Informationen zum Vorbild:

Für die bayerischen Steilrampen beschaffte die Bayerische Staatsbahn bereits 1911 insgesamt 15 Lokomotiven der Gattung G 5/5. Die fünffach gekuppelten Maschinen waren den bayerischen Traditionen folgend als Vierzylinder-Heißdampfverbundmaschinen ausgelegt. Sie leisteten rund 1.650 PSi und waren damit allen anderen Länderbahn-Bauarten deutlich überlegen. Modernes Zubehör war weiterhin ein Barrenrahmen. Je ein innerer Hochdruckzylinder und ein äußerer Niederdruckzylinder waren zu einem Gussstück zusammengefasst. Eine außenliegende Heusinger-Steuerung mit Hängeeisen besorgte über den gemeinsamen Kolbenschieber der Hoch- und Niederdruckzylinder die Dampfverteilung. Im Jahr 1920 folgten den Maschinen der ersten Serie weitere Loks, die nun etwas verstärkt ausgelegt waren und eine höhere Leistung besaßen. Bis 1924 wurden insgesamt 80 Loks der Nachfolgeserie geliefert und in Dienst gestellt. Die G 5/5 war der stärkste Fünfkuppler aller deutschen Länderbahnen und konnte auf einer Steigung von fünf Promille bis zu 1.210 t mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 40 km/h ziehen. Damit stellte sie locker sowohl die preußische G 10 und G 12 als auch die späteren DRG-Baureihen 50 und 52 in den Schatten. Die DRG übernahm nur noch sieben Maschinen der ersten Serie mit den Nummern 57 501-507. Die Nachbauserie gelangte hingegen komplett zur Reichsbahn, die Maschinen erhielten die Nummern 57 511-590. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg waren nur noch rund 20 Maschinen im Bereich der späteren DB meist abgestellt vorhanden.

Information about the Prototype:

The Bavarian State Railroad purchased 15 class G 5/5 locomotives for the steep Bavarian grades as early as 1911. Following Bavarian tradition, these ﬁve-axle units were designed as four-cylinder super-heated compound units. They generated around 1,650 pounds per square inch and were thus superior to all other provincial railroad designs. One each high-pressure cylinder and an outboard low-pressure cylinder were attached to a cast piece. Outboard-mounted Heusinger valve gear with stirrup pieces provided steam distribution to the high- and low-pressure cylinders by means of common piston slide valves. In 1920, additional locomotives followed the units from the ﬁrst series. These additional units were strengthened in their design and had higher performance. Eighty locomotive of the successor series were delivered and placed into service by 1924. The G 5/5 was the most powerful ﬁve-axle steam locomotive of all the German provincial railroads and could pull up to 1,210 metric tons up a grade of 0.5 % at a speed of 40 km/h / 25 mph. They easily left the Prussian G 10 and G 12 as well as the later DRG classes 50 and 52 in the dust. The DRG only took over seven units from the ﬁrst series with road numbers 57 501-507. The successor series by contrast was fully taken over by the German State Railroad, and the units were given the road numbers 57 511-590. After World War II, only about 20 units were still in existence mostly in storage in the area of the later DB.

Informations concernant la locomotive réelle :

Pour assumer les fortes rampes bavaroises, les chemins de fer de l’Etat bavarois ﬁrent dès 1911 l’acquisition d’au total 15 locomotives du type G 5/5. Selon les traditions bavaroises, ces machines à cinq essieux couplés étaient conçues comme machines compound quatre cylindres à vapeur surchauffée. Elles fournissaient une puissance de 1650 ch, bien supérieure à celle de tous les autres types des Länderbahn. Chaque paire constituée d’un cylindre haute pression et d’un cylindre basse pression formaient une seule pièce de fonte. Une distribution Heusinger extérieure avec tiges de suspension assurait la répartition de la vapeur via le tiroir cylindrique commun des cylindres haute et basse pression. En 1920, les machines de la première série furent suivies par d’autres locomotives, de conception un peu plus robuste et plus puissantes. Jusqu’en 1924, au total 80 locos de la série suivante furent livrées et mises en service. La G 5/5 était la loco à cinq essieux couplés la plus puissante de tous les Länderbahn allemands et pouvait franchir une rampe de cinq pour mille en remorquant une charge de 1210 t à une vitesse de 40 km/h. Elle volait donc facilement la vedette aussi bien aux G 10 et G 12 prussiennes qu’aux séries ultérieures 50 et 52 de la DRG. La DRG ne reprit que sept machines de la première série, portant les numéros 57 501 à 507. La série suivante arriva par contre entièrement à la Reichsbahn et les machines se virent attribuer les numéros 57 511à 590. Après la seconde guerre mondiale, seules 20 machines furent conservées dans le parc de la future DB, pour la plupart remisées.

