1. INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on your purchase of the Marmitek Connect 421 UHD™!
It allows you to use 1 cable to connect 4 HDMI sources to your TV, without any loss of
signal or encryption. It's ideal when your TV doesn't have enough HDMI inputs, or if
you want to connect the devices to your TV using just one cable. Examples of HDMI
sources are game consoles such as a PlayStation or Xbox, Blu-ray players, digital TV
decoders and all other HDMI devices. The Connect 421 UHD™ supports Ultra HD (4k),
Full HD (1080p) and all 3D formats, making it suitable for all your existing and future
equipment. The digital audio output can be used to transmit the sound from all your
connected HDMI devices to your AV amplifier, using a single cable.

4. INSTALLATION

Installation tips:

x Turn off all devices (TV and HDMI sources) before connecting them to the

Connect 421 UHD™. If a device cannot be turned off, please remove the plug
from the socket.

x Only use High Speed HDMI® certified cables for the best picture and sound

quality. Using too much force to connect or disconnect the HDMI cables may
damage them.

1. Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI sources (such as game consoles, Blu­ray players and Digital TV Decoders) to the HDMI ports marked "HDMI input".

2. Use an HDMI cable to connect the TV to the HDMI port marked "HDMI output". To
use the ARC function, your TV should support it. Please refer to your TV's manual
to check which HDMI port supports ARC.

3. Connect the AV amplifier to the output marked either "Digital" or "Stereo".
x Use an optical cable for "Digital"; this output supports the audio formats DTS,

Dolby Digital and PCM 2.0.

x Use a stereo cable for "Stereo"; this output supports the analogue stereo

audio format.

4. Connect the power adapter to the "DC 5V" and insert the plug into the socket.

5. Pull the plastic strip from the remote control's battery compartment to activate the
battery and remove the protective film from the top.

5. USE

Switching between connected HDMI devices

The Connect 421 UHD™ allows you to choose which HDMI source is displayed on the
TV. If you turn on one of the HDMI sources, it will automatically switch to the correct
input. If multiple HDMI sources are turned on, the Connect 421 UHD™ will
automatically switch to the HDMI source that was activated last. If you want to select
another HDMI source, please use the remote control or the "Select" button on the front.

Note: Automatic switching must be supported by the HDMI source. If it is not
supported, you should manually select the appropriate HDMI source.

Audio settings

Select the desired audio settings by using either the remote control or the front buttons
of the Connect 421 UHD™.

Audio Return Channel
If your AV amplifier is connected via the "Audio out", there may be a slight lag between
your TV's image and the sound coming from the AV amplifier. This is caused by image
processing on your TV and is sometimes referred to as lip sync problem. The Connect
421 UHD™ supports ARC (Audio Return Channel). This involves the sound first being
sent to the TV, and then returned by your TV at exactly the right moment, using the
same HDMI cable. This allows you, without the use of additional wiring or settings, to
synchronise images and sound. The "ARC" switch allows you to enable or disable this
feature.
ARC must be supported by your TV to be able to use this feature. If your TV does not
support ARC, you can either turn off image processing on your TV, or delay the audio
coming from your AV amplifier or HDMI source. Please refer to your device's manual
for the correct settings.

Audio formats
Select the AUTO feature in standard situations; should you experience any problems,
please manually select a different audio format.
x AUTO, the HDMI equipment automatically detects the best audio format that is

supported by your equipment.

6. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No (or poor) image and sound

If you experience poor or no picture after connecting the HDMI switcher, please try to
identify the problem by connecting the devices to your screen (TV, monitor or projector)
one by one. This allows you to determine whether the problem is with the HDMI
sources, the HDMI cables, the HDMI switcher or the screen.

x Make sure the power adapter is connected and plugged in.
x For the best picture and sound quality, only use High Speed HDMI® certified

cables.

x Do not use HDMI cables longer than those specified in the technical data.
x Check the HDMI cables and/or connectors for damage.
x Both the HDMI source and your screen should fully support HDMI.
x Check that your HDMI sources and screen support HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital

Content Protection) copy protection.

