3.1 Introduction

Congratulations on your purchase of the Marmitek Split 612 UHD 2.0™! This active HDMI splitter connects 2 TVs or projectors with a single HDMI source. Unlike passive HDMI splitters, it can do this without any loss of signal or encryption, while maintaining optimal image quality. It's also ideal for use with HDMI Extenders, for example, to another room. The Split 612 UHD 2.0™ supports Ultra HD (4k), Full HD (1080p) and all 3D formats, making it suitable for all your existing and future equipment.

All our products are designed and manufactured to the highest quality requirements. Please read this manual first and follow the instructions in order to fully enjoy the possibilities of this product.

3.2 Benefits

console or Blu-ray player to be simultaneously displayed on 2 TVs or projectors.

x Eliminates the need to change HDMI cables if you want to watch films or play

games on another TV.

x With built-in repeater and equaliser to correct any signal loss. x If required, set the HDMI output's maximum video resolution using the unique

EDID switch.

x Supports HDCP 2.2 for playing protected 4K Ultra HD content

3.3 HDMI properties

x The maximum throughput speed is 18 Gbit/s (gigabits per second). This

allows HDMI 2.0 to display Ultra HD 4K images at 60 fps (frames per second).

x Suitable for the latest Ultra HD 4K60 resolution (3840 x 2160 / 60Hz), High

Dynamic Range (HDR), Deep Color and 4:4:4 chroma colours.

x Supports all 3D formats (suitable for use with your own 3D equipment) x Deep Color 36-bit (billions instead of millions of colours, better reproduction of

subtle differences in gradation and a higher contrast ratio).

4 Getting started

4.1 Before installation:

x Turn off all devices (TV and HDMI sources) before connecting them to the

Split 612 UHD 2.0™. If a device cannot be turned off, please remove the plug from the socket.

x Only use High Speed HDMI® certified cables for the best picture and sound

quality. Using too much force to connect or disconnect the HDMI cables may damage them.

x Please be careful when connecting your HDMI cables. These damage easily.

4.2 Installation

1 Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI source (such as a game console,

Blu-ray player or digital TV decoder) to the HDMI port marked "Input".

2 Use an HDMI cable to connect the TV or projector to the HDMI ports marked

“Output”.

3 Preferably, connect the TV or projector with the highest resolution (e.g.

UltraHD) to "Output 1" and those with a lower resolution (e.g. Full HD) to "Output 2".

4 Connect the power adapter to the "DC 5V" input and insert the plug into the

socket.

5 Use

5.1 EDID

EDID stands for Extended Display Identification Data and is used for communication between HDMI sources and TVs, enabling you to determine the supported display resolutions and audio formats. The HDMI source requests this information from the TV and determines the best resolution or audio format. When using multiple TVs (TVs or projectors), the best resolution and audio format that is supported by all connected TVs is determined. This may cause problems in some situations, for example, when one of the connected sources or TVs does not fully support EDID.

5.2 EDID Auto or Copy 1

Use the EDID button to choose the following options:

x AUTO: automatically detects the highest possible common image resolution

and audio format that is supported by both TVs. Sound and image will be displayed on both TVs.

x COPY 1: only detects the resolution and audio format of the display

connected to "Output 1". This prevents problems with playing, for example, 3D or UltraHD (4k).

Tip: In standard situations, always use the automatic setting, which will result in sound and image on all connected TVs. With manual settings, no image or sound may be displayed on one or more TVs if the appropriate setting is not supported

No (or poor) image and sound

If you experience poor or no picture after connecting the HDMI splitter, please try to identify the problem by connecting the devices to your TV, monitor or projector one by one. This allows you to determine whether the problem is with the HDMI sources, the HDMI cables, the HDMI splitter or the TV.

x Make sure the power adapter is connected and plugged in. x For the best picture and sound quality, only use High Speed HDMI® certified

cables.

x Do not use HDMI cables longer than those specified in the technical data. x Check the HDMI cables and/or connectors for damage. x Both the HDMI source and your TV should fully support HDMI. x Check that your HDMI sources and TV support HDCP 2.2 (High Bandwidth

Digital Content Protection) copy protection.

