This quick install guide presents basic installation steps. For operation details
and specications, refer to the user manual on the included Setup CD or at
manhattan-products.com.
Setup
The SimpleNet Powerline AV500 Ethernet Adapter is a Plug and Play device. By
simply pressing a button, you can securely connect to the Internet or to other
devices (computers, Blu-ray players, game consoles, etc.) on a network.
1. Use the included Ethernet cable to connect the
adapter to your modem or router. If you are
setting up with the Starter Kit, connect one of the
two included adapters to your modem or router.
2. Plug each adapter into an AC power outlet near
the device which you’ll be connecting to that
particular adapter. Caution: Don’t plug SimpleNet Adapters into a power
strip or outlet that uses surge protection, as this may prevent them from
working properly.
3. Once a SimpleNet Adapter is
connected and powered, it

Adding Security to Your Adapter Network
The following steps are optional but highly recommended to ensure maximum
security — important in environments like apartment buildings, where a
wiring system is shared.
• If you are setting up your rst two SimpleNet Powerline AV500 Ethernet
Adapters, once both of them are powered and connected to devices:
– Press the Security button on Adapter 1 for 1-3 seconds.
– Within 2 minutes, press the Security button on Adapter 2 for 1-3 seconds.
The Power LEDs will ash while the devices are
establishing a secure connection, then remain
lit once the connection has been established.
• If you’re adding more adapters to an established
network, follow the same procedure: set up the
new adapter, then — within 2 minutes — press
the Security buttons on each adapter for 1-3
seconds.
Note: If an added adapter was previously
installed on a dierent SimpleNet network, rst
reset it to factory defaults by pressing the
Security (Reset) button for 12 seconds.
LED Status Indication
PWR On The adapter is powered and ready for operation.
Blinking rapidly The adapter is listening for other devices.
Blinking slowly The adapter is in a power-saving mode (Standby),
(4 seconds on, 8 off) which it enters automatically if no other adapter
can be found on the network.
Off The adapter is not operating.
PL Red A weak signal is providing a slow network speed
(below 50 Mbps).
Orange A normal signal is providing a standard network
speed (50-99 Mbps).
Green An excellent signal is providing an optimal network
speed (100 Mbps or above).
Off No activity/connection.
ETH On The adapter is linked.
Blinking The adapter is transmitting/receiving.
Off The adapter is inactive.

Einrichtung
Der Powerline AV500 Ethernet Adapter (SimpleNet) ist ein Plug&Play-Gerät.
Mit einem einfachen Tastendruck können Sie eine sichere Verbindung zum
Internet oder zu Ihren netzwerkfähigen Geräten (Computer, Blu-ray-Player,
Spielekonsolen, etc.) herstellen.
1. Verwenden Sie das beiliegende Netzwerkkabel, um
den Adapter an Ihr Modem oder Ihren Router
anzuschließen. Falls Sie unser Starter Kit verwenden,
können Sie dafür beliebig einen der beiden Adapter
auswählen.
2. Stecken Sie jeden verwendeten Adapter in eine Steckdose. Hinweis: Stecken
Sie einen Powerline-Adapter nicht in eine Steckdosenleiste oder Steckdose
mit Überspannungsschutz, da dies seine ordnungsgemäße Funktion
beeinträchtigen kann.

angeschlossen haben, gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor:

Halten Sie die Sicherheitstaste an Adapter 1 für 1-3 Sekunden gedrückt

Adapter 2. Halten Sie diese ebenfalls 1-3 Sekunden gedrückt. Die Power LEDs blinken, während die Geräte eine sichere Verbindung herstellen, und

El Adaptador Ethernet Powerline AV500 (SimpleNet) es un dispositivo Plug and

Seguridad en su Adaptador de Red
Los siguientes pasos son opcionales pero altamente recomendables para mantener
la seguridad al máximo — importante en entornos como departamentos, donde
existe un sistema de cableado compartido.
• Para congurar el primero de los dos Adaptadores Ethernet Powerline AV500,
una vez que ambos estén encendidos y conectados a los dispositivos:
– Presione el botón de seguridad en el primer adaptador de 1 a 3 segundos.
– Tiene 2 minutos, para presionar el botón de seguridad en el segundo

Configuration

Bramka PLC AV500 Ethernet (SimpleNet) jest urządzeniem typu Plug and Play.
Poprzez proste wciśnięcie przycisku można nawiązać bezpieczne połączenie z
Internetem lub z innym urządzeniami w sieci (komputery, odtwarzacze Blu-ray,
konsole gier, itp.).
1. Używając dołączonego kabla Ethernet podłącz
bramkę do modemu lub routera. Jeśli używasz
zestawu bramek podłącz jeden z dwóch adapterów

La presente garantía cubre los siguientes productos contra cualquier defecto de fabricación en sus materiales y mano de obra.
A. Garantizamos los productos de limpieza, aire comprimido y consumibles, por 60 dias a par tir de la fecha de entrega, o por el tiempo en
que se agote totalmente su contenido por su propia función de uso, lo que suceda primero.
B. Garantizamos los productos con partes móviles por 3 años.
C. Garantizamos los demás productos por 5 años (productos sin partes móviles), bajo las siguientes condiciones:
1. Todos los productos a que se reere esta garantía, ampara su cambio físico, sin ningún cargo para el consumidor.
2. El comercializador no tiene talleres de servicio, debido a que los productos que se garantizan no cuentan con reparaciones, ni refacciones,
ya que su garantía es de cambio físico.
3. La garantía cubre exclusivamente aquellas partes, equipos o sub-ensambles que hayan sido instaladas de fábrica y no incluye en
ningún caso el equipo adicional o cualesquiera que hayan sido adicionados al mismo por el usuario o distribuidor.
Para hacer efectiva esta garantía bastará con presentar el producto al distribuidor en el domicilio donde fue adquirido o en el domicilio de IC
Intracom México, S.A.P.I. de C.V., junto con los accesorios contenidos en su empaque, acompañado de su póliza debidamente llenada y sellada por la casa vendedora (indispensable el sello y fecha de compra) donde lo adquirió, o bien, la factura o ticket de compra original donde se
mencione claramente el modelo, número de serie (cuando aplique) y fecha de adquisición. Esta garantía no es válida en los siguientes casos:
Si el producto se hubiese utilizado en condiciones distintas a las normales; si el producto no ha sido operado conforme a los instructivos de
uso; o si el producto ha sido alterado o tratado de ser reparado por el consumidor o terceras personas.
