Installation & Loading Instructions - Please Read Before Beginning

Mounting Bolt

. Insert mounting bolt (50mm or 60mm) into one of
the Base’s side hex holes. See image 1.

T-Knobs (8)

. Insert mounting bolt through one side of a Jawz
adapter and loosely apply T-knob. See image 2.

. Place the carrier onto the driver’s side front load
bar with the rounded side of the Base facing out.
Swing the Jawz adapter under the cross bar as
shown. See image 3.

. Insert mounting bolt through the opposite side
hex hole and Jawz adapter. Loosely apply the
second T-knob. See image 4.

. Repeat instructions 1-4 for the remaining three
saddle assemblies so that all four are loosely
mounted on the front and rear cross bars.

. Gently place the first SUP onto the vehicle roof.
One at a time, reposition and tighten each saddle
so that the SUP is centered on the roof, and, the
sides of the SUP are fully captured and supported
by the saddles. See image 6.

. The SUP should now be evenly positioned in the
saddles and centered in the middle of the roof.
The saddles should be firmly secured to the
cross bar. See image 7.

. Place and center the second SUP onto the
Spacer Pads. See image 9.

. Place the two Spacer Pads onto the SUP. Locate
each Pad parallel with the front and rear saddles
and centered on the board. See image 8.

NOTE: If only one SUP is to be transported, skip
Instruction 8 and go directly to Instruction 10.

. Dress the buckle end of the Load Strap under the
saddle and back up and over the top SUP.
See image 10.

NOTE: This instruction is applicable for both one
or two SUPs.

. Pull the buckle end of the Load Strap so that
one continuous loop is over the top SUP. Cross
the loop for additional holding power.
See image 11.

NOTE: This instruction is applicable for both
one or two SUPs.

. Dress the free end of the Load Strap under the
saddle and back up to the top of the SUP.
See image 12.

NOTE: This instruction is applicable for both one
or two SUPs.

. Dress the free end of the Load Strap through
the buckle and pull down to tighten. The
extra strap can be tied around the cross bar
or routed into the vehicle. See image 13.

Repeat Instructions 10-13 for the second Strap.

used for all rooftop transports. Always check mounting
hardware, load straps and safety tie-down lines for proper
and secure attachment before transport. Use of this
product for any other application other than watercraft

transport voids warranty.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

The Malone Auto Racks (Malone) Limited Lifetime Warranty covers certain Malone-brand products that have been specically
identied for inclusion in the program and is eective for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. This
warranty is terminated when the original retail purchaser sells or otherwise transfers the product to any other person or entity.

Subject to the limitations and exclusions described in this warranty, Malone will remedy defects in materials and/or
workmanship by repairing or replacing, at its option, a defective product without charge for parts or labor. Malone may
elect, at its option, not to repair or replace a defective product but rather issue to the original retail purchaser a refund
equal to the purchase price paid for the product, or credit to be used toward the purchase of a replacement Malone
product.

This warranty does not cover, and no warranty is given for defects or problems caused by normal wear and tear which
includes but is not limited to surface (aesthetic) metal corrosion, scratches, dents, deformities, accidents, unlawful
vehicle operation, or any modication of a product not performed or authorized in writing by Malone.

In addition, this warranty does not cover problems resulting from conditions beyond Malone’s control including, but not
limited to, theft, misuse, overloading, or failure to assemble, mount or use the product in accordance with Malone’s
written instructions or guidelines included with the product available to the original retail purchaser.

No warranty is given for Malone products purchased outside of the United States, Canada and Mexico.

If the product is believed to be defective, the original retail purchaser should contact the Malone dealer from whom it
was purchased, who will give the original retail purchaser instructions on how to proceed. If the original retail purchaser
is unable to contact the Malone dealer, or the dealer is not able to remedy the defect, the original retail purchaser should
contact Malone by email at [e-mail].

In the event that the product must be returned to Malone, a technician at the email address above will provide the
original purchaser with return shipping instructions. The original purchaser will be responsible for the cost of mailing
the product to Malone. In order to receive any remedy under this warranty, a copy of the original purchase receipt,
a description of the defect and a return address must be provided.

Disclaimer of Liability

Repair or replacement of a defective product, or the issue of a refund or credit (as determined by Malone) is the original
retail purchaser’s exclusive remedy under this warranty. Damage to original purchaser’s vehicle, cargo, or property, and/
or to any other person or property is not covered by this warranty.

This warranty is expressly made in lieu of any and all other warranties, express or implied, including the warranties of
merchantability and tness for a particular purpose.

Malone’s sole liability is limited to the remedy set forth above. In no event will Malone be liable for any direct, indirect,
consequential, incidental, special, exemplary, or punitive damages , or, for any other damages of any kind or nature
(including but not limited to, lost prots, lost income or lost sales).

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations
may not be applicable. This warranty gives you specic legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from
state to state.

