1. Introduction

This manual has been compiled to help you to operate your craft with safety and pleasure. It contains details of the craft, the equipment supplied or fitted, its systems, and information on its operation and maintenance. Please read it carefully, and familiarize yourself with the craft before using it.

If this is your first craft, or you are changing to a type of craft you are not familiar with, for your own comfort and safety, please ensure that you obtain handling and operating experience before assuming command of the craft. Your dealer or national sailing federation or yacht club will be pleased to advise you of local sea schools, or competent instructors.

PLEASE KEEP THIS MANUAL IN A SECURE PLACE AND HAND IT OVER TO THE NEW OWNER WHEN YOU SELL THE CRAFT.

2. Description

2.1 Design Categories

Category A - “Ocean”. Craft designed for extended voyages where conditions experienced may exceed wind force8

(Beaufort scale) and include significant wave heights of 4 m, for vessels that are largely self-sufficient. Category B - “Offshore”. Craft designed for offshore voyages where conditions up to and including wind force 8 and

significant wave heights up to and including 4 m may be experienced. Category C - “Inshore”. Craft designed for voyages in coastal waters, large bays, estuaries, lakes and rivers, where

conditions up to and including wind force 6 and significant wave heights up to and including 2 m may be experienced. Category D - “Sheltered Waters”. Craft designed for voyages on small lakes, rivers and canals, where conditions up to

and including wind force 4 and significant wave heights up to and including 0.5 m may be experienced.

2.3.2 Safety Considerations

Read this manual carefully. If you have any questions, contact your dealer. Safety and operating information that is practiced along with using good common sense can help prevent personal injury and product damage.

WARNING

DO NOT OVERPOWER AND/OR OVERLOAD! Overpowering and/or overloading can result in severe handling and/or stability problems.

WARNING

Do not operate your boat if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

DANGER

When operating under power, AL W A YS use a lanyard switch that will stop the engine if, for any reason, the operator leaves the control.

WARNING

When operating under power, make sure everyone is properly seated. Without passengers, weight should be as far forward as practical. Rapid acceleration should be avoided to prevent the possibility of backward flipovers.

CAUTION

Be considerate of other boaters, swimmers as well as persons and property along the shore.

2.3.3 Safety Equipment

Required safety equipment may vary from country to country or region to region. Check with the local water authorities for more information before using the boat.

CAUTION

Check regularly condition of the life jackets and make sure of the availability of flotation devices.

WARNING

Wear a life jacket when operating you boat. Children and non-swimmers should ALWAYS wear a life jacket. Have personal flotation devices available immediately.

CAUTION

Be aware of the risk of fire if carrying flammable liquid such as petrol on board. Always have a fire extinguisher at hand.

3. General Information

3.1 Drain Plug

The drain plug may be different from models. When opened, this drain plug allows water to drain out during storage. Be sure that the drain plug is in place and tight before handling the boat.

3.2 Lights

Control the running lights for night operation.

3.3 Fuse/Circuit Breakers

The electric starting circuit is protected from overload by a fuse. If the fuse is blown, the electric circuit will not operate. Locate and correct the cause of overload. If the cause is not found, the fuse may blow again. Replace the fuse with a fuse of the same rating. In case you cannot locate the cause of overload have your boat inspected by the nearest dealer.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

4.1.1 Natural Aluminum Surfaces

An occasional rinse with clear water or mild detergent will keep the aluminum portions of your boat clean.

4.1.2 Painted aluminum Surfaces

The painted surfaces of your boat should not be cleaned except with clear water for several weeks when the boat is new to allow the paint to cure properly. After curing, the finish may be protected by a liquid cleaner wax or automotive paste wax. Harsh chemical cleaners or abrasives should never be used. When in doubt, test a small unnoticeable spot before cleaning or waxing a large area. Always wash dirt off of a painted surface with clear water before rubbing with any cleaner or wax.

WARNING

Cleaning agents and paints may be flammable, explosive or dangerous to inhale. Use paint only in well-ventilated conditions and wear safety clothes (glasses, gloves, etc.).

4.1.3 Salt Water Information

This hull is made of high quality 5052 marine aluminum recommended for salt water use. However, care must be taken in both salt water and fresh water to avoid creating electrolytic action. DO NOT place steel, brass, bronze or copper fittings in direct contact with the aluminium.

