Please read these instructions thoroughly before you use the device and keep
them for future reference.

• Only for indoor use.

• Do not use the product in a damp environment or near water.

• Do not expose the product to extremely high or low temperatures, strong light

sources or direct sunlight.

• This product is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.

• Connect the adapter to the mains only after you have verified that the line voltage

corresponds to the value specified on the type plates.

• Never connect a power adapter if it's damaged. In such cases, please contact
your supplier.

• Disconnect the AC/DC power adapter from the mains when this device is not in
use for prolonged time.

• Never open the product: the device may contain parts with deadly voltage.

3 Your product

3.1 Introduction

Congratulations on your purchase of the Marmitek Connect 542 UHD™.
This HDMI matrix switcher allows you to connect 4 HDMI sources to 2 displays (TV or
projector), without any loss of signal or encryption. This is ideal when, for example, you
want to send the signal to another room, using, for example, an HDMI Extender.
Examples of HDMI sources are: game consoles, such as a PlayStation or Xbox, a Blu­ray player, a digital TV decoder and all other HDMI devices.

The Connect 542 UHD™ supports Ultra HD (4k60), Full HD (1080p) and all 3D

formats, making it suitable for all your existing and future equipment. All our products
are designed and manufactured to the highest quality requirements.

3.2 Benefits

• Supports Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and all other common audio

formats.

• If required, set the HDMI output's maximum video resolution using the unique

4 Getting started

4.1 Installation tips

• Turn off all devices (TV and HDMI sources) before connecting them to the
Connect 542 UHD™. If a device cannot be turned off, please remove its plug from

the wall socket.

• For the best image and audio quality, only use High Speed HDMI® certified
cables.

• Please be careful when connecting your HDMI cables. These can damage easily.

1. Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI sources (such as a game console, Blu-

ray player or digital TV decoder) to the HDMI ports [1] marked "Input 1, 2, 3 or 4".

2. Use an HDMI cable to connect the TV or projector to the HDMI ports [2] marked

"Output A or B".

3. Connect the power adapter to the "DC 5V" input [3] and insert the plug into the

socket.

4. Pull the plastic strip from the remote control's battery compartment to activate the

battery and remove the protective film from the top.

5.1 Switching between connected HDMI sources

The Connect 542 UHD™ allows you to choose which HDMI source [2] is reproduced

on any of the two TVs. If you want to select another HDMI source, please use the
remote control or the "Output A / B" button on the front.

5.2 EDID

EDID stands for Extended Display Identification Data and is used for communication
between HDMI sources and TVs or projectors to determine the supported image
resolutions and audio formats. The HDMI source requests this information from the TV
or projector and determines the best resolution or audio format. When using multiple
TVs or projectors, the best resolution and audio format that is supported by all
connected displays is determined.
This may cause problems in some situations, for example, when one of the connected
sources or TVs does not fully support EDID.

5.2.1 EDID settings

Use the EDID switch at the front [3] to choose the following options:

• AUTO: automatically detects the highest possible common image resolution and
audio format that is supported by both TVs. Images and audio will be displayed on
both TVs.

• COPY A: only detects the resolution and audio format of the TV that is connected
to “Output A”. This prevents problems with playing, for example, 3D or UltraHD
(4k). “Output A'’ is usually used to connect the highest specification TV.

• 4K30: Both TVs will, if supported, display a resolution of 4K@30Hz.

Tip: Always use the ''AUTO'' setting in standard situations. Images and audio will be
displayed on all connected displays. With the other EDID settings, image or audio
might not be displayed on one or more displays if the appropriate setting is not
supported.

7 Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

No (or poor) image and sound

If you experience poor or no image after connecting the Connect 542 UHD™, try
detecting the problem by connecting the devices to your TV or projector one at a time.
This enables you to determine whether the problem is in the HDMI sources, the HDMI
cables, the Connect 542 UHD™ or the TVs.

• Make sure the power adapter is connected and plugged in.

• Ensure that the EDID switch is in the correct position as specified in section 4.2.1.

• For the best picture and sound quality, only use High Speed HDMI® certified

cables.

• Do not use HDMI cables longer than those specified in the technical data.

• Check the HDMI cables and/or connectors for damage.

• Both the HDMI source and your TV or projector should fully support HDMI.

Incorrect 3D display

• Ensure that the HDMI source is set to display 3D and/or it is set to automatic.

