Initial Connection Set-Up

1) Plug in a cable from your computer to Port 1 of the Maxxwave 1404 Appliance.

2) Set your computer’s IP address to: 192.168.1.3, Subnet: 255.255.255.0 and the gateway can be left blank.

3) Open up a web browser and go to http://192.168.1.2

4) Default username: ubuntu, Default password: ubuntu

5) After initial log in, configure the settings for Ports 2 – 4. These ports will act as a switch.

Optional Selections (shown in Figure 1):

• DHCP Client: Select if the controller needs to get an IP from your DHCP server

• DHCP Server: Select if you need the device to give out IPs for your network.

• Static IP Address: Select if you want to configure a static IP for the controller

Note: The default password can be changed at the top of the page after logging in using the “Change Password” button.

If you change the password there is no way to reset it, if you forget it.

Note: This screen [Figure 1] allows you to change the default ports that the Unifi controller will use. If you change them

from the default setting, please ensure you make note of those changes.