Incorrect 3D display

x Please check whether the HDMI source is set to display 3D and/or it is set to

automatic.

x Both the HDMI source and your HDTV should support the same 3D formats. x Please check that 3D is displayed correctly by connecting the HDMI source

directly to the HD display with an HDMI cable.

3.1 Einführung

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Erwerb Ihres Marmitek Split 612 UHD 2.0™! Dieser aktive HDMI Splitter verbindet 2 Bildschirme (TV oder Projektor) mit einer HDMI Quelle. Im Gegensatz zu passiven HDMI Splittern geschieht dies ohne jeglichen Signal- oder Verschlüsselungsverlust und unter Beibehaltung optimaler Bildqualität. Auch ideal für die Verwendung kombiniert mit HDMI Verlängerungen (z.B. in einen anderen Raum). Der Split 612 UHD 2.0™ unterstützt Ultra HD (4k), Full HD (1080p) und alle 3D Formate und eignet sich somit für alle heutigen und zukünftigen Geräte.

Alle von Marmitek entwickelten und hergestellten Produkte entsprechen den höchsten Qualitätsanforderungen. Lesen Sie diese Anleitung bitte sorgfältig durch und befolgen Sie die Anweisungen, um die Möglichkeiten dieses Produkts optimal nutzen zu können.

3.2 Vorzüge

x Profitieren Sie von den neuesten Ultra HD Inhalten und sehen Sie Netflix oder

Blu-Ray Filme in 4K auf 2 Fernsehern oder Projektoren ohne jeglichen Kontrastverlust und in wunderbaren Farben.

x Das HDMI Kabel muss nicht mehr ausgetauscht werden, wenn Sie Filme sehen

4 Los geht’s

4.1 Bevor Sie beginnen

x Schalten Sie alle Geräte (Fernseher und HDMI Quellen) bevor Sie diese an den

Split 612 UHD 2.0™ anschließen zunächst aus. Entfernen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, falls diese nicht ausgeschaltet werden können.

x Verwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und Tonqualität ausschließlich

High Speed HDMI® zertifizierte Kabel. Verwenden Sie wenig Kraft, um die HDMI Kabel anzuschließen oder loszukoppeln; diese könnten sonst beschädigen.

x Lassen Sie während des Anschließens Ihrer HDMI Kabel Vorsicht walten. Diese

können schnell beschädigen.

4.2 Installation

1. Schließen Sie die HDMI Quelle (wie Spielkonsole, Blu-Ray Player oder digitalen

TV Decoder) mit einem HDMI Kabel an den HDMI Anschluss mit der Aufschrift “Input“ an.

2. Schließen Sie Fernseher oder Projektoren mit einem HDMI Kabel an den HDMI

Anschluss mit der Aufschrift “Output“ an.

3. Schließen Sie vorzugsweise den Fernseher oder Projektor mit der höchsten

Auflösung (z.B. Utra HD) an den “Output 1" und mit einer geringeren Auflösung (z.B. Full HD) an den “Output 2“ Anschluss an.

4. Schließen Sie den Speisungsadapter an den “DC 5V“ Eingang an und verbinden

Sie diesen mit der Steckdose.

5 Verwendung

5.1 EDID

EDID bedeutet Extended Display Identification Data und wird für die Kommunikation zwischen HDMI Quellen und Bildschirmen verwendet, um die unterstützten Bildauflösungen und Audioformate zu bestimmen. Die HDMI Quelle ruft diese Informationen vom Bildschirm ab und bestimmt die beste Auflösung oder das beste Audioformat. Bei Verwendung mehrerer Bildschirme (Fernseher oder Projektoren) wird bestimmt, welche die beste Auflösung oder das beste Audioformat ist, .die von allen angeschlossenen Bildschirmen unterstützt wird. Das kann bisweilen zu Problemen führen, beispielsweise wenn eine der angeschlossenen Quellen oder Bildschirme EDID nicht korrekt unterstützt.

