Digital Torque Gauge (Mark-10 MGT100)
Digital Torque Gauges’ are used to measure the torque (moment) around a specific point.

Procedure
1) Attach appropriate add-on piece
2) Turn on machine (“Power”)
3) Reset recording to 0 (Press “Zero” button)
4) Perform test
5) Press “Peak” to find maximum force
a. Peak is measured in clockwise (CW) and counter-clockwise (CCW) directions. To scroll
through, press “Peak” to find correct measurement
6) Press “Zero” to reset readings
Measurements
- KGMM (Kilogram-millimetre kg-mm)
- NCM (Newton-centimetre N-cm)
- LBIN (Pound-Inch lb-in)
Sampling Methods
• Account for the time of day (morning, afternoon, evening etc.)
• Consider the amount of times the action is performed throughout the shift
• Consider the timing of the reading (ie start of shift, middle of shift, end of shift)
• Consider the time of reading if taken during shift work, sometimes shift work is slow at the
beginning and slows down as shift comes to an end
• Determine if outside weather affects the reading (open or close area)
Notes
• Consider if action is performed by dominate hand, non-dominate hand or both hands
• Consider if the action requires assistance (ie does the object need to be held by one hand while
the action is performed with the other hand)
