Information about the PrototypeInformation zum Vorbild

Da 1910 bei der Elektriﬁ zierung der Seetalbahn ein Betriebssystem mit 5500 Volt / 25 Hz gewählt wurde, musste auch 1926 bei der Neuanschaffung von 3 Lokomotiven für diese Strecken dieses Betriebssystem berücksichtigt werden. Die geplante Umstellung auf das bei der SBB übliche System mit 15000 V / 16 2/3 Hz wurde jedoch bei der Konstruktion bereits berücksichtigt.

Beim Anforderungsproﬁ l an diese neue Lokomotive stechen die Forderungen nach guter Kurvengängigkeit, einem geringen maximal zulässigen Achsdruck von 12 t und einer Beförderungslast von 200 t bei einer Steigung von 36 ‰ hervor. Konstruktiv wurde diesem durch den Einsatz von zwei dreiachsigen Treibgestellen Rechnung getragen. Wegen der optischen Parallelen zur bekannten Schweizer Elektrolokomotive der Serie Ce 6/8 ist diese Konstruktion als „Seetal-Krokodil“ bekannt geworden.

Since the Seetal Railroad was electriﬁ ed in 1910 with a system for 5,500 volts / 25 Hertz, the purchase of 3 new locomotives in 1926 for these routes had to take into account this power system. The planned change to the system in use on the SBB of 15,000 volts / 16 2/3 Hertz was also included in the design for these locomotives.

The speciﬁ cation proﬁ le for this new locomotive included the requirements for operation on sharp curves, a low maximum axle load of 12 metric tons, and the ability to haul 200 metric tons on a 3.6 % grade. The use of two driving axle groups with 3 axles each proved the correctness of this design. This design became known as the “Seetal Crocodile” due to its similarity in appearance with that of the famous Swiss class Ce 6/8 electric locomotives.

Etant donné qu’en 1910 on avait opté pour une électriﬁ cation des lignes du Seetalbahn en courant alternatif 5500 volts / 25 Hz, il aurait été normal d’en tenir compte lors de l’acquisition de 3 nouvelles locomotives en 1926. Cependant, on a préféré tenir compte de la réadaptation planiﬁ ée du système en vigueur aux CFF, soit 15 000 V / 16 2/3 Hz.

Parmi les caractéristiques assignées à cette nouvelle locomotive, on relève notamment une bonne inscription en courbe, une limite de charge d’essieu ﬁ xée à 12 t et une charge remorquée de 200 t en rampe de 36 ‰. Pour satisfaire à ces exigences, le constructeur a doté la machine de deux groupes moteurs à trois essieux. Compte tenu de sa ressemblance avec la locomotive électrique suisse de la série Ce 6/8, cette nouvelle locomotive a été baptisée du nom de «Seetal-Krokodil».

Met de geplande omzetting op het bij de SBB gebruikelijke systeem van 15 000 V / 16 2/3 Hz werd echter bij de constructie reeds rekening gehouden.

Bij het eisenpakket voor deze nieuwe locomotief ligt de nadruk op een goede loop door bogen, een geringe maximaal toelaatbare asdruk van 12 t en een vervoerslast van 200 t bij een helling van 36 ‰. Constructief werd dit door de inzet van twee drieassige aandrijfdraaistellen ingevuld. Wegens de optische parallellen met de bekende Z

witserse elektrische locomotief uit de serie Ce 6/8 is deze constructie als „Seetal-Krokodil“ bekend geworden.

1. Only the locomotive to be changed maybe present on the track powered by the Mobile Station.

2. Take the locomotive from the database to the locomotive list.

3. Go to the submenu “EDIT LOC”.

4. Change to the submenu “ADDRESS”, “ACC”1) or “VMAX”.

5. Enter the new value and accept it into the system.