Incorrect 3D display

x Please check whether the HDMI source is set to display 3D and/or it is set to

automatic.

x Both the HDMI source and your HD screen should support the same 3D formats.
x Please check that 3D is displayed correctly by connecting the HDMI source

HDMI Eingänge hat oder wenn Sie die Geräte mit nur 1. Kabel an Ihren Fernseher
anschließen möchten. Beispiele von HDMI Quellen sind: Spielcomputer wie
PlayStation und XBox, Blu-Ray-Player, digitaler TV Decoder und alle anderen HDMI
Geräte. Der Connect 421 UHD™ unterstützt Ultra HD (4k), Full HD (1080p) und alle

4. INSTALLATION

Bevor Sie beginnen:

x Schalten Sie alle Geräte (Fernseher und HDMI Quellen) bevor Sie diese an den

Connect 421 UHD™ anschließen zunächst aus. Entfernen Sie den Stecker aus
der Steckdose, falls diese nicht ausgeschaltet werden können.

x Verwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und Tonqualität ausschließlich

High Speed HDMI® zertifizierte Kabel. Verwenden Sie wenig Kraft, um die HDMI
Kabel anzuschließen oder loszukoppeln; diese könnten sonst beschädigen.

1. Schließen Sie HDMI Quellen (wie Spielcomputer, Blu-Ray Player und digitaler TV

Decoder) mit einem HDMI Kabel an die "HDMI Input“ Anschlüsse an.

2. Verbinden Sie den Fernseher mit einem HDMI Kabel an den HDMI Output

Anschluss an. Wenn Sie ARC nutzen möchten, muss Ihr Fernseher diese
Funktion unterstützen. Ziehen Sie die Gebrauchsanleitung Ihres Fernsehers
zurate, um zu sehen, welcher HDMI Anschluss ARC unterstützt.

3. Schließen sie den AV Verstärker an den “Digital” oder “Stereo” Ausgang an.

x Verwenden sie für den “Digital” Ausgang ein optisches Kabel. Dieser

Ausgang unterstützt die Audioformate DTS, Dolby Digital und PCM 2.0

x Verwenden Sie für den “Stereo” Anschluss ein Stereokabel. Dieser Ausgang

unterstützt analoge Stereo-/Audioformate.

4. Schließen Sie den Speisungsadapter an den “DC 5V“ an und verbinden Sie

diesen mit der Steckdose.

5. Ziehen Sie den Plastikstreifen aus dem Batteriefach der Fernbedienung, um die

Batterie zu aktivieren und entfernen Sie die Schutzfolie an der Oberseite.

5. ANWENDUNG

Schalten Sie zwischen den angeschlossenen HDMI Geräten.

Mit dem 421 UHD™ wählen Sie, welche HDMI Quelle auf Ihrem Fernseher
wiedergegeben wird. Wenn Sie eine dieser HDMI Quellen einschalten, wird diese
automatisch in den entsprechenden Eingang schalten. Sind mehrere HDMI Quellen
bereits eingeschaltet, so wird der Connect 421 UHD™ automatisch zur letztmals
aktivierten HDMI Quelle schalten. Verwenden sie die Fernbedienung oder die “Select“
Taste an der Vorderseite, wenn Sie eine andere HDMI Quelle anwählen möchten.

Bemerkung: Automatisches Schalten muss durch die HDMI Quelle unterstützt werden.
Wird dieses nicht unterstützt, müssen Sie selbst die entsprechende HDMI Quelle
selektieren.

Audio-Einstellungen

Selektieren Sie mit der Fernbedienung oder über die Tasten an der Vorderseite des
Connect 421 UHD™ die gewünschten Audio-Einstellungen. .

