SAFETY GUIDELINES:
WARNING!
Safety symbols in this instruction manual are used to flag possible dangers. The safety
symbols and their explanations require your full understanding. The safety warnings do not,
by themselves, eliminate any danger, nor are they substitutes for proper accident prevention
measures.
WARNING!
This safety alert symbol indicates caution, warning, or danger. Failure to obey a safety
warning can result in serious injury to yourself or others. To reduce the risk of injury, fire, or
electric shock, always follow the safety precautions.

GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
SAFETY GUIDELINES
WARNING!
Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions
may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
SAVE ALL WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or
battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
WORK AREA SAFETY
• Keep the work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks, which may ignite the dust or
fumes.

recharged only with the specified charger for the battery. A charger that may be suitable
for one type of battery may create a risk of fire when used with another battery.
• Use battery operated product only with specifically designated battery pack. Use of any
other batteries may create a risk of fire.
• Use only with battery and charger listed.
PERSONAL SAFETY
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better
control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
• Do not use on a ladder or unstable support. Stable footing on a solid surface enables better
control of the product in unexpected situations.
PRODUCT USE AND CARE
• Do not use the product if the switch does not turn it on or off. Any product that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
• Disconnect battery pack from product or place the switch in the locked or off position
before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the product. Such
preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the product accidentally.
SAFETY GUIDELINES
• When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like: paper
clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can make a
connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause
sparks, burns, or a fire.
• Keep the radio and its handle dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Always use a
clean cloth when cleaning. Never use brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, or any
strong solvents to clean your radio. Following this rule will reduce the risk of loss of control and
deterioration of the enclosure plastic.
• Do not use this apparatus near water.
• Clean only with dry cloth.
• Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
• Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other
apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
• Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
SERVICE
• Have your product serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR RADIO
• Know your product. Read the operator’s manual carefully. Learn the applications and
limitations, as well as the specific potential hazards related to this product. Following
this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
• Battery products do not have to be plugged into an electrical outlet; therefore, they
are always in operating condition. Be aware of possible hazards when not using your
battery product or when changing accessories. Following this rule will reduce the risk of
electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.
• Do not place battery products or their batteries near fire or heat. This will reduce the risk
of explosion and possibly injury.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not expose to water or rain.
• Do not use the radio to listen to music or other audio programs while operating
machinery. Doing so may cause distractions that could result in serious personal injury.
• This radio is capable of producing sound levels that can be dangerous to long-term
hearing. Listening to music at high volume for any period of time may cause noiseinduced hearing loss. The higher the volume, the less time required before your hearing may
be affected.