CAUTION

Under no conditions should a copper, lead, arsenic or mercury based antifouling paint be applied, either with or without the use of a primer coat.

To prolong the beauty of your boat use fresh water to wash salt deposits off bare aluminum trim.

4.2 Repairs

Other than accidents, most problems requiring repairs necessary in aluminum hulls can be traced to improper trailering. Before making repairs, check to find the cause of the damage and correct the cause to eliminate future trouble.

4.2.1 Loose Rivets

Temporary repairs can be made by simply cleaning around the head of the rivet with a wire brush and applying sealant around the head. Rivets can be re-tightened by using a steel hammer and punching tool (steel block). The bucking tool should be shaped to fit the head of the rivet. Place the bucking tool against the rivet head and strike the flattened end of the rivet inside the hull with the steel hammer.

4.2.2 Broken Rivets

Drill out the remainder of the rivet using a drill bit slightly larger than the original rivet. Inserting a sheet metal screw, which has been dipped in sealer, can make temporary repairs. Permanent replacement should be made with an oversized solid aluminum rivet. Pop rivets cannot be used where a watertight seal or structural fastener is needed.

4.2.3 Pop Rivets

Pop rivets are used to fasten floors, castings, and other trim in place. They can be removed by first inserting a small punch through the centre hole and tapping out the core. Once this centre core is removed a drill bit will drill out the remainder of the rivet. The pop rivet hole can then be filled with a standard sheet metal screw if popriveting equipment is not available.

4.3 Trailering

Choosing a trailer to match a new boat is important and requires careful selection. An improper trailer can cause boat hull damage that may void the new boat warranty . Select a trailer with the proper weight carrying capacity and one that offers adequate support. A VOID trailers that minimize support points, concentrating the load onto a few small areas of the boat hull and possibly causing structural damage.

If you select a roller trailer it should have a sufficient number of rollers to support the weight of the boat. Bunk trailers should have long, straight, longitudinal bunks, which spread support amongst several of the boat cross ribs.

The side supports should run the length of the boat, parallel to the keel and should support the aft 1/3 of the hull, extending beyond the transom.

If bow and centre supports are used, they should not exert any great amount of pressure on the unsupported skin of the hull where flexing may take place as the trailer absorbs rough road impacts. Bow and centre supports should be fitted to the contour of the hull and be placed directly under a cross rib.

The aluminum hull should not come into direct contact with any steel portion of the trailer. Care should be taken in adjusting any rollers or the misadjusted roller can damage the hull at the point of contact.

The boat should be securely fastened down to the trailer to prevent any bouncing against supports.

4.4 Storage

Thoroughly cleaning your boat inside and out before storing will save much time and work when taking the boat out of storage. The keel has a drain hole at the forward end for draining. After the keel is drained, store the boat with the bow higher than the stern and leave the transom drain plug out to promote thorough and continuous draining.

If a boat is covered, adequate ventilation should be provided to assure evaporation of any condensed moisture.

5. Environmental Considerations

5.1 Cleaning Agents

Do not mix cleaning agents. Regular household cleaners can be used provided they are not discharged in the water. Never use abrasive products or cleaners containing chlorine, phosphates, solvents, harsh chemical and petroleum based products. Use biodegradable cleaners.

WARNING

Cleaning agents may be flammable, explosive or dangerous to inhale. Use cleaners only in well-ventilated conditions and wear appropriate safety clothes (glasses, gloves, etc.).

5.2 Exhaust Emissions

T o avoid water and air pollution by increased exhaust emissions have your engine properly maintained and clean the hull of your boat. Contact your dealer and read carefully your Operation & Maintenance Manual for further information on your engine.

5.3 Fuel/Oil Spillage

Environment is very sensitive to spilling of fuel or oil into the water. This can also be dangerous for swimmers as well as wildlife. It is strictly prohibited to discharge or dispose fuel or oil into the water, i.e., by overfilling the fuel tank or by draining contaminated bilge water.

5.4 Noise

Excessive noise does not mean only engine noise but also conversations, music, etc. For more information on noise limits please contact the water authorities. Remember that any kind of noise can carry a very long distance on water.

