INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
SPARK PLUG WIRE TERMINAL AND BOOT
STANDARD BOOTS AND TERMINALS
1. Measure and cut the spark plug wire to desired length.
2. Install distributor cap boot on the spark plug wire (see Figure 1). To ease
installation, put a small amount of silicone based lubricant on the spark
plug wire.
3. Strip approximately 5/8" of insulation from the spark plug wire end. DO
NOT cut into the wire conductor core (see Figure 2).
4. Fold the wire core over the outside of the spark plug wire (see Figure 3).
5. Put the terminal on the end of the spark plug wire and crimp the
connection (see Figure 4).
6. Slide the distributor cap boot over the terminal (see Figure 5).
7. Install the spark plug wire between the distributor cap and spark plug.

HEI BOOTS AND TERMINALS
1. Measure and cut the spark plug wire to desired length.
2. Strip approximately 5/8" of insulation from the spark plug wire end. DO
NOT cut into the wire conductor core (see Figure 2).
3. Fold the wire core over the outside of the spark plug wire (see Figure 3A).
4. Put the terminal on the end of the spark plug wire and crimp the
connection (see Figure 4A).
5. Slide the distributor cap boot over the terminal (see Figure 5A).
6. Install the spark plug wire between the distributor cap and spark plug.
NOTE: Any damage to the wire conductor core will cause internal arcing
and destroy the performance of the spark plug wire.
Check the connections periodically. If the connector in the distributor cap
or coil is gray-green (or not shiny), this is evidence of spark-jumping or
a bad connection.
