INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

MASTERFLEX®77300-01

REPLACEMENT GEAR KIT

1. Remove the four cover screws and cover. It will be necessary to remove or loosen the two bolts
holding the mounting plate onto the cover.

2. Remove the old gear assembly (simply pull it out). Be careful not to lose thrust washers on gear assembly.

3. Thoroughly clean the old grease out of the gear case and cover.

4. Remove the thrust washers from the old gear assembly, noting their locations.

5. Assemble the thrust washers onto the new gear assembly, in the same positions as they were on the old
assembly.

6. Insert the new nylon gear assembly into the bearing inside the gear case.

7. Grease gears, using the supplied grease, by filling teeth on gears. Apply a thin coating of grease on the
sleeve that covers the pump drive slot. (This permits the sleeve to enter the seal on the cover more
easily.)

CAUTION: Do not apply grease to shaft of gear.

8. Replace the gear cover, gasket and the four screws.

9. The drive is now ready for operation.