5.5 Paint

Usage of anti-fouling paint to reduce marine growth may be limited by environmental regulations. Contact local water authorities for more information.

Paint components may be flammable, explosive or dangerous to inhale. Use paint only in well-ventilated conditions and wear appropriate safety clothes (glasses, gloves, etc.).

5.6 Wake/Wash

Check for NO WAKE zones. When reaching a NO WAKE area reduce your speed until no wave is observed by coming off plane. Your responsibility could be involved in case of damage or injury.

5.7 Waste

Never discharge any kind of waste overboard. Waste can be garbage, food, wood, cleaning agents, plastics, etc. but the list may vary from country to country or region to region. It is recommended you keep all in the boat for discharge at the marina. For more information contact the local water authorities.

Respect of the environment guarantees the quality of life. If you want to appreciate beauty of nature have a careful and responsible attitude.

6. Limited Warranty

For boats and factory installed accessories (collectively referred to as “Boats”) used solely for non-commercial purpose and sold in a country authorized by Marine Power Europe, Marine Power Europe (MPE) warrants to the original consumer that:

For Boats used for commercial purposes and sold in a country authorized by Marine Power Europe, Marine Power Europe warrants to the original consumer that the boat shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of retail purchase.

Marine Power Europe will, at its option, repair or replace any product covered by this warranty that proves defective. This warranty shall become effective upon Marine Power Europe’s receipt of the W arranty Registration Card, which shall identify the Boat by hull identification number. Marine Power Europe reserves the right to improve the design of the Boats without assuming any obligations to modify any Boats previously manufactured.

To obtain warranty service, you must bring your boat together with your Warranty Registration Card, to an authorized Marine Power Europe dealer. You must pay for all related transportation charges and/or travel time to and from an authorized service centre. Warranty parts and service must be obtained through an authorized dealer or service centre. Warranty claims will not be accepted without presentation of the Warranty Registration Card.

This warranty does not cover defects resulting from normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, alteration, failure to observe care and maintenance procedures, attempted disassembly, participation in racing or other competitive activity, unauthorized repair of installation service, or use of a mismatched engine shaft. In addition, this warranty does not cover repair/cuts in upholstery, paint fading or cracking, oxidation electrolysis or galvanic corrosion.

2. Description

3. Informations générales

3.1 Bouchon de vidange

Le bouchon de vidange peut varier d’un modèles à l’autre. Lorsqu’il est ouvert, il permet de vidanger l’eau au cours du remisage. Assurez-vous que ce bouchon est présent et bien serré avant d’utiliser le bateau.

3.2 Feux

Vérifiez le fonctionnement des feux lors des déplacements nocturnes.

3.3 Fusible/Disjoncteurs

Le circuit de démarrage électrique est protégé des surcharges par un fusible. Si ce dernier saute, le circuit électrique ne fonctionne pas. Localisez et corrigez la cause de la surcharge. Sinon, le fusible risque de ressauter. Remplacez le fusible par un modèle de même calibre. Si vous ne parvenez pas à localiser la cause de la surcharge, faites inspecter votre bateau par le revendeur le plus proche.

4. Entretien

4.1 Nettoyage

4.1.1 Surfaces en aluminium non traité

Rincez occasionnellement à l’eau propre ou avec un détergent doux pour maintenir propres les surfaces en aluminium de votre bateau.

4.1.2 Surfaces en aluminium peint

Si votre bateau est neuf, ses surfaces peintes ne doivent être nettoyées qu’avec de l’eau propre pendant plusieurs semaines pour permettre à la peinture de durcir correctement. Après cette période, le fini peut être protégé par une cire de nettoyage liquide ou une cire automobile en pâte. N’utilisez jamais de produits de nettoyage chimiques décapants ni d’abrasifs. En cas de doute, testez une petite partie dissimulée du bateau avant de nettoyer ou de cirer une portion plus large. Nettoyez toujours les surfaces peintes avec de l’eau propre avant de leur appliquer un produit de nettoyage ou une cire.

