1. Before using any electrical appliance, basic safely pre
cautions should be followed to prevent or reduce the risk of

electric shock, fire, andfor injury.

2. Do not let children use the Maytag Handy Chiller wilhouI

adult supervision. Store your Maytag Handy Chiller out of

reach of children.

3. To prevent electric shock, do not immerse the cord,
plug, or Maytag Handy Chiller in water or other liquids-

4. Check voltage to be sure that the voltage indicated on
the name plate agrees with your voltage.

5. Unplug your Maytag Handy Chiller when not in use and
before cleaning, adding water or ice, or emptying water.

6. Do not use your Maytag Handy Chiller if the electrical
cord or plug is damaged, or after the unit malfunctions or is
dropped or damaged in any manner,

13. To prevent injury, avoid contact with all moving parts and
do not open the cover while the unit is In operation. Keep
hands, hair, clothing, or any Item that may become entangled
away from the mtallng drive roller.

3. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt

to disassemble your Maytag Handy Chiller as il does not

contain any user-serviceable parts.

Maytag Handy Chiller Is a household electrica) appliance to
satisfy your beverage ''Chill- On-Demand™" needs. It is fun.
safe, and easy to use!

• Great for emergency situations at social events, parties,
when unexpected guests arrive, or prior to your meals,
where you can quickly chill room temperature beverages lo a

cold drinking temperature.

• Use your Maytag Handy Chiller as a fast and convenient
way to further chill refrigerated beverages that are still not

cold enough.

• Increase room in your refrigerator by storing your non

perishable canned and boltled beverages {like beer and
soda), outside of your refrigerator to provide more space for
perishable foods and drinks,

• Perfect for the kitchen, home bar, boat, caravan, halls of

residence, office break room etc

• Vbur Maytag Handy Chiller can also be used as a baby

bottle warmer that rapidly and evenly warms your baby for
mula or breast milk. Just add hot tap water.

Your Maytag Handy Chiller uses a standard 220v electric
outlet. Thank you again for your custom of this quality

• 1.5 Liier ice Bin capacity conveniently allows placement of
two typical Ice-cube trays {approx. 30 ice cubes) which chills

five to six beverages.

• Non-Slip Feet help prevent the unit from slipping or mov
ing during operation.

• Maximum Water Level Line tells ihe user when to remove
excess water from ihe unit.

• Miñimum Water Leve! Line tells the user the mlniirvum
arnount of water needed to operate the unit.

• Adú fee Indicator Ught informs the user when the ice bath
temperature is not optimal (ioe bath temperature above

note; this light will be on when heating baby formula.

• Electronic Tooeb-Psd Timer allows for easy to use bever
age container setting cycles based on the type of container
to be chilled.

• Extra button allows the user the option of chiliing their

• No Spin button is used to chill non-cylindrical shaped con
tainers. With this setting, the beverage is sprayed, but not
rotated.

• Removable Lid Cap allows most any sized bottle lo be
chilled with the Maytag Handy Chiller.

How to Operate Your Maytag

Handy Chiller for Beverage Chilling

Now liiat you are ready to use your Maytag Handy Chiller,
please follow these simple instructions to rapidly chill your
beverages. See diagram on page 7.

1. Place the unit on a clean, dry, level surface. Carefully
remove the clear thin film protector on the Touch-Pad Timer.
Plug Ifie electrical cord into an appropriate outlet. The Bottle,
Can, and Wine lights wilt flash to Indicate it is ready to oper
ate. Add one or two standard trays of ice cubes (approx. 15
to 30 cubes] into the nnachine. Make sure ice is not trapped
between the roller and side ribs or above the drive roller. Note:
One standard ice tray will chill two 330ml beverages, and Two
standard ice trays will chill frve to six 33Dmj beverages.

2. Pour two cups of cold water (450ml] into the ice-water
bin. Check to see if the ice-water bath is above the minimum

fill line, but not over the maximum fill line.

3. Lift the lid and place your beverage container HORIZON
TALLY onto the roller with the container neck or top facing
out. For maximum cooling results, the container should be
resting on the right side.

