VISION INNOVATION LEADERSHIP QUALITY RELIABILITY SUPPORT PRIDE COMMITMENT
Outstanding comfort, visibility and
specication choice
Massey Ferguson Panoramic Cab tractors offer exceptional comfort and visibility with outstanding ‘driveability’ and unrivalled transmission choice. Operators work in the ultimate environment to achieve maximum productivity... and safety. Most models feature new generation styling with a tilting bonnet for easy service access, whilst MF 6445 and MF 6455 are also available with ‘steep-nose’ hood design to further aid forward visibility.
High-productivity features*
Massey Ferguson offers the ultimate transmission choice for maximum productivity with smooth, effortless operation. Any combination of speed and engine rpm is offered by the superb Dyna-VT transmission. Alternatively, the Dyna-6 mechanical semi-powershift transmission provides six clutchless steps in every gear, along with automatic changing functions.
On both transmissions, the left-hand Power Control lever gives smooth, adjustable power shuttle, clutch control and easy speed selection, from low creeper speeds right through to 50 km/h** transport speeds.
The Panoramic cab, with its completely clear view to the right-hand side, offers maximum visibility without compromising comfort. At just 70 dB(A), the cab is exceptionally quiet and offers the highest levels of comfort and control.
Full road lighting is supplemented with additional work lights including rear fog and reversing
lights, for efcient and safe
working after-dark or in adverse weather conditions.
Equipment choice extends from less linkage and hydraulics, right up to comprehensive agricultural
specications with a range of
high-capacity hydraulic systems, linkage, hitches and mechanical or electro-hydraulic spool valves.
The optional QuadLinkTM suspended front axle and ‘dual stage’ cab suspension further enhance the driving experience and help to maximise productivity.

Panoramic Cab: Ultimate visibility with maximum control
The Panoramic cab’s 140° wide, polycarbonate screen with no B-post on the righthand side provides a completely clear view of side-mounted implements.
The one-piece side screen is 8mm thick and extremely tough
to protect the operator from ying
debris. A special anti-scratch coating and dedicated wash/wipe system maintain excellent visibility in all conditions. A retractable
sunblind, tted as standard, folds
away onto the front cab pillar when not required. Front and rear visibility is also outstanding, as is the view above when the Visio-roof
is specied.
Steep-nose bonnet
The Visio-roof option, which enhances the overhead view, is also the perfect match for the high-visibility, steep-nose bonnet option available for the MF 6445 and MF 6455. This combination is an ideal partnership for front loader or snow clearing applications by providing an extra two metres of useful visibility ahead of the tractor.
There’s also no compromise on cab comfort, when specifying the Visio-roof, because it is purposebuilt and incorporates full airconditioning and ventilation.
All-round lighting
The excellent standard lighting is enhanced with a range of additional work lights. At the front of the tractor, four roofmounted work lights supplement the headlights. On the right-hand side there is a powerful work light mounted on an adjustable, extended arm and at the rear of the tractor there is an additional fog lamp and reversing light.
For local authority and road working operation, brackets and wiring are available and enable
easy tting of a roof-mounted ‘tri-ash’ hazard warning triangle.

Panoramic Cab: Ultimate visibility with maximum control
Comfort, productivity and safety go hand in hand. So the Massey Ferguson Panoramic Cab tractors are designed to tackle long working hours, whatever the temperature, the terrain or the task.
06
High specication seats
The high specication, swivelling
seat is fully adjustable to help reduce back pain. It includes a lumbar support and mechanical height adjustment. In addition, there is a height and aft adjustment for the right-hand armrest, ensuring the armrest controls are positioned perfectly.
Options include pneumatic height adjustment or a super de-luxe seat with double pneumatic lumbar support, heating and ‘active carbon’ seat covering for greater comfort in really hot conditions.
QuadLink suspension
Available as an option, Massey Ferguson’s ‘QuadLink’ suspended front axle further enhances ride comfort and control. It has a compact, simple design
that automatically maintains a constant suspension height, regardless of axle load. The result is increased stability and a
signicant improvement in driver
comfort, productivity and safety.
Operator-controlled QuadLink is operator-controlled so you can switch it on or off as required.
For example, when working in a
conned space with a loader or
with pallet forks, where height control must be precise, it is a real advantage to be able to deactivate the system.
Dual Stage suspended cab
To provide the ultimate in ride comfort, Massey Ferguson’s cab suspension system can also be
specied. The design features
‘dual stage’ air suspension that
can be adjusted, at the ick of a switch, between two ride rmness settings to suit eld or road
working conditions.
This unique operator-controlled system stabilises cab movement more effectively and also has fewer mechanical links between the cab and transaxle, so noise insulation is also improved.
Simple, precise controls
Most of the frequently used controls are grouped to the right, either armrest-mounted or on the right-hand console. All of the controls are large and easy-to-operate and all activate with satisfying precision. Many of the tractors’ functions are automated or semi-automated to reduce repetitive tasks and simplify operation.

Power in reserve plus outstanding fuel economy
All models are powered by either Perkins or AGCO SISU POWER, Tier lll emissions-compliant engines, featuring common rail fuel injection and 4-valve cylinder head design. They deliver high power and torque and work in perfect harmony with the highly
efcient Dyna-6 and Dyna-VT transmissions to give outstanding
performance in a wide range of applications, with excellent fuel economy.
Advanced Electronic Engine Management
The Electronic Engine Management system (EEM) controls not only the very precise common rail fuel injection, but also enables a range of advanced engine control functions, including Power Boost and Engine Speed Control.
PTO/Transport boost
On MF 6400 models, in PTO and Transport applications, EEM
automatically gives a signicant
power and torque ‘boost’ (see
specications, Page 25). This means
relaxed operation and fewer gear changes even on steep gradients and uneven load conditions.
Engine Speed Control
Switches mounted conveniently on the right-hand console enable two engine speeds to be pre-set and memorised*.
The ability to return quickly and easily to precise engine speeds will
boost productivity, improve work quality and simplify operation in almost all of your daily tasks.
Improved fuel economy
Electronic engine management constantly monitors a wide range of parameters and makes continual
and incredibly ne adjustments to
fuel injection. Combined with fourvalve cylinder head design and common rail fuel injection, this has
given signicant improvements in
both emissions and fuel economy.
Whilst lowering the absolute
Specic Fuel Consumption (SFC) gure is important, the graph (on
the page opposite) shows how the latest engines achieve lower fuel consumption over a much wider range of operating conditions.
Common rail fuel injection
The common rail fuel injection system gives a faster response to changes in working conditions and engine load. It also gives more
power and torque over a wider engine speed range, excellent fuel economy and lower noise and emissions.
Four valves per cylinder
The cylinder head design features two inlet valves and two exhaust valves per cylinder, enabling the fuel injectors to be centrally positioned in the cylinder head.
This design improves fuel/air
mixture and gas ow, giving
optimum fuel combustion and reducing emissions and fuel consumption, whilst also improving engine reliability by reducing upper cylinder temperature. The more
efcient combustion also improves
torque characteristics throughout the whole working range.