Audio Return Channel:

Wenn Ihr AV Verstärker über den “Audio out” angeschlossen ist, kann es vorkommen,

dass das Bild Ihres Fernsehers in Bezug auf den Ton Ihres AV Verstärkers etwas
zurückbleibt. Das wird durch die Bildbearbeitung Ihres Fernsehers verursacht und wird
auch Lipsync Problem genannt. Der Connect 421 UHD™ unterstützt ARC (Audio
Return Channel), wobei der Ton zuerst zu Ihrem Fernseher versendet wird und dann
von Ihrem Fernseher genau im richtigen Moment durch dasselbe HDMI Kabel
zurückgesendet wird. Somit können Sie Bild und Ton synchronisieren, ohne
zusätzliche Kabel oder Einstellungen nutzen zu müssen. Diese Funktion kann mit dem
“ARC“ Schalter ein- oder ausgeschaltet werden.
Um ARC nutzen zu können, muss Ihr Fernseher diese Funktion jedoch unterstützen.
Wenn Ihr Fernseher nicht über ARC verfügt, dann können Sie die Bildbearbeitungen
auf Ihrem Fernseher ausschalten, oder das Audiosignal an Ihrem AV Verstärker oder
HDMI Quelle verzögern. Ziehen Sie für die entsprechenden Einstellungen die
Gebrauchsanleitung Ihres Geräts hinzu.

Audioformate:
Wählen Sie in Standardsituationen die AUTO Funktion. Wählen Sie bei Problemen
dann manuell ein anderes Audioformat.

x AUTO, das HDMI Gerät sucht automatisch das bestmögliche Audioformat, das

durch Ihr Gerät unterstützt wird.

6. HÄUFIG GESTELLTE FRAGEN

Kein (oder schlechtes) Bild und Ton

Wenn Sie nach dem Anschließen des HDMI Switch kein, oder ein schlechtes Bild
empfangen, versuchen Sie dann die Geräte Stück für Stück an Ihren Schirm
anzuschließen (TV, Monitor oder Projektor), um zu sehen, wo das Problem liegt. Auf
diese Art können Sie ermitteln ob es an den HDMI Quellen, den HDMI Kabeln, dem
HDMI Switch oder dem Schirm liegt.
x Überprüfen Sie, ob der Speisungsadaptor angeschlossen ist und sich in der

Steckdose befindet.

x Verwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und Tonqualität ausschließlich

High Speed HDMI® zertifizierte Kabel.

x Verwenden Sie keine HDMI Kabel, die länger sind als in den technischen Daten

aufgeführt.

x Überprüfen Sie die HDMI Kabel und/oder Anschlüsse auf Beschädigungen.
x Sowohl die HDMI Quelle wie Ihr Bildschirm muss HDMI vollständig unterstützen.
x Prüfen Sie, ob Ihre HDMI Quellen und Bildschirm das Verschlüsselungssystem

HDCP (Highbandwidth Digital Content Protection) unterstützen.

Keine korrekte 3D Wiedergabe

x Überprüfen Sie, ob die HDMI Quelle auf 3D Wiedergabe eingestellt und/oder ob

diese auf automatisch eingestellt ist.

x Sowohl die HDMI Quelle wie Ihr HD Bildschirm müssen dieselben 3D Daten

unterstützen.

x Überprüfen Sie, ob 3D korrekt wiedergegeben wird, indem Sie die HDMI Quelle

mit einem HDMI Kabel direkt an den HD Bildschirm anschließen.

4. INSTALLATION

Conseils d'installation :

x Eteignez tous les appareils (téléviseur et sources HDMI) avant de les connecter

au Connect 421 UHD™. S'il n'est pas possible de les éteindre, débranchez la
prise de courant.

x Utilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés HDMI® High Speed pour obtenir la

meilleure qualité d'image et de son. Ne forcez pas pour connecter ou déconnecter
les câbles HDMI, autrement cela pourrait les endommager.

1. Connectez la source HDMI (telle que console de jeux, lecteur Blu-ray et

Décodeur TV Numérique) avec un câble HDMI sur les ports HDMI avec
l'inscription “HDMI input” (“entrée HDMI”).

