It’s time to harvest
03
The production of arable crops has many variable factors which the grower must cope with to maximise crop yield and minimise costs.
At every point in a crop’s life cycle, critical decisions must be made to ensure production goals are met.
Harvest time is the point where all these decisions turn into actual yield; the time to see if crop potential and bottom line nancial return have been realised.
At such a crucial time, and with crop and weather variability still to cope with, the right choice of combine harvester to reap any rewards is vital.
The new CENTORA range of combines from Massey Ferguson has been designed to cope with your crops and your conditions to transfer eld potential to store actual. Minimising costs and fuss, presenting and enhancing your bottom line even when the elements and time may be against you.

PowerFlow
- A cut above the rest
Put simply, PowerFlow is the most efcient cutting table available on any combine harvester today. Since 1976, PowerFlow has been making harvest easier and more protable for its user.
Its two key features of massive knife to auger clearance and powered conveyor belts combine to give head-rst, even feed into the machine. This works with all crops, in all conditions.
With PowerFlow you can specify the following control systems:
Pre-set cutting height for effortless headland turns
Just one click to lower the table to your pre-set height. Double clicking will raise the table for perfect headland turns.
Cutting height control
Continuously adjusts the cutting height as you harvest across the eld for even stubble height. Cutting height control includes four pre-set heights.
Field pressure control
Allows the table to follow the ground contour giving the lowest possible cutting height for at crops such as peas and grass seeds, without the risk of “bulldozing” the soil. Field pressure control allows you to speed up your harvesting in difcult conditions with condence.
Auto Level table
Continuously adjusts the table left and right to ensure you follow the contours of the eld. Sloping ground or uneven elds are no obstacle to achieving maximum output.
Auto reel speed
Adjusts reel speed to ensure your selected ‘forward speed to reel speed ratio’ is maintained as you harvest.
Schumacher knife system
With the most efcient table you need a top performing knife. PowerFlow tables are tted with the Schumacher system offering
high performance with rugged durability. The ‘under and over’ cutting process gives quality cutting in all conditions.
Oilseed rape auger
An optional rape auger can be tted which increases performance in tall crops. The hydraulically driven auger is mounted above the standard auger. It allows forward speed to be increased markedly, making oilseed rape harvest extremely quick compared to normal headers.
Folding dividers can be mounted for quick turnarounds and safety. Easily tted crop lifters can be installed from their own storage position on the table when required.

High performance threshing for maximum separation

04 The high-strength, high-Inertia
three drum threshing system.
The unique design of the threshing cylinder and concave ensures maximum threshing and separation in all crops.
The cylinder has eight rasp bars mounted on backing bars. The rasp bars are reinforced to make them extremely strong and durable. This design also increases the peripheral weight of the cylinder and increases momentum, ensuring that smooth, even cropow is always maintained.
The highly permeable concave has many unique features. An additional rub bar is xed to the front of the concave which starts threshing early.
The gap between this additional bar and the rst bar on the concave is solid. This ensures a rm ‘rub’ so de-awners or ller plates are not required in difcult to thresh crops.
Simplicity with rotary separators
The rotary separator’s speed and concave clearance can be adjusted easily:
This is the heart of the machine. 95% of threshing and separation should happen here, so the design is critical.
Fast speed and close clearance for heavy straw and damp conditions are implemented to force out any trapped grains before the straw is ‘uffed’ and delivered to the straw walkers.
Alternatively a slow and wide clearance can be set in very dry, brittle straw conditions where straw quality has to be maintained.
Constant Flow for smarter operation
The key to increased output is to keep the combine fully loaded. When the crop thins, the combine needs more material to keep everything running at 100% capacity.
Constant Flow achieves this by sensing the load on the cylinder and electronically varying the combine forward speed to match the crop.
Output can be increased by up to 15% in a wide variety of crops.