AVERTISSEMENT

Les agents de nettoyage et les peintures peuvent être inflammables, explosifs ou toxiques. N’utilisez des peintures que dans des locaux bien ventilés et portez des vêtements de sécurité (lunettes, gants, etc.).

4.1.3 Informations sur l’eau salée

Cette coque est fabriquée à partir d’aluminium marin 5052 de haute qualité recommandé pour l’utilisation en eau de mer. Il convient, cependant, en eau salée ou en eau douce, d’éviter de créer une action électrolytique. NE placez AUCUN brin d’acier, de laiton, de bronze ou de cuivre en contact direct avec l’aluminium.

ATTENTION

N’appliquez jamais de peinture antisalissure à base de cuivre, de plomb, d’arsenic ou de mercure, avec ou sans couche d’apprêt.

Pour prolonger la beauté de votre bateau, utilisez de l’eau douce pour enlever les dépôts de sel qui se sont accumulés sur les garnitures en aluminium non traité.

4.2 Réparations

En dehors des accidents, la plupart des problèmes qui surviennent sur les coques en aluminium et qui nécessitent des réparations sont dus à un mauvais remorquage. Avant d’effectuer ces réparations, déterminez la cause des dégâts et corrigez le problème pour éviter qu’il ne se reproduise.

4.2.1 Rivets desserrés

Des réparations temporaires peuvent être effectuées en nettoyant simplement la tête du rivet avec une brosse métallique et en lui appliquant un produit d’étanchéité. Les rivets peuvent être resserrés à l’aide d’un marteau en acier et d’un outil de poinçonnage (bloc d’acier). L’outil de découpage doit être modelé de manière à correspondre à la tête du rivet. Placez l’outil contre cette dernière et frappez l’extrémité aplatie du rivet, à l’intérieur de la coque, avec le marteau en acier.

4.2.2 Rivets cassés

Retirez le reste du rivet par forage en utilisant une mèche d’un diamètre légèrement supérieur à celui du rivet d’origine. L’utilisation d’une vis à tôle préalablement trempée dans un produit d’étanchéité peut permettre d’ef fectuer des réparations temporaires. Les remplacements permanents doivent se faire avec un rivet en aluminium plein surdimensionné. Les rivets aveugles ne conviennent pas pour les joints étanches ou les attaches pour construction métallique.

4.2.3 Rivets aveugles

Les rivets aveugles sont utilisés pour maintenir les planchers, les pièces moulées et les autres garnitures en place. Ils peuvent être retirés en introduisant d’abord un petit poinçon par l’orifice central et en extrayant le noyau. Une fois que ce noyau central est retiré, sortez le reste du rivet à l’aide d’une mèche. Le trou laissé par le rivet aveugle peut être ensuite bouché à l’aide d’une vis à tôle standard si vous ne disposez pas d’un équipement spécial.

4.3 Remorquage

Le choix de la remorque est important lorsque vous achetez un nouveau bateau et il doit se faire très méticuleusement. Une remorque qui ne correspond pas au bateau peut endommager la coque et annuler la garantie qui accompagne le nouveau bateau. Choisissez une remorque d’une capacité d’attelage correcte et qui soit suffisamment résistante. EVITEZ les remorques dont les points de soutien ont été minimisés et qui concentrent la charge sur des portions réduites de la coque, entraînant d’éventuelles avaries internes.

Si vous choisissez une remorque à rouleaux, assurez-vous qu’elle dispose de suffisamment de rouleaux pour soutenir le poids du bateau. Les remorques à traverses doivent disposer de longues traverses longitudinales droites qui répartissent la charge entre plusieurs membrures transversales du bateau.

Les supports latéraux doivent faire la longueur du bateau, être parallèles à la quille et soutenir le tiers arrière de la coque, en dépassant au-delà du tableau arrière.

Si des supports de proue et centraux sont utilisés, ils ne doivent pas exercer une pression trop importante sur le revêtement non soutenu de la coque, qui peut accuser des flexions lorsque la remorque absorbe les secousses de la route. Ces supports doivent être ajustés en fonction du profilé de la coque et être placés directement sous une membrure transversale.

La coque en aluminium ne doit jamais toucher les parties en acier de la remorque. Veillez à régler les rouleaux pour éviter d’endommager la coque au point de contact.