• Both the HDMI source and your HD screen should support the same 3D formats.

• Ensure that 3D is displayed correctly by connecting the HDMI source directly to

the HD display with an HDMI cable.

3.1 Einführung

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Erwerb des Marmitek Connect 542 UHD™
Mit diesem HDMI Matrix Switcher können Sie 4 HDMI Quellen auf 2 Bildschirmen (TV
oder Projektor) ohne jeglichen Signal- oder Verschlüsselungsverlust anschließen.
Ideal, wenn Sie das Signal mit beispielsweise einem HDMI Extender in einen anderen
Raum versenden möchten. Beispiele von HDMI Quellen sind; Spielcomputer wie
PlayStation und XBox, Blue-Ray-Player, digitaler TV Decoder und alle anderen HDMI
Geräte.
Der Connect 542 UHD™ unterstützt Ultra HD (4k60), Full HD (1080p) und alle 3D
Formate und eignet sich damit sowohl für all Ihre heutigen wie zukünftigen Geräte.

4.1 Tipps zur Installation

• Schalten Sie zunächst alle Geräte (TV und HDMI Quellen) aus, bevor Sie diese

an den Connect 542 UHD™ anschließen. Entfernen Sie den Stecker aus der

Steckdose, falls diese nicht ausgeschaltet werden können.

• Verwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und Tonqualität ausschließlich

• Lassen Sie während des Anschließens Ihrer HDMI Kabel Vorsicht walten. Diese

können schnell beschädigen.

1. Schließen Sie die HDMI Quellen (wie Spielkonsole, Blu-Ray Player oder digitalen

2. Schließen Sie Fernseher oder Projektor mit einem HDMI Kabel an die HDMI

verbinden Sie diesen mit der Steckdose.

4. Ziehen Sie den Plastikstreifen aus dem Batteriefach der Fernbedienung, um die

Batterie zu aktivieren und entfernen Sie die Schutzfolie an der Oberseite.

5.1 Schalten zwischen den angeschlossenen HDMI Quellen

Mit dem Connect 542 UHD™ wählen Sie, welche HDMI Quelle [2] auf welchem der

zwei Fernseher wiedergegeben wird. Zur Auswahl einer anderen HDMI Quelle nutzen
Sie die Fernbedienung oder die "OUTPUT A/B“ Taste an der Vorderseite.

5.2 EDID

EDID steht für Extended Display Identification Data und wird für die Kommunikation
zwischen HDMI Quellen und Fernsehgeräten oder Projektoren zur Bestimmung der
unterstützten Bildauflösung und Audioformate genutzt. Die HDMI Quelle ruft diese
Information vom TV oder Projektor ab und bestimmt die beste Auflösung oder das
beste Audioformat. Bei Verwendung mehrerer Fernsehgeräte oder Projektoren wird die
beste Auflösung und das beste Audioformat bestimmt, das von allen angeschlossenen
Fernsehern unterstützt wird.
In manchen Situationen kann das Probleme verursachen, beispielsweise wenn eine
der angeschlossenen Quellen oder Fernseher EDID nicht korrekt unterstützt.

5.2.1 EDID Einstellungen

Sie können mithilfe des EDID Schalters an der Vorderseite [3] folgende Wahl treffen

• AUTO: Ermittelt automatisch die höchstmögliche, gemeinschaftliche Bildauflösung

und das Audioformat, welche von beiden Fernsehgeräten unterstützt werden. Bild
und Ton wird auf beiden Fernsehgeräten wiedergegeben werden.

• COPY A: Ermittelt nur die Auflösung und das Audioformat des an den “Output A“

angeschlossenen Fernsehgeräts. Damit begegnen Sie Abspielproblemen von z.B.
3D oder Ultra HD (4k) Inhalten. An den ‘’Output A’’ wird zumeist das Fernsehgerät
mit den höchsten Spezifikationen angeschlossen.

• 4K30: Auf beiden Fernsehgeräten wird, wenn unterstützt, eine 4K@30Hz

Auflösung wiedergegeben werden.

Tipp: Nutzen Sie in Standardsituationen immer die ‘’AUTO’’ Einstellung. Auf allen

angeschlossenen Bildschirmen wird Bild und Ton wiedergegeben werden. Bei den
anderen EDID Einstellungen kann es passieren, dass auf einem der beiden
Bildschirme kein Bild oder Ton wiedergegeben wird, wenn die betreffende Einstellung
nicht unterstützt wird.

