Informationen zum Vorbild

VT 10.5 – „Senator“ für den Tag, „Komet“ für die Nacht. Anfang der 1950er-Jahre entwickelte die Deutsche Bundesbahn

(DB) zwei Gliedertriebzüge für den Fernverkehr. Die Konstruktion entstand unter Beteiligung von Franz Kruckenberg, der sich bereits in den 1930er-Jahren einen Namen mit Schnellfahrzeugen machte. Bei der Entwicklung der beiden Triebwagen konnte er auf wertvolle Erfahrungen zurückgreifen, die bereits mit dem Schienenzeppelin und dem SVT 135 155 gemacht wurden: hohe Geschwindigkeit durch weitgehenden, kompromisslosen Leichtbau aus Aluminium. Erstmals wurden die beiden Gliederzüge auf der Deutschen Verkehrsausstellung (DVA) in München 1953 vorgestellt: Der VT 10 501, gebaut von Linke-Hofmann-Busch als Tageszug „Senator“ für die DB und der von Wegmann gefertigte VT 10 551 als Nachtzug „Komet“ für die Deutsche Schlafwagen- und Speisewagengesellschaft (DSG). Abgesehen vom Einsatz und der Farbgebung wiesen die zwei Züge Bauartunterschiede auf. Während die Wagen des „Senator“ mit Einachslaufwerken ausgestattet waren, hatte der „Komet“ Jacobs-Drehgestelle zwischen den Einheiten. Bei beiden Zügen wiesen die Endwagen jeweils ein zweiachsiges Triebgestell auf. In den Motorwagen arbeiteten MAN-Dieselmotoren mit ursprünglich 118 kW, später mit 154 kW Leistung. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit betrug 120 km/h; eine geplante Erhöhung auf 160 km/h unterblieb. Die Kraftübertragung war hydraulisch mittels Viergang-Getriebe. Der „Senator“ bot seinen Fahrgästen 135 Sitze in der 1. Klasse, davon 24 Liegesitze.

Mit Beginn des Sommerfahrplans 1954 nahmen die Züge den regulären Betrieb auf. Der „Senator“ war bis zum Juni 1956 im Fahrgasteinsatz.

Information about the Prototype

VT 10.5 – “Senator“ by Day, “Komet“ by Night. At the start of the Fifties, the German Federal Railroad (DB) de-

veloped two articulated powered rail car trains for long distance service. Franz Kruckenberg, who had already made a name for himself in the Thirties with fast vehicles, participated in the design. In the development of the two powered rail car trains, he was able to go back to valuable experience that had already been made with the Rail Zeppelin and the SVT 135 155: high speed resulting from largely all-aluminum lightweight construction. These two articulated powered rail car trains were presented for the ﬁrst time at the German Transportation Exhibition (DVA) in Munich in 1953: The VT 10 501, built by Linke-Hofmann-Busch as a daytime train “Senator“ for the DB, and the VT 10 551, built by Wegmann as the overnight train “Komet“ for the German Sleeping Car and Dining Car Company (DSG). In addition to their use and paint scheme, these two trains also had design differences. While the cars for the “Senator“ were equipped with single-axle running gear, the “Komet“ had Jacobs trucks between the cars. The end cars on both trains each had a two-axle power truck. MAN diesel motors with originally a performance of 118 kilowatts / 158 horsepower, later with 154 kilowatts / 206 horsepower, were used in the motor cars. The maximum speed was 120 km/h / 75 mph; a planned increase to 160 km/h / 100 mph was not carried out. The power transmission was done hydraulically by means of a four-speed transmission. The “Senator“ offered its passengers 135 seats in 1st class, 24 of them reclining seats.

The trains went into regular service with the beginning of the summer schedule in 1954. The “Senator“ was in use until June of 1956.

VT 10.5 – «Sénateur» le jour, «Comète» la nuit. Au début des années cinquante, la Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB)

conçut deux rames automotrices articulées pour le traﬁc de grands parcours. La construction se ﬁt sous la direction de Franz Kruckenberg, qui s’était déjà fait un nom dans les années 30 avec des véhicules rapides. Lors de la conception des deux éléments moteurs, il put s’appuyer sur des expériences précieuses déjà faites avec le «Zeppelin du rail» et le SVT 135 155 : Grande vitesse grâce à une construction légère sans compromis, autant que possible en aluminium. Les deux trains articulés furent présentés pour la première fois à la «Deutsche Verkehrsausstellung» (exposition des moyens de transport) à Munich en 1953 : Le VT 10 501, train de jour construit pour la DB par Linke-Hofmann-Busch sous le nom de «Senator», et le VT 10 551, train de nuit construit par Wegmann pour la «Deutsche Schlafwagen- und Speisewagengesellschaft» (compagnie allemande des wagons-lits et wagons-restaurants) et baptisé «Komet». Affectation et livrée mises à part, les deux trains se différenciaient par leur type de construction. Les éléments moteurs abritaient des moteurs diesel MAN d’une puissance de 118 kW à l’origine, plus tard de 154 kW. La vitesse maximale était de 120 km/h ; un passage à 160 km/h, envisagé un moment, ne fut pas appliqué. Le système de transmission était hydraulique à 4 vitesses. Le «Sénateur» offrait à ses voyageurs 135 places en 1re classe dont 24 sièges inclinables.

Les trains prirent le service régulier à partir de l’horaire d’été 1954. Jusqu’en juin 1956, le «Senator» était affecté au service voyageurs.

Bundesbahn 2 gelede treinen voor het interlokale verkeer. De constructie ontstond onder deelname van Franz Kruckenberg die zich reeds in de jaren 1930 met snelle voertuigen naam gemaakt had. Bij de ontwikkeling van de beide treinstellen kon hij op waardevolle ervaringen teruggrijpen, die reeds met de Railzeppelin en de SVT 135 155 gerealiseerd waren: hoge snelheid door zo ver mogelijk doorgevoerde, compromisloze lichte bouw uit aluminium. • Die Lok darf nur aus einer Leistungsquelle versorgt

werden.

• Beachten Sie unbedingt die Sicherheitshinweise in der

Bedienungsanleitung zu Ihrem Betriebssystem.

• Für den konventionellen Betrieb der Lok muss das

Anschlussgleis entstört werden. Dazu ist das Entstörset 74046 zu verwenden. Für Digitalbetrieb ist das Entstörset nicht geeignet.

• Setzen Sie das Modell keiner direkten Sonneneinstrahlung, starken Temperaturschwankungen oder hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit aus.

Veiligheidsvoorschriften

• Alleen net-adapters en transformatoren gebruiken

waarvan de aangegeven netspanning overeenkomt met de netspanning ter plaatse.

• De loc mag niet vanuit meer dan één stroomvoorziening

gelijktijdig gevoed worden.

• Lees ook aandachtig de veiligheidsvoorschriften in de

gebruiksaanwijzing van uw bedrijfssysteem.

• Voor het conventionele bedrijf met de loc dient de

aansluitrail te worden ontstoort. Hiervoor dient men de ontstoor-set 74046 te gebruiken. Voor het digitale bedrijf is deze ontstoor-set niet geschikt.

• Stel het model niet bloot aan in directe zonnestraling,

sterke temperatuurwisselingen of hoge luchtvochtigheid.

• OPGEPAST! Functionele scherpe kanten en punten.

Belangrijke aanwijzing

• De gebruiksaanwijzing en de verpakking zijn een bestanddeel van het product en dienen derhalve bewaard en meegeleverd te worden bij het doorgeven van het product.

• Voor reparatie of onderdelen kunt u zich tot uw Märklin

handelaar wenden.

Aviso de seguridad