Le bateau doit être arrimé solidement à la remorque pour éviter qu’il ne rebondisse contre les supports.

4.4 Remisage

Pour faciliter et accélérer la remise à l’eau du bateau après une période de remisage, nettoyez-le à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur avant de le remiser. La quille est équipée d’un orifice de vidange à son extrémité avant. Une fois que la quille a été vidangée , remisez le bateau en élevant la proue et ne remettez pas le bouchon de vidange du tableau arrière en place pour favoriser un écoulement permanent et suffisant.

Si le bateau est couvert, prévoyez une aération suffisante pour assurer l’évaporation de toute humidité qui pourrait s’y accumuler.

5. Questions d’ordre écologique

5.1 Agents de nettoyage

Ne mélangez pas les agents de nettoyage. Des produits de nettoyage ordinaires peuvent être utilisés en veillant à ce qu’ils ne se déversent pas dans l’eau. N’utilisez jamais de produits abrasifs ou de nettoyants contenant du chlore, des phosphates, des solvants, des produits chimiques décapants ou des produits à base de pétrole. Utilisez des substances biodégradables.

A VERTISSEMENT

Les agents de nettoyage peuvent être inflammables, explosifs ou toxiques. N’utilisez ces produits que dans des locaux bien ventilés et portez des vêtements de sécurité (lunettes, gants, etc.).

5.2 Emissions de gaz d’échappement

Pour éviter de polluer l’eau et l’atmosphère avec les gaz d’échappement, faites entretenir régulièrement votre moteur et nettoyez la coque de votre bateau. Contactez votre revendeur et lisez attentivement le Manuel de fonctionnement et d’entretien pour obtenir des détails sur votre moteur.

5.3 Déversement de carburant/huile

Les déversements de carburant ou d’huile dans l’eau constituent un danger immédiat pour l’environnement. Ils peuvent aussi comporter des risques pour les baigneurs et pour la faune et la flore. Il est strictement interdit de déverser ou de rejeter du carburant ou de l’huile dans l’eau, p. ex., en remplissant trop le réservoir de carburant ou en vidangeant l’eau de cale contaminée.

5.4 Bruit

Un bruit excessif ne signifie pas seulement celui du moteur mais aussi les conversations, la musique, etc. Pour de plus amples informations sur les limites de bruit, contactez les autorités maritimes et fluviales de votre région. N’oubliez pas que le bruit porte beaucoup plus loin sur l’eau.

5.5 Peinture

L’utilisation de peintures antisalissure pour réduire la croissance marine peut être limitée par des règlements concernant la protection de l’environnement. Contactez les autorités maritimes et fluviales locales pour de plus amples informations.

A VERTISSEMENT

Les produits entrant dans la composition des peintures peuvent être inflammables, explosifs ou toxiques. N’utilisez les peintures que dans des locaux bien ventilés et portez des vêtements de sécurité (lunettes, gants, etc.).

5.6 Sillage/remous

Veillez aux zones ATTENTION REMOUS. Lorsque vous traversez une telle zone, réduisez votre vitesse jusqu’à ce qu’aucun sillage ne se forme au sortir du déjaugeage. Vous pouvez être tenu responsable en cas de dégâts matériels ou de préjudices corporels.

5.7 Déchets

Ne déversez aucun déchet par dessus bord. Par déchet on entend ordures, nourriture, bois, produits de nettoyage, plastiques, etc. La liste peut cependant varier d’un pays à un autre ou d’une région à une autre. Il est recommandé de conserver tous ces déchets à bord et de s’en débarrasser lorsque l’on parvient au port. Pour de plus amples informations, contactez les autorités maritimes ou fluviales locales.

2. Beschreibung

2.1 Designkategorien

Kategorie A - “Ocean” (Hochsee). Boote für längere Fahrten, bei denen Betriebsbedingungen bis über Windstärke 8

(Beaufortskala) und Wellen von über 4 m Höhe angetroffen werden können; Schiffe, die mehr oder weniger selbstversorgend sind.

Kategorie B - “Offshore” (See). Boote für Seefahrten, bei denen Betriebsbedingungen bis zu Windstärke 8 und Wellen von bis zu 4 m Höhe angetroffen werden können.

