Thank you for purchasing this MANHATTAN® Parallel ExpressCard/34,
Model 158022.
This device quickly and easily adds a DB25 port to a PC ExpressCardenabled notebook computers to connect and communicate with parallel
peripheral devices. It can be congured to achieve transfer rates of up
to 600 kBps to take advantage of PC ExpressCard technology, and its
compliance with PC ExpressCard 1.0a specications ensures that
most PC ExpressCard-equipped notebook computers and connected
parallel devices can operate at peak performance.
Fitting PC ExpressCard 34/54 form factors for reliable and trouble-free
service, it also features built-in support for Windows 2000/XP and Vista,
so it requires no special drivers or software, which helps to eliminate
time-consuming, costly installation and potential device conicts.
The easy-to-follow instructions in this manual make use of the card simple,

INSTALLATION
Windows 2000/XP/Vista
Windows 2000, XP and Vista follow IEEE 1284 specications to support
a standard driver bundled in Windows. After plugging in the Parallel
ExpressCard/34, Windows will automatically detect the adapter and
install the needed driver.
Installation Verication
1. To conrm that the installation has been successful, right-click My
Computer on the desktop, then click “Manage” and “Device Manager.”
2. Click on the plus sign (+) in front of “Universal Serial Bus controllers”
and conrm that “USB Printing Support” displays.
