Congratulations on the purchase of your Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System. Safety, comfort and
userfriendliness have at all times played an important role in the development of the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection
System. This product meets the most stringent safety regulations.
Research shows that a high number of car safety seats are incorrectly installed. Therefore, please take the time to
read through the instruction manual carefully and ensure any other persons who will be using this product also do
so. The Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System offers maximum safety only when it is used in accordance with the
instructions.
Continuous research by our development team, user tests and consumer reactions ensure that we are kept fully up
to date in the field of child safety. Therefore, if you have any questions concerning the use of the Maxi-Cosi Citi
Side Protection System, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Important
• Please read these user instructions carefully.
• WARNING: Keep the user instructions for future reference.
• Please look carefully at the illustrations in the manual. The Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System offers
maximum protection only if it is used in accordance with the instructions.
• Correct threading of the seat belt with the lap section under the two blue hooks on the sides and the shoulder
belt section through the blue belt hook on the back, is essential to ensure the safety of your child. See figures
H1 to H5 or the sticker on the side of the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System.
• The Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System is approved in accordance with the most stringent European safety
standards (ECE R44/04) and is suitable for children from 0 - 13 kg (from birth to approximately 12 months old).
• The Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System may be used on the front or rear passenger seat, but always in a
rearward facing position. Do not use a child safety seat if the vehicle is equipped with a front airbag. This
can be dangerous. This does not apply to-called side airbags. When using the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection
System on a collapsible rear seat, the rear seat must always be locked.

• The Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System must only be used on a forward facing seat fitted with an
automatic or static 3-point seat belt, which is approved according to ECE R16 or an equivalent standard.
• Before purchasing the seat we recommend you check that it is compatible for use with the seat belt system in
your car.
• A baby can be very active. Do not be caught unawares by unexpected movements, and ALWAYS secure your
baby with the harness belt, also when using the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System out of the car. Do not
allow yourself to be distracted by your child while driving.
• The safety of the seat can only be guaranteed by the manufacturer when used by the original owner.
• We strongly advise you not to use a second-hand product, as you are never sure if the seat has been involved
in an accident or whether it has been otherwise damaged.
• After an accident your Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System should be replaced. Although it may appear
undamaged, if you were to have another accident it would not protect your child as well as it should.
• It is advisable not to use car safety seats longer than 5 years after the date of purchase. Due to the ageing
process of the plastic for instance, the qualities of the product may have unnoticeably deteriorated.
• Under no circumstances may the moving parts of the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System be oiled or
greased.
• Ensure that all luggage /objects, on the parcel shelf for instance, likely to cause injury in the event of an
accident are properly secured.
• WARNING: Always return the instruction manual to the storage compartment at the back of the seat for future
reference.
• WARNING: Never leave your child unattended in the seat, either in or out of the car.
• WARNING: Do not place the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System on high surfaces, such as tables,
worktops, beds, etc., due to the "risk of falling".
Other Instructions
• When using the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System on the front seat, the car seat must always be placed in
the rearmost position.
• The backrest of the car seat must be placed in an upright position. An adjustable head rest must be in the lowest
position. Return the head rest to the correct position when the seat is used by another passenger.
• The seat must always be secured with a seat belt, even when not in use. An unsecured seat may injure other
passengers in the car in the event of an accident or emergency stop.

