• Make sure the VERT unit is CHARGED.

• Make sure the VERT unit is ON, confirm by push button and having screen light up.

• Make sure battery level is at 100% (this will be shown on VERT unit as well as
battery indicator bar on App once paired).

• Make sure VERT unit is near your smart device for pairing. If you are using multiple
VERT units, hold the VERT unit you want to pair with smart device close and look for
strongest signal. Press connect on VERT app and verify your connection by pressing the
push button and see background of app connection change from GREY to RED every
time you press push button on VERT unit.

Q: When using the VERT App sometimes the vertical

jump is not immediately recorded?

A: This happens when signal quality is POOR. The VERT device will store that last

vertical jump and send it to your smart device as soon as it is back in range. The stan­dard range is 100-150 feet line-of-sight. Your range increases substantially in a closed
environment. TEST YOUR RANGE! Open areas such as an outside basketball court will
reduce the Bluetooth signal of the device. Reception quality is dramatically improved
in close proximity. Metal objects around or close to VERT unit or the smart device can
disturb and block the signal. Avoid covering VERT unit with anything made out of metal.

LIMITED WARRANTY:

One Hundred and Eighty (180) Day Limited Hardware Warranty: Subject to the additional terms and conditions

set forth below, Mayfonk Athletic, llc (“Mayfonk”) provides this Limited Warranty: Only to the person or entity that
originally purchased the VERT device from Mayfonk or from one of its authorized resellers or distributors; and Only
for a VERT device purchased and delivered to the end user within the United States.

Limited Warranty: Mayfonk warrants the VERT device (“VERT”) hardware against defects in materials and workman-

ship under normal use for a period of one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of purchase (“Warranty

Period”). This Limited Warranty is valid only in the United States for Products sold in the United States.

A replacement Product or part assumes the remaining warranty of the original Product or ninety (90) days from the
date of replacement or repair, whichever is longer.
If Mayfonk determines that the VERT’s hardware is defective, Mayfonk will either repair the unit or replace the
unit with either a new or rebuilt VERT unit, at its option. If Mayfonk determines the Warranty Period has expired
or is otherwise not applicable (see Scope of Limitation on Warranty below), we will return the VERT to you. More

Return and Warranty Service Process: Please access and review the online help resources at www.mayfonk.com

before seeking warranty service or contact us at [e-mail] attention: warranty service. To return or obtain
warranty service for a VERT device, you must first obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number form a
Customer Support Representative (CSR) at Mayfonk. Customer Support contact information can be found by visiting
www.mayfonk.com. RMA numbers expire thirty (30) days from issuance. Mayfonk may attempt to troubleshoot a
warranty-related problem prior to issuing a RMA number. Please be prepared to provide additional information upon
request. Once a RMA number is obtained, you must ship your VERT unit, freight prepaid, together with proof of
purchase and all accessories, in either the original packaging or packaging affording an equal degree of protection,
to the Mayfonk authorized distribution facility identified by the CSR. Failure to return any of the accessories could
result in a delay and/or result in an invoice to you or credit to Mayfonk for missing accessories. It is your responsi­bility to backup any data, pictures, or other materials you may have stored or preserved on the Product.

Important: When emailing for a RMA number, please provide the following information with your request: (a) model

number, (b) serial number, (c) detailed problem description and reason for return, (d) date of purchase, (e) place of
purchase (reseller or online place of purchase), and (f) return shipping address (P.O. boxes are not accepted).

Scope of and Limitation of Warranty: The warranty on the VERT device is limited to the repair or replacement of

defective units as described in the Limited Warranty section above. This warranty does not cover customer training
or education, app installation, set up adjustments, or wireless signal reception problems. This warranty also does not
cover any issue related to the service provided by your cellular Service Provider, including but not limited to service
disruption, changes in service terms, changes in offerings or technical problems. This warranty does not cover
damage due to acts of God, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use or modification of, or to any part
of, your VERT device. This warranty does not cover damage due to improper operation or maintenance, connection
to improper voltage supply or attempted repair by anyone other than a facility authorized by Mayfonk to service
your VERT device. This Limited Warranty applies only to the Product manufactured by or for Mayfonk that can be
identified by the “VERT” trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to original box. The Limited Warranty does not apply
to any (a) Mayfonk products and services other than the Product, (b) non-Mayfonk hardware product, (c) software,
even if packaged or sold with the Product or embedded in the Product. Refer to the licenses accompanying the
software for details of your rights with respect to its use. Mayfonk does not warrant the operation of the Product
will be uninterrupted or error-free. Mayfonk is not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow instructions
relating to the Product’s use.

Implied Warranties: EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THIS WARRANTY AND THE

REMEDIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES AND CONDI­TIONS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. MAYFONK DISCLAIMS ALL STATUTORY
AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS
FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND WARRANTIES AGAINST HIDDEN OR LATENT DEFECTS. INSOFAR AS ANY
WARRANTIES CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED, MAYFONK LIMITS THE DURATION AND REMEDIES OF SUCH WARRANTIES
TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY AND, AT MAYFONK’S OPTION, THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
SERVICES DESCRIBED BELOW.

Limitation of Liability: EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MAYFONK SHALL NOT BE

LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INCIDENTIAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY
BREACH OF EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

Governing Law and Arbitration..This Limited Warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida without

giving effect to any conflict of laws principles that may provide the application of the law of another jurisdiction.
Any claim or dispute in connection with this Limited Warranty shall be resolved in a cost effective manner through
binding non-appearance-based arbitration. The arbitration shall be initiated through an established alternative
dispute resolution provider and the parties must comply with the following rules: a) the arbitration shall be
conducted by telephone, online and/or be solely based on written submissions, the specific manner shall be chosen
by the party initiating the arbitration; b) the arbitration shall not involve any personal appearance by the parties or
witnesses unless otherwise mutually agreed by the parties; and c) any judgment on the award rendered by the
arbitrator may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. If the foregoing arbitration clause does apply for
any reason, you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the state courts located within Broward County of
Florida for the purpose of litigating all such claims or disputes, which courts shall have excusive jurisdiction of such
claims or disputes. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Mayfonk may seek injunctive or other equitable relief to protect
its intellectual property rights in any court of competent jurisdiction.

1. Charge your VERT unit. IMPORTANT: Charge for 2 hours continuous on FIRST

charge. The red light will turn off when charging is complete. A typical charge
will take around 2 hours.

2. Download the latest version of the

VERT App from the App Store.

3. Turn on VERT unit by holding down push button for 7-10 seconds until screen

lights up (you will see 0.0 and battery %)

4. Open the App and go to Settings -> VERT sensors

5. To sync your VERT unit, simply touch “connect” and your VERT unit is synced

with your smart device. (you can also push button to see if sensor indicator
turns blue from orange to distinguish other VERT units).

6. Personalize your App: Go to settings under “my profile” and set up your Picture

and Name, standing 1 & 2 hand touch, Jersey Number and more!

touch or tryouts in lieu of slap stick equipment.

practice or game performance.
