To avoid risk of electrical shock , per sonal injury or death; disconnect electrical power before servicing.

WARNING

Procedure:

1. Remove the motor shield above
the motor.

2. Disconnect the wires to the
original motor.

3. Remove the motor and motor carriage from the washer base frame.

4. Transfer the motor carriage and motor pulley to the replacement motor and install the replacement motor
carriage assembly onto the washer base frame.

5. Connect the jumper harness in the kit to the main
wire harness of the washer.

Note: on one speed motor replacements; disregard

the two extra remaining wires. These extra wires
are for the two speed motors only.

7. Pull the extra length of harness back through the
rear wire retainer on the base frame toward the left
rear corner of the cabinet. This will keep the excess
harness away from the damper area and springs.

8. Reinstall the motor shield above the motor. Motor
replacement repair now completed.

6. Connect the connector of the harness to the motor.
Be sure the connector is fully inserted onto the motor
and the two locking tabs of the connector are fully
engaged onto the switch housing.