7 Häufig gestellte Fragen (FAQs)

Kein (oder schlechtes) Bild und Ton

Wenn Sie nach dem Anschließen des Connect 542 UHD™ kein, oder ein schlechtes
Bild empfangen, versuchen Sie dann das Problem zu ermitteln, indem Sie die Geräte
Stück für Stück an Ihren TV oder Projektor anschließen. Auf diese Art können Sie
ermitteln ob es an den HDMI Quellen, den HDMI Kabeln, dem Connect 542 UHD™
oder dem Fernsehgerät liegt.

• Prüfen Sie, ob der Speisungsadapter angeschlossen und mit der Steckdose

verbunden ist.

• Prüfen Sie, ob sich der EDID Schalter in korrekter Position wie beschrieben in

Kapitel 4.2.1 befindet

• Verwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und Tonqualität ausschließlich

High Speed HDMI

• Verwenden Sie keine HDMI Kabel, die länger sind als in den technischen Daten

aufgeführt.

• Überprüfen Sie die HDMI Kabel und/oder Anschlüsse auf Beschädigungen.

• Sowohl die HDMI Quelle wie Ihr TV oder Projektor müssen HDMI vollständig

unterstützen.

Keine korrekte 3D Wiedergabe

• Überprüfen Sie, ob die HDMI Quelle auf 3D Wiedergabe eingestellt und/oder ob

diese auf automatisch eingestellt ist.

• Sowohl die HDMI Quelle wie Ihr HD Bildschirm müssen dieselben 3D Formate

unterstützen.

• Überprüfen Sie, ob 3D korrekt wiedergegeben wird, indem Sie die HDMI Quelle

mit einem HDMI Kabel direkt an den HD Bildschirm anschließen.

8.1 Konformitätserklärung

Hiermit erklärt Marmitek BV die Übereinstimmung des Gerätes
Connect 542 UHD™ mit den grundlegenden Anforderungen und den

Richtlinie 2014/30/EU des Europäischen Parlaments und des Rates vom 26. Februar
2014 zur Harmonisierung der Rechtsvorschriften der Mitgliedstaaten über die

Ce commutateur matrice HDMI vous permet de connecter 4 sources HDMI à 2 écrans
(téléviseur ou projecteur) sans aucune perte de signal ou de cryptage. Idéal lorsque
vous souhaitez envoyer le signal vers une autre pièce avec par exemple une rallonge
HDMI. Quelques exemples de sources HDMI : consoles de jeux telles que PlayStation
et Xbox, lecteur Blu-ray, décodeur TV numérique et tous les autres appareils HDMI.
Le Connect 542 UHD™ est compatible avec Ultra HD (4k60), Full HD (1080p) et tous
les formats 3D et convient de ce fait pour tous vos appareils existants et futurs. Tous
nos produits sont conçus et fabriqués selon les exigences de qualité les plus élevées.

4.1 Conseils pour l’installation

 Eteignez tous les appareils (téléviseur et sources HDMI) avant de les connecter

au Connect 542 UHD™. S'il n'est pas possible de les éteindre, débranchez la

prise de courant.
 Utilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés High Speed HDMI® pour obtenir la

meilleure qualité d'image et de son.
 Soyez prudent lors de la connexion de vos câbles HDMI. Ceux-ci peuvent

facilement être endommagés.

5.1 Basculer entre les appareils HDMI connectés

Le Connect 542 UHD™ vous permet de choisir quelle source HDMI [2] sera affichée
sur l’un des deux téléviseurs. Si vous souhaitez sélectionner une autre source HDMI,
utilisez la télécommande ou appuyez sur le bouton “OUTPUT A / B” situé sur le front

de l'appareil.

5.2 EDID

EDID signifie Extended Display Identification Data (Données Étendues d'Identification
d'Affichage) et il est utilisé pour la communication entre les sources HDMI et les
téléviseurs ou les projecteurs afin de déterminer les résolutions d'images et les formats
audio pris en charge. La source HDMI demande ces informations au téléviseur ou au
projecteur et détermine la meilleure résolution ou le meilleur format audio. Lorsqu'on
utilise plusieurs téléviseurs ou plusieurs projecteurs la meilleure résolution et le
meilleur format audio, qui sont pris en charge par tous les téléviseurs connectés, sont
déterminés.
Dans certains cas cela peut causer des problèmes, par exemple lorsque l'une des
sources ou l'un des téléviseurs connectés ne supporte pas bien l'EDID.

