1. Remove the covers from two available adjacent drive bays.
2. Insert the drive rack; align the screw holes.
3. Secure the rack with the screws (below left).
4. Connect the SATA power cable to the back of the HDD (15P) and the PC power cable (4P); connect the SATA data cable to the back of the HDD (7P) and the motherboard SATA port (7P); connect the small access SATA data cable to the back of the HDD (4P – 4P; e.g., HDD1 – HDD1).

1. Pull the latch to open the front door.
2. Insert the hard drive in the drive rack, label (printed) side up. CAUTION: The front panel door will not close firmly if the hard drive is inserted backwards. Damage can occur if the door is forced closed.
3. Press the door shut (pushing the hard disk drive into the drive rack) until it locks in place.

ADDITIONAL CAUTIONS:
1. Install the SATA port startup software prior to using the device.
2. If the inserted hard drive has application software, always switch the computer off before inserting/ejecting the hard drive.
3. The hard drive is a precision device: Handle with care. Read the manual prior use.

1. Open the door of the drive rack. CAUTION: Do not eject the hard drive while it is running, as damage to the drive or data loss could result.
2. Remove the hard drive from the drive rack, being careful that the bottom of the hard drive does not touch the metal housing inside the SATA drive rack. CAUTION: The hard drive can heat up to as much as 50˚C (122˚F); though not hot enough to burn, the hard drive should still be held only on its edges. Avoid contact with the printed circuit board.
3. Close the front panel door.

ADDITIONAL CAUTIONS:
1. Don’t place foreign objects inside the drive rack.
2. Always keep the front panel door closed to prevent damage and dust accumulation.