Voor de steile Beierse hellingen schafte de Beierse staatsbaan reeds in 1911 in totaal 15 locomotieven aan van het type G 5/5. De vijfvoudig aangedreven machines waren volgens de Beierse traditie als viercilinder natte-stoom verbandsmachines opgezet. Ze leverden rond 1.650 PK en waren daarmee duidelijk superieur aan alle andere Länderbahn-soorten. Telkens één binnenste hogedrukcilinder en een buitenste lagedrukcilinder ware tot één gietstuk gecombineerd. Een buitenliggende Neusinger-aandrijving met hangijzers verzorgde over de gemeenschappelijke zuigerschuiver van de hoge en lagedrukcilinders voor de stoomverdeling. In 1920 volgenden op de machines van de eerste serie nog meer locs die nu wat sterker waren opgezet en meer vermogen bezaten. Tot 1924 werden in totaal 80 locs van de vervolgserie geleverd en in dienst gesteld. De G 5/5 was de sterkste vijfvoudig aangedreven machine van alle Duitse Länderbahnen en kon op een helling van vijf promille tot

1.210 ton trekken met een snelheid van 40 km/u. Daarmee stelde ze locs in de schaduw zoals de Pruisische G 10 en G 12 maar ook de latere DRG-series 50 en 52. De DRG nam nog slechts zeven machines over uit de eerste serie met de nummers 57 501-507. De vervolgserie belandde echter in zijn geheel bij de Reichsbahn, de machines kregen de nummers 57 5110590. Na de tweede wereldoorlog waren nog slechts 20 machines op het gebied van de latere DB voor het grootste deel buiten dients gesteld aanwezig.

Sicherheitshinweise

Remarques importantes sur la sécurité

• La locomotive ne peut être mise en service qu’avec un système d’exploitation adéquat (Märklin AC, Märklin Delta, Märklin Digital ou Märklin Systems).

• Utiliser uniquement des convertisseurs et transformateurs correspondant à la tension du secteur local.

• La locomotive ne peut être alimentée en courant que par une seule source de courant.

• Veuillez impérativement respecter les remarques sur la sécurité décrites dans le mode d’emploi de votre système d’exploitation.

• Pour l’exploitation de la locomotive en mode conventionnel, la voie de raccordement doit être déparasitée. A cet effet, utiliser le set de déparasitage réf. 74046. Le set de déparasitage ne convient pas pour l’exploitation en mode numérique.

• Ne pas exposer le modèle à un ensoleillement direct, à de fortes variations de température ou à un taux d‘humidité important.

Veiligheidsvoorschriften

• De loc mag alleen met een daarvoor bestemd bedrijfssysteem (Märklin AC, Märklin Delta, Märklin digitaal of Märklin Systems) gebruikt worden.

• Alleen net-adapters en transformatoren gebruiken waarvan de aangegeven netspanning overeenkomt met de netspanning ter plaatse.

• De loc mag niet vanuit meer dan een stroomvoorziening gelijktijdig gevoed worden.

• Lees ook aandachtig de veiligheidsvoorschriften in de gebruiksaanwijzing van uw bedrijfssysteem.

• Voor het conventionele bedrijf met de loc dient de aansluitrail te worden ontstoort. Hiervoor dient men de ontstoor-set 74046 te gebruiken. Voor het digitale bedrijf is deze ontstoor-set niet geschikt.

• Stel het model niet bloot aan in directe zonnestraling, sterke temperatuurwisselingen of hoge luchtvochtigheid.

• OPGEPAST! Functionele scherpe kanten en punten.

• Ingebouwde LED’s komen overeen met de laserklasse 1 volgens de norm EN 60825-1.

Aviso de seguridad

• La locomotora solamente debe funcionar en un sistema de corriente propio (Märklin AC – Märklin Delta – Märklin Digital o Märklin Systems).

• Emplear únicamente fuentes de alimentación conmutadas y transformadores que sean de la tensión de red local.

• La alimentación de la locomotora deberá realizarse descle una sola fuente de suminitro.

• Observe bajo todos los conceptos, las medidas de seguridad indicadas en las instrucciones de su sistema de funcionamiento.

• Para el funcionamiento convencional de la locomotora deben suprimirse las interferencias en la vía de conexión de la alimentación. Para ello debe emplearse el set supresor de interferencias 74046. El set supresor de interferencias no es adecuado para el funcionamiento en modo digital.

• No exponer el modelo en miniatura a la radiación solar directa, a oscilaciones fuertes de temperatura o a una humedad del aire elevada.

• ¡ATENCIÓN! Esquinas y puntas aﬁladas condicionadas a la función.

• Los LEDs incorporados corresponden a la clase de láser 1 según la norma europea EN 60825-1.

Notas importantes

• Las instrucciones de empleo y el embalaje forman parte íntegra del producto y, por este motivo, deben guardarse y entregarse junto con el producto en el caso de venderlo o transmitirlo a otro.