5.2.1 Paramétrages EDID

Le commutateur EDID situé sur le front de l'appareil [3] vous permet d'effectuer le
choix suivant.

• AUTO : détecte automatiquement la résolution d'image commune et le format

audio les plus élevés possibles qui sont pris en charge par les deux téléviseurs.
L'image et le son seront restitués sur les deux téléviseurs.

• COPY A : détecte uniquement la résolution et le format audio du téléviseur qui est

connecté sur “Output A”. Cela vous permet d'éviter les problèmes lors de la

lecture par exemple d'images 3D ou UltraHD (4k). Le téléviseur avec les

spécifications les plus élevées est généralement connecté sur ‘’Output A’’.

• 4K30 : Une résolution de 4K@30Hz sera affichée sur les deux téléviseurs, si cette

option est prise en charge.

Conseil : Dans des conditions normales utilisez toujours le mode ‘’AUTO’’. L'image et

le son seront restitués sur tous les écrans connectés. Dans le cas d’autres

paramétrages EDID il se peut que l'image et le son ne soient pas restitués sur 1 ou
plusieurs écrans si le paramétrage concerné n'est pas pris en charge.

7 Foire aux questions (FAQ)

Pas d'image (ou image de mauvaise qualité) ni de son

Si après avoir connecté le Connect 542 UHD™ vous n'avez pas d'image ou l'image est
de mauvaise qualité, essayez de trouver la cause du problème en connectant les
appareils un à un à votre téléviseur ou à votre projecteur. Vous pourrez ainsi
déterminer si le problème provient des sources HDMI, des câbles HDMI, du Connect

542 UHD™ ou des téléviseurs.

• Assurez-vous que l'adaptateur secteur soit connecté et branché dans la prise de

courant.

• Assurez-vous que le commutateur de l’égaliseur EDID soit sur la bonne position

comme indiqué au chapitre 4.2.1

• Utilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés High Speed HDMI® pour obtenir la

meilleure qualité d'image et de son.

• N'utilisez pas de câbles HDMI plus longs que ceux spécifiés dans les

caractéristiques techniques.

• Assurez-vous que les câbles HDMI et/ou les connecteurs ne soient pas

endommagés.

• La source HDMI ainsi que votre téléviseur ou votre projecteur doivent supporter

pleinement l’HDMI.

Pas d'affichage 3D correct

• Assurez-vous que la source HDMI soit paramétrée pour restituer les images 3D

et/ou qu'elle soit en mode automatique.

• Votre source HDMI ainsi que votre écran HD doivent supporter les mêmes

formats 3D.

• Assurez-vous que les images 3D soient restituées correctement en connectant la

source HDMI directement à l'écran HD avec un câble HDMI.

3.1 Introducción

Felicidades por la compra del Marmitek Connect 542 UHD™.
Este Switch HDMI Matrix facilita la conexión de 4 fuentes HDMI con 2 pantallas (TV o
proyector) sin pérdida de señal o de encriptación. Perfecto por ejemplo, para transmitir
la señal de una habitación a otra mediante un extensor HDMI. Fuentes HDMI son,
entre otras, videoconsolas como Playstation y Xbox, reproductores Blu-ray,
decodificadores de TV digital y todos los demás dispositivos HDMI.
El Connect 542 UHD™ soporta Ultra HD (4k60), Full HD (1080p) y cualquier formato

5.1 Cambiar entre las conectadas fuentes HDMI

Con el Connect 542 UHD™ puede seleccionar cuál de las fuentes HDMI [2] se
reproduce en cuál de las pantallas. Con el botón “OUTPUT A / B” en la cara delantera
del mando selecciona otra fuente.

5.2 EDID

EDID significa “Extended Display Identification Data”. Se emplea en la comunicación
entre fuentes HDMI y televisores o proyectores para determinar las resoluciones de
imagen y los formatos de audio soportados por los dispositivos. La fuente HDMI
solicita la información del televisor o proyector y determina la mejor resolución y el
mejor formato de audio. Cuando se emplean varios televisores o proyectores se
determinan la mejor resolución y el mejor formato de audio soportados por todos los
televisores o proyectores conectados.
En algún caso esto puede causar problemas, por ejemplo, si una de las fuentes o
televisores conectados no soporta el EDID.