4. Secure the removable lid cap and close the lid. Check to

make sure the lid is down to prevent water from leaking.

5. If your container has a longer neck, such as with a typical
wine bottle, remove Ihe front lid cap by sliding it downward.
This will allow the neck to slick out of the unit. See page 8.

6. Choose from Ihe following STANDARD SETTINGS to Chill
your desled beverage to 6...C/43...F;

CAN - Choose this setting for beverages in 19Dml to 4S0ml

aluminum cans. The cycle time is 1 minute.

BOTTLE - Choose this setting for beverages in fSOmI to
3S5ml glass or plastic bottles. The cycle time is 3,5 minutes,

WINE - Choose I his setting for wine botifes or thicker glass
oonlainers. The cyde time is 6 minutes. SEE OUR WINE TEM

EXTRA - This setting will chill your beverage down lo "ICE

STANDARD SETTINGS,

NO SPIN - Thi$ setting i$ u$ed to Chill non-cylrndrical or
non-rotatable containers. This selling should also be used if
you do not wish to agitate the contents of your beverage
container. Note: Spikying the container with cold water still
provides excellent cooling.

CAN + NO SPIN cycle time is 2 minutes.

BOTTLE + NO SPIN cycle time is 6 minutes.

WINE + NO SPIN eycie time is ‘10 minutes.

7. Once the cycle setting is chosen, press the START/STOP
button and watch your beverage chill to perfectiort. Please
Note: Although the times are pre-set for your
convenience, the cycle can be stopped ait any time by
pressing the STARTfSTOP button.

6. After the unit has cycled, make sure the motion has
stopped. Lift the lid and remove your cold beverage.

9. After prolonged use, check to see if the Add ice indicator
light is lit. If it is, add additional ice and remove any excess

water. The Add Ice Indicator Light will not turn off

until you begin the next cycle. SEE ADDING MORE ICE

INSTRUCTIONS.

Adding More Ice And

Removing Water

Ice will need to be edded as addilbnal beverages are

chilled. The Add Ice Indicator Light in from of the unit Is III
when the ice/water bath is above To add more ice.
follow the steps below;

1. Remove waler unlll il i$ even with Ihe Minimum Fill Llne.
To remove water, select the CAN+ NO SPIN setting. Place a
cup under the Water Exit Jet and press the START^STOP

button. When ihe cup is full, press the START/STOP button

again and discard the water. Continue I his process to

remove more water until It is at the Minimum Fill Line.

2- Add a minimum of one tray Of ico lo the Ice and Water

Bin and make sure ice is not trapped between the roller and

side rib or above the drive roller.

The Add Ice Indicator Light will not turn off

until you begin chilling your next beverage.

You can now enjoy wine at any temperalure, not jusl the
temperature of your nefrigerator. NOTE; The final temperature
of the beverage will vary based on the starting temperature.
This chart assumes a starting temperature of 20®C/6B^F to

25'^C/77“F.

The WINE setting is set to chill a standard wine bottle from
25°C/77®F to 6°C/43®F. The chilling cycle is six minutes. You

can slop the machine at any time during the cycle by pressing
the STARTySTOP button. With certain bottles, you may
experience a small amount of splashing out of the fronL

Please Note; Chilling wine rapidly does not alter the
quality or taste of wine.

WINE

If you are using ihe Maytag Handy Chiller for wine, we have two
modes of operation regular mode which sprays the rotating
bottle with ice water and NO SPIN which sprays the non-rotating
boltle with ice waler. The NO SPIN mode serves two purposes:
1- for people who feel that rotaling may agitate their fine

wines, they have the option of not rotating it select the

NO SPIN button with any of the other buttons (BOTTLE, CAN,

WiNE, or EXTRA).
2- for people who save/collecl their wine labels, rolating the wine

bottle may groove or tear off the wine label select the NO
SPIN button wilh any of the other buttons (BOTTLE, CAN, WINE,

or EXTRA). SEE GRAPH ON RIGHT for approximate wine

botlle chid times starting from room lemperalure 25jC/77|F;

How to operate your IVlaytag Hand^

Chiller as a baby bottle warmer

"l. Turn on your hoi tap water and let it run until the hottest

temperature is obtained (approximately 45^C/113°F to

55°Cil3lOF),

BE CAREFUL WHEN FILLING AND DISPENSING

OF THE HOT WATER BATH.

