OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Charger Display
Red LED - POWER SOURCE Green LED - CHARGING Yellow LED – FULLY CHARGED (FLOAT)
Green LED - Battery chemistry selection
1. Turn the vehicle on and allow it to idle - charger automatically recognises there is a charge applied to the
main battery
2. Once the main battery has reached 12.8v the charger turns ON and begins to operate
3. The default setting for the battery chemistry is Lead Acid - change the setting pushing the battery type
selector switch until the correct type is set
4. The charger memorises the chemistry settings and sets it as the default setting when turned back on.
Repeat the selection process to change the chemistry. Remember the charger always defaults to its last setting
5. Use a Matson Cable Extension kit to alter cable lengths.
*NOTE- Once the main cranking battery falls below 12.3v, the charger stops operating and switches off. Alternatively, if the auxiliary battery reaches its desired charge level - the charger turns off and lights the FULLY CHARGED (Float Charging) yellow LED.
Maintenance
The charger is maintenance free Disassembly of the charger negates warranty Regularly confirm main battery voltage is above 12volt. If lower, disconnect the charger and investigate the
cause