5.2.1 Ajustes EDID

El interruptor EDID en la cara delantera [3] ofrece las siguientes posibilidades:

• AUTO: detecta automáticamente cuales son la más alta resolución de imagen y el

mejor formato de audio que se soportan por los dos televisores. Imagen y sonido
se reproducen en las dos pantallas.

• COPY A: detecta solamente la resolución y el formato de audio del televisor que

está conectado a la salida “Output A”. De esta manera se evitan problemas con la
reproducción de por ejemplo 3D o Ultra HD (4k). A la salida ‘’Output A’
normalmente se conecta el televisor con las especificaciones superiores.

• 4K30: si ambos televisores soportan una resolución de 4K@30Hz, esta es la

resolución en la que la imagen se reproduce en ambas pantallas.

Consejo: Emplea en situaciones estándares siempre la opción ‘’AUTO’’. De esta
manera la imagen y el sonido se reproducen en ambas pantallas. Con las demás
opciones existe la posibilidad de que en una de las dos pantallas no se reproduce la
imagen o el sonido cuando este ajuste no sea soportado.

No hay imagen y sonido o son de calidad inferior

Si la imagen después de la conexión del Connect 542 UHD™ se reproduce en mala
calidad o si la imagen no se reproduce, conecta cada dispositivo individualmente al TV
o proyector. De esta manera averigua si el problema es causado por las fuentes
HDMI, los cables HDMI, el Connect 542 UHD™ o los televisores.

• Controla si el adaptador de alimentación está conectado e enchufado.

• Controla si el interruptor EDID se encuentra en la correcta posición como indicada

en capítulo 4.2.1

• Para una calidad superior de imagen y sonido emplea exclusivamente cables

certificados de High Speed HDMI®.

• No emplea cables HDMI más largos como indicado en las especificaciones

técnicas.

• Controla si los cables HDMI y/o los conectores están dañados.

• Tanto la fuente HDMI como el TV o proyector tienen que soportar el HDMI.

Deficiente reproducción del 3D

• Controla si la fuente HDMI está ajustada correctamente para la reproducción del

3.1 Introduzione

Congratulazioni per l’acquisto del Marmitek Connect 542 UHD™.
Con questo commutatore a matrice HDMI è facile collegare 4 dispositivi a 2 schermi
(televisori o proiettori), senza perdere alcun segnale o crittografia.
Ideale quando, per esempio, si desidera inviare il segnale a un'altra stanza con per
esempio un extender HDMI. Esempi di sorgenti HDMI sono: console videogiochi come
Playstation e Xbox, lettore Blu-ray, decoder TV digitale e tutti gli altri dispositivi HDMI.
Connect 542 UHD™ supporta Ultra HD (4k60), Full HD (1080p) e tutti i formati 3D ed è
quindi adatto a tutti i tuoi dispositivi attuali e futuri.

4.1 Consigli per l’installazione

• Spegnere tutte le apparecchiature (televisore e sorgenti HDMI) prima di collegarle

a MegaView 542 UHD ™. Se non possono essere spente, rimuovere la spina

dalla presa.

• Utilizzare solo cavi certificati HDMI® ad alta velocità per la migliore qualità di

immagini e suoni.

• Fare attenzione quando si collegano i cavi HDMI. Questi possono essere

facilmente danneggiati.

1. Collegare le sorgenti HDMI (come console videogiochi, lettore Blu-ray o decoder

TV digitale) con un cavo HDMI alle porte HDMI [1] con "Ingresso 1, 2, 3 o 4”.

HDMI [2] con "Uscita A o B".

3. Collegare l' adattatore di alimentazione all’ingresso "DC 5V” [3] e inserire la spina

4. Estrarre la striscia di plastica dal vano batteria del telecomando per attivare la

batteria e togliere la pellicola protettiva dalla parte superiore.

5.1 Commutazione tra le sorgenti HDMI collegate

Con Connect 542 UHD™ si può scegliere quale sorgente HDMI [2] è visualizzata su
quale dei due televisori. Se si desidera selezionare un’altra sorgente HDMI, utilizzare il

telecomando o il pulsante "OUTPUT A / B" sulla parte anteriore.