2. Connectez le téléviseur avec un câble HDMI sur le port HDMI avec l'inscription

“HDMI output” (“sortie HDMI”). Si vous souhaitez utiliser la fonctionnalité ARC,

votre téléviseur doit supporter cette fonctionnalité. Consultez le manuel
d'utilisation de votre téléviseur pour savoir quel port HDMI prend en charge la
fonctionnalité ARC.

3. Connectez l'amplificateur AV sur la sortie avec l'inscription “Digital” ou “Stereo”.

x Utilisez un câble optique pour “Digital” ; cette sortie supporte les formats

audio DTS, Dolby Digital et PCM 2.0.

x Utilisez un câble stéréo pour “Stereo” ; cette sortie supporte le format audio

stéréo analogique.

4. Connectez l'adaptateur secteur sur “DC 5V” et branchez la fiche dans la prise de

courant.

5. Retirez la languette de plastique du compartiment à pile de la télécommande afin

d'activer la pile et enlevez le film protecteur de la partie supérieure.

5. UTILISATION

Basculez entre les appareils HDMI connectés

Le Connect 421 UHD™ vous permet de choisir la source HDMI que vous souhaitez
restituer sur le téléviseur. Lorsque vous branchez l'une des sources HDMI, celle-ci
basculera automatiquement sur la bonne entrée. Si plusieurs sources HDMI sont
activées le Connect 421 UHD™ basculera automatiquement sur la dernière source
HDMI active. Si vous souhaitez sélectionner une autre source HDMI, utilisez la
télécommande ou appuyez sur le bouton “Select” situé sur le front de l'appareil.

Remarque : la commutation automatique doit être supportée par la source HDMI. Si
celle-ci n’est pas supportée, vous devez sélectionner vous-même la bonne source
HDMI.

Paramétrages audio

Sélectionnez les paramètres audio souhaités en utilisant la télécommande ou par le
biais des boutons situés sur le front du Connect 421 UHD™.

Audio Return Channel :

Lorsque votre amplificateur AV est connecté par le biais de “Audio out” (“Sortie Audio”)

il se peut que l'image de votre téléviseur accuse un léger retard sur le son par le biais
de l'amplificateur AV. Ceci est provoqué par les traitements d'images sur votre
téléviseur que l'on appelle également le problème de synchronisation labiale (Lip sinc).
Le Connect 421 UHD™ supporte la fonctionnalité ARC (Audio Return Channel) qui
envoie d'abord le son vers le téléviseur pour être ensuite renvoyé par votre téléviseur
au bon moment par le même câble HDMI. Cela vous permet de synchroniser l'image et
le son sans câblage ou réglages supplémentaires. Le commutateur “ARC” vous permet
d'activer ou de désactiver cette fonctionnalité.
Pour utiliser la fonctionnalité ARC votre téléviseur doit bien sûr supporter cette
fonctionnalité. Si votre téléviseur ne dispose pas de la fonctionnalité ARC vous pouvez
désactiver les traitements d'images sur votre téléviseur ou retarder l'audio sur votre
amplificateur AV ou sur votre source HDMI. Veuillez consulter le manuel d'utilisation de
votre appareil pour les paramétrages corrects.

Formats audio :
Dans des conditions normales sélectionnez le mode AUTO ; si vous rencontrez des
difficultés sélectionnez manuellement un autre format audio.
x AUTO, l'appareil HDMI détecte automatiquement le meilleur format audio pris en

charge par vos appareils.

6. FOIRE AUX QUESTIONS

Pas d'image (ou image de mauvaise qualité) ni de son

Si après avoir connecté le commutateur HDMI vous n'avez pas d'image ou l'image est
de mauvaise qualité, essayez de trouver la cause du problème en connectant les
appareils l'un après l'autre à votre écran (téléviseur, moniteur ou projecteur). Vous
pourrez ainsi déterminer si le problème provient des sources HDMI, des câbles HDMI,
du commutateur HDMI ou de l'écran.

x Assurez-vous que l'adaptateur secteur soit connecté et branché dans la prise de

courant.

x Utilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés HDMI® High Speed pour obtenir la

meilleure qualité d'image et de son.

x N'utilisez pas de câbles HDMI qui soient plus longs que ce qui est spécifié dans

les caractéristiques techniques.

x Assurez-vous que les câbles HDMI et/ou connecteurs ne soient pas

endommagés.

