single Meter or go on the configuration pages of the Gateway (Home PLC).
2.2 Communication with energy meter
In order to activate communication with energy meter user must insert in proper field Serial code
Meter connected the serial number of connected meter.
In case meter does not accept its serial number, please try with 1 to enable generic command.
The confirmation of the changes is recorded using the Submit button.
To make communication with meter working it could be necessary to know the password, depending
on how the meter is configured.
It’s possible to change baudrate of the port connected to meter from Serial port baudrate selection
in case meter works with speed different from 9600 that usually is standard.
Time between readouts can be set from 10 to 3600 seconds.
String debug is useful to understand the communication with meters.
From this page, using the links in the upper part of the page, it’s possible to move on the age with
meter’s data or in the gateway’s configuration page (Home PLC).
Default configuration is: meter connected to COM0 with RS232. It’s possible to modify the used port:
COM0, COM1 (RS232) e COM2 (RS485).
Only for RS232 ports it’s possible to modify the type of connection: RS232 or with optical probe.
Changes are confirmed with Submit button.
With GATEWAY REBOOT/APPLY CHANGES button you can force the gateway to reboot and apply
changes to it.
Modbus RTU for data reading is available on serial ports not used to connect to meter.
2.3 Gateway Settings
To change the gateway settings, such as IP address, you need access to the configuration pages
through the appropriate link (System) in the header of web pages that contain the data read from the
counters.
This brings us to the home screen of the device configuration and clicking on Network Setup, you can
change the network settings of the device.
Credentials to login and modify parameters are: Username = Admin, Password = Admin.
Changes in Hardware Setup and in Network Setup are applied to the gateway after a power reboot.