5.2 EDID

EDID è l'acronimo di Extended Display Identification Data e viene utilizzato per la
comunicazione tra sorgenti HDMI e televisori o proiettori, per determinare le risoluzioni
dello schermo e i formati audio supportati.
La sorgente HDMI richiede queste informazioni dal televisore o dal proiettore e
determina la migliore risoluzione o formato audio.
Quando si utilizzano più televisori o proiettori, vengono determinati la migliore
risoluzione e il formato audio supportati da tutti i televisori collegati.
In alcune situazioni può causare problemi, per esempio quando una delle sorgenti o
dei televisori collegati non supporta correttamente l'EDID.

5.2.1 Impostazioni EDID

Utilizzando l'interruttore EDID sul fronte [3], si può fare una scelta tra le opzioni
seguenti.

• AUTO: rileva automaticamente la massima risoluzione dello schermo comune e il

formato audio supportati da entrambi i televisori. Immagine e suono verranno
riprodotti su entrambi i televisori.

• COPIA A: rileva solo la risoluzione e il formato audio del televisore collegato a

"Uscita A". Questo impedisce problemi con la riproduzione di per esempio 3D o
Ultra HD (4k). Il televisore con le specifiche più elevate è solitamente collegato a
"Uscita A".

• 4K30: Su entrambi i televisori verrà visualizzata una risoluzione di 4K @ 30Hz, se

supportata.

Suggerimento: In situazioni standard sempre usare l'impostazione “AUTO”. Immagine
e suono verranno riprodotti su tutti gli schermi collegati. In caso delle altre impostazioni
EDID è possibile che non sia riprodotta l’immagine o il suono su uno o su entrambi gli

Mancano l'immagine ed il suono o sono di cattiva qualità

Se si verifica una scarsa o nessuna immagine dopo aver collegato Connect 542

UHD™, provare a identificare il problema collegando i dispositivi al televisore o al

proiettore uno alla volta.
In questo modo è possibile determinare se il problema si trova nelle sorgenti HDMI, nei
cavi HDMI, nel Connect 542 UHD™ o nei televisori.

• Verificare che l'alimentatore sia collegato e inserito nella presa a corrente.

• Assicurarsi che l'interruttore EDID sia nella posizione corretta come specificato

nella sezione 4.2.1.

• Utilizzare solo cavi certificati HDMI® ad alta velocità per la migliore qualità di

immagini e suoni.

• Non utilizzare cavi HDMI più lunghi di quelli specificati nei dati tecnici.

• Controllare che i cavi e/o i connettori HDMI non siano danneggiati.

• Sia la sorgente HDMI che il televisore o proiettore devono supportare

completamente HDMI.

Manca la visualizzazione 3D corretta

• Verifica che la sorgente HDMI sia impostata per la visualizzazione 3D e/o che sia

impostata sul modo automatico.

• Verifica che il 3D sia visualizzato correttamente collegando la sorgente HDMI

3.1 Introductie

Gefeliciteerd met de aankoop van de Marmitek Connect 542 UHD™
Met deze HDMI matrix switcher kunt u 4 HDMI bronnen op 2 schermen (tv of projector)
aansluiten zonder enig signaal of encryptieverlies. Ideaal wanneer u bijvoorbeeld het
signaal wilt versturen naar een andere ruimte met bijvoorbeeld een HDMI verlenger.
Voorbeelden van HDMI bronnen zijn; spelcomputers zoals Playstation en Xbox, Blu­ray speler, digitale tv decoder en alle overige HDMI apparaten.

4.1 Tips voor installatie

 Schakel alle apparatuur (tv en HDMI bronnen) eerst uit voordat u deze aansluit op

de Connect 542 UHD™. Indien deze niet uitgeschakeld kunnen worden, verwijder
dan de stekker uit het stopcontact.

 Gebruik uitsluitend High Speed HDMI® gecertificeerde kabels voor de beste

beeld- en geluidskwaliteit.

 Wees voorzichtig tijdens het aansluiten van uw HDMI kabels. Deze kunnen

makkelijk beschadigd raken.

1. Sluit de HDMI bronnen (zoals spelcomputer, Blu-ray speler of digitale tv decoder)

met een HDMI kabel aan op de HDMI poorten [1] waarbij “Input 1, 2, 3 of 4” staat.