• Ensure that the seat is not damaged by wedging it between or underneath heavy luggage, adjustable seats or
slamming the car door, etc.
• NEVER place a baby on your knee in the car. Due to the enormous forces released in an accident, it will be
impossible to hold on to the baby.
• Never use the same 3-point seat belt to secure yourself and the baby in the car.
• No alterations may be made to the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System (seat and harness belt) as this could
effect part or the overall safety of the seat. In such a case the manufacturer cannot guarantee the safety of your
child.
• It is advisable not to leave your child in the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System for hours at a time. To aid the
natural development of your child, it is important that the child be placed regularly flat on its back or stomach.
• The Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System must not be used without the cover. Always use an ORIGINAL
Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System cover, as the cover contributes to the safety of the seat. The energy
absorbing foam in the shell is essential for the safety and must not be removed.
• Everyone travelling in the car must wear a seat belt. Passengers on the back seat not wearing a seat belt could
be dangerous to the child in the front seat.
• In order to prevent damage to the cover do not remove the Maxi-Cosi logo.
Questions
If you have a warranty claim or any other questions, please contact your supplier or importer (see address list on
the back cover of this instruction manual).
Securing the baby in the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System (fig. A-D)
Never leave your child unattended in the seat. This also applies when using the seat outside the car.
• Open the belt buckle (press the red button).
• Ensure the baby is placed correctly in the seat, its back firmly against the back of the seat. The ergonomic shape
of the shell ensures the baby does not slump in the seat.
• The shoulder belts must fit correctly over the shoulders of the baby.
• Slide both plastic tongue sections together (fig. A1).
• Insert both tongue sections in the buckle, you will hear a loud click locking them in position (fig. A2).
• Pull the adjuster belt at the front of the shell tight, so that the child is firmly secured with the harness belt (the
belt system).

Adjusting the harness belt (fig. B)
The harness belt (belt system) must be adjusted to suit your childs body. The harness shoulder belts must be
threaded through the slots nearest to the shoulders of the child.
Adjust the harness shoulder belts as follows (fig. B)
• Open the door of the storage compartment at the back of the shell.
• Pull the shoulder belts through the slots in the cover and the shell.
• Thread the shoulder belts through the correct slots in the shell and cover.
Alter the adjuster belt (belt system) as follows (fig. C)
To loosen: • Press the adjuster button at the front of the shell.
• Pull both harness shoulder belts simultaneously towards you.
To tighten: • Pull the adjuster belt at the front of the shell tight until the harness belt lies firmly against the child.
• The central adjuster belt can be fastened underneath the shell (fig. D).
Optional: Support pillow (fig. E-F)
The Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System is supplied with a removable support pillow (fig. E). This helps the lying
position of the baby and supports the head sideways. The support pillow can be used for a longer period of time if
the foam wedge is removed (fig. F). To remove the foam wedge, open the gauze side flaps. When replacing the
foam wedge ensure that it is completely covered by the gauze side flaps. We recommend that you do not use the
support pillow for longer than 5 months.
Using the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System in the car (fig. G-H)
Please pay attention to the following when installing the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System in the car.
• Do not use a child safety seat if the vehicle is equipped with a front airbag, as this can be fatal. This does not
apply to so-called side airbags.
• Note the difference between the lap belt (fig. G1) and the shoulder belt (fig. G2) when installing the seat in the
car.
• Always place the seat in a rearward facing position (with the child’s back in the direction of traffic) with the
carrying handle in the upright position (fig. H1).

• If the seat belt is adjustable, place it in the lowest position.
• Ensure that the front seat is in the rearmost position.
• Thread the lap belt of the 3-point seat belt on the front under the two bright blue-coloured lap belt hooks (fig. H2)
and fasten the seat belt into the buckle.
• Pull the shoulder portion of the seat belt around the seat and feed it through the bright blue hook on the back
(fig. H3). Make sure that the shoulder portion of the seat belt is secured behind the blue belt hook and blocked by
the retaining hook (fig. H4).
• Pull the belt tight (fig. H5). Ensure the belt is not twisted.
• Check once again to make sure the seat belt is correctly secured under and through the three bright bluecoloured points. The Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System is now correctly installed.
Note:
If your seat belt appears to be too short for the installation method described above, an alternative method can be
used.
• First place the seat belt under the two bright blue-coloured belt hooks on the front and the belt hook on the back.
Then fasten the seat belt into the buckle.
• Pull the seat belt tight.
• Ensure the belt is not twisted.
• Double check that the seat belt is threated correctly under and through the three bright blue-coloured points.
The Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System has now been properly installed.
Adjusting the carrying handle
The carrying handle has 3 positions (fig. I).
Press the two buttons on either side of the carrying handle simultaneously and move the carrying handle forwards
or backwards as required. The buttons will pop up automatically when the carrying handle is in the correct
position.