5.2 EDID Auto oder Copy 1

Mithilfe der EDID-Tate können Sie folgende Einstellungen wählen:

x AUTO: Sucht automatisch die höchstmögliche, gemeinschaftliche Bildauflösung

und das Audioformat, das von beiden Bildschirmen unterstützt wird. Auf beiden Bildschirmen wird Bild und Ton wiedergegeben werden.

x COPY 1: Sucht nur die Auflösung und das Audioformat des Bildschirms, das an

den “Output 1“ angeschlossen ist. Damit begegnen Sie Abspielproblemen von

zum Beispiel 3D oder UltraHD (4k).

Tipp: Verwenden Sie in Standardsituationen immer die Einstellung Automatisch. Auf allen angeschlossenen Bildschirmen wird Bild und Ton wiedergegeben werden. Bei manueller Einstellung kann es passieren, dass Sie auf 1. oder mehreren Bildschirmen kein Bild oder keinen Ton empfangen, wenn die Einstellung nicht unterstützt wird.

Kein (oder schlechtes) Bild und Ton

Wenn Sie nach dem Anschließen des HDMI Switch kein, oder ein schlechtes Bild empfangen, versuchen Sie dann die Geräte Stück für Stück an Ihren Schirm anzuschließen (TV, Monitor oder Projektor), um zu sehen, wo das Problem liegt. Auf diese Art können Sie ermitteln ob es an den HDMI Quellen, den HDMI Kabeln, dem HDMI Switch oder dem Schirm liegt. x Überprüfen Sie, ob der Speisungsadaptor angeschlossen ist und sich in der

Steckdose befindet.

x Verwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und Tonqualität ausschließlich

High Speed HDMI® zertifizierte Kabel.

x Verwenden Sie keine HDMI Kabel, die länger sind als in den technischen Daten

aufgeführt.

x Überprüfen Sie die HDMI Kabel und/oder Anschlüsse auf Beschädigungen. x Sowohl die HDMI Quelle wie Ihr Bildschirm muss HDMI vollständig unterstützen. x Prüfen Sie, ob Ihre HDMI Quellen und Bildschirm das Verschlüsselungssystem

Keine korrekte 3D Wiedergabe

x Sowohl die HDMI Quelle wie Ihr HD Bildschirm müssen dieselben 3D Daten

unterstützen.

x Überprüfen Sie, ob 3D korrekt wiedergegeben wird, indem Sie die HDMI Quelle

mit einem HDMI Kabel direkt an den HD Bildschirm anschließen.

3.1 Introduction

Félicitations pour l'achat du Marmitek Split 612 UHD 2.0™ ! Ce répartiteur HDMI actif relie 2 écrans (téléviseur ou projecteur) avec une seule source HDMI. Contrairement aux répartiteurs HDMI passifs cela peut être réalisé sans aucune perte de signal ou de cryptage tout en conservant une qualité d'image optimale. Le répartiteur est également idéal pour une utilisation en combinaison avec une rallonge HDMI vers, par exemple, une autre pièce. Le Split 612 UHD 2.0™ est compatible avec Ultra HD (4k), Full HD (1080p) et tous les formats 3D et convient de ce fait pour tous vos appareils existants et futurs.

Tous nos produits sont conçus et fabriqués selon les exigences de qualité les plus élevées. Veuillez lire au préalable ce manuel d'utilisation et suivez les instructions afin que vous puissiez profiter de façon optimale des possibilités de ce produit.

4.1 Conseils d'installation

x Eteignez tous les appareils (téléviseur et sources HDMI) avant de les connecter

au Split 612 UHD 2.0™. S'il n'est pas possible de les éteindre, débranchez la prise de courant.

x Utilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés HDMI® High Speed pour obtenir la

meilleure qualité d'image et de son. Ne forcez pas pour connecter ou déconnecter les câbles HDMI, autrement cela pourrait les endommager.

x Soyez prudent lorsque vous connectez les câbles HDMI. Ils peuvent être

facilement endommagés.

