Read from / Write to an external drive
A Quick Dock is commonly used simply to work directly on an external hard disk
drive (HDD).
1. Use the included power adapter to
connect the DC Input jack (E) to an AC
outlet.
2. Use the included USB cable to connect
the Dock (F) to your computer.
3. Using the spacers (G) as needed, insert
up to four drives (2.5” or 3.5”) into the
slots in the Dock: Use (A) first, then (B),
then (C) and, finally, (D).
4. Press the On/Off button (H) and make
sure the Power LEDs (I) light. When the
PW (Positioned Well) LED (J) for the
corresponding slot lights, that external
drive should display on your computer,
and you can then read or write directly
to it.
One Touch Backup (OTB) from a PC
The OTB function lets you move selected
files from your PC hard drive to a separate
drive placed in the Dock. The software on
the included CD must be installed before
you use OTB.
Note: This PC-based software is not Mac
compatible.

• Follow Steps 1-4 above.
• Press the OTB button (K) on the Dock and follow the on-screen instructions in
the folder (K305BU3OTB) on the enclosed CD. The RW LEDs (L) indicate the external
drives in the corresponding slots are being read or written to.
• Click Eject on your computer before removing a drive from the Dock.
• Don’t turn o power to the Dock or remove a drive while any LED is blinking; that is, while any
data transfer is still in progress.

Direkter Zugriff auf eine externe Festplatte
Ein Quick Dock wird zur Datenverarbeitung auf externen Festplatten verwendet.
1. Verbinden Sie den Stromanschluss (E) über das beiliegende Netzteil mit einer
Steckdose.
2. Schließen Sie das Dock (F) über das
beiliegende USB-Kabel an Ihren
Computer an.
3. Verwenden Sie die Abstandhalter (G)
falls nötig und setzen Sie bis zu vier
Festplatten (2,5” oder 3,5”) in die Slots
des Docks ein: Verwenden Sie zuerst
(A), dann (B), dann (C) und zuletzt (D).
4. Drücken Sie den Ein/Aus-Schalter (H)
und achten Sie darauf, dass die Power LED (I) leuchtet. Wenn die PW-LED (J)
des entsprechenden Slots leuchtet,
sollte die externe Festplatte auf Ihrem
Computer angezeigt werden und Sie
können direkt darauf zugreifen.
“One Touch Backup” (OTB) von
einem PC
Mit der OTB-Funktion können Sie
ausgewählte Dateien von Ihrem PC auf
eine Festplatte in dem Dock übertragen.
Die Software auf der beiliegenden CD
muss vor der OTB-Nutzung installiert
werden.

• Folgen Sie den oben stehenden Schritten 1-4.

weisungen in dem Ordner (K305BU3OTB) auf der beiliegenden CD. Die RW-LEDs
(L) zeigen an, dass auf die externen Festplatten in den entsprechenden Slots
gerade geschrieben oder davon gelesen wird.
• Klicken Sie auf Auswerfen, bevor Sie eine Festplatte von dem Dock trennenk.

Trennen Sie nicht die Stromverbindung des Docks und entfernen Sie keine Festplatte während
eine der LEDs blinkt. Eine blinkende LED zeigt eine laufende Datenübertragung.

Leer / Escribir a un disco externo
El Quick Dock se utiliza comúnmente para trabajar directamente en un disco duro
externo.
1. Utilice el adaptador de corriente
incluido para conectar el enchufe (E) a
una toma de corriente.
2. Use el cable USB incluido para conectar
el Dock (F) a su computadora.
3. Puede usar los espacios (G) como le sea
necesario, puede insertar hasta cuatro

Respaldo con un solo toque (OTB)
La función OTB (“One Touch Backup”) le

montado en el Dock. El software incluido en el CD debe estar instalado antes de
utilizar OTB.

• Siga los pasos del 1 al 4 mostrados arriba.
• Presione el botón OTB (K) en el dock y siga las instrucciones en pantalla de la

indican cuando que las unidades externas están leyendo o escribiendo