attached to a Maxi-Cosi or Quinny pushchair (fig. J)

Maintenance
Cleaning of the shell
The shell may be cleaned with warm water and a gentle soap.
Washing the cover
• The cover must be washed by hand at a maximum temperature of 30° (see washing instructions on the back of
the cover). Do not use a tumble dryer.
• Removing the cover for washing. Unhook the cover from behind the pins underneath the front of the shell (fig. K).
Release elastic straps located on the sides of the shell by the carrying handle.
• Thread the shoulder belts and buckle carefully through the slots in the cover.
• The cover can be refitted by using the above instructions in the reverse order. Check that the cover is correctly
refitted around the edges of the shell. It is advisable to buy an extra cover when purchasing the Maxi-Cosi Citi
Side Protection System, enabling the seat to be used at all times (also when the cover is being washed).
Note! NEVER remove the energy absorbing foam.
Optional: Attaching the sun canopy to the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System (fig. L)
• When using the sun canopy in the car, always place the carrying handle of the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection
System in the carrying position (fig. L1).
• Fasten the sun canopy around the handle with the Velcro (fig. L1), ensure that the handle is unobstructed.
• Ensure that the sun canopy is always fitted with the rib facing outwards, so your child cannot hurt itself (fig. L2).
• Pull the back of the sun canopy over the edge at the rear of the seat (fig. L3).
Using the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System in aeroplanes (fig. M)
• This Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System is certified according to the restrictions specified under Docket/ID-No.
8811410300. It may only be used in qualified aircraft cabins on seats indicated by the airline. See website:
www.tuv.com.

• Installing the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System with a 2-point belt is only allowed when used in an aircraft.
• When used in an aircraft, the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System is suitable for children from 0-10 kg (from
birth to approx. 9 months old and/or 75 cm).
• Do not use the child seat on passengers seats equipped with an airbag, as this might be extremely dangerous!
• The Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System may only be used on forward facing aircraft passengers seats.
• Always place the child seat in a rearward facing position on the aircraft seat, the carrying handle must be placed
in the upright position.
• Place both ends of the 2-point seat-belt across the front of the child seat and under the belt hooks, following the
blue belt routing (under the bright blue-coloured belt hooks). Make sure that the lift lever buckle is between both
sides of the child seat (fig. M). Fasten the buckle.
• Tighten the seat-belt. Ensure the belt is not twisted.
• If you don’t use the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System, e.g. while the seat-belt sign is turned off during the
flight, make sure the child seat remains fastened with the seat-belt. An unfastened child seat may injure other
passengers in case of an accident, turbulence or an emergency landing.
• The safety of the child can only be guaranteed when the child seat is used and installed according to the
manufacturer’s instructions.
• To remove the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System, first unlatch the lap belt (according to the airline’s
instructions) and then remove the lap belt from the belt hooks on the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System. The
Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System can now be removed from the aeroplane seat.

Waste seperation
To ensure optimum and safe use of car safety seats, they should not be used for longer than 5 years after the date
of purchase. Ageing of the plastic, for instance under the influence of sunlight (UV), may quite unnoticeably reduce
the qualities of the product.
Once the child has grown out of the seat, we therefore advise you to no longer use the car seat and to dispose of it
in the proper way.
As we care for the environment we request the user to separate the waste produced at the start (packaging) and
end (product parts) of the life of the Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System.
WARNING: Make sure to keep plastic wrapping material out of reach of your child in order to avoid the risk of
suffocation.

