Thank you for purchasing the MANHATTAN® SNMP Module, Model 168236. Designed to operate with the MANHATTAN Line Interactive Rackmount
UPS, Models 168205 and 168328, the module allows administrators to monitor status information through a Web browser interface or by using a standard SNMP network management system.
The easy-to-follow instructions in this guide help make installation of the
card quick and simple, so you’ll also soon be enjoying the benets of
these features:

INSTALLATION & CONFIGURATION
1. Make sure the direction of the connector cable is correct before attaching the module to the LAN using the appropriate UTP port.
CAUTION: Conrm that the DC power adapter input voltage is
correct (as indicated on the device) before plugging it into a power outlet.
2. Insert the included utility CD and make a selection from among the following programs, as needed.
• Netility — Congure the module’s IP address and perform rmware
upgrades.
• ClientMate — Shutdown software for Windows, Linux and FreeBSD.
• SNMPView — Software to manage multiple modules in a Windows system.
• UPS MIB — MIB denition le for SNMP management console.
• Time Server — Time calibration program.