4. INSTALACIÓN

Consejos para la instalación:

x Aapaga todos los dispositivos (TV y fuentes HDMI) antes de conectarlos con el

Connect 421 UHD™. Si no se pueden apagar, desenchufa el cable de la toma de
corriente.

x Usa exclusivamente cables certificados para High Speed HDMI® para recibir una

calidad superior de imagen y sondido. Conecta y desconecta los cables HDMI
con mucho cuidado para no dañarlos.

1. Conecta las fuentes HDMI (como videoconsola, reproductor Blu-Ray o

decodificador digital de TV) con los puertos HDMI indicados como “HDMI input”

usando un cable HDMI.

2. Conecta el TV con el puerto HDMI indicado como “HDMI output” usando un cable

HDMI. Si quiere emplear la función de ARC es necesario que el televisor soporte
esta función. Ve el modo de empleo del televisor para informarse cual de los
puertos HDMI es apto para el ARC.

3. Conecta el amplificador A/V con la salida indicada como “Digital” o “Stereo”.

x Usa un cable óptico para “Digital”, esta salida es compatible con los

formatos de audio DTS, Dolby Digital y PCM 2.0

x Usa un cable estéreo para “Stereo”, esta salida es compatible con los

formatos de audio análogos.

4. Conecta el adaptador de alimentación con el “DC 5V” y enchúfelo.

5. Quita la cinta de plástico del compartimento de la pila del mando a distancia para

activar la pila. A continuación quita la cinta protectora de la cara superior.

5. EMPLEO

Conmutar entre los dispositivos HDMI conectados

Con el Connect 421 UHD™ selecciona la fuente HDMI cuyo contenido se reproduce
en la pantalla del TV. Al encender una de las fuentes HDMI, el dispositivo conmuta
automáticamente a la entrada correcta. Cuando están encendidas varias fuentes
HDMI, el Connect 421 UHD™ conmuta automáticamente a la última fuente que fue
activada. Para seleccionar otra fuente HDMI, emplea el mando a distancia o el botón
de “Select” en la cara delantera.

Ajustes de audio

Selecciona los ajustes de audio con el mando a distancia o con los botones en la cara
delantera del Connect 421 UHD™.

Audio Return Channel:
Cuando el amplificador A/V está conectado con la salida “Audio out”, es posible que la
imagen del TV se reproduzca un poco más tarde que el sónido del amplificador A/V.
Este efecto se debe a la adaptación de la imagen del televisor y se llama el problema
de Lipsync (sincronización de labios). El Connect 421 UHD™ es apto para el ARC
(Audio Return Channel). Con esta funcion el sonido se transmite al televisor y luego el
televisor devuelve el sonido en el momento adecuado a traves del mismo cable HDMI.
De esta manera se sincronizan la imagen y el sonido sin necesidad de cables o
ajustes adicionales. La función se enciende y se apaga usando el conmutador “ARC”.
Es necesario que el televisor soporte el ARC. Si el TV no dispone de ARC es posible
apagar la adaptación de la imagen en el televisor o retardar el audio en el amplificador
A/V o en la fuente HDMI. Para los ajustes ve el modo de empleo del dispositivo en
cuestión.

Formatos de audio:
En situaciones estándares selecciona la función AUTO, si surgen problemas,
selecciona manualmente otro formato de audio.
x AUTO, el dispositivo HDMI detecta automáticamente el formato de audio más

adecuado que es compatible con el equipo.

x 7.1CH, compatible con Dolby TrueHD y DTS-HD Master Audio

6. PREGUNTAS FRECUENTES

No hay imagen y sonido o son de calidad inferior

Cuando no hay imagen después de haber conectado el Conmutador HDMI o cuando
la imagen es de calidad inferior, intenta encontrar la causa conectando cada
dispositivo individualmente con la pantalla (TV, monitor o proyectór). De esta manera
se detecta si el problema es causado por las fuentes HDMI, los cables HDMI, el
conmutador HDMI o la pantalla.

x Controla si el adaptador de alimentación está enchufado.
x Emplea exclusivamente cables certificados de High Speed HDMI® para una

calidad superior de imagen y sonido.

x No emplea cables HDMI más largos que indicado en las especificaciones de los

datos técnicos.

x Controla si ninguno de los cables y/o conectores está dañado.

