This product must be installed by a competent person in accordance with the IEE
Wiring Regulations, BS7671 (18th Edition or later) and current Building
Regulations.
Ensure the electrical supply is disconnected before installation or removing the
covers of the Connect-EV.

Product Description
The matt:e Connect-EV is designed for use in domestic and light commercial / retail
applications where an Electric Vehicle charger is installed.
The unit is not intended for any purpose other than that defined within this document.
WARNINGS
Please read and observe the following notices carefully. These warnings must be
observed when installing and operating the Connect-EV.
All relevant supplies must be isolated or disconnected before commencing any work.
This product must be installed by a competent person in accordance with the IEE
Wiring Regulations, BS7671 (18th Edition or later) and any relevant Building
Regulations.

Introduction
The matt:e Connect-EV is a single phase solation solution designed to facilitate the
installation of an electric vehicle charging systems.
EV
Rated at 32A, the unit is suitable for single phase EV charger systems up to 7kW. It is
essential to check the rating of the EV charger system is compatible with the unit
before installing.
The unit is designed to be installed between the EV charger and the consumer unit or
the incoming supply via Henley type blocks.
The installation location should be clean and well ventilated.

Electrical Connections
The user wiring connections are indicated in the diagram below.
Connect the incoming (live) cable from the consumer unit to the isolator.
Connect the outgoing cable to the RCDA.
Use of SWA cable may compromise the earthing arrangement. Please check before
using SWA cable
On completion of installation the tightness of all electrical connections should be
checked before energising the unit.
