geur
komt van de lak. De lucht die hierbij vrij komt is geheel ongevaarlijk. Om deze geur zo snel
mogelijk te laten verdwijnen dient men de plaats enige tijd goed te ventileren. Na de eerste
keren branden kan er ook een lichte aanslag op de ruit komen. Dit komt door de lak die
uithardt. Nadat de haard is afgekoeld kan deze aanslag verwijderd worden met M-design
bio clean en daarna met Glasex of equivalent . Dit product kan later ook gebruikt worden bij
de reiniging van uw raam.
U mag het toestel nooit opstarten zonder glas in de deur of met de deur open. Indien het
glas gebroken of gescheurd is, moet men het onmiddellijk laten vervangen voordat het toestel
weer in werking wordt gesteld. Neem in voorkomend geval contact op met uw M-design
dealer.

9. First-time use

The masonry and plaster surrounding a recently installed appliance holds a great deal of

moisture, which must first evaporate before commissioning the appliance. If not, the plaster

may crack or split. Ask your installer about the timescale to follow. The first time you use it, only

make a moderate-sized fire.

The first few times the appliance is used, an unpleasant odour may be apparent. It comes

from the protective paintwork. These emissions are totally harmless. To quickly get rid of these

odours, all you need to do is ventilate the room for a while.

After the first few fires, a light deposit may appear on the window. It comes from the paintwork.

Once the appliance is cold you can get rid of this deposit by using M Design’s Bio-Clean

cleaning product. This product may be used later on for cleaning the window.

The appliance must not be used if the door no longer has a window or with the door open. If

the window is broken or cracked, the appliance must not be used until the window has been

replaced. Contact your M Design reseller.

10. Veiligheid, advies en onderhoud

Laat uw haard om de 2 jaar zeker nakijken door uw dealer of door een erkend installateur.
De volgende punten moeten in acht genomen worden:

• Gesloten toestellen geven een behoorlijke warmte af. Dit wil zeggen dat de totale buitenzij­de van de haard (het metaalwerk, het afwerkingskader en het glas) na verloop van tijd warm
zal worden. Dit is de actieve zone van het toestel. Zorg dat kleine kinderen niet tegen het glas
aankomen daar zij zich ernstig kunnen bezeren. Speciale aandacht voor kinderdagverblijven
en andere plaatsen met jonge kinderen, bejaarde mensen of gehandicapte personen en dat
deze niet tegen het venster aankomen.

• Bij de kachel wordt een set houtstammen of een set diamond of een set safir of een set witte
keien meegeleverd. Leg nooit andere voorwerpen in het vlammenspel!

• Zorg dat brandbare voorwerpen op voldoende afstand (min. 1 meter) van de haard worden
geplaatst.

• Verander nooit zelf instellingen. De garantie vervalt onmiddellijk indien deze regel overtre­den wordt.

• Laat kinderen alleen onder toezicht de afstandsbediening gebruiken.

• Laat de waakvlam permanent aan. Dit is standaard zo voorzien op het systeem. Eenmaal
om de 24u zal de waakvlam eventjes doven en daarna terug branden om het electronica
systeem van statische electriciteit te ontladen.

• Indien de brander het even welke reden uit gaat, wacht dan minstens drie minuten alvorens
het toestel terug te ontsteken

10. Safety, advice and maintenance

Have your appliance inspected once a year by a qualified technician.

Please observe the following points:

• Closed appliances produce intense heat, which means that all the surfaces of the external

walls (metal, door frames and windows) become very hot once a certain temperature is

reached. Make sure that young children do not touch the window; this could result in severe

burns.

• The logs, ceramic pebbles, a Diamond set and a Sapphire set are delivered with the

appliance. Never put other objects in the flames!

• Keep inflammable materials a suitable distance from the appliance (min. 1m)!

• Never modify the settings yourself! The furnace warranty will then be considered as invalid,

null and void.

• Never let children use the remote control without supervision.