4.2 Installation

1. Connectez la source HDMI (telle que console de jeux, lecteur Blu-ray ou

décodeur TV numérique) avec un câble HDMI sur le port HDMI avec l'inscription “Input”.

2. Connectez les téléviseurs ou les projecteurs avec un câble HDMI sur les ports

HDMI avec l'inscription “Output”.

3. Connectez de préférence le téléviseur ou le projecteur avec la plus haute

résolution (par exemple Ultra HD) sur “Output 1” et celui avec une résolution plus faible (par exemple Full HD) sur “Output 2”.

4. Connectez l'adaptateur secteur sur l’entrée “DC 5V” et branchez la fiche dans la

prise de courant.

5 Utilisation

5.1 EDID

EDID signifie Extended Display Identification Data (Données Étendues d'Identification d'Affichage) et il est utilisé pour la communication entre les sources HDMI et les écrans afin de déterminer les résolutions d'images et les formats audio pris en charge. La source HDMI demande ces informations à l'écran et détermine la meilleure résolution ou le meilleur format audio. Lorsqu'on utilise plusieurs écrans (téléviseurs ou projecteurs) la meilleure résolution et le meilleur format audio, pris en charge par tous les écrans connectés, sont déterminés. Dans certains cas cela peut causer des problèmes, par exemple lorsque l'une des sources ou l'un des écrans connectés ne supporte pas bien l'EDID.

5.2 EDID Auto ou Copie 1

Le bouton EDID vous permet d'effectuer le choix suivant.

x AUTO : détecte automatiquement la plus haute résolution d'image commune et le

format audio pris en charge par les deux écrans. L'image et le son seront restitués sur les deux écrans.

x COPY 1 : détecte uniquement la résolution et le format audio de l'écran qui est

connecté sur “Output 1” (Sortie “HDMI 1”). Cela vous permet d'éviter les

problèmes lors de la lecture d'images 3D ou UltraHD (4k), par exemple.

Conseil : Dans des conditions normales utilisez toujours le mode automatique ; l'image et le son seront restitués sur tous les écrans connectés. Dans le cas de réglages manuels il se peut que l'image et le son ne soient pas restitués sur 1 ou plusieurs écrans si le réglage concerné n'est pas pris en charge.

Pas d'image (ou image de mauvaise qualité) ni de son

Si après avoir connecté le commutateur HDMI vous n'avez pas d'image ou l'image est de mauvaise qualité, essayez de trouver la cause du problème en connectant les appareils l'un après l'autre à votre écran (téléviseur, moniteur ou projecteur). Vous pourrez ainsi déterminer si le problème provient des sources HDMI, des câbles HDMI, du commutateur HDMI ou de l'écran. x Assurez-vous que l'adaptateur secteur soit connecté et branché dans la prise de

courant.

x Utilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés HDMI® High Speed pour obtenir la

meilleure qualité d'image et de son.

x N'utilisez pas de câbles HDMI qui soient plus longs que ce qui est spécifié dans

les caractéristiques techniques.

Felicidades por la compra del Marmitek Split 612 UHD 2.0™! Este splitter HDMI activo conecta 2 pantallas (TV o proyector) con una fuente HDMI. En comparación con Splitters HDMI pasivos, el Splitter activo realiza la transmisión sin pérdida de señal o encriptación, manteniendo la calidad superior de la imagen. Perfecto para el uso en combinación con extensiones HDMI, por ejemplo para transmitir la señal a otra habitación. El Split 612 UHD 2.0™ es compatible con Ultra HD (4k), Full HD (1080p) y cada formato de 3D y es apto para cada dispositivo actual y futuro.

4 Primeros pasos

4.1 Consejos para la instalación

x Aapaga todos los dispositivos (TV y fuentes HDMI) antes de conectarlos con el

Split 612 UHD 2.0™. Si no se pueden apagar, desenchufa el cable de la toma de corriente.

x Usa exclusivamente cables certificados para High Speed HDMI® para recibir una

calidad superior de imagen y sondido. Conecta y desconecta los cables HDMI con mucho cuidado para no dañarlos.

x Tenga cuidado con la conexión de los cables HDMI, se estropean fácilmente.