2. Lift Ihe lid and add hot tap water to the maximum fili line.

3. Place your baby bottle onto the roller with the nipple or
cap side facing out arid close the lid. Make sure the nipple or
cap is sealed tight to prevent any liquid from leaking.

4. If your baby bottle is cylindrical and able to be rotated or
the roller, select the CAN/BABY BOTTLE button and press
the START^STOP button. Your baby bottle will complete a
cycle of 1 minute. If your baby bottle is not cylindrical or not
able to be rotated on the roller, select the NO SPIN button
and Ihe CAN/BABY BOTTLE button. Next, press the
START/STOP button and your baby bottle will complete a
cycle of 2 minutes. Please refer to the baby bottle warming
chart guidelines on the right for cycle times and approximate
temperatures.

ALWAYS TEST "mE TEMPERATURE OF THE BABY FOR-

MULABREAST MILK BEFORE GMNG TO YOUR CHILD.

5. When the warming cycle has finfehed, lake your baby bot

tle out and test the temperature before giving to your child,

When using the Maytag Handy Chiller to heal baby formula, the
final temperature will vary based on the following; the starting tem

perature of the baby formula, the temperature of the hot water, the

volume of formula being heated, and the container being used.
The following chart should be used as a guideline.

storage and Cleaning

When you nne finished u$irig your Maytag Handy Chiller bllow

Ihese step^

1. Remove arty beverage from the unit.

2- Remove all water and Ice from the Ice Water Bin. To
remove the ice and water for storage, select the CAN+ NO
SPIN setting, then place a cup under the Water Exit Jet and
press the START/STOP button. When the oup i$ full, press
the START/STOP button again and discard the water.
Continue this process until no more water is flowing from the
Water Exit Jet. There will still be a small amount of water in
the Ice Water Bin. To remove this water, first unplug the uriit,
then rock the unit front to back to remove any water caught
in the pump system. Carefully pour the water into your sink
over the side of the unit and not over the Touch-Pad Timer.
Avoid getting the Touch Pad-Timer wet. Always remember
to remove the water when you are finished with the unit, Co
r^ot allow water to sit in the Maytag Handy Chiller for extend
ed periods of time.

3. Allow the unit to air dry with the lid up.

A. Store the unit in a safe place out of the reach of children.

If the unit is dirty, clean with mild lukewarm soapy water and

follow these cleaning steps.

DO NOT USE ABRASIVE POWDERS OR SCOURING
PADS SINCE THEY MAY SCRATCH THE SURFACE OF
YOUR Maytag Handy Chiller.

1. Plug in the unit and lift up the lid. Choose the CAN + NO
SPIN setting and let the soapy water circulate in the
machine. Follow the water removal instructions on the left to
remove the soapy water

2. Rince the unit with regular tap water. Circulate the rinse

water through the unit. Follow the water removal instructions

on the fefl to_remove the soapy water.

3. Unplug the tan it and allow to air dry.

One Year Limited Warranty

We wgrranl to the origina! purchaser, that your Maytag Handy

Chiller will be irse fnam defects In mete rial or workmanship under
normal household use for a period of or>e year from the date of
purchase. Your Maytag Handy Chiller has been rnanufactured

under strict specifications and has been designed for use wifh
only Maytag approved accessories or replacement parts. These
wananties eipressly endude any defects or damages resulting
from unapproved accessories, or replacement parts or other

repairs other than those that have been authorized by Maytag.
This warranty does not cover any darnage or defect due to acci

dent, misuse, shipment, improper service, unreasonable use.

During the above one-year warranty period, a product with a defect
will be either repaired or replaced with a reoonditoried ocmparabte

will be in wananty for the balance of Ihe one-year wananty period
and an additional one-month ¡period. No charge will be made for

such repair or replacement
