Disconnect the clutch cable from the clutch engagement lever.
7.2. Pull the engine starter rope and observe if the driven tire rotates. a) If the driven tire does not rotate go to step 8 below. b) If the driven tire does turn repeat section 6 above but adjust the bearing blocks to 15/16” in step 6.2.
If the drive wheel still turns repeat this procedure and increase bearing block spacing by an additional 1/16 inch until Testing is successful.
8. Clutch cable reattachment and operation testing:
8.1. Reattach the first chain link after the cable of the clutch cable assembly to the s-hook of the clutch
engagement lever. Secure the S-hook to the end of the first chain link after the cable.
8.2. Ensure the engine kill switch is set to the off position and the unit is securely sitting on the kickstand.
8.3. Pull the engine starter rope and observe if the driven tire rotates. a) If the driven tire does not rotate go to step 9 below. b) If the driven tire does rotate then disconnect the clutch engagement cable assembly from the S-hook
and relax the cable by ½ link and reattach the cable assembly to the S-hook. Repeat 8.2.
9. Install MX-500049 Belt Cover using the ¼-20x3/4” screws supplied in the kit.
10. Install Throttle control decal over the top of the existing one (image 12).
