Important Notes
NC-3000 is exclusively for indoor usages only, do not use it outdoor.
Do not disassemble NC-3000. If there is any problem with
operations, please contact MA authorized distributor.
Do not expose NC-3000 to liquids, extreme humidity or moisture.
To avoid operating NC-3000 in environme nts with strong magne tic
and/or electromagnetic fields.
Use the supplied power cord with a properly grounded outlet. The
power source for NC-3000 is AC 220V~240V, 60 H z.
Keep NC-3000 away from magnets, activated cellular phones,
electrical appliances, or speakers within 13 cm / 5 inch.

Power On / Off
To Switch on NC-3000:
Plug in the power cord to the device.
Press the Power Switch button on the back side
of the device.
After the system runs, NC3000 enters main
display.
To Switch off NC-3000
Confirm that all the counting results are saved
or not necessary to be saved.
Press the power switch button to turn it off.
Placing Bills
To operate the device smoothly, please follow the instruction:
Avoid counting wet, excessively dirty or spoiled notes.
Check for foreign matter mixed with notes, i.e.: paper chips, rubber bands,
clips, dust, etc. which jam the bill path or even damage the sensors.
Remove folds or curl from the notes beforehand.
Align all the corners and edges of notes, unevenness could cause errors.
Put the no tes in the middle of hopp er and adjust the hopper guide if it’s
necessary.

Selecting Currency / Detection Off Mode
To Select one of the factory preset currencies or turn off the detection:
Press the Function key CUR (Currency).
The available currencies and detection off mode show sequentially at the
left top of the LCD.
Keep pressing the Function key CUR until the desired currency or detection
off mode is shown.
Currency and Value icons show when detection is on, and disappear when it
is off.
When detection is off, only the “Quantity” shows, the “Amount " and " List
“will be disabled.

Auto / Manual Start Mode
To set the start-counting mode to automatic and manual mode.
Press the key Function and Auto (6) to switch between Auto/Manual Start
Mode.
The LCD will show the actual status of the mode.
On A (Auto Start Mode), the device counts after detecting banknotes on
the hopper.
On M (Manual Start Mode), the device counts after pressing the Start.

Add mode
To sum up the counting result.
Press the key Function and Add (5) to toggle between Add On/Off Mode.

When Add mode is turned on, the counting results of different bundles are
accumulated automatically.
The display shows the current status of the mode, the " " icon lights up
if Add mode is on, and disappears when Add mode is off.

Counting Speed
To adjust the counting speed.
Press the keys Function and Speed (2) to switch the counting speed
between Low/medium/High speeds.
Three different counting speeds are shown sequentially on the middle top
of the LCD display.
900 notes / minutes.
1200 notes / minutes.
1500 notes / minutes.

Batch Counting
To count a preset number of notes from 1 t o 999.
Set the batch
Press the Function and BATCH.
Enter a desired quantity by pressing the number keys.
Press the Start to confirm setting and go back to upper layer.
The preset batch is shown on the right top of the LCD display.
Cancel the batch

Press the Function and BATCH to enter batch mode.
Press the Function and BATCH again or press C to clear the present
number.
Press the Start to confirm setting and go back to upper layer.
The preset batch is cancelled
Batch Counting
Counting Mode
Mixed Value / Denomination Detection Counting
Mixed Value mode - Counts mixed denomination of bank notes, and stops when
a suspicious note is detected.
Denomination detection mode - Counts the notes with the denomination of first
real note detected only, and stops when a different value or suspicious note is
detected
Before counting, press the "V (value)" navigation key.
Select "MIX" for mixed face values, "DD" for denomination detection
counting
Depending on the operation settings "Auto / Manual" (see page 11.), start
counting.

Result Display Modes and Clearing
The counting result is shown on the display according to the mode selected
below:
To choose a display mode, press the navigation key "○

(Info) ", and the
result shows:
Amount and Quantity mode – value of notes counted, and number
of notes counted.
List mode – all details available, value, quantity, and amount of
counted notes, if the 5 rows are not enough, press the navigation key
" (Down)" to display the remaining details.
Amount and Quantity Modes are displayed while running, List Mode
returns to Amount and Quantity mode in process, and requires
pressing navigation key "○

" again to display the results.
Press the Function key " C (Clear) " to clear the results, and prepare for
another operation.

Printing the Summary
To print the result as receipt by using an optionally available printer.
Connect an available printer with the device.
Press the navigation key .
Follow the display message to proceed.
Press navigation key again to print one piece of breakdown list.
Press the C to cancel the operation.
Printing receipt.
Receipt included local value, exchange rate could be set, please refer t o p.24.

