The spacious operator’s platform
features a semi-at oor with
easy access from both sides.
A fully adjustable spring
suspension seat allows the

A spacious, factory-tted cab

the MF 1540 and MF 1547 models.
Third party supplied cabs are
available for all other machines.
Designed with the operator in mind, the MF 1500 Series offers a
modern driving environment with ergonomically-positioned controls
and a fully adjustable driving position – in fact, everything the
operator needs for safe, productive working.

All main controls are positioned for
ease of use and accessibility, while
the instrument panel provides a
comprehensive and clear display
of all the information the driver
needs to operate the tractor safely
and efciently. Colour-coded
controls and switches, together
with warning lights and gauges,
are easily viewed and interpreted,
allowing complete control of both
machine and task in hand.
Power assisted steering – standard
on all models – makes for
effortless manoeuvring.
With the DynaQPS transmission
option, an enhanced analogue/
digital instrument panel is tted,
providing clear information on
PTO, forward speed and range,
and gear selection. The driving
position, tapering bonnet and
horizontal exhaust combine to
provide excellent visibility and all
models are tted with road lighting
to allow urgent tasks to be
completed after dark.

Transmission options
The MF1519 is specied with a
mechanical 6F/2R transmission.
This features 3 speeds and a
reverse on one lever with a high
and low range controlled by a
second lever. It’s simple to use,
provides a choice of ratios for eld
and road applications.
The MF 1523 features a
hydrostatic transmission that
offers an innite choice of speeds
to match the work you are doing.
With a high and low range to
choose from, the direction of travel
is controlled by pushing either the
forward or the backwards foot
pedal. In the forward direction
the speed can be ‘locked’ with a
cruise control lever. This lets you
relax your feet on the platform
oor and focus on steering the
tractor, on a job like mowing
grass for example.
The MF 1531 has a hydrostatic
transmission as standard. It
operates in the same way but
has three ranges for greater
versatility. If you need a hydrostatic
transmission but with more power,
a three range version can also be
specied on the MF 1540 and
on the MF 1547.
The MF 1529 and MF 1532
are specied with an 8F/8R
mechanical transmission. Two
levers situated close to the
operator’s left hand, control four
main gears and the two ranges
available. Both levers operate in
a straight line so gear selection
is sequential; 1-2-3-4 or Hi and
Low. This means it is exceptionally
easy to use. To the left of the
steering column a ‘shuttle’ lever
lets you select direction of travel,
forward↔reverse. A creeper gear
set is available for the 8F/8R
transmission and provides a third
range of very slow speeds.
The MF 1540 and MF 1547 (as
well as being specied with a
hydrostatic transmission) can
have a full 12F/12R mechanical
transmission. This features four
main gears available in three
ranges, to make the twelve
speeds and includes a mechanical
forward↔reverse ‘shuttle’ control
to the left of the steering column.
Both the MF 1540 and
MF 1547 can be specied with our
DynaQPS transmission. This has a
push button, four speed Powershift
(clutchless) in each of the three
ranges. It takes variable gradients
and load conditions in its stride.
Just press the buttons on the
range change lever for smooth, onthe-go changes. To the left of the
steering column a lever controls
the clutchless PowerShuttle.

Fully-equipped 3-point linkage
A high capacity three-point
linkage is standard equipment on
all MF 1500 models and, with lift
capacities up to 1580kg, there’s
plenty of power to handle a host
of applications.
Versatile hydraulics
A high performance hydraulic
system, with up to 43.8 litres/min
of oil ow, provides all the ow and
pressure needed to operate a wide
range of implements efciently.
Mid and rear PTO power
To make the most of such a wide
range of accessories, all MF 1500
tractors are equipped with either
a mechanical or an independent
rear PTO. A mid-mounted PTO
comes as standard on models
with hydrostatic transmissions
and is available as an option
on mechanical and DynaQPS
transmission tractors.
The rear PTO is very easy to use
and provides 540 or 540/1000 rpm
speeds. The mid-mounted PTO
option generates up to 2000 rpm
which makes it ideal for when a
high quality nish is required
from mowing decks.
With independent rear PTO a
Soft Start function allows a gentle
take-up of the PTO drive for high
inertia loads or a quicker take-up
for lighter loads, helping to protect
both tractor and implement (not
MF 1523).