2. Sluit de tv of projector met een HDMI kabel aan op de HDMI poorten [2] waarbij

“Output A of B” staat.

3. Sluit de voedingsadapter aan op de “DC 5V” ingang [3] en steek de stekker in het

stopcontact.

4. Trek de plastic strip uit het batterijvakje van de afstandsbediening om de batterij

actief te maken en verwijder de beschermfolie van de bovenkant.

7. EDID instellingen

5.1 Schakelen tussen de aangesloten HDMI bronnen

Met de Connect 542 UHD™ kiest u welke HDMI bron [2] op welke van de twee tv’s
wordt weergegeven. Indien u een andere HDMI bron wilt selecteren gebuikt u de
afstandsbediening of de “OUTPUT A / B” knop op de voorzijde.

5.2 EDID

EDID staat voor Extended Display Identification Data en deze wordt gebruikt voor
communicatie tussen HDMI bronnen en tv’s of projectors om de ondersteunde
beeldresoluties en audio formaten te bepalen. De HDMI bron vraagt aan de tv of
projector deze informatie op en bepaalt de beste resolutie of audio formaat. Bij gebruik

van meerdere tv’s of projectors wordt bepaald wat de beste resolutie en audio formaat
is die door alle aangesloten tv’s wordt ondersteund.

In sommige situaties kan dat problemen veroorzaken, bijvoorbeeld wanneer één van
de aangesloten bronnen of tv’s EDID niet goed ondersteunt.

5.2.1 EDID instellingen

Met behulp van de EDID schakelaar op de voorzijde [3] kunt u de volgende keuze
maken.

• AUTO: detecteert automatisch de hoogst mogelijke gemeenschappelijke

beeldresolutie en audio formaat die door beide tv’s wordt ondersteund. Op beide

tv’s zal beeld en geluid weergegeven worden.

• COPY A: detecteert alleen de resolutie en audio formaat van de tv die

aangesloten is op “Output A”. Hiermee voorkomt u problemen met het afspelen

van bijvoorbeeld 3D of Ultra HD (4k). Op ‘’Output A’’ wordt meestal de tv met de
hoogste specificaties aangesloten.

• 4K30: Op beide tv’s zal, indien ondersteund, een resolutie van 4K@30Hz worden

weergegeven.

Tip: Gebruik in standaard situaties altijd de ‘’AUTO’’ instelling. Op alle aangesloten
schermen zal beeld en geluid weergegeven worden. Bij de andere EDID instellingen
kan het voorkomen dat op 1 of beide schermen geen beeld of geluid wordt
weergegeven indien de betreffende instelling niet wordt ondersteund.

7 Veelgestelde vragen (FAQs)

Geen (of slecht) beeld en geluid

Indien u slecht of geen beeld ervaart na het aansluiten van de Connect 542 UHD™,
probeer dan het probleem te achterhalen door de apparaten één voor één aan te
sluiten op uw tv of projector. Op deze manier kunt u bepalen of het probleem zich
bevindt in de HDMI bronnen, de HDMI kabels, de Connect 542 UHD™ of de tv’s.

• Controleer of de voedingsadapter is aangesloten en in het stopcontact zit.

• Controleer of de EDID schakelaar in de juiste stand staat zoals gespecificeerd in

hoofdstuk 4.2.1

• Gebruik uitsluitend High Speed HDMI® gecertificeerde kabels voor de beste

beeld- en geluidskwaliteit.

• Gebruik geen HDMI kabels die langer zijn dan gespecificeerd in de technische

gegevens

• Controleer of de HDMI kabels en/ of connectoren niet beschadigd zijn

• Zowel de HDMI bron als uw tv of projector dient HDMI volledig te ondersteunen

Geen correcte 3D weergave

• Controleer of de HDMI bron is ingesteld om 3D weer te geven en/ of dat deze op

automatisch staat.

• Zowel de HDMI bron als uw HD scherm moet dezelfde 3D formaten

ondersteunen.

• Controleer of 3D correct wordt weergegeven door de HDMI bron direct op het HD

scherm aan te sluiten met een HDMI kabel.

landen met gescheiden inzamelingssystemen.

Dit symbool op het product of op de verpakking wijst erop dat dit product niet als
huishoudelijk afval mag worden behandeld. Het moet echter naar een inzamelingspunt