• Always leave the pilot light on. The appliance is designed in order that the pilot light goes

out automatically every 24 hours and lights instantly. This enables the electronic system to run

down from static electricity.

• In the case where the burner goes out for any reason, wait for 3 minutes before relighting

the furnace.

11. De waakvlam

11. Startpilot

De M-design Gashaarden zijn uitgerust met een CONSTANTE WAAKVLAM.
Na een eerste in gebruikname of bij het starten van het koude seizoen mag de waakvlam niet
telkens uitgeschakeld worden bij het uitdoven van het vuur.

De waakvlam voorkomt condensatie, hetgeen elk onderdeel van de gashaard beschermt, onder
andere ook het elektronicagedeelte. Het toestel is zodanig ingesteld dat het aanlaten van de
waakvlam heel zuinig is.

12. Gebruik van de manuele regelaar (zwart bakje)

Op de electronische interface, is een zwart bakje aangesloten. Dit is een manuele regelaar die
gebruikt kan worden in geval de afstandbediening niet meer werkt.

NOOIT DE MANUELE BEDIENING GEBRUIKEN TERWIJL DE AFSTANDBEDIENING IN GEBRUIK IS
( EN OMGEKEERD ). DEZE WERKEN ELKAAR TEGEN.

Schakel de afstandbediening uit. Draai de knop naar links op “off”. Duw kort op de zwarte knop.
U hoort de waakvlam tikken. Wanneer de waakvlam aan is , kan u de vlamhoogte
regelen om de haard uit te schakelen , draai de knop naar links, duw kort op de zwarte knop. Eerst

The M-Design Gas appliance are provided with “Constant startpilot”. After the first use or
when the winterperiod is coming and you use the fireplace daily, you must let the startpilot
switch ON. Don’t switch it off after each use.

This startpilot avoids condensation in the fireplace and protects the whole appliance and even
the electronic parts against humidity. This startpilot has a very low gasconsumption.

12. Using the manual control

On the user interface, a potentiometer is connected. This one will be used only when
the remote control is broken.

DON’T USE THE POTENTIOMETER SIMULTANIOUSLY WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL TO
SET THE REQUIRED LOAD.

When no ignition with remote control, set potentiometer knob “off” ( turn left ). Push once
on the black push button. You will hear the starpilot ignition. Once you see the flame on the
starpilot , just turn the potentiometer to the right to regulate the flames. To switch off , turn the
potentiometer to the left “off” and push once to extinguish the starpilot flame. Push a second
time to swith off the whole fireplace.

15. Garantiebepaling

15. Guarantee

Deze pagina is uw garantiekaart.
De garantie geldt enkel en alleen voor gebreken die een gevolg zijn van fouten in de con­structie van uw haard, of voor deze constructie gebruikte materialen en onderdelen.
M-Design biedt u een garantie van twaalf maanden op alle electronicaonderdelen. Op de
constructie van het toestel geldt een garantieduur van 8 jaar.

Opgepast: Buiten garantie vallen in ieder geval:

- Glas, ruiten, dichtingen en het decoratieve interieur.

- Gebreken die geheel of gedeeltelijk het gevolg zijn van

• het niet in acht nemen van deze bundel met installatie-, bedienings- en

onderhoudsvoorschriften

• montage / installatie of reparatie door derden, waaronder inbegrepen de koper

• in de schouwmantel optredende hitte barsten

• zich na verhitting in het ijzer voordoende verkleuringen

• indien er buiten ons weten om, eender welke wijzigingen aan de toestel zijn aangebracht

• als dit garantiebewijs samen met het originele en gedateerde aankoop bewijs niet kan

voorgelegd worden, evenals wanneer er blijkbaar met de gegevens op dit aankoopbewijs
werd gemanipuleerd (datum schrappen, onleesbaar maken, veranderen etc.)

Wanneer u aanspraak wilt maken op de fabrieksgarantie dient u eerst contact op te nemen
met uw dealer. Bewaar daarom zorgvuldig de factuur bij dit garantiebewijs.