In addition, all vehicular transports are potentially hazardous. Any person using MALONE products are personally
responsible for following the given directions for use, installation and accepts full responsibility for any and all damages
or injury of any kind including death, which may result from their use.

Garantie à vie limitée

La garantie à vie limitée offerte par Malone Auto Racks (Malone) couvre certains
produits de marque Malone qui ont été spécifiquement inclus dans ce programme et est

valide tant que l’acheteur original est propriétaire du produit. La présente garantie
prend fin lorsque l’acheteur original vend ou cède ce produit à une tierce partie.

Sous réserve des restrictions et exclusions décrites aux termes de cette garantie, Malone
corrigera toute défectuosité matérielle et/ou défaut de fabrication en réparant ou
remplaçant sans frais, à sa discrétion, un produit défectueux incluant pièces ou main­d’œuvre. Malone pourrait décider, selon le cas, de ne pas réparer ou remplacer un produit
défectueux mais plutôt de remettre à l’acheteur original du produit une somme égale au

prix déboursé pour le produit ou offrir un crédit pouvant être utilisé à l’achat d’un produit

de remplacement de Malone.

Cette garantie ne couvre pas les défectuosités ou les problèmes découlant d’une usure
normale du produit et aucune garantie n’est offerte à cet effet. L’usure normale
comprend, mais ne se limite pas à la corrosion métallique de surface (esthétique), aux
égratignures, au bossellement, à la déformation, aux accidents, à l’utilisation illégale du
produit ou à toute modification d’un produit n’ayant pas été effectuée par Malone ou pour
laquelle aucune autorisation par écrit n’aura été obtenue au préalable.

En outre, cette garantie ne couvre pas les problèmes résultant de circonstances échappant
au contrôle de Malone incluant, mais ne se limitant pas au vol, à une mauvaise utilisation
du produit, à son surchargement, à un assemblage ou à un usage du produit ne respectant
pas les instructions écrites ou directives du manufacturier accompagnant le produit lors
de son achat original.

Cette garantie ne s’applique pas aux produits Malone qui ont été achetés à l’extérieur des

États-Unis, du Canada ou du Mexique.

Si le produit semble présenter une défectuosité, l’acheteur original du produit devrait
contacter le détaillant auprès de qui l’achat a été effectué et celui-ci fournira à l’acheteur
les informations concernant la marche à suivre. Si l’acheteur original se trouve dans
l’impossibilité de contacter le dépositaire Malone, ou si ce dernier n’est pas en mesure de
remédier à la défectuosité, l’acheteur original devrait contacter Malone, par courriel, à
l’adresse suivante : [e-mail].

Dans l’éventualité où le produit devait être retourné à Malone, des instructions
concernant le retour de la marchandise seront fournies à l’acheteur original par un
technicien qui aura été contacté par courriel, tel qu’indiqué ci-dessus. L’acheteur original
devra défrayer les frais d’expédition. Pour être éligible à une réclamation selon les termes
de cette garantie, l’acheteur original du produit doit fournir une copie du reçu original,
une description de la défectuosité ainsi qu’une adresse de retour.

Exonération de responsabilité

La réparation ou le remplacement d’un produit défectueux, ou l’émission d’un
remboursement ou d’un crédit, tel que déterminé par Malone, constitue la seule
réclamation offerte à l’acheteur original du produit selon les termes de cette garantie. Les
dommages causés au véhicule de l’acheteur original, à son chargement, à ses biens et/ou

à toute autre personne ou autres biens ne sont pas couverts par la présente garantie.

La présente garantie est formulée uniquement et expressément en remplacement de toute
autre garantie, explicite ou tacite, y compris les garanties de qualité marchande et

d’aptitude à une fin donnée.

L’unique responsabilité endossée par Malone se limite aux réclamations énoncées ci-

dessus. Malone ne sera responsable, en aucun cas, des dommages directs, indirects,
consécutifs, spéciaux, exemplaires ou punitifs, ou de tout autre dommage, quel qu’en soit
la cause, incluant, mais ne se limitant pas, à la perte de profits, de revenus ou de ventes.

Certains états ne permettent pas l’exclusion des dommages consécutifs ou indirects.
Certaines des restrictions énoncées ci-dessus pourraient, de ce fait, ne pas s’appliquer. La
présente vous procure certaines garanties juridiques spécifiques. Vous pourriez également
bénéficier d’autres garanties, celles-ci pouvant varier d’un état à l’autre.

En outre, le transport en véhicule, de quelque nature qu’il soit, comporte des risques
potentiels. Toute personne utilisant un produit MALONE a la responsabilité de suivre
adéquatement les instructions fournies ainsi que les directives d’assemblage et accepte
l’entière responsabilité quant aux dommages ou blessures en tout genre, incluant le décès,
pouvant résulter de son utilisation.
