Installation of Remote Keypad Interface
WARNING
Disconnect all power sources to unit before installing interface. Exposure to electricity and moving
parts can cause severe personal injury.
1. Mark the remote keypad interface (1120216-01) location on the backside of the main control box keypad
deadfront. (See Figure 1)
2. Drill two clearance holes for #10 screws 7 ¾ inches
apart in the vertical direction. Approximate location of
the bottom hole in the keypad deadfront are as follows:
For 55 inch high units – 3 1/4 inches from the
bottom and 3 1/4 inches from the left edge.
For 72 & 96 inch high units – 3 1/4 inches from the
bottom and 5 3/4 inches from the left edge.
3. Fasten the remote keypad interface assembly to the
deadfront using the two #10 screws and nuts supplied in
a plastic bag in the kit.
4. Disconnect the existing communication cable from the
existing keypad on the deadfront and reconnect it to

5. Connect the communication cable that is supplied with
the remote keypad interface assembly between the existing keypad on the deadfront and the J2 (to local keypad)
modular jack.
6. Secure ground wire (green) supplied with remote keypad interface assembly to one of the existing keypad
mounting studs by removing its nut. Placing the ring terminal end of the ground wire over the stud and refasten
with the nut.
7. There are three pressure sensitive schematics supplied,
place one of the schematics on the front side of the deadfront above or beside the keypad. Place another on the
backside of the deadfront wherever space allows.
