Thank you for purchasing the MANHATTAN® Cigarette
Lighter Power Adapter, Model 100830.
With 50 Watts and 10 voltage selectors that allow for
adjustable output levels, this handy adapter provides a
single, convenient AC source for most any portable device.
Before using the power adapter for the first time, read the
information in this manual so you’re familiar with the various
components. Proper usage and connections will help prevent
inadvertent damage to attached electrical devices.
Once you’re ready to use this adapter, you’ll enjoy the

1. Choose the voltage selector (right) that’s
appropriate for use with the device to be
connected to the power adapter. Typically,
a sticker like the one shown below can be
found on the device, indicating the voltage
required for operation. If there is not an
exact match in voltage among the 10 included voltage
selectors, choose
the one designated
for the next lowest
voltage; for example,
the 19.5 V DC rating
on the sticker would
indicate that the
19 V selector be
used. Once the
proper selector’s been identified, insert it into the slot on
the bottom of the power adapter, as shown below.

2. Choose whichever of the 8 included DC plug tips fits the
power adapter input jack on the device to be powered.
Next to the jack is a diagram indicating how the DC plug
tip needs to be connected to the power adapter cable so
the electrical polarity matches.
• If the diagram shows the positive sign (+) on the right,
insert the DC plug tip into the cable so that the “CEN”
side of the plug tip points to the “+” side of the cable.
• If the diagram shows the negative sign (–) on the right,
insert the DC plug tip into the cable so that the “CEN”
side of the plug tip points to the “–” side of the cable.