4.2 Instalación

1. Conecta la fuente HDMI (como videoconsola, reproductor bluray o decodificador

de TV digital) con el puerto HDMI indicado como “Input” empleando un cable

HDMI.

2. Conecta los televisores o proyectores con los puertos HDMI indicados como

“Output” empleando un cable HDMI.

3. Conecta preferentemente el TV o proyector con la resolución más alta (p.e. Ultra

HD) con “Output 1” y el TV con una resolución más baja (p.e. Full HD) con “Output 2”.

4. Conecta el adaptador de alimentación con la entrada “DC 5V” y enchufa en la

toma de corriente.

5 Uso

5.1 EDID

EDID signífica “Extended Display Identification Data“ y se usa para la comunicación

entre las fuentes HDMI y las pantallas para determinar las resoluciones de imagen y los compatibles formatos de audio. La fuente HDMI solicita esta información de la pantalla y determina cuales son la mejor resolución o el mejor formato de audio. Cuando se emplean varias pantallas (TVs o proyectores) se determinan la resolución y el formato de audio cuales son compatibles con todas las pantallas conectadas. Alguna vez esto puede causar problemas, por ejemplo cuando una de las pantallas o una de las fuentes conectadas no es compatible con el EDID.

5.2 EDID Auto o Copy 1

Con el botón de EDID puede seleccionar las siguientes funciones.

x AUTO: detecta automáticamente la más alta resolución de imagen y el mejor

formato de audio con los que ambas pantallas están compatibles. Imagen y sonido se reproducen en las dos pantallas.

x COPY: detecta solamente la resolución y el formato de audio de la pantalla que

está conectada con “Output 1”. De esta manera se evitan problemas con p.e. la

reproducción de 3D o UltraHD (4k).

Consejo: en situaciones estándares siempre hay que usar el ajuste automático para que la imagen y el sonido se reproduzcan en todas las pantallas conectadas. Cuando ajusta manualmente, la imagen o el sonido no se reproducen el las pantallas que no son compatibles con el ajuste elegido.

No hay imagen y sonido o son de calidad inferior

Cuando no hay imagen después de haber conectado el Conmutador HDMI o cuando la imagen es de calidad inferior, intenta encontrar la causa conectando cada dispositivo individualmente con la pantalla (TV, monitor o proyectór). De esta manera se detecta si el problema es causado por las fuentes HDMI, los cables HDMI, el conmutador HDMI o la pantalla.

x Controla si el adaptador de alimentación está enchufado. x Emplea exclusivamente cables certificados de High Speed HDMI® para una

calidad superior de imagen y sonido.

x No emplea cables HDMI más largos que indicado en las especificaciones de los

datos técnicos.

x Controla si ninguno de los cables y/o conectores está dañado. x Es necesario que tanto la fuente HDMI como las pantallas son compatibles con el

HDMI.

x Controla si las fuentes HDMI y las pantallas son copatibles con la seguridad

El 3D no se reproduce correctamente

3.1 Introduzione

Congratulazioni per l’acquisto del Marmitek Split 612 UHD 2.0™! Questo splitter HDMI attivo collega 2 schermi (televisore o proiettore) ad una sorgente HDMI. Al contrario degli splitter HDMI passivi, questo è possibile senza perdita di

segnale o crittografia pur mantentendo una qualità ottimale dell’immagine. Ideale anche per l’uso con estensori HDMI, per esempio in un’altra stanza. Lo

Split 612 UHD 2.0™ supporta Ultra HD (4k), Full HD (1080p) e tutti i formati 3D ed è adatto per tutte le apparecchiature esistenti e future.

Tutti i nostri prodotti sono stati progettati e fabbricati secondo i più elevati standard qualitativi. Prima si prega di leggere con attenzione questo manuale e seguire le istruzioni per godere appieno le potenzialità di questo prodotto.