E’ possibile collegare 4 sorgenti HDMI tramite 1 cavo al televisore, senza perdita di

segnale o crittografia. Ideale se il televisore non dispone di abbastanza ingressi HDMI
o per collegare le apparecchiature con un solo cavo al televisore. Esempi di sorgenti
HDMI: console videogiochi come Playstation e Xbox, lettore Blu-ray, decoder TV
digitale e tutte le altre apparechiature HDMI. Il Connect 421 UHD™ supporta Ultra HD
(4k), Full HD (1080p) e tutti i formati 3D ed è adatto a tutte le apparecchiature esistenti

e future. Si può usare l’uscita audio digitale per collegare il suono di tutte le
apparecchiature HDMI collegate con un solo cavo all’amplificatore AV.

4. INSTALLAZIONE

Consigli per l’installazione:

x Prima spegnere tutte le apparecchiature (TV e sorgenti HDMI) e poi collegarle al

Connect 421 UHD™. Quando non è possibile spegnerle, rimuovere la spina dalla
presa.

x Utilizzare solo i cavi omologati High Speed HDMI® per la migliore qualità audio e

video. Utilizzare poca forza per collegare o scollegare i cavi HDMI di modo che
non saranno danneggiati.

1. Collegare le sorgenti HDMI (come console videogiochi, lettore Blu-ray e Decoder

TV Decoder) alle porte HDMI con il testo “HDMI input”, tramite un cavo HDMI.

2. Collegare il televisore ad una porta HDMI con il testo “HDMI output”, tramite un

cavo HDMI. Per utilizzare la funzionalità ARC, il televisore deve supportarla.
Vedere le istruzioni per l’uso del televisore quale porta HDMI supporta ARC.

3. Collegare l’amplificatore AV all’uscita con il testo “Digital” o all’uscita con il testo

“Stereo”.
x Utilizzare un cavo ottico per l’uscita “Digital”, quest’uscita supporta i formati

audio DTS, Dolby Digital e PCM 2.0.

x Utilizzare un cavo stereo per l’uscita “Stereo”, quest’uscita supporta il

formato audio analogo stereo.

4. Collegare l’adattatore di alimentazione al “DC 5V” ed inserire la spina nella presa.

5. Tirare la striscia di plastica dal vano batterie del telecomando per attivare la

batteria e togliere la pellicola protettiva dalla parte superiore.

5. USO

Commutare tra le apparecchiature HDMI collegate

Con il Connect 421 UHD™ si può scegliere quale sorgente HDMI è riprodotta sul
televisore. Quando si accende una delle sorgenti HDMI essa commuterà
automaticamente all’ingresso corretto. Se più sorgenti HDMI sono state accese, il
Connect 421 UHD™ commuterà automaticamente alla sorgente HDMI attivata per

ultima. Per selezionare un’altra sorgente HDMI si deve usare il telecomando o il tasto
“Select” sul davanti.

Nota: la commutazione automatica deve essere supportata dalla sorgente HDMI. Se
non è supportata questa modalità, si deve selezionare manualmente la corretta
sorgente HDMI.

Impostazioni audio

Selezionare le impostazioni audio desiderate utilizzando il telecomando o tramite i tasti
sul davanti del Connect 421 UHD™.