Warranty
We guarantee that this product was manufactured in accordance with the current European safety requirements
and quality standards which are applicable to this product, and that this product is free from defects in
workmanship and material at the time of purchase. During the production process the product was subjected to
various quality checks. If this product, despite our efforts, shows a material/manufacturing fault within the warranty
period of 24 months, (with normal use as described in the user instructions) we will comply with the warranty
terms and conditions. In this case please contact your dealer. For extensive information on applying the warranty
terms and conditions, you can contact the dealer or look on our website: www.maxi-cosi.com.
The warranty is not valid in the following cases:
• In case of a use or purpose other than described in the manual.
• If the product is submitted for repair through a dealer that is not authorized by us.
• If the product is not supplied to the manufacturer with the original purchase receipt (via the retailer and/or
importer).
• If repairs were carried out by third parties or a dealer that is not authorized by us.
• If the defect is the result of improper or careless use or maintenance, negligence or impact damage to the
fabric cover and/or frame.
• If the parts show normal wear and tear that may be expected from daily use of a product (wheels, rotating
and moving parts etc.)
Date of effect
The warranty becomes effective on the date the product is purchased.
Warranty term:
The warranty period applies for a period of 24 consecutive months. The warranty only applies for the first owner
and is not transferable.

What to do in case of defects:
After purchasing the product, keep the purchase receipt. The date of purchase must be clearly visible on the
receipt. Should problems or defects arise please contact your retailer. Exchanging or taking back the product
cannot be requested. Repairs do not give entitlement to extension of the warranty. Products that are returned
directly to the manufacturer are not eligible for warranty.

Des études démontrent que bon nombre de sièges auto ne sont pas utilisés correctement. Nous vous
recommandons donc de lire attentivement ce mode d'emploi. La sécurité optimum du Maxi-Cosi Citi Side

• Etudiez bien les illustrations. Le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System est un produit sûr, mais sa sécurité
n'est garantie que lorsque les instructions du mode d'emploi sont respectées.
• Pour la sécurité de votre enfant, il est essentiel que la ceinture de sécurité de la voiture soit correctement
placée, avec la partie ventrale passant le long des deux crochets bleus pour ceinture sur les côtés et la
partie pectorale à travers le crochet bleu pour ceinture à l’arrière. Voir à cette fin les fig. H1 à H5 ou
l’autocollant sur le côté du Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System.
• Le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System est homologué selon les normes de sécurité européennes les plus
strictes (ECE R44/04) et convient pour les enfants de 0 à 13 kg (de la naissance à environ 12 mois).
• Le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System peut être utilisé aussi bien sur le siège avant que sur le siège arrière,
mais toujours dos à la route. Ne placez jamais un siège auto pour enfants à l’avant si l’airbag est connecté.
Ceci peut être très dangereux. Cette recommandation n’est pas applicable aux “airbags” latéraux. Si le
dossier du siège arrière est rabattable, veillez à ce qu'il soit bien bloqué en position redressée lorsque vous
installez le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System.
• Le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System doit être utilisé uniquement sur un siège faisant face à la route et
muni d'une ceinture de sécurité 3 points, à enrouleur ou statique, à condition que celle-ci soit homologuée
selon la norme ECE R16 ou équivalent.
• Avant tout achat d'un siège auto, vérifiez qu'il s'adapte bien au système de ceinture de sécurité de votre
véhicule.
• Un bébé bouge beaucoup. Ne vous laissez pas surprendre par un mouvement inattendu: attachez TOUJOURS
la ceinture du harnais, même lorsque le siège est utilisé à l'extérieur du véhicule. Ne vous laissez pas
distraire par votre enfant lorsque vous êtes au volant.
• Le fabricant ne peut garantir la sécurité du siège que si vous en êtes le premier propriétaire.
• Nous vous conseillons donc de ne pas utiliser de produit d’occasion. Vous ne pouvez jamais connaître avec
certitude son histoire.
• Après un accident, l'état du siège peut se trouver dégradé, bien que les dégâts ne soient pas immédiatement
visibles. Dans ce cas, le siège doit être remplacé.
• Il est déconseillé d'utiliser les sièges-auto plus de 5 ans après la date d’achat. Les caractéristiques du
produit peuvent se dégrader insensiblement, par exemple par l’altération de la matière synthétique.
• Les parties mobiles du Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System ne doivent jamais être lubrifiées, de quelque
manière que ce soit.
• Veillez à bien attacher les bagages ou tout autre objet posé, par exemple, sur la plage arrière. Des blessures
pourraient être provoquées en cas d'accident.
• ATTENTION: Pour toute future référence, il est important de conserver le mode d’emploi dans l’espace prévu
à cet effet.
• ATTENTION: Ne laissez jamais votre enfant seul dans le siège auto, que ce soit à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur
du véhicule.