Kategorie C - “Inshore” (Küste). Boote für Fahrten in Küstennähe, große Buchten, Flußmündungen, Seen und Flüsse, bei denen Betriebsbedingungen bis zu Windstärke 6 und Wellen von bis zu 2 m Höhe angetroffen werden können.

Kategorie D - “Sheltered Waters” (geschützte Gewässer). Boote für Fahrten auf kleinen Seen, Flüssen und Kanälen, bei denen Betriebsbedingungen bis zu Windstärke 4 und Wellen von bis zu 0,5 m Höhe angetroffen werden können

VORSICHT

HÖCHSTLEISTUNG UND HÖCHSTLAST NICHT ÜBERSCHREITEN! Überschreiten der Höchstleistung und Höchstlast kann schwere Handhabungs- und Stabilitätsprobleme zur Folge haben.

VORSICHT

Boot nicht unter dem Einfluß von Alkohol oder Drogen betreiben.

GEFAHR

Bei Motorbetrieb IMMER den Not-Stoppschalter (mit Reißleine) verwenden, der den Motor abstellt, falls der Bootsführer aus irgendeinem Grunde das Ruder verläßt.

VORSICHT

Bei Motorbetrieb sicherstellen, daß alle Insassen auf angemessenen Plätzen sitzen. Ohne Passagiere sollte das Gewicht soweit vorne wie möglich verteilt sein. Schnelle Beschleunigung ist zu vermeiden, um einem Sturz nach hinten vorzubeugen.

ACHTUNG

Auf andere Bootsfahrer, Schwimmer sowie Personen und Dinge entlang des Ufers achten.

2.3.3 Sicherheitsausrüstung

Die vorgeschriebene Sicherheitsausrüstung ist von Land zu Land bzw. Region zu Region unterschiedlich. Vor Inbetriebnahme des Bootes die örtliche Wasserschutzbehörde befragen.

ACHTUNG

Den Zustand der Rettungswesten regelmäßig überprüfen und sicherstellen, daß genügend Rettungshilfen vorhanden sind.

VORSICHT

Beim Betrieb des Bootes eine Rettungsweste tragen. Kinder und Nichtschwimmer sollten STETS eine Rettungsweste tragen. Rettungshilfen sofort verfügbar haben.

ACHTUNG

Entzündliche Flüssigkeiten (wie z.B. Benzin) stellen eine Gefahr an Bord dar. Ein Feuerlöscher sollte stets griffbereit sein.

3. Allgemeine Informationen

3.1 Ablaßschraube

Die Ablaßschraube kann sich von Modell zu Modell unterscheiden. Wenn die Schraube geöffnet wird, kann während der Lagerung Wasser ablaufen. Vor Inbetriebnahme des Bootes sicherstellen, daß die Ablaßschraube fest angebracht ist.

3.2 Positionslichter

Schaltet die Positionslichter für Nachtfahrten ein und aus.

3.3 Sicherungen/Sicherungsautomaten

Der elektrische Startschaltkreis wird durch eine Sicherung vor einer Überlastung geschützt. Wenn die Sicherung durchbrennt, funktioniert der elektrische Startschaltkreis nicht mehr. Die Ursache der Überlastung finden und beheben. Wenn die Ursache nicht gefunden wird, kann die Sicherung erneut durchbrennen. Sicherung nur durch eine Sicherung mit derselben Amperezahl ersetzen. Wenn die Ursache für die Überlastung nicht gefunden werden kann, das Boot vom nächsten Händler überprüfen lassen.

4. Wartung

4.1 Reinigung

4.1.1 Unlackierte Aluminiumoberflächen

Gelegentliches Abspülen mit sauberem Wasser oder einem milden Reinigungsmittel hält die Aluminiumteile des Bootes sauber.

4.1.2 Lackierte Aluminiumoberflächen

Die lackierten Bootsflächen sollten in den ersten Wochen höchstens mit klarem Wasser gereinigt werden, damit der Lack gut aushärten kann. Nach dem Aushärten kann das Finish durch einen Flüssigreiniger mit Wachs oder ein Kfz-Pastenwachs geschützt werden. Niemals grobe chemische Reinigungsmittel oder Schleifmittel verwenden. Im Zweifelsfall das Mittel an einer kleinen, unauffälligen Stelle testen, bevor eine große Fläche gewaschen oder gewachst wird. Vor dem Reiben mit einem Reinigungsmittel oder W achs stets den Schmutz von einer lackierten Fläche abwaschen.

