• Make a coffee to eliminate any unpleasant taste.
10.2.2 Cleaning the filters and shower heads
•
Prepare a detergent solution using boiling water and sachets of powdered detergent
for coffee machines in a container
which is not made of aluminium or iron.
•
Remove the filters and immerse them and the filter-holders in the solution you have
prepared for at least 20 minutes (preferably overnight if possible)
•
Remove the filters and filter-holders from the solution and rinse in plenty of running
water
10.2.3 Cleaning the drip tray
•
Remove the grid from the drip tray and if necessary clean it.
•
Remove the drip tray and clean it, eliminating any incrustations or residues of
coffee grounds.
10.3 Periodic maintenance
10.3.1 Changing the water in the boiler
Operation to be performed by the user with the machine on and under pressure.
• Drain the water from the boiler by turning on the water nozzle (the amount of water
to drain off should be the same as the boiler capacity see…..)
• Before using the machine again wait for it to reach the right temperature.
10.3.2 Changing the water with total drainage of the boiler
Operation to be performed by the service centre.
• Turn off the machine and wait until there is no pressure inside the boiler
(manometer with arrow pointing at “0”)
• Remove the safety valve by unscrewing it at the bottom using a spanner (size 21).

Using the pump draw off all the water from the boiler
• Put the safety valve back on.
•
Fill up the boiler again (see paragraph….)