Autres instructions
• Lors de l’utilisation du Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System sur le siège avant, ce dernier doit toujours se
trouver dans la position la plus reculée.
• Le dossier du siège doit être dans la position la plus droite. L'appuie-tête réglable doit être en position basse.
Vous pouvez rétablir sa position lors de l'utilisation par un passager.
• Le siège auto doit toujours être fixé au moyen de la ceinture de sécurité, même lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé. Un
siège non fixé peut blesser les passagers lors d'un freinage brusque.
• Veillez à ce que le siège auto ne se trouve pas comprimé entre des bagages lourds, des sièges réglables, ou en
fermant les portières, etc.
• NE TENEZ JAMAIS un bébé sur vos genoux en voiture. En cas d’accident, la force importante qui est libérée vous
empêcherait de retenir le bébé.
• Ne portez jamais un enfant sur vos genoux avec la ceinture de sécurité 3 points comme seule protection pour
tous les deux.
• N'apportez jamais de modifications au Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System (siège et harnais). Des
modifications peuvent altérer partiellement ou totalement son niveau de sécurité. Dans ce cas, le fabricant ne
pourrait se porter garant de la sécurité de votre enfant.
• Nous vous recommandons de ne pas laisser votre enfant plusieurs heures dans le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection
System. Son développement musculaire et moteur requiert qu'il soit régulièrement placé sur le ventre ou sur le
dos.
• Le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System ne doit pas être utilisé sans sa housse. N’utilisez que des housses
Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System D'ORIGINE, car la housse joue un rôle important dans la sécurité du siège.
La mousse absorbante en polystyrène expansé qui se trouve dans la coque est essentielle pour la sécurité et ne
doit pas être retirée.
• Toutes les personnes dans la voiture doivent porter une ceinture de sécurité. Les passagers à l’arrière qui ne sont
pas attachés représentent un danger pour l’enfant sur le siège avant.
• Le logo Maxi-Cosi sur la housse ne doit pas être retiré, au risque d’endommager la housse.

Pour toutes réclamations concernant la garantie ou autres questions, contactez votre fournisseur ou l’importateur
(V. la liste d’adresses à l’arrière du mode d’emploi).
Attacher le bébé dans son Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System (fig. A-D)
Ne laissez jamais votre enfant seul dans son siège, que ce soit à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur du véhicule.
• Ouvrez le fermoir du harnais (en appuyant sur le bouton rouge).
• Placez soigneusement le bébé dans le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System, le dos bien appuyé au dossier.
• Veillez à ce que le bébé ait une bonne position dans le siège, le dos bien calé. La forme ergonomique de la coque
empêchera le bébé de glisser.
• Veillez à ce que les bretelles reposent bien à plat sur les épaules du bébé.
• Assemblez les embouts en plastique des deux bretelles (fig. A1).
• Introduisez les embouts dans le fermoir: un fort clic indiquera leur verrouillage (fig. A2).
• Ajustez le serrage du harnais en tirant sur la sangle centrale à l'avant de la coque afin que l'enfant soit
parfaitement attaché (système du harnais).
Réglage de la ceinture du harnais (fig. B)
Les sangles du harnais (système de bretelles) doivent être bien ajustées au corps de votre bébé. Les bretelles du
harnais doivent passer à travers les fentes les plus proches des épaules de l'enfant.

• Ouvrez le compartiment de rangement à l'arrière de la coque.
• Faites passer les bretelles à travers les fentes de la housse et de la coque.
• Vérifiez que les bretelles passent bien à travers les fentes de la coque et de la housse prévues à cet effet.
Réglage de la ceinture du harnais (système de ceinture) (fig. C)
Pour desserrer: • Appuyez sur le bouton de commande à l’avant de la coque.
• Tirez en même temps des deux bretelles vers vous.
Pour resserrer: • Tirez la sangle centrale à l’avant de la coque jusqu’à ce que la ceinture soit suffisamment
• serrée.
• La sangle centrale de réglage peut être maintenue sous la coque (fig. D).