Verify and Adjusting the Environment Settings
To verify and adjust the settings
Enter Setting Mode
Press the FUNCTION and SET (4) to enter the setting mode.
Highlight icons with navigation keys
The navigation keys turn to arrows " (Move Left) ", " (Move
Right) ", and " (Enter) ".
Confirm the selection
After highlighting a desir ed icon, press the " (Enter)"or "Start"
to confirm the selection.
Go back to main screen.
Press C anytime t o delete last input operation and return to the
upper layer, until the main screen.

Contents and Functions of the Environment Settings
Following options are available:
Contrast Adjust
Highlight the icon. press the " (Enter)"
Adjust the LCD panel contrast. Light to Dark, 7
levels (default is level 4).
Backlight Setting
Highlight the icon. press the " (Enter)"
Turn the backlight on or off. On / Off (default is
ON)

Sound Settings
Highlight the icon and press the " (Enter)"
Select the desired submenu
a. Alarm - warning alarm when suspicious note
detected.

b. Key Beep - confirm beep when pressing buttons.

Set the Currency Exchange Rates
Highlight the icon. press the " (Enter)"
Highlight the desired currency by the navigation
keys " (Move Up)", " (Move Down)".
Press " (Enter) " to set the rate.
The currency exchange table can be set up to six
digits and one decimal separator dot.
Use the navigation key to add, move to next
digit, or place the dot; press "C" to delete the last
digit.
After setting the desired exchange rate, press "
Enter / Start " to confirm and go back to the upper
layer.

Highlight the icon and press the " (Enter)"
Select the desired submenu

Switch On mode
To toggle between the factory default and the last setting start up mode.
Print Paper
To setup a papel size of the connected thermal printer. (Default: W(79.5))
Highlight the icon Switch On Mode.
Confirm Selection with the " (Enter)".
Use the “ ” and “ ” to toggle a desired setting.
Default: Settings: set to the factory defalut
settings
Detection - On. Add - On. Batc h - Off. (Count
mode.) Auto - On.
Turn off Status: keep the last settings for the
next restart.
Confirm setting.
Press the (Enter) to confirm setting and
go back to upper layer.
Highlight the icon Print Paper.

To setup baud rate for printing out receipts. (Default: 115200)

Sensibility Tune Up
Once the devise is turned o n , press “F2” and
“Start” key together immediately.
The menu shows the current denominations each
with both MG and IR sensibility value.
The values r ange from 1 to 9 (defau lt 5) present s
the sensibility of IR / MG sensors from low to high.
Select the factor (denomination or double)
which you want to tune up
Use the “ ” and “ ” to toggle a desired
setting.

Set the vaules of sensibility.
Use the " (Move Left)", " (Move
Right)" to switch between MG / IR options.
Input the number from 1~9 to set the desired

Cleaning NC-3000
Cleaning the cover of NC-3000
Occasionally clean NC-3000 as follows:
Prepare a mixture of a gentle kitchen-use detergent (one that does not
contain abrasive powder or strong chemicals such as acid or alkaline.) Use 5
parts water to 1 part detergent.
Absorb the diluted detergent into a sponge.
Squeeze excess liquid from the sponge.
Wipe the cover with the sponge, use a circular motion and take care not to let
any excess liquid drips into the interior of the device.
Wipe the surface to remove the detergent.
Rinse the sponge with clean running water.
Wipe the over with the clean sponge.
Wipe the surface again with a dry, soft lint-free cloth.
Wait for the surface to dry completely and remove any fibers.
Cleaning the bill path of NC-3000
Open the upper bill path.
Gently wipe it or dust the bill path with a MA brush or a dry , soft lint-free cloth.
If stains remain, moisten a soft, lint-free cloth with water or a 50-50 m ixture
of isopropyl alcohol and water that does not contain impurities.
Wring out as much of the liquid as you can.
Wipe the bill path and the sensor surface again; do not let any liquid drip into
the device.
*NOTE: Avoid spraying cleaner directly on the device, and be sure to day the bill
path before closing it.

Calibration
The sensors can be easily calibrated to ensure best performance:
Turn the unit off and on again.
While the initializing indicator is running, press the keys "Cur" and "Start"
together and hold until the display showing calibration menu.
Select the desired submenu.
a. Optical – to calibrate the IR sensors.
b. Motor –to calibrate the motor speed.

Install the calibration paper (white slip) supplied with this manual and press
F3
NC-3000 Series calibrates the sensors automatically.
The display shows the result accordingly,
Any number of sensors = Repeat calibration
OK = Calibration done
On the process of calibration
Repeat step 2~3, until the display shows "OK",
After complete the calibration of white slip, install the black slip and repeat
the step 2~3 until the display shows "OK",
Once you completed the calibration, just turn the unit off, NC-3000 Series
runs in normal mode the next time you turn it on.

Select the motor calibration option and press F3
NC-3000 calibrates the motor automatically.
The motor starts to run at different speeds for calibration.
Wait till the motor stops and display shows OK.
Once you completed the calibration, just turn the unit off, NC-3000 Series
runs in normal mode the next time you turn it on.