VORSICHT

Reinigungsmittel und Lacke können entzündlich oder explosiv sein oder giftige Dämpfe abgeben. Lacke nur an gut belüfteten Stellen verwenden und Schutzkleidung tragen (Schutzbrille, Handschuhe usw.)

4.1.3 Informationen für den Betrieb in Seewasser

Der Rumpf besteht aus qualitativ hochwertigem 5052-Bootsaluminium, das für den Betrieb in Seewasser empfohlen wird. Jedoch muß sowohl in See- als auch in Süßwasser darauf geachtet werden, daß eine elektrolytische Korrosion vermieden wird. Füllungen aus Stahl, Messing, Bronze oder Kupfer NICHT in direkten Kontakt mit dem Aluminium gelangen lassen.

ACHTUNG

Unter keinen Umständen darf ein Antifoulinglack auf Kupfer-, Blei, Arsen- oder Quecksilberbasis aufgetragen werden, weder mit noch ohne Grundierung.

Um die Schönheit Ihres Bootes aufrechtzuerhalten, Salzablagerungen mit Süßwasser von den Aluminiumleisten abwaschen.

4.2 Reparaturen

Die meisten Probleme, die eine Reparatur des Aluminiumrumpfes erforderlich machen, entstehen (mit Ausnahme von Unfällen) durch falschen Anhängertransport. Vor der Durchführung von Reparaturen die Ursache des Schadens ausfindig machen und beheben, um weitere Probleme zu vermeiden.

4.2.1 Lockere Nieten

Vorläufige Reparaturen können durchgeführt werden, indem einfach mit einer Drahtbürste um den Nietenkopf gereinigt und Dichtmittel aufgetragen wird. Nieten können mit einem Stahlhammer und einem Stanzwerkzeug (Stahlblock) wieder befestigt werden. Das Montagewerkzeug sollte nach dem Nietenrand geformt sein. Das Montagewerkzeug am Nietenkopf anlegen und mit dem Stahlhammer auf das flache Ende des Niets im Rumpf schlagen.

4.2.2 Gebrochene Nieten

Den Rest des Niets mit einem Bohrer, der etwas größer ist als der Niet, herausbohren. Eine in Dichtmittel getauchte Blechschraube kann den fehlenden Niet vorläufig ersetzen. Permanent sollte der Niet jedoch durch einen stabilen Aluminiumniet in Übergröße ersetzt werden. Popnieten dürfen nicht an Stellen benutzt werden, an denen eine wasserdichte Abdichtung oder ein Strukturbefestiger erforderlich ist.

4.2.3 Popnieten

Popnieten werden benutzt, um Böden, Gußstücke und andere Verkleidung zu befestigen. Sie können entfernt werden, indem zunächst ein kleines Stanzwerkzeug durch das Loch in der Mitte geführt und dann das Mittelteil herausgeschlagen wird. Wenn das Mittelteil entfernt wurde, kann man mit einem Bohrer den Rest des Niets herausbohren. Das Loch des Popniets kann dann mit einer normalen Blechschraube gefüllt werden, wenn kein Werkzeug zur Installation von Popnieten verfügbar ist.

4.3 Anhängertransport

Ein Anhänger für das neue Boot ist sehr wichtig und muß sorgfältig ausgewählt werden. Der falsche Anhänger kann Schäden am Bootsrumpf verursachen, die nicht von der Bootsgarantie gedeckt werden. Einen Anhänger mit der angemessenen Tragfähigkeit wählen, der das Boot gut stützt. Anhänger , die Stützpunkte auf ein Minimum reduzieren und die Last auf einige wenige Punkte am Bootsrumpf verteilen und möglicherweise Strukturschäden verursachen, MEIDEN.

Wenn Sie einen Rollenanhänger wählen, sollte er genügend Rollen aufweisen, um das Gewicht des Bootes zu tragen. Strebenanhänger sollten lange, gerade Längsstreben aufweisen, die die Last über mehrere Spanten verteilen.