En option: Coussin réducteur (fig. E-F)
Le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System peut est fourni avec un coussin réducteur amovible (fig. E) servant à
moduler la position couchée et à soutenir la tête des deux côtés. L'utilisation de ce réducteur peut être prolongée
en retirant le coussin de la partie assise (fig. F). Dépliez d'abord les rabats latéraux en gaze et retirez le coussin.
Lorsqu'il est remis en place, le coussin doit être complètement protégé par les rabats latéraux. Ne pas utiliser le
coussin réducteur au - delà de 5 mois.
Utilisation du Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System en voiture (fig. G-H)
Respectez soigneusement les conseils ci-dessous concernant l’installation dans une voiture.
• Ne placez jamais un siège auto pour enfants l’avant si le véhicule est équipé d’un airbag frontal qui n’est pas
déconnecté, ceci est très dangereux. Cette recommandation n’est pas applicable aux “airbags” latéraux.
• Lors de l'installation dans la voiture, veillez à bien différencier la partie ventrale de la partie pectorale de la
ceinture de sécurité du véhicule (fig. G1-G2).
• Placez toujours le siège auto dans le sens inverse de la marche (dos à la route), ce faisant la poignée doit être
droite (fig. H1).
• Si la ceinture de sécurité est réglable, réglez-la en position basse.
• Reculez le siège avant au maximum.
• Faites passer la sangle ventrale de la ceinture de sécurité à 3 points à la partie antérieure sous les deux crochets
bleu vif pour ceinture ventrale (fig. H2) et introduisez l’embout dans le fermoir.
• Placez la sangle pectorale de la ceinture de sécurité de la voiture autour du siège-auto et faites-la passer dans le
crochet pour ceinture également bleu vif à l’arrière (fig. H3). Veillez à ce que la sangle pectorale de la ceinture de
sécurité de la voiture soit bien placée derrière le crochet bleu pour ceinture et qu’elle soit bloquée par le crochet
de rétention (fig. H4).
• Serrez bien la ceinture (fig. H5) en veillant à ce qu'elle soit bien à plat.
• Contrôlez encore une fois que la ceinture de sécurité de la voiture est correctement positionnées sous et à travers
les trois points bleu vif. Votre Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System est maintenant correctement installé.
Remarque:
Si votre ceinture de sécurité est trop courte pour la procédure d’installation décrite ci-dessus, vous pouvez
employer la méthode ci-après.
• Placez d’abord la ceinture de sécurité de la voiture sous les deux crochets bleu vif pour ceinture à la partie
antérieure et le crochet pour ceinture à l’arrière. Bouclez ensuite la ceinture.
• Serrez la ceinture.
• Veillez à ce que la ceinture soit bien à plat.
• Vérifiez de nouveau que la ceinture passe bien sous et à travers les trois points bleu vif. Votre Maxi-Cosi Citi Side
Protection System est maintenant correctement installé.
Réglage de la poignée de transport
La poignée peut être réglée sur 3 positions (fig. I).
Appuyez simultanément sur les deux boutons de part et d'autre de la poignée et déplacez celle-ci en avant ou en
arrière. Les boutons reprennent automatiquement leur position dès que la poignée est correctement placée.

Entretien
Nettoyage de la coque
La matière plastique du Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System doit être nettoyée à l’eau tiède et au savon.
Lavage de la housse
• La housse doit être lavée à la main, dans de l'eau à une température maximum de 30° (suivre les instructions de
lavage sur l’envers de la housse). N'utilisez pas de séchoir à linge.
• Retirez la housse avant de la nettoyer. Pour cela, détachez l’élastique sous la coque (fig. K). Retirez les extrémités
de la housse à côté de la poignée de transport.
• Passez les bretelles et le fermoir à travers les fentes de la housse.

