INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

2010 CAMARO REAR DRIVESHAFT SAFETY LOOP

LAKEWOOD CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION PRODUCTS ARE ENGINEERED AND MANUFACTURED TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OF YOUR VEHICLE. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO ENJOY USING OUR PRODUCTS SAFELY AT A SANCTIONED RACING FACILITY. PLEASE OBEY ALL TRAFFIC LAWS.
Note: the use of jack stands to perform this installation is not recommended.
2. Locate and remove factory installed fasteners from rear tunnel brace.
3. Identify right and left side driveshaft safety loop mounting brackets.
Note: larger end of bracket faces rearward.
4. Using factory bolts, install brackets between body and factory tunnel brace or use Lakewood tunnel brace part no. 20110. Do not fully tighten fasteners at this time.
5. Place loop up and over driveshaft and move away from work area.
6. Install loop cross brace onto brackets using hardware supplied in installation kit. Be certain that cross brace offset is to rear of vehicle and that left side of cross brace is inboard of left mounting bracket whereas right side of cross brace is outboard of right mounting bracket. ( see photo of assembly)
7. At this point all fasteners can now be tightened.
8. Move loop into place and install using hardware supplied in installation kit.
9. Tighten loop fasteners to complete installation.