Audio Return Channel (canale di ritorno audio):

Se l’amplificatore AV è stato collegato tramite la connessione “Audio out” può essere
che l’immagine del televisore è un po’ in ritardo rispetto al suono dell’amplificatore AV.
Questo è causato dall’elaborazione delle immagini sul televisore ed è chiamato il
problema Lipsync. Il Connect 421 UHD™ supporta ARC (canale di ritorno audio):

prima il suono viene inviato al televisore e poi è rinviato, al momento idoneo, dal
televisore attraverso lo stesso cavo HDMI. In tal modo è possibile di sincronizzare

l’immagine e il suono, senza l’uso di cavi o impostazioni aggiuntivi. Si può attivare o
disattivare questa funzionalità tramite l’interruttore “ARC”.

Per usare la funzionalità ARC questa deve essere supportata dal televisore. Se il

televisore non dispone dell’ARC è possibile disattivare sul televisore le elaborazioni
dell’immagine, ritardare l’audio sull’amplificatore AV o sulla sorgente HDMI. Consultare

le istruzioni per l’uso delle relative apparecchiature per le impostazioni corrette.

Formati audio:
Nelle situazioni tipo selezionare la modalità AUTO, quando ci sono problemi si deve
selezionare manualmente un formato audio diverso.
x AUTO, le apparecchiature HDMI individuano automaticamente il migliore formato

audio supportato dalle relative apparecchiature.

x 7.1CH, supporta Dolby TrueHD e DTS-HD Master Audio.
x 5.1CH, supporta DTS e Dolby Digital audio.
x 2.0CH, supporta audio a 2 canali.

6. DOMANDE FREQUENTI

Mancano l'immagine ed il suono o sono di cattiva qualità

Nel caso che dopo il collegamento del commutatore HDMI manchi l'immagine o sia di
cattiva qualità, cercare di risolvere il problema collegando uno per uno le
apparecchiature allo schermo (televisore, monitor o proiettore). In tal modo è possibile
determinare se il problema si trova nelle sorgenti HDMI, nei cavi HDMI, nel
commutatore HDMI o nello schermo.

x Controllare se l’adattatore di alimentazione è stato collegato ed inserito nella

presa di corrente..

x Per la migliore qualità di immagini e suono usare solo cavi omologati High Speed

HDMI®.

x Non usare cavi HDMI più lunghi di quanto indicato nei dati tecnici .
x Controllare se i cavi e/o connettori HDMI non sono stati danneggiati.
x Sia la sorgente HDMI che lo schermo devono supportare interamente HDMI.
x Controllare se le sorgenti HDMI e lo schermo supportano la protezione anticopia

HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection).

het geluid van al uw aangesloten HDMI apparatuur met maar 1 kabel op uw AV

4. INSTALLATIE

Tips voor installatie:

x Schakel alle apparatuur (TV en HDMI bronnen) eerst uit voordat u deze aansluit

op de Connect 421 UHD™. Indien deze niet uitgeschakeld kan worden verwijder
dan de stekker uit het stopcontact.

x Gebruik uitsluitend High Speed HDMI® gecertificeerde kabels voor de beste

beeld- en geluidskwaliteit. Gebruik weinig kracht om de HDMI kabels aan te
sluiten of los te koppelen, deze kunnen hierdoor beschadigd raken.

1. Sluit de HDMI bronnen (zoals spelcomputer, Blu-ray speler en Digitale TV

Decoder) aan op de HDMI poorten waarbij “HDMI input” staat met een HDMI

kabel.

2. Sluit de TV aan op de HDMI poort waarbij staat “HDMI output” met een HDMI

kabel. Wanneer u de ARC functie wilt gebruiken moet uw TV dat ondersteunen.
Kijk in de gebruiksaanwijzing van uw TV welke HDMI poort ARC ondersteunt.

3. Sluit de AV versterker aan op uitgang waarbij staat “Digital” of “Stereo”.

x Gebruik een optische kabel voor “Digital”, deze uitgang ondersteunt de audio

formaten DTS, Dolby Digital en PCM 2.0

x Gebruik een stereo kabel voor “Stereo”, deze uitgang ondersteunt analoge

stereo audio formaat

4. Sluit de voedingsadapter aan op de “DC 5V” en steek de stekker in het

stopcontact.