Die Seitenstützen sollten entlang des Boots, parallel zum Kiel führen und das hintere Drittel des Rumpfes bis über den Spiegel hinaus stützen.

Bei Verwendung von Bug- und Mittelstützen darauf achten, daß sie keinen allzu großen Druck auf die nicht gestützte Außenhaut ausüben, damit der Rumpf sich nicht durchbiegt, wenn der Anhänger rauhe Schläge von der Straße abfängt. Bug- und Mittelstützen sollten dem Rumpfprofil angepaßt sein und direkt unter einem Spant angebracht werden.

Der Aluminiumrumpf sollte nicht mit einem Stahlteil des Anhängers in Berührung kommen. Die Rollen müssen sorgfältig eingestellt werden, da falsch positionierte Rollen den Rumpf beschädigen können.

Das Boot sicher auf dem Anhänger befestigen, um zu vermeiden, daß es auf den Stützen aufschlägt.

4.4 Lagerung

Eine gründliche Reinigung des Bootes von innen und außen vor der Lagerung spart viel Zeit und Arbeit, wenn das Boot wieder ausgelagert wird. Der Kiel weist am vorderen Ende eine Ablaßöffnung auf, mit der das Wasser abgelassen werden kann. Wenn alles Wasser aus dem Kiel abgelassen wurde, das Boot so lagern, daß der Bug höher liegt als das Heck, und den Ablaßstopfen am Spiegel herausnehmen, damit jegliches Wasser kontinuierlich ablaufen kann.

Wenn das Boot abgedeckt wird, sollte für ausreichende Belüftung gesorgt werden, um sicherzustellen, daß Kondenswasser entweichen kann.

5. Umweltschutz

5.1 Reinigungsmittel

Nicht verschiedene Reinigungsmittel mischen. Normale Haushaltsreiniger können verwendet werden, sofern sie nicht ins Wasser gelangen. Niemals Schleifmittel verwenden noch Reinigungsmittel, die Chlor, Phosphate, Lösungsmittel, grobe Chemikalien enthalten oder Reinigungsmittel auf Petroleumbasis. Biologisch abbaubare Reinigungsmittel verwenden.

VORSICHT

5.2 Abgasemissionen

Um eine Verschmutzung von Wasser und Luft durch überhöhte Abgasemissionen zu vermeiden, den Motor ordnungsgemäß warten lassen und den Bootsrumpf reinigen. Weitere Informationen über den Motor können beim Händler eingezogen und im Betriebs- und Wartungshandbuch nachgelesen werden.

5.3 Verschütteter(s) Kraftstoff/Öl

Im Wasser verschütteter Kraftstoff bzw . verschüttetes Öl ist äußerst umweltschädlich. Es kann sowohl für Schwimmer als auch für die Natur gefährlich sein. Das Ablassen oder Entsorgen von Kraftstoff und Öl in das Wasser beispielsweise durch Überfüllen des Kraftstofftankes oder Ablassen von verschmutztem Bilgenwasser ist strengstens verboten.

5.4 Lärm

Zu großer Lärm kann nicht nur von Motoren sondern auch durch Gespräche, Musik usw. herrühren. Nähere Informationen über die Lärmgrenze erhalten Sie bei der Wasserschutzbehörde. Denken Sie daran, daß Geräusche auf dem W asser sehr weit zu hören sind.

5.5 Lack

Die Verwendung von bewuchshemmenden Antifouling-Lacken ist möglicherweise durch Umweltschutzgesetze eingeschränkt. Weitere Informationen erhalten Sie bei der örtlichen Wasserschutzbehörde.

VORSICHT

5.6 Kielwasser/Wellenschlag

Auf Gebiete achten, in denen kein Kielwasser gestattet ist. Wenn ein solches Gebiet (NO WAKE) erreicht wird, die Geschwindigkeit zurücknehmen und die Gleitfahrt abbrechen, so daß kein Wellenschlag sichtbar ist. Andernfalls könnten Sie im Schadens- oder Verletzungsfall haftbar gemacht werden.

5.7 Abfall

Keinesfalls Abfälle jeglicher Art über Bord geben.