3.2 Vantaggi

x Godere il contenuto più recente Ultra HD e guardare Netflix o un film Blu-ray in 4K

su due televisori o proiettori, pur mantenendo il constrasto ottimale ed i colori splendidi.

3.3 Caratteristiche HDMI

x La capacità di trasferimento massima è di 18 Gbit/s (gigabit al secondo). Grazie a

ciò l’HDMI 2.0 può riprodurre immagini in 4K Ultra HD a 60 fps (fotogrammi al

secondo).

x Adatto per l'ultima risoluzione HD Ultra 4K60 (3840 x 2160/60 Hz), High Dynamic

Range (HDR), Deep Color e 4: 4: 4 colori chroma.

x Deep Color 36-bit, (miliardi invece di milioni colori, una migliore riproduzione delle

sottili differenze di gradazione e un rapporto di contrasto più elevato).

4 Per iniziare

4.1 Consigli per l’installazione

x Prima spegnere tutte le apparecchiature (TV e sorgenti HDMI) e poi collegarle al

Split 612 UHD 2.0™. Quando non è possibile spegnerle, rimuovere la spina dalla presa.

x Utilizzare solo i cavi omologati High Speed HDMI® per la migliore qualità audio e

video. Utilizzare poca forza per collegare o scollegare i cavi HDMI di modo che non saranno danneggiati.

x Fare attenzione quando si collegano i cavi HDMI. Questi possono essere

facilmente danneggiati.

4.2 Installazione

1. Collegare la sorgente HDMI (come console videogiochi, lettore blu-ray o decoder

tv digitale) con un cavo HDMI alla porta HDMI indicata con “Input”.

2. Collegare i televisori o proiettori con un cavo HDMI alle porte HDMI indicate con

“Output”.

3. Preferibilmente collegare il televisore o proiettore con la risoluzione più alta (per

esempio Ultra HD) alla porta “Output 1” e con una risoluzione più bassa (per esempio Full HD) alla porta “Output 2”.

4. Collegare l’alimentatore all’ingresso “DC 5V” ed inserire la spina nella presa.

5 Uso

5.1 EDID

EDID è l’acronimo per Extended Display Identification Data e viene utilizzato per la comunicazione tra le sorgenti HDMI e gli schermi, per determinare le risoluzioni

dell’immagine ed i formati audio. La sorgente HDMI chiede queste informazioni allo

schermo e determina la migliore risoluzione o formato audio. In caso di più schermi (televisori o proiettori) viene determinato quale risoluzione o formato audio viene supportato da tutti gli schermi collegati. In alcune situazioni questo può causare problemi, per esempio quando una delle sorgenti o schermi collegati non supporta bene EDID.

5.2 EDID Auto o Copy 1

Tramite il tasto EDID si può scegliere tra

x AUTO: rileva automaticamente la massima risoluzione d’immagine comune

possibile e il formato audio supportato da entrambi gli schermi. Su entrambi gli schermi saranno riprodotti segnali audio e video.

x COPY 1: rileva solo la risoluzione e il formato audio dello schermo collegato

all’uscita “Output 1”. Questo previene problemi con la riproduzione di per esempio 3D o UltraHD (4k).

Consiglio: in situazioni tipo sempre utilizzare la modalità automatica, in tal modo saranno riprodotti immagine e suono su tutti gli schermi. In caso di impostazioni manuali può essere che su uno o più schermi non viene riprodotta l’immagine o il suono se non viene supportata la relativa impostazione.

