Radiant Heater
Desk Heater: 200 Series
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the fol­lowing:

2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid bums, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Do not partial­ly or fully cover or obstruct the front of this heater.
3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by, or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
4. Always unplug heater when not in use.
5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to the factory as outlined in the warranty for all repairs.
6. Do not use outdoors.
7. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, etc. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
8. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never
locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. Do not turn heater on or off when standing in water or if your hands are in water. Disregard of this warning may result in fatal accident.
9. To disconnect heater , turn switch of f, then remove plug from outlet.
10.Connect to properly grounded polarized outlets only.
11. Do not make holes of any kind in the heater. If you do, you can damage this heater and void this war­ranty.
12.To prevent a possible fire, do not use this heater on soft surfaces, like a bed. Do not leave heater turned on when face down or when front of the heater is covered in any way with any material.
13.A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or stored.
14. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufac­turer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
15. Avoid the use of an extension cord, because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
16.If an extension cord must be used, the cord shall be No. 18AWG and rated not less than 600 watts.

LIMITED WARRANTY
All products manufactured by Marley Engineered Products are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials for one year from date of installation, except heat­ing elements which are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials for five years from date of installation. This warranty does not apply to damage from acci­dent, misuse, or alteration; nor where the connected voltage is more than 5% above the nameplate voltage; nor to equipment improperly installed or wired or maintained in violation of the product’s installation instructions. All claims for warranty work must be accompanied by proof of the date of installation.
The customer shall be responsible for all costs incurred in the removal or reinstallation of products, including labor costs, and shipping costs incurred to return products to Marley Engineered Products Service Center. Within the limitations of this warranty, inoperative units should be returned to the nearest Marley authorized service center or the Marley Engineered Products Service Center, and we will repair or replace, at our option, at no charge to you with return freight paid by Marley. It is agreed that such repair or replacement is the exclusive remedy available from Marley Engineered Products.
THE ABOVE WARRANTIES ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR APARTICULAR PURPOSE WHICH EXCEED THE AFORESAID EXPRESSED WARRANTIES ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED AND EXCLUDED FROM THIS AGREEMENT. MARLEY ENGINEERED PRODUCTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT, WHETHER BASED UPON NEGLIGENCE, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR CONTRACT.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion or limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Merchandise returned to the facto­ry must be accompanied by a return authorization and service identification tag, both available from Marley Engineered Products. When requesting return authorization, include all catalog numbers shown on the products.
GENERAL
200 Series radiant heaters are designed to provide supple­mental heat in small areas such as offices and may be used as an under desk heater. However, care must be taken to avoid blocking heater or covering it with any thing that could allow it to build up heat – See warnings.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
This heater operates in vertical position only. For mounting heater to desk, apply velcro to top of heater back, one piece near each comer. Remove backing from back of vel­cro and press firmly against the desired position on the desk. Normal position is vertical against the desk knee­well panel with the top of the heater at knee height. To remove, pull bottom of heater firmly away from desk. Heater can be restored to original position by once again attaching to velcro. the leg on the back swings out to sup­port the heater when used as a portable heater.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND CARE
Heaters are provided with flexible cord with a polarized 2 blade plug (as shown in Figure 1) and built-in ON/OFF switch.
This heater is for use at l20 volt AC only.
Heaters may be cleaned using a damp cloth or sponge and a mild detergent. Never submerge or soak heater in
water
. Heaters may be repainted if desired. Use only high
temperature water based acrylic paints.
Always unplug heaters when not in use. When heaters are not to be used for an extended period of time, cord should be coiled and tied to prevent damage and heater should be stored in a safe location.
If heater fails to operate or if heater or power cord becomes damaged, unplug and discontinue use.
DO NOT
attempt to repair the heater. If the heater fails during the
warranty period, return to place of purchase or to the fac­tory as outlined in the
LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT
below. Occasionally a new heater will emit a slight new smell
odor during initial use. This smell should dissipate within the first hour of use.