5. Trek de plastic strip uit het batterijvakje van de afstandsbediening om de batterij

actief te maken en verwijder de beschermfolie van de bovenkant.

5 GEBRUIK

Schakel tussen de aangesloten HDMI apparaten

Met de Connect 421 UHD™ kiest u welke HDMI bron op de TV wordt weergegeven.
Wanneer u één van de HDMI bronnen aanzet zal deze automatisch naar de juiste
ingang schakelen. Indien meerdere HDMI bronnen zijn aangezet zal de Connect 421

UHD™ automatisch naar de laatst actief geworden HDMI bron schakelen. Indien u een
andere HDMI bron wilt selecteren gebuikt u de afstandsbediening of de “Select” knop

op de voorzijde.

Opmerking: automatisch schakelen moet ondersteunt worden door de HDMI bron.
Indien dit niet ondersteunt wordt moet u zelf de juiste HDMI bron selecteren.

Audio instellingen

Selecteer de gewenste audio instellingen door gebruik te maken van de
afstandsbediening of via de knoppen op de voorzijde van de Connect 421 UHD™.

Audio Return Channel:

Wanneer uw AV versterker is aangesloten via de “Audio out” kan het voorkomen dat

het beeld van uw TV iets achterloopt op het geluid via de AV versterker. Dit wordt
veroorzaakt door beeldbewerkingen op uw TV en wordt ook wel het Lipsync probleem

genoemd. De Connect 421 UHD™ ondersteunt ARC (Audio Return Channel) waarbij

het geluid eerst naar de TV wordt gestuurd en vervolgens door uw TV op precies het
juiste moment wordt teruggestuurd door dezelfde HDMI kabel. Hiermee kunt u, zonder
gebruik te maken van extra bekabeling of instellingen, het beeld en geluid
synchroniseren. Met de schakelaar “ARC” kunt u deze functie in- of uitschakelen.
ARC moet wel door uw TV ondersteunt worden om hiervan gebruik te kunnen maken.
Heeft uw TV geen ARC dan kunt u de beeldbewerkingen op uw TV uitschakelen, de
audio vertragen op uw AV versterker of HDMI bron. Raadpleeg de gebruiksaanwijzing
van uw apparatuur voor de juiste instellingen.

Audio formaten:
Selecteer in standaard situaties de AUTO functie, als u problemen ervaart kies dan
handmatig een ander audio formaat.
x AUTO, de HDMI apparatuur detecteert automatisch de best mogelijke audio

formaat die door uw apparatuur wordt ondersteund.

x 7.1CH, ondersteunt Dolby TrueHD en DTS-HD Master Audio
x 5.1CH, ondersteunt DTS en Dolby Digital audio
x 2.0CH, ondersteunt 2-kanaals audio

6. VEEL GESTELDE VRAGEN

Geen (of slecht) beeld en geluid

Indien u slecht of geen beeld ervaart na het aansluiten van de HDMI switcher, probeer
dan het probleem te achterhalen door de apparaten één voor één aan te sluiten op uw
scherm (TV, monitor of projector). Op deze manier kunt u bepalen of het probleem zich
bevindt in de HDMI bronnen, de HDMI kabels, de HDMI switcher of het scherm.

x Controleer of de voedingsadapter is aangesloten en in het stopcontact zit.
x Gebruik uitsluitend High Speed HDMI® gecertificeerde kabels voor de beste

beeld- en geluidskwaliteit.

x Gebruik geen HDMI kabels die langer zijn dan gespecificeerd in de technische

gegevens

x Controleer of de HDMI kabels en/ of connectoren niet beschadigd zijn
x Zowel de HDMI bron als uw scherm dient HDMI volledig te ondersteunen
x Controleer of uw HDMI bronnen en scherm de kopieerbeveiliging HDCP

(Highbandwidth Digital Content Protection) ondersteunen.

Geen correcte 3D weergave

x Controleer of de HDMI bron is ingesteld om 3D weer te geven en/ of dat deze op
