How to start
Battery insertion/replacement
To install and replace the battery, please follow these steps:
1. Pull down the battery 1 compartment (at the back of the case).
2. Insert one new battery (AA type, 1.5V, LR6), observing correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment.

Setting the clock automatically
Once the battery is installed properly, the clock automatically sets itself to 12 O’clock with the temperature in Celsius displayed on the LCD and then receiving the signal. Once it has received
the DCF signal and processed it accordingly (which takes 3 to maximum 12 minutes), the clock automatically displays the cor­rect time. We recommend that you do not put up or hang up the clock anywhere during this process.
If the clock still has not set itself after 12 minutes, reception is faulty or not possible at the chosen location. Repeat setting at a different location by pressing the RESET button

Alarm functions
Set alarm time
Turn the set-alarm knob

in the direction of the arrow in order
to set the alarm time. Never turn the set-alarm knob in the op­posite direction since this could damage the works.
Switch on alarm
Push the alarm ON/OFF switch

upwards. The red dot is dis-
played on the dial near the 3 o’clock position. At the set alarm time, the alarm sounds for maximum 2 minutes if the alarm ON/ OFF switch

is still upwards (i.e. at the ON position) or the top

button is not pressed.
Interrupt alarm (snooze)
Press the snooze button on the top

of the alarm clock, the light
turns on for 3 seconds. The alarm stops for 5 minutes and then sounds again. The snooze function can be repeated 3 - 7 times.
Automatic switch-off
If the alarm is not interrupted or switched off, it stops automati­cally after approx. 2 minutes. It is reactivated 12 hours later at the same time.

Illumination
To be able to read the face of your alarm clock even when it is dark, briefly press the button 4 on the top of the alarm clock. The illumination function is activated for 3 seconds.
Setting the time
To set the time manually
Press and hold the M.SET

button for 3 seconds to set the time:
1. Press the M.SET button for 1 second to advance 1 minute
2. Press the M.SET button for more than 1 second to auto ad­vance the minute hand.
3. If the M.SET button is not pressed for 8 seconds, the clock is set.

If the radio signal is received, it can display the calendar, second and the temperature.
Press the M.SET button

to switch the LCD display among tem-
perature, second and calendar.
In calendar display, press the REC button

dar display format between date/month and month/date.

Remark: If the radio signal has not been received, LCD displays temperature or second only. Press the M.SET button

Receiving the radio control signal
The radio-controlled clock will automatically receive the radio signal 12 times every day. It will take 3-12 minutes to receive the radio signal.
During force DCF reception by pressing the REC button

3 seconds, the clock will go to 12 o’clock and start receiving the radio signal for 3 - 12 minutes. Once it has received the DCF sig­nal and processed it accordingly, the clock automatically displays the correct time. It the clock still has not set itself after 12 min­utes, reception is faulty and it will resume the time before the force reception.