• Pour remettre la housse sur le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System, suivez les instructions ci-dessus dans
l'ordre inverse. Vérifiez que la housse épouse parfaitement la coque; dans ce cas, elle sera parfaitement en place.
Nous vous recommandons d'acheter une deuxième housse pour votre Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System afin
de pouvoir continuer à l'utiliser lorsque la housse doit être nettoyée.
• Attention: N'enlevez JAMAIS la mousse absorbante en polystyrène expansé.
En option: Fixation du pare-soleil (accessoire) sur le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System (fig. L)
• Positionnez la poignée du Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System en position transport (fig. L1).
• Fixez le pare-soleil sur la poignée au moyen des bandes Velcro (fig. L1) en veillant à ce que la poignée reste libre.
• Veillez à ce que la baleine soit bien situé à l’extérieur de la coque de sorte que votre enfant ne puisse pas se
blesser (fig. L2).
• Tendez la partie arrière du pare-soleil par-dessus le bord du dossier du siège (fig. L3).
Utilisation du Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System en avion (fig. M)
• Ce Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System satisfait aux exigences visées sous le N° de dossier (Docket)/ID
8811410300. Il peut exclusivement être utilisé à bord de cabines d’avions adaptées en conséquence et sur les
sièges indiqués par la compagnie aérienne. Voir l’adresse Internet: www.tuv.com.
• L’installation du Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System au moyen d’une ceinture de sécurité à 2 points est
uniquement autorisée à bord d’un avion.
• A bord d’un avion, le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System est adapté à des enfants pesant entre 0 et 10 kg
(c'est-à-dire de la naissance jusqu’à environ 9 mois et dont la taille n’excède pas 75 cm).
• N’utilisez jamais ce siège pour enfants sur des sièges passagers équipés d’airbags car cela pourrait être
extrêmement dangereux!
• Le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System peut uniquement être utilisé sur des sièges passagers orientés vers
l’avant de l’avion.
• Placez le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System sur le siège passager de telle sorte que l’enfant regarde vers
l’arrière de l’avion. Veillez à ce que la poignée soit relevée.
• Passez les deux extrémités de la ceinture de sécurité à 2 points sur la partie avant du siège et sous les crochets
pour ceinture en suivant le trajet bleu pour la ceinture (sous les crochets pour ceinture bleu vif). Veillez à ce que
la boucle de la ceinture soit située entre les deux crochets du siège de sécurité (fig. M). Attachez la boucle.
• Tendez la ceinture. Veillez à ce qu’elle ne soit pas vrillée.
• Si vous ne souhaitez pas utiliser le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System lorsque le signal indiquant que les
passagers doivent boucler leur ceinture est éteint pendant le vol, veillez à ce que le siège pour enfant soit bien
sécurisé au moyen d’une ceinture de sécurité. Un siège mal arrimé risquerait de blesser les autres passagers en
cas d’accident, de turbulences ou d’atterrissage en catastrophe.
• La sécurité de l’enfant peut uniquement être garantie lorsque le siège est utilisé et installé conformément aux
consignes du fabricant.
• Enlevez le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System en détachant préalablement la ceinture ventrale (conformément
aux consignes de la compagnie aérienne) et en la retirant ensuite des deux crochets pour harnais du Maxi-Cosi
Citi Side Protection System. Maintenant, le Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System peut être retiré du siège de
l’avion.

Tri des dechets
Pour un usage optimal et en toute sécurité des sièges-auto, ils ne devraient pas être utilisés plus longtemps que 5
ans. Le vieillissement des matières synthétiques, en autres sous l’effet des rayons solaires (UV), peut entraîner une
détérioration imperceptible des propriétés du produit.
Lorsque le bébé est trop grand pour s’asseoir dans le siège-auto, nous recommandons de ne plus l’utiliser et de
s’en débarrasser.
Souhaitant préserver l’environnement, nous demandons au consommateur à l’achat (emballage) et la fin de la
durée de vie (éléments du produit) du Maxi-Cosi Citi Side Protection System de trier les déchets.

produit a également été soumis à divers contrôles de qualité. Si, malgré tous nos efforts, un défaut de matériau
et/ou un vice de fabrication venait à survenir pendant la période de garantie de 24 mois (dans le cas d'une