Avvertenze per la sicurezza

• Tale locomotiva deve essere impiegata soltanto con un sistema di funzionamento adeguato per questa (Märklin AC, Märklin Delta, Märklin Digital oppure Märklin Systems).

• Impiegare soltanto alimentatori “switching“ e trasformatori che corrispondono alla Vostra tensione di rete locale.

• La locomotiva non deve venire alimentata nello stesso tempo con più di una sorgente di potenza.

• Vogliate prestare assolutamente attenzione alle avvertenze di sicurezza nelle istruzioni di impiego per il Vostro sistema di funzionamento.

• Per il funzionamento tradizionale della locomotiva il binario di alimentazione deve essere protetto dai disturbi. A tale scopo si deve impiegare il corredo antidisturbi 74046. Tale corredo antidisturbi non è adatto per il funzionamento Digital.

• Non esponete tale modello ad alcun irraggiamento solare diretto, a forti escursioni di temperatura oppure a elevata umidità dell’aria.

• AVVERTENZA! Per motivi funzionali i bordi e le punte sono spigolosi.

• I LED incorporati corrispondono alla categoria di laser 1 secondo la Norma EN 60825-1.

Säkerhetsanvisningar

• Loket får endast köras med ett därtill avsett driftsystem (Märklin AC, Märklin Delta, Märklin Digital eller Märklin Systems).

• Använd endast nätadaptrar och transformatorer anpassade för det lokala elnätet.

• Loket får inte samtidigt försörjas av mer än en kraftkälla.

• Beakta alltid säkerhetsanvisningarna i bruksanvisningen som hör till respektive driftsystemet.

• När motorvagnens lokdel ska köras med konventionell/ analog drift måste anlutningsskenan vara avstörd. Till detta använder man anslutningsgarnityr 74046 med avstörning och överbelastningsskydd. Avstörningsskyddet får inte användas vid digital körning.

• Modellen får inte utsättas för direkt solljus, häftiga temperaturväxlingar eller hög luftfuktighet.

• VARNING! Funktionsbetingade vassa kanter och spetsar.

• Inbyggda LED (lysdioder) motsvarar laser-klass 1 enligt Ennorm 60825-1.

Vink om sikkerhed

• Lokomotivet må kun bruges med et driftssystem (Märklin AC, Märklin Delta, Märklin Digital eller Märklin Systems), der er beregnet dertil.

• Anvend kun DC-DC-omformere og transformatorer, der passer til den lokale netspænding.

• Lokomotivet må ikke forsynes fra mere end én strømkilde ad gangen.

• Vær under alle omstændigheder opmærksom på de vink om sikkerhed, som ﬁndes i brugsanvisningen for Deres driftssystem.

• Ved konventionel drift af lokomotivet skal tilslutningssporet støjdæmpes. Dertil skal anvendes støjdæmpningssættet

74046. Støjdæmpningssættet er ikke egnet til digital drift.

• Modellen må ikke udsættes for direkte sollys, store temperaturudsving eller høj luftfugtighed.

Potentielle Fehlerquellen beim Rauchgenerator

• Der Rauchgenerator darf nur maximal halb mit Rauchöl gefüllt sein.

• Im Rauchgenerator darf sich keine Luftblase beﬁnden.

• Der Anschlussdraht an der Unterseite des Rauchgenerators muss sicheren Kontakt zur Anschlussfeder im Lokomotiv-Fahrgestell besitzen.

Causes d‘erreurs potentielles Avec le générateur fumigène

• Le générateur fumigène ne peut pas être rempli de liquide fumigène au-delà de la moitié du tube.

• Aucune bulle d‘air ne peut se trouver dans le générateur fumigène.

• Le câble de raccordement raccordé à la face inférieure du fumigène doit posséder un contact sûr avec le ressort de connexion dans le châssis de la locomotive.

Potential Problems with the Smoke Generator

• The smoke generator cannot be ﬁlled any more than halfway with smoke ﬂuid.

• There should not be any air bubbles in the smoke generator.

• The connecting wire on the underside of the smoke generator must have a clean contact with the connection ﬁeld in the locomotive’s frame.

Potentiële storingsoorzaken bij rookgeneratoren

• De rookgenerator mag maximaal half met rookolie gevuld worden.

• In de rookgenerator mag zich geen luchtbel bevinden.

• Llenar el cartucho solamente hasta la mitad con líquido fumígeno.

• Prestar atención que no se forme una burbuja de aire en el cartucho.

• El hilo tomacorriente de la base debe tener un buen contacto con el resorte que está en el bastidor de la locomotora.

• Rökgeneratorn får maximalt fyllas till hälften med rökvätska

• I rökgeneratorn får inte ﬁnnas någon luftblåsa
