Mo unt ing the R adio
1. Choose a m ounting l oc ation o n th e dash bo ar d or instru ment pane l th at will a ll ow room behi nd to run rad io c ables t o th e power s ou rce. Cons ider how yo u wi ll use the AUX IN, LI NE OUT an d USB conne ct ors and r ou te the ap pr opriate e xtensio n cables to a n accessi bl e area.
2. Refer to t he dimens io ned dia gr am on the r ig ht to cut the i nstalla ti on open in g.
IMPORTANT! Do n ot mount th is u nit whe re i t can be su bm erged i n wa ter.
3. Cut a hole i n the dash bo ar d using t he t empla te p rovided i n the back of t hi s manual. At l east 3 ¾”de pt h is need ed t o mount t he r adio.
4. Slide th e include d sp ring wa sh ers (B) o ve r the screw p osts (A) an d at tach th e screw pos ts to the bac k of the radi o.
5. Place th e radio in fr on t of the da sh board o pe ning so the w iring can b e br ought through t he openin g.
NOTE: Bef ore final in st allat io n, test t he w iring c on necti on s to make sur e the unit is con nected pr operly an d th e syste m wo rks.
6. After co mpletin g th e wirin g co nnect io ns, turn th e radio on to c on firm ope ra tion (vehicl e accesso ry s witch m us t be on). I f th e radio d oe s not opera te, reche ck a ll wiring un til the pro bl em is cor re cted. O nc e prope r op eration i s ac hieve d, t urn the accesso ry switch o ff and pr oc eed wit h fin al moun ti ng of the rad io. Refer t o th e “Wiring D iagram” o n pa ge 4.
7. Insert t he radio in to t he moun ti ng hole a nd m ake sure it i s right-s id e-up.
8. Place th e “U” brack et ( C) over t he s crew po st s and sec ur e the radio t o the dash using the i ncluded h ex n uts (D) . If n ecess ar y, cut t he s core mark s (E) on eith er side of the m ounting b ra cket to c us tom fit th e br acket l en gth for you r applica ti on. See Figur e A.