Mancano l'immagine ed il suono o sono di cattiva qualità

Nel caso che dopo il collegamento del commutatore HDMI manchi l'immagine o sia di cattiva qualità, cercare di risolvere il problema collegando uno per uno le apparecchiature allo schermo (televisore, monitor o proiettore). In tal modo è possibile determinare se il problema si trova nelle sorgenti HDMI, nei cavi HDMI, nel commutatore HDMI o nello schermo. x Controllare se l’adattatore di alimentazione è stato collegato ed inserito nella

presa di corrente.

x Per la migliore qualità di immagini e suono usare solo cavi omologati High Speed

HDMI®.

x Non usare cavi HDMI più lunghi di quanto indicato nei dati tecnici. x Controllare se i cavi e/o connettori HDMI non sono stati danneggiati. x Sia la sorgente HDMI che lo schermo devono supportare interamente HDMI. x Controllare se le sorgenti HDMI e lo schermo supportano la protezione anticopia

Gefeliciteerd met de aankoop van de Marmitek Split 612 UHD 2.0™! Deze actieve HDMI splitter verbindt 2 tv’s of projectors met één HDMI bron. In tegenstelling tot passieve HDMI splitters kan dit zonder enig signaal- of encryptieverlies en met behoud van optimale beeldkwaliteit. De Split 612 UHD

2.0™ ondersteunt Ultra HD (4k), Full HD (1080p) en alle 3D formaten en is

daarmee geschikt voor al uw bestaande en toekomstige apparatuur.

4 Aan de slag

4.1 Tips voor installatie

x Schakel alle apparatuur (tv en HDMI bronnen) eerst uit voordat u deze

aansluit op de Split 612 UHD 2.0™. Indien deze niet uitgeschakeld kunnen worden verwijder dan de stekker uit het stopcontact.

x Gebruik uitsluitend High Speed HDMI® gecertificeerde kabels voor de beste

beeld- en geluidskwaliteit.

x Wees voorzichtig tijdens het aansluiten van uw HDMI kabels. Deze kunnen

makkelijk beschadigd raken.

4.2 Installatie

1 Sluit de HDMI bron (zoals spelcomputer, blu-ray speler of digitale tv decoder)

met een HDMI kabel aan op de HDMI poort waarbij “Input” staat.

2 Sluit de tv’s of projectors met een HDMI kabel aan op de HDMI poorten

waarbij staat “Output”.

3 Sluit bij voorkeur de tv of projector met de hoogste resolutie (bijvoorbeeld

Ultra HD) aan op “Output 1” en met een lagere resolutie (bijvoorbeeld Full HD) aan op “Output 2”.

4 Sluit de voedingsadapter aan op de “DC 5V” ingang en steek de stekker in het

stopcontact.

5 Gebruik

5.1 EDID

EDID staat voor Extended Display Identification Data en deze wordt gebruikt voor communicatie tussen HDMI bronnen en tv’s of projectors om de ondersteunde beeldresoluties en audio formaten te bepalen. De HDMI bron vraagt aan de tv of projector deze informatie op en bepaalt de beste resolutie of audio formaat. Bij gebruik van meerdere tv’s of projectors wordt bepaald wat de beste resolutie en audio formaat is die door alle aangesloten tv’s wordt ondersteund. In sommige situaties kan dat problemen veroorzaken, bijvoorbeeld wanneer één van de aangesloten bronnen of tv’s EDID niet goed ondersteunt.

5.2 EDID Auto of Copy 1

Met behulp van de EDID knop kunt u de volgende keuze maken. x AUTO: detecteert automatisch de hoogst mogelijke gemeenschappelijke

beeldresolutie en audio formaat die door beide tv’s wordt ondersteund. Op beide tv’s zal beeld en geluid weergegeven worden.

x COPY 1: detecteert alleen de resolutie en audio formaat van de tv dat

aangesloten is op “Output 1”. Hiermee voorkomt u problemen met het afspelen van bijvoorbeeld 3D of Ultra HD (4k).

Geen (of slecht) beeld en geluid

Indien u slecht of geen beeld ervaart na het aansluiten van de HDMI splitter, probeer dan het probleem te achterhalen door de apparaten één voor één aan te sluiten op uw tv’s of projectors. Op deze manier kunt u bepalen of het probleem zich bevindt in de HDMI bronnen, de HDMI kabels, de HDMI splitter of de tv.

x Controleer of de voedingsadapter is aangesloten en in het stopcontact zit. x Gebruik uitsluitend High Speed HDMI® gecertificeerde kabels voor de beste
