WARNING

Procedure:

1. Disconnect power from unit and remove unit from installation position.

2. Remove screws securing wrapper, and remove wrapper to access capacitor.

3. Remove screws securing capacitor and diode.

4. Disconnect wiring and diode lead from capacitor. Remove both parts.

5. Install double-sided tape to the end of the replacement capacitor (the tape will act as a
damper and prevent vibration).

Apply tape to
the end of the
capacitor.

6. Install replacement capacitor prepared in step 5 along with the diode removed in step 4.
One piece of double-sided tape will help secure the capacitor.

NOTE: The front tab on the capacitor mounting bracket must be modified to allow for

replacement capacitor installation.

Apply 1 piece of
double-sided
tape between
bracket and
capacitor.

7. Reverse procedure to reassemble.
